I totally recommend Gabe's Locksmith Services! Gabriel changed my locks today. I called him yesterday and he was nice enough to squeeze me into his busy schedule. He was very professional and polite. Gabriel was not creepy at all to say the least I'm always wary of having a strange man in my home. I was comfortable with Gabriel on the phone and in person because he's a gentleman who is strictly business. He was upfront and honest about his pricing. I think he was worth every penny because he delivered excellent service and quality products. He thoroughly explained to me what my options were and didn't try to up sell me. He was punctual and quickly got the job done without making a mess. He respected my home and my culture by taking his shoes off at the front door without me requesting him to do so. He immediately began work and didn't try to sexually harass me which is good because that is usually a problem for me when I meet a man. I was happy with the locksmith work Gabriel did for me: 1. He replaced my front door lock with a high security lock that is very high tech compared to the cheap, old fashioned, unsecured lock that I had. 2. Installed a new deadbolt that's an upgrade from what I had that cannot be picked or easily broken into. He was thoughtful enough to make the new lock match the door knob and the deadbolt. Some locksmiths don't think about matching everything which is irritating to me because I want my things to look nice. 3. Made new keys for all of my bedroom doors that did not have keys. 4. Installed a new door knob with keys for my closet door. 5. He made all the bedroom keys match to one key. I didn't have the keys to the bedrooms in my house although there were key holes. 6. He installed a child proof lock at my front door. I totally recommend this if you have a small child. It was a very good lock that was aesthetically pleasing. Gabriel keeps in mind how you want things to look before he installs it and he's not opinionated. I had some very opinionated contractors who just does what they think is best or they talk me into something I don't want. He did all of this in about 45 minutes. He wasn't rushing and he wasn't sloppy. He was skilled and a master of his trade. Don't try to save a buck by shopping for a lower price on a locksmith and cheaper lock products because it's only going to cause you an inconvenience from the poor work performed and faulty or low quality products they provide you with their low quality services. Gabriel actually made my doors work better because he installed the locks and knobs properly. The keys fit perfectly and it slid in smoothly without sticking. Locking and unlocking was not a problem. My front door lock used to be suck a pain and a hassle because I have to wiggle and shake the hell out of the key to retrieve the key after unlocking and locking each time. It's better to pay full price and have things done right the first time. His prices are reasonable and it's about the going rate in my area. I can actually take my new front door locks with me by swapping it out with the old one if I move. Gabriel showed me how to remove the locks and replace it with the old ones. As a matter of fact it's pretty simple to do. Therefore, I won't loose my investment on the high security lock upgrade. read more

Let's just say that Gabriel made a terrible situation bearable. Last Saturday I lost not only my car keys but also my mailbox and house keys. It was 2:30 am and sad little me was sitting outside of my house in the freezing cold calling multiple locksmith companies for quotes. Out of the 4-5 companies I called, 2 didn't answer, 1 yelled at me in a foreign language and then hung up, and 1 told me that the service charge was $55 + labor and refused to tell me how much labor would cost and approximately how long I would have to wait. My last call was to First Bay Locksmith. Gabriel patiently answered all of my questions, provided me a price range over the phone while explaining each charge in detail, and amazing showed up within 20 minutes!!! Gabriel was really professional, funny, and courteous (he gave me his spare coat in his van after seeing I was visibly cold - who says chivalry is dead??). Before beginning to work he wrote a detailed receipt and explained each charge (which was honestly much cheaper than I expected especially because my car key has a chip). After agreeing to the price he quickly began to work and finished everything within 50 minutes! - 1 car key, two picked locks, and a new mailbox lock!! Gabriel was very easy to talk to on the phone & sounded attentive and asked questions. Gabriel is very punctual, & he answers the phone when you call! There's no service or some 800-number to leave a message with. As a business professional, answering the phone is a huge deal-breaker for me. I don't have time to listen for the phone ringing & then have to leave a message. Gabriel was courteous throughout the whole process & competitively priced. In fact, his prices are much better. Also, when he arrived onsite, he was instructed to me my associate as I was unable to be at the location. He immediately reviewed the costs & informed my associate of the additional costs before performing the work. He was informative, professional and very easy to work with. The communication was great. And I think my favorite part of my interaction w/Gabriel and his services was that he emailed the invoice and credit card receipt directly to me as soon as the job was finished. Love, love that! For a busy professional such as myself, waiting for an invoice in the mail isn't an option. So that made this experience that much more enjoyable. 5 Stars to Gabriel for saving my ass!!! I was leaving the house with all of my luggage to go for a weekend in San Diego. When I got to my car, I realized that my car and house keys were locked behind my front door. OUCH! To be honest, at first I panicked and thought of breaking a window, but didn't want to have to deal with that afterwards. Luckily I had my iPhone with me, so I Googled for a locksmith. The first one I called didn't pick up. The second one sounded like I was disturbing him in the middle of something and was very vague about how much it is going to cost me to get in to my house and retrieve my keys. He would only give me a service call fee and a minimum price for labor. So I had no idea how much he will charge me ("the technician will have to get there and see before he can give you a price" - what BS). The third company I called was First Bay Locksmith. Gabriel answered the phone and told me exactly how much he will charge. The price sounded reasonable so I called him over. 15 minutes later he was there, 2 minutes later the door was open, and 3 minutes after a bit of small talk and payment, I was on my way to the airport. My teen locked my keys in my car. I called Gabriel first and got a quote. I said I was going to call around and he educated me a little on other locksmiths practices on "services call fees, fees for this, fees for that" and how the end price "balloons" at the end. I made a few more calls and found out exactly what he meant! The first place I called hung up on me after I asked what the "full price" would be after I got the run around! The second "full price" quote was TWICE what Gabriel quoted me. The third was about thirty dollars more. So I called him back and told him he was sure right about those other businesses!! He was at my car when he said he would be and handed me my keys within 30seconds (much to the delight of the neighborhood children who had gathered to watch him!) Your number is in my phone Gabriel! You sure taught me a lot today about good business and good ethics and just good people. This guy really knows his stuff and will treat you well. After moving in to a new house, I had to get a locksmith to change my locks. Unfortunately I called a different company before calling First Bay Locksmith... They quoted me over the phone $25 to show up and then $19 and up per lock. Of course the "and up" is the part I should have listened to! The technician showed up over an hour late and then tells me it will be $70 for each lock, plus installation! First thing I did was to kick his ass out of my house. I will not be a victim in my own house. Second thing I did was look for a locksmith on Yelp! Which is what I should have done from the start. Gabriel quoted me a similar price to the first company, but when he showed up - that was really what he charged! He even did some extra labor for me for free, which was super nice of him. The quality of the work was very high and you can really see that this guy knows his stuff. He was polite and very accommodating. If I ever need a locksmith service, I will definitely call Gabriel again. Way to go small business owner! read more

The reviews for Gabriel and First Bay Locksmith are so good, it made no sense going anywhere else while looking to have all of the locks on my house changed! I can't say how glad I am that I did so! Gabriel showed up a couple of minutes early to our appointment and I could see right away that the guy knows what he's talking about... I told him I wanted really good locks, since my house got broken into twice now. He showed me the options and explained the prices for everything. It's amazing how even though the locks I chose were the high security, top-of-the-line stuff, the bottom-line price was still less than I payed the last company I had change my locks (and looks like they put on the cheap stuff and overcharged by about 200%!!!). He did a great job installing everything and I can't believe how smoothly all the keys work now =) Now I feel much safer and I know that if there is anything I will need in the future, Gabriel's my man! read more

so the other day i was getting stuff out of the backseat of my car (with keys in hand) and as i locked the door and closed it i looked down at my key ring to see that my car key had fallen off. i searched though all my bags in my hands and looked into my car to see my car key just laying there on floor of the car...mocking me. so, of course i FREAK OUT! it's my ONLY car key! what the heck am i going to do?! so i run upstairs to tell my husband and he gets online and just picks first bay locksmith off a list of many locksmiths, well the locksmith told my husband straight out what it would cost and said if he found it cheaper he would beat their price by 5 dollars, which i thought was totally reasonable and said he would be here within 25 min, well it only took him 15 AND took about 2 min to get into my car and grab the key. Excellent!!! Proffesional, came in less than 30 minutes, done in less than 15. I would most deffinitly recommend First Bay Locksmith to everybody time and time again. I called around to multiple Locksmith's in the bay area, and I found that this Locksmith was absolutley the cheapest one around. Watch out for the price quotes from other locksmiths, as they add fees and additional charges when they arrive. First Bay Locksmith gave a accurate quote over the phone at the flat rate, no hidden fees or charges upon arrival. Gabriel is so awesome. Unlike other locksmiths, who give a quote the starting price over the phone but then charge an arm and an leg once the job is done, Gabriel charges a flat rate, which is even cheaper than the starting but never actual price other locksmiths quote. He was extremely honest about his pricing. He showed up, not just on time, but early! He is extremely friendly and professional. I'm an extremely curious person and asked him questions about what he was doing the entire time and he had no problem explaining everything to me. Next time I need a locksmith, there is no doubt that I will absolutely call Gabriel again. And if anyone else i know needs one (or even if they don't need one, I will still bring it up out of the blue to recommend him), I will certainly refer them to him. read more
