He arrived within 20 minutes, and may I say - this man clearly has experience with how people are feeling (spoiler alert: anxious and embarrassed) when they are locked out of their homes especially with pets inside - he knew exactly the right things to say and do to make me feel better. I was very confused about how I could possibly lock myself out, since the only locking mechanism I ever use is a deadbolt lock - my understanding of that kind of lock, is that it's impossible to accidentally lock yourself out . I had a strange problem with the doorknob of my front door that was quite worrisome. It seemed like the doorknob was locked ... but it really was not. I don't know when the issue cropped up, but I gasped when it was discovered because it was a clear threat to my security - especially as a person living alone.
