Was able to come quickly and reliably when I locked myself out of my car. Very professional and would recommend again!

Highly recommend Max! The lock on my only door got so stuck it wouldn't budge, and I was locked out on a cold night. Max was here quickly, replaced the lock, and even keyed it to the existing key. What could have been a super stressful experience was as easy and painless as it could have been. Thank you so much! read more

Quick, highly responsive and respectful. I needed some service on the doors and Max did a great job. Not only was he communicative with me, he was also kind and chatted with me while he worked. If i can give him more stars i would as my dog was freaking out on him for stranger danger. But he was calm and collected while respecting my dogs' space. He even stopped to talk to my dog explaining he just wants to walk past him. That is a HUGE plus for me! He was in and out in 30 mins. Oh and for those who are environmental enthusis, re rexycles your old keys. Love it! If you need someone for door service, look no futher. He's the one. read more

Got locked out of my apartment in north berkeley on a Sunday evening. Max helped me out and i highly recommend him. He was great. Got here quickly, super friendly and easy to work with, price was very reasonable. And he got my door open in about one minute. My only regret is i didn't tip him. Next time i would tip him something for doing such a great job at a reasonable price on a Sunday night. Thanks Max! read more

I got locked out at 8 PM and Max came in 15 minutes. He got the door open super fast! Affordable too (relative to other quotes I got), and actually stuck to the quote he gave me over the phone. I'm so happy with his service that I'll give him a call to replace a faulty deadbolt when I'm not rushed. Hopefully I don't get locked out again but if I do I'll definitely hire him! read more

I had reviewed Max with Reliable Locksmith Bay Area and did not give him a great review. I can't seem to find to review to change it so I will do it here. Max install a new customer supplied Baldwin lock set on the front door of our 110 year old home in the Oakland hills. The work was not to my satisfaction. I wrote a bad review. BUT Max contacted me immearely and come back and made me very happy with the final results. read more

Reliable Locksmith is what you're looking for: affordable rates, quick, organized, experienced, and calm. We had an emergency lock repair at midnight, and Max's calm nature helped my family feel at ease in the process. I saved his company contact, and will refer friends and family here. Thanks, Max! read more

Amazing, reliable, honest, straightforward, friendly and not at all shady like so many other locksmiths! Highly recommend these guys!

Thank you past reviewers. I chose this company because of the great reviews and they were accurate. My problems were a front door and a file cabinet that needed rekeying. Max the owner was very nice on the phone, arranged a time to come over that day and gave me a general fee to start from. He had no problem in rekeying the front door but the file cabinet because of its age presented a special challenge that required multiple unforeseen hours, a trip to the hardware store and additional visits to complete. I am in awe of Max because his demeaner never changed. He didn't give up until the job was completed and didn't charge me more for all the time he put in. Thank you Max. He is the go to guy that I will be referring all my friends to. read more

Locked myself out of my apartment at about 8:15 pm on a Saturday night. Max said he would be there in about 30 minutes, and he actually was! The whole thing took less than an hour - from the time I called to the time he unlocked my door. Max was super nice and sympathetic and got my door open very quickly. I mentioned that I was going to make a copy of my key the next day, and he offered to make me one on the spot for free! The price was totally reasonable for my dumb mistake and Max made the experience a lot less miserable than it would otherwise have been. Hopefully I won't have to but I will def call him in the future if I ever need a locksmith again. Thank you! read more

I had Max rekey four locks in my house and remove an old padlock. He was responsive and easy to work with. He consulted with me on a possible color mismatch for a new cylinder and replaced the one what wouldn't have matched with one that matched perfectly. Next time I need locksmithing I'll be happy to call him again. read more

Max doesn't provide the type of lock service I need, but he referred me to another locksmith that does. His response was timely and helpful.

I was locked out of my place. I tried calling them to see if they could help me. I left a voicemail but they never got back to me.

Max is a one man operation and you get the attention and conscientiousness you might expect from the owner of the business. Max was the only one of three businesses I reached out to that responded promptly, and he was able to do the work the next business day. Installed two deadbolt locks to interior doors which required a lot of drilling and sawing. Very friendly, sincere, and clearly an expert at his craft. Very reasonable prices and he even did some quick adjustments on two other locks that were getting sticky without even charging for them. Definitely my new go-to locksmith! read more
