Communication started off well, but things quickly became a long, drawn-out process full of delays, misquotes, and poor follow-through. 1. Weeks of Delays & Scheduling Changes What should have been a straightforward job ended up taking over three weeks, with multiple reschedules--often last-minute. I repeatedly had to follow up to get updates. 2. Poor Responsiveness After the work was finally completed, I spent weeks trying to get corrected receipts for my landlord. My messages on text were mostly unanswered until I warned that I would leave a review. 2. Wrong Part Ordered & Refund Delays They charged me for a part that wasn't used, admitted it, and said the trim cost would be refunded in 5-10 business days. It has now been longer than that, and still no refund. Once again, no response unless I chase them. Overall, this felt like a mix of miscommunication, disorganization, and lack of accountability. This company is awesome. The reviews before me are spot on. Straight shooter and Quick! Doing business with them was soooo Easy! I lost my last key fob a few days ago. Did my research on aftermarket fob/key for my 2017 (not push start) Toyota Rav4 and purchased two (best to have back-up at this point)! So I submitted a project request on Yelp for a vendor to give me a quote on programming and keying the two. B&B Locksmith and Security answered within a day, gave me a reasonable price (aligned with two of the lowest I had already received) and were able to come to ME the next day. Matthew called when he was 20min out, showed up very professional and warm. Explained the process and I let him to it. Finished within 20min and just like that my two keys and fobs worked! Lost my keys to a most unfortunate incident and immediately called up Mazda only to be majorly insulted by the cost to replace the key ($230 for the fob and a guesstimate of $160 for labor) - JEEZ! After scanning other options on Yelp, I found B&B Locksmith and requested a quote and received a reply from Alex almost immediately despite being late in the day. He quoted $220, which is still pricey, but much more reasonable than Mazda. Despite not having my key fob in stock, Alex's professionalism and response time was very much appreciated. Plus, since I still had my spare, I wasn't in a rush so I decided to wait for a key fob to be ordered. About 2 weeks later, we arranged for an appointment. Manny, the technician, gave me a courtesy call about 15 minutes prior to arriving and was very friendly through the whole service call which took about 35 minutes for key programming and key cutting. He was also very thorough in testing my key for service and also gave me a tip about getting a reimbursement from AAA for this service. Paying for the transaction was seamless and Manny was very conscientious of COVID precautions. He also took the time to verify my email address thoroughly and had me check that I received my receipt to ensure I could tap into the AAA reimbursement. Modern car keys are so expensive to copy. We have a 2012 Honda Fit, and the dealership charges $200 per copy. That's to supply a cut key and program three buttons (lock, unlock, panic). My car was stolen with both keys. Fortunately the car was recovered but keys are gone. After getting my car released from the tow company, I asked for help in Yelp, B&B is the one who responded me in minutes and their quote is reasonable. The communication with the owner - Alex is very efficient. Based on my requirement, he sent Matt for the on-site service. Matt called me 30mins in advanced and arrived just on time. He unlocked the door and reprogrammed the key. However,because my car's garage opener control panel was broken and wires were cut in the theft, the new keys remote did not work as expected. Matt suggested me to have my car been repaired first then try the key remote control again. If still has issue after the repair, just let him know. 6 weeks later, I got my car back. Unfortunately, the remote control still did not work. I contacted B&B again. Alex checked with Matt and sent him for the next day service. Again, I got 30mins in advanced notice from Matt before his arrival. As Matt explained, the reason it didn't work before was due to the cut wires from when they stole the car. It affected the car from receiving the frequency from the key. After I got the car fixed, Matt reprogrammed the keys. The computer in the car recognized the frequency and accepted the keys.
