Hero Locksmith - That is a picture of my apartment being open, amen - Keys & Locksmiths Near Me

Open on Sundays which is a big plus for assistance outside the typical workweek. Responsive. Quick turnaround. Good value.

I woke up around 11am today, realizing that My key broke off from the ring and it was nowhere in or outside so I needed a new ignition key. It's 2 pm and I have a key!! Everyone else won't give estimates, don't have time - but these people were fast, quoted me based on knowledge of my vehicle and got out to me FAST! They also were the lowest price i was offered!!!! Locksmith was MIKE great nice (good looking) guy! He was my real hero today! read more

I lost my key to my 2008 Saturn Astra with no spare to be had. I called and was given a quote in $180-$240 range. Person who answered said someone would call soon. Person called me back I told him all the info and asked if he could do it to which he said no problem. So he came over and immediately knew he wasn't a certified locksmith ( to young and drove a tiny car with few tools. Worked a couple hours and then told me about $65 service fee and then I would have to pay $195 to get code for total fee for key at $450 nit what was quoted originally. Getting more mad every minute about this I realized I needed this key made so I agreed. Then he told me place that he would get code from was closed and he would return 9:30 next day with key ready to go reluctantly I said OK but that key better be ready to go that morning think I would lose just 2 hr of work. He called and said it would be just a little later then calls again and then again and then again, each time I asked if if key was done and ready to work. Yes he said every time. He finally showed at 2:30 messed with it for couple of hours then said it wouldn't work and then after costing me $1000 in lost wages he wanted the $65 fee and would sell me a key to unlock doors for another $50. He narrowly mised getting hurt badly so I paid him and he told me that the "expert" at the company would call me and he would fix me up. EXPERT!!. WHY WASNT HE SENT OUT IN FIRST PLACE? He did call and told me I would need a originalckey from dealer to fix it. When I told him I just did buy an unlocked original online the export told me he would have to check with dealer if that was OK. Called next day said key I got wouldn't work but I could buy one from him. Folks this Hero is nothing but conmen running a scam on desperate people. They are an answering service only and assign you a someone to drain your $$. Don't believe it? Call and see how many sounds you hear as it transfers lines in order not to be traced. I contacted DA's office about them and was told they were looking at them as I wasn't only one who has complained. CALL ANOTHER LOCKSMITH AND ASK TO SEE THEIR CERTIFICATION the DA's office told me. Good luck! read more

I accidentally broke off a key in the lock of my apartment door. So, I was locked out, AND my door lock was jammed. It was also dark and very cold outside. I called them and was connected with their technician, Tony, who showed up super fast and was able to fix my problem immediately! Hero Locksmith and Tony saved the day!!! Thank you!!! read more

The facts: I had a tricky lock on my trunk. I was giving the car to my mother and wanted the lock repaired first. The business was quick to respond and show up at my house. Communication was great. The guy who showed up at my house to fix the trunk lock said my lock wasn't broken. He proceeded to put WD-40 in it. I challenged him to unlock the trunk himself and he could not. He agreed it was broken. He spent 40 minutes attempting to fix it but said that there was a part of the lock inside that was bent, but there was nothing he could do about it because it "came from the factory that way". He made me a new key, my trunk was slightly less hard to open afterwards, but is still broken and a normal person who is not being coached cannot open the trunk. You have to jiggle it and try a few times to open it before it will work. I was charged $325 for a new old fashioned key (the kind that would cost $3 at Home Depot) and a lock that was still broken. These people are incompetent crooks. Do not hire them. read more

Here's the short version: Service: Replace Key Fob Pro's: Good communication, professional, quality OEM Fob, fast, convenient mobile service to your door step, delivered as promised, and punctual Con's: None to speak of The longer version: Spoke to Ben via the quote feature about replacing a key fob for my Hyundai Santa Fe. We arranged a time for him to come as he is a mobile service. We then communicated via text message and he came as promised. He actually was flexible adjusting the time back a bit because my schedule changed slightly due to a work meeting. He made the key fob in less than 15 minutes using an OEM fob that worked great. The locksmith they sent made the wrong key . I was suppose to be receiving a master key the locksmith made a spare key of the valet key (for my car the valet key only opens the door and starts the car) . I didn't notice this until the day after because when I went to open my trunk the key didn't work & I was also told I have a 30 day warranty . When I called the company to let them know what happened the receptionist acted like she didn't what was going then they the locksmith and he starts to blame me a key he made and wants to argue so I jus call back the receptionist and she just keeps putting it on the locksmith ...and now I am stuck with the wrong key and no master ...do not go here read more

Truly a hero!!! I lost the ignition key to my 2013 Subaru yesterday and did not discover the loss until today. When I called Subaru the dealership told me it was going to cost well over $1200 and could be as long as two weeks to get replaced. I am hoping I won't need their services ever agin, but if I do, I will call on them without hesitation. Truly professional, timely, friendly, knowledgable, and totally saved me! So last night , rushing out of the house, my wife and I left both sets of keys inside our home. We realized immediately and started freaking out. We destroyed one of my credit cards trying to break in . We called our landlord but he lives far away so he was a last resort. While my wife searched for a bobbypin , I started called locksmiths in the area. The first one said they would come out but it would be $300. I was like oh hell nah. The second call , they said they can come out on Monday. Fucking assholes lol Thank God , I have an account with thumbtack and I found Hero Locksmith. The whole ordeal was over in about 25 minutes. It cost $130 and we were able to get inside in less than 10 minutes . I only wish I would have found them sooner. Thank you David. You are awesome!! read more

After I wrote the initial pour review, Ben the owner reached out to me instantly via message on yelp and wanted to make it right. When our schedules allowed us Ben came to my house and fixed my key and provided me a method to fix. He also took ownership of the errors and the poor communication with his staff. Ben really gets taking care of customers and making sure to make things right and to make sure they are happy. I would recommend anyone to Hero Locksmith. I appreciate when the owner takes the time to fix a situation without excuses or blame and wants to do make things right. Ben even has been following up with me to make sure they key is working (there was another glitch with the locking part, and he making sure to come fix that.) I really appreciate his sense of urgency as well as customer service. Thank you for making things right. read more

So New Year's Eve I apparently lost my car key while out and about. However I didn't notice until around 8pm on New Year's Day when I got ready to go to the store. Frustrated that my car key was the only thing missing from my bag from the night out I had I looked frantically around the house. My car key fob has become detached from the keychain and was no where to be found. I even went back downtown to see if I may have dropped it in the street or in line while waiting to get into the nightclub. No luck. Stressed out, I googled locksmiths that were available in the area to make me a new key. I found hero locksmith and called for a quote. They answered and gave me a fair priced quote and came to me within one hour. Ben arrived promptly and went over the process with me letting me know all he needed to do to make me a new key fob for my car. It was really cold that night and he let me know there was no need for me to wait for him and that he would call me to let me know when he had completed reprogramming the new key. Ben finished in about 30 minutes. He demonstrated all the functions on the key so he could show me that they all work. Everything worked just fine. My trunk opened. Doors locked and unlocked and alarm sounded. I was very grateful. Ben was amazing and very helpful. He is definitely the hero at the hero locksmith. The service was great and I am glad that me losing my key was not as stressful as a situation as I anticipated thanks to Hero Locksmith! read more
