I lost my key to my 2008 Saturn Astra with no spare to be had. I called and was given a quote in $180-$240 range. Person who answered said someone would call soon. Person called me back I told him all the info and asked if he could do it to which he said no problem. So he came over and immediately knew he wasn't a certified locksmith ( to young and drove a tiny car with few tools. Worked a couple hours and then told me about $65 service fee and then I would have to pay $195 to get code for total fee for key at $450 nit what was quoted originally. Getting more mad every minute about this I realized I needed this key made so I agreed. Then he told me place that he would get code from was closed and he would return 9:30 next day with key ready to go reluctantly I said OK but that key better be ready to go that morning think I would lose just 2 hr of work. He called and said it would be just a little later then calls again and then again and then again, each time I asked if if key was done and ready to work. Yes he said every time. He finally showed at 2:30 messed with it for couple of hours then said it wouldn't work and then after costing me $1000 in lost wages he wanted the $65 fee and would sell me a key to unlock doors for another $50. He narrowly mised getting hurt badly so I paid him and he told me that the "expert" at the company would call me and he would fix me up. EXPERT!!. WHY WASNT HE SENT OUT IN FIRST PLACE? He did call and told me I would need a originalckey from dealer to fix it. When I told him I just did buy an unlocked original online the export told me he would have to check with dealer if that was OK. Called next day said key I got wouldn't work but I could buy one from him. Folks this Hero is nothing but conmen running a scam on desperate people. They are an answering service only and assign you a someone to drain your $$. Don't believe it? Call and see how many sounds you hear as it transfers lines in order not to be traced. I contacted DA's office about them and was told they were looking at them as I wasn't only one who has complained. CALL ANOTHER LOCKSMITH AND ASK TO SEE THEIR CERTIFICATION the DA's office told me. The facts: I had a tricky lock on my trunk. I was giving the car to my mother and wanted the lock repaired first. The business was quick to respond and show up at my house. Communication was great. The guy who showed up at my house to fix the trunk lock said my lock wasn't broken. He proceeded to put WD-40 in it. I challenged him to unlock the trunk himself and he could not. He agreed it was broken. He spent 40 minutes attempting to fix it but said that there was a part of the lock inside that was bent, but there was nothing he could do about it because it "came from the factory that way". He made me a new key, my trunk was slightly less hard to open afterwards, but is still broken and a normal person who is not being coached cannot open the trunk. You have to jiggle it and try a few times to open it before it will work. I was charged $325 for a new old fashioned key (the kind that would cost $3 at Home Depot) and a lock that was still broken. These people are incompetent crooks. Do not hire them. read more

The locksmith they sent made the wrong key . I was suppose to be receiving a master key the locksmith made a spare key of the valet key (for my car the valet key only opens the door and starts the car) . I didn't notice this until the day after because when I went to open my trunk the key didn't work & I was also told I have a 30 day warranty . So last night , rushing out of the house, my wife and I left both sets of keys inside our home. We realized immediately and started freaking out. We destroyed one of my credit cards trying to break in . We called our landlord but he lives far away so he was a last resort. So New Year's Eve I apparently lost my car key while out and about. However I didn't notice until around 8pm on New Year's Day when I got ready to go to the store. Frustrated that my car key was the only thing missing from my bag from the night out I had I looked frantically around the house. My car key fob has become detached from the keychain and was no where to be found. I even went back downtown to see if I may have dropped it in the street or in line while waiting to get into the nightclub. No luck.
