This review is for a takeout order. This place has always caught my eye so one day when I was getting a pedicure I decided to try it. The staff is very friendly and quick with getting orders out. I ordered the Vermicelli bowl and didn't wait very long. The dish itself was seasoned well and tasted authentic. The meat was tender and the fish sauce was just enough to give the dish a balance.The prices are budget friendly and they are generous with the portion sizes. The seating is limited but if you wish to dine in come at a reasonable time to avoid any crowd. The parking can be a bit limited too but just be careful and park in a spot with some extra wiggle room. Overall, the staff was warm and welcoming. I ordered takeout for the first time here yesterday and will definitely be back. It's hard to find veggie pho, but Hello Pho has an easy-to-follow menu with a vegetarian section. My takeout order was ready in about 10 minutes, and the pho was still piping hot after my 10-minute drive home. Tried again on Monday, hoping our last visit was a bad day. Ordered Fresh Spring Rolls, Bahn Mi, Pho, Beef Vermicelli, 2 cokes and 2 waters. The Spring Rolls had minimal shrimp and absolutely not worth it even half the price. The peanut sauce is still oddly watered down. Bahn Mi was good but very skimpy on the meat. Pho was decent. The beef was skimpy in the vermicelli and it was not grilled as typically done and the whole dish had a very oily texture to it. Very unpleasant. We only received one Coke and no waters. Asked for them to complete our order, only gave us one more coke. Asked again for water and they never brought it. The server who also bussed the tables never once washed his hands. One gal/employee or daughter l, who knows was on her laptop in a large 6 seated corner table. She was the one who brought us the 1st coke but didn't interact with us at all otherwise. One man came from the back and shuffled some cases of water (would have paid for two if he acknowledged us). He bumped a basket of the floor that is used to store the menus. He then used his foot to push the menus back in place. So disgusting!! Will never return!! read more

One of the highlights of the last few months! Our favorite place in Walnut Creek had shutdown in 2019 and we have been trying the Vietnamese places near us, which were all fine, but not stellar. So happy to have found Hello Pho!! We're there at least once a week now. When I'm craving a nice rice or vermicelli plate this is my go to. Customer service is always great and the food is just as good. I usually order the pork or beef rice/ vermicelli plates. Its a large serving of both meat and noodles that leave me stuffed. Their banh mi sandwich with chicken is my absolute favorite and is very filling. Avocado shake here is super refreshing and compliments their delicious food. Definitely give it a try here! read more

I'm a regular here now I drive from Pittsburg often. They know my order when I walk in. I order the spring rolls with peanut dipping sauce really good. The fried chicken wings are big crispy with just the right amount of spice. I love the pork chop combo It comes out grilled to perfection with green onion to top and rice with a fried egg. This is a small cozy restaurant centrally located in mostly residential area and on one of their main road monuments blvd. The menu is easy to read with pictures which is good. The decor of the place is not the best but pretty clean and staffs are friendly. Once you place your order, it doesn't take long for your foods to arrive at your table, which is an A++ for me. The pho' is the same as any Vietnamese Pho' restaurants in the bay. I think what make a pho' special and delicious is the broth and their special chili oil sauce. I am only going to review the vegetarian pho, as that is the only thing I have ever ordered, and also the only thing I will continue to order. For one thing, as far as I know, it is the only place except Veggie Today that you can get it. The broth truly is vegetarian (say what?), and the vegetables are really fresh in the broth instead of clearly getting the bejeezus cooked out of them. Best pho in Contra Costa county. Hello Pho should be in Walnut Creek. Friendly customer service and clean atmosphere. The pho broth is clear, not too salty or greasy, and overly seasoned. I always get # 7 small and it's just right. My boyfriend always get's the Veggie noodle soup and loves it. Easily one of my favorite pho places. I love going here with my sisters and boyfriend, we all love it. And the owner is really friendly and loves sparking up a conversation. I always get the same style of pho, just with steak slices, but I love the broth and the noodles are cooked perfectly. However their Vietnamese sandwiches are amazing too, and the only local place I've found that sells them. No matter what I'm craving, pho, egg rolls, sandwiches, I always leave full and happy. Slim pickings when it comes to food options in Concord. I get a 45 min. lunch break and this is the closest Pho spot from my work. It's small, about 10 tables, but clean. Fast service. Sit down. Water is served. Waiter is ready to take your order. Two mins later, hot bowl of Pho. Super friendly staff and I always end up talking with the owner about random things like fruit.
