I tried their Combination Dried Noodles, which came with shrimp, BBQ pork, house sauce, and chopped peanuts on top, along with a hot bowl of broth served on the side. For the noodles, you can choose between rice noodles or egg noodles. I opted for the egg noodles. The bowl looked very appetizing when it arrived. The BBQ pork slices were juicy and succulent, and the shrimp seemed lightly grilled, giving them a pleasantly slight crispy exterior. The noodles were slightly overcooked for my liking, but it was not a big issue. Overall, the dish was quite yummy. I also really enjoyed the broth, which was savory and complemented the noodle dish well. For condiments, they offered the usual hoisin sauce and sriracha, but they also had a house-made chili sauce cooked with shallots and possibly shrimp paste. It was extremely spicy but incredibly delicious. The restaurant ambiance was fairly standard, but the service was immaculate. The lady who served us was very friendly and attentive. She refilled our water frequently and never rushed us, even when we took our time chatting after the meal. Overall, the service was excellent.

Cash or debit is preferred. There's a 3% free on Credit card. The grilled pork sausage and grilled pork vermicelli was delicious! I tried the broth of the pho and it was clean and flavorful. Because I'm in search for a good banh mi, I ordered one on the side to try. For $9 this banh mi was very small... The cut a while loaf in half. I got the combination one, and it was not very packed with meat. One order would not have been enough if this is all you're eating. I personally don't think this is worth it and will not order it again. Overall we enjoyed the food and would go back again.

They put a lot of veggies in their sandwich which I really like. Their sandwiches are on the small side but I like all the veggies. My husband felt they didn't put enough meat in his grilled chicken sandwich. I was fine.

In the area to pick up an online order, we had a craving for Vietnamese food. Checked out Yelp for ideas and decided on Hello Pho. It's located in a mini mall with plenty of parking. There were two tables of customers when we arrived and the lady manning the front said we could sit anywhere. The dining room was spacious with about ten tables. Checking out the menu, we placed our orders and the food came out fairly quickly. #16 Combo Pho - comes in small or large, I opted for large. The soup had sliced steak, brisket, tripe, tendon and meatball. The bean sprouts, Thai basil, cilantro and lime were prepackaged in a plastic bag. It was a good bowl of pho, but I thought the broth had a lack of depth in flavor. #65 Vermicelli with grilled pork with egg roll add-on. The W enjoyed the food and said the pork and egg roll were well made. The waitress brought more fish sauce when requested. Good Vietnamese food with friendly service in a nice spacious clean restaurant.

First time getting pho in the concord area and it did not disappoint! Plenty of parking in front of the establishment. Its a clean small restaurant with indoor dining. Very laid back atmosphere. The menu had many options from appetizers (I got the spring rolls which were delicious!), pho (the beef pho was a 8/10), vermicelli bowls and banh mis (i got the bbq pork one 9/10). The service was quick and efficient. All the staff was friendly which I appreciated. Bathroom is available to customers. I would definitely come again:)

Delicious pho and fried egg rolls! Service is super fast and the workers are so kind. My kids love pho noodles and this place doesn't get as packed as the Vietnamese restaurants in Walnut Creek. I find the quality here to be better with slightly higher prices. The area is a little sketch, so be sure to take your belongings when parking here.

I ordered takeout for the first time here yesterday and will definitely be back. It's hard to find veggie pho, but Hello Pho has an easy-to-follow menu with a vegetarian section. My takeout order was ready in about 10 minutes, and the pho was still piping hot after my 10-minute drive home. The person who took my order was really nice and also brought out my order to me when it was ready. read more

One of the highlights of the last few months! Our favorite place in Walnut Creek had shutdown in 2019 and we have been trying the Vietnamese places near us, which were all fine, but not stellar. So happy to have found Hello Pho!! We're there at least once a week now. (TBH when we found them it might have been 3 times a week) The Banh mi is fresh and tasty, the vermicelli bowls are great and the spring rolls are super fresh, and the meat plate always hits the spot. read more

When I'm craving a nice rice or vermicelli plate this is my go to. Customer service is always great and the food is just as good. I usually order the pork or beef rice/ vermicelli plates. Its a large serving of both meat and noodles that leave me stuffed. Their banh mi sandwich with chicken is my absolute favorite and is very filling. Avocado shake here is super refreshing and compliments their delicious food. Definitely give it a try here! read more

I've passed this place a few times and finally, I had a chance to check it out. Parking lot is shared with Food maxx and a few other spots like Subway and what not, but the times I've been in the area, parking isn't bad. ----------------------- Entering Hello Pho, we are asked how many. Menu on the table and start looking though. ------------------------- I ordered the Beef Steak Pho. I also order Fresh spring roll with chicken (which has to be added on). So the Pho was delicious.. I mean tons of soup and noodles even for a small bowl. -------------------------- The spring rolls... my god.. those were SOOO GOOD. I've come here twice a week in the last month! Their Bahn Mi is worth every penny. Super cheap and the sandwich is so delicious. Every time I'm hungry and don't know what to eat, I just come here. Never been disappointed! Besides they let you add anything to it, for example I added an egg to mine and it was super delicious! Definitely recommend this place if you're looking for Bahn Mi! This is a small cozy restaurant centrally located in mostly residential area and on one of their main road monuments blvd. The menu is easy to read with pictures which is good. The decor of the place is not the best but pretty clean and staffs are friendly. Once you place your order, it doesn't take long for your foods to arrive at your table, which is an A++ for me. The pho' is the same as any Vietnamese Pho' restaurants in the bay. I think what make a pho' special and delicious is the broth and their special chili oil sauce. If you're soup broth isn't good to great, atleast you need the chili oil sauce for flavor. read more

I'm a regular here now I drive from Pittsburg often. They know my order when I walk in. I order the spring rolls with peanut dipping sauce really good. The fried chicken wings are big crispy with just the right amount of spice. I love the pork chop combo It comes out grilled to perfection with green onion to top and rice with a fried egg. Really delicious I recommend if you want pho don't miss out! read more

I am only going to review the vegetarian pho, as that is the only thing I have ever ordered, and also the only thing I will continue to order. For one thing, as far as I know, it is the only place except Veggie Today that you can get it. The broth truly is vegetarian (say what?), and the vegetables are really fresh in the broth instead of clearly getting the bejeezus cooked out of them. I always dump in much chili oil, just because that is how I roll. read more

Best pho in Contra Costa county. Hello Pho should be in Walnut Creek. Friendly customer service and clean atmosphere. The pho broth is clear, not too salty or greasy, and overly seasoned. I always get # 7 small and it's just right. My boyfriend always get's the Veggie noodle soup and loves it. You can tell there's care and consideration taken into presentation of the pho and other dishes prepared unlike other Vietnamese restaurants because it alway come's out photo ready and fatilicious. Try the chicken wings, they're finger lick'n amazing! read more

I give them 3 stars because it's alright. Not bad, not great: just alright. It's hard not to compare this place to Kevin's because I always go to Kevin's but my boyfriend and our friends wanted to try this new place out since it just opened. It was empty when we came in and we already knew what I wanted, except for me. I'm glad that they have banh mi ! All the boys ordered their pho and I ordered a bbq pork banh mi. My boyfriend ordered their meatball pho and it was good. My banh mi, idk what it was but the meat kind of looked like corned beef in a way? Like it wasn't cooked all the way, or just wasn't put on a grill. I didn't like it :( I wouldn't mind coming back. :) read more

Slim pickings when it comes to food options in Concord. I get a 45 min. lunch break and this is the closest Pho spot from my work. It's small, about 10 tables, but clean. Fast service. Sit down. Water is served. Waiter is ready to take your order. Two mins later, hot bowl of Pho. Super friendly staff and I always end up talking with the owner about random things like fruit. There's a 10 dollar min. if you pay with card. Bowl of Pho is about 8 bucks! I never carry cash so I end up having to buy a bottle of Fanta to go. read more

I came here on a warm Thursday afternoon for lunch. The food came out insanely fast. I ordered the vegetarian/tofu pho with chicken broth. The broth was pretty tasty, but I felt like there were not that many ingredients in the pho. Also, the restaurant seems a little run down-- e.g. the chair seats were ripped. However the waiter was friendly, and it's definitely a nice place to go for a quick and inexpensive lunch. read more

Great Vietnamese and they even have graphics blocking out the windows so you don't have to see all the riff-raff outside! My favorite here are the banh-mi's - I usually go with beef or chicken, but the pork is great too. Fresh ingredients and they are always willing to acquiesce my requests for extra jalapenos. I'm from New Mexico ok? I have a high tolerance for spicy foods. Never tried the Pho because I just don't like soup in general. I make some good homemade soups, but that's really the only time I like warm liquids running down my throat. (Well, the only time I'm willing to share here!! RANDY.) Spring rolls are also the bomb - I am a sucker for anything with peanut butter or peanut sauce, so I shove my rolls in that goop deep. Staff is always really friendly, the prices are VERY reasonable. Highly recommend! read more

I'm thrilled to have just discovered this place. I usually drive all the way to Oakland for good Vietnamese food. I no longer have to, Hello Pho ticks all of the boxes. Had a fabulous Banh Mi grilled pork sandwich and brought home a large pho custom made with only veggies and won tons. I could eat that every day. It's a no-frills gem! read more

Preface: I give it 5 stars because it IS "as good as it gets" for the area! *Spring rolls are made fresh, and are delicious *Veggie Pho has big chunks of cauliflower, cabbage, carrots, broccoli, celery, and chunks of yummy fried tofu. All veggies are cooked to a perfect texture, and it's MSG free! *Vermicelli is good and clean... though I like a bit more mint and basil in mine! *Pho is generally good (though my husband wanted thicker tendon in his) Bottom Line: Great place to catch a quick meal, and priced reasonably. read more

I had the number 16 extra large and it was humongous and delicious. It definitely ranks right up there with the best Pho I have ever had. The best thing about this place is that the service was friendly and the place looks really clean and hygienic. I asked them to go easy on the noodles since I didn't want to waste food and they actually remember and gave me a normal amount of noodles so that I was able to finish the entire bowl without busting my gut!:-) I also shared the table with a really nice UC Santa Cruz grad doing Med School application, I gave her my biz card in case she stops by Shanghai. It just goes to show you that good places have good customers too. read more

There is a lot of parking since it is in the Safeway shopping center in Downton PH. We were sat right away and looking at the menu, a lot of the dishes felt more modern than traditional (when I compare it to other Vietnamese restaurants I go to). Decided to go with my comfort dish, which is Grilled Pork Rice Plate. Grilled Pork Rice Plate: I opted for brown rice for a healthier approach. The pork was cooked perfectly and seasoned well. It was also not dry and had a good amount of flavor to it. It sat on a bed of lettuce, which gave it a nice presentation. Overall, a simple dish which I thoroughly enjoyed and had leftovers after. I had a great time eating lunch with my parents and my partner. I look forward to coming here again.

There was a time where I wanted a certain combo without the meatballs and requested they added more of their tendon and tripe instead, but it seems they just took out the meatballs since there were just a couple pieces of tendon in there. The noodles really cooked within the broth. It was interesting since the broth didn't feel too hot as I was able to eat / drink it right away, but the noodles ended up much softer than I'd like. The soup wasn't super flavorful, even after I included the hoisin, basil, sprouts, and lime. It mostly had that fatty taste in the broth which turned me off to it. I know way better places that I would drive to in Berkeley for better pho but it was a decent meal for the cold weather. They also forgot to give us chopsticks and napkins in the pick-up bag. Luckily, I had some spares that I keep around the office so we enjoyed our meal the traditional way nonetheless.

The X-Large pho ($8.50) came in bowl big enough to bathe a small dog in. The basil, cilantro, jalapenos, sprouts, and lime were all very fresh (no wilting or rotting leaves) and not soaking wet like a lot of places. The sprouts were well cleaned without roots (I'm talking to you Golden Star). The broth was flavorful and not watered down. It passed my TLAM msg test (thirst level after meal), indicating that there was very little to no msg. Good variety of beef and other naughty bits like tripe and tendon. Now to the magnum opus, The Hello Wings ($6.50 for 6). Notice that it's capitalized because these wings have earned my utmost respect. They are split at the shoulder (aka drummette), so in essence you're getting about 12 pieces of chicken. The radius and ulna of the wing are split from the elbow, so you don't need to tongue out that last morsel of meat that's trapped between the two bones. That is customer care at its finest. The minced garlic they were covered in was slightly sweet and not pungent and the overall flavor of the wing was delicate and balanced; not too sweet and not too salty. The meat was moist and well marinated while the bones and cartilage were fried to a crisp and tasty to gnaw on. Alternating each wing with a bite of the pickled vegetables they came with provided a refreshing interlude, much like a icy cold shower on a hot summer day. Overall, it was a massive but not violent (and welcomed) attack on the taste buds. Although billed as an appetizer, these wings could easily be the main attraction of this resturant. One order should be a very satisfying portion for the average person. One item of note is that the wings were served in the middle of our pho session, so if your preference is to enjoy the wings before the pho, you might have to inform the waiter ahead of time. The Siracha bottle green tip was clean and the other sauce bottle were well maintained. The chopsticks, sauce dishes, and spoons were clean and not greasy. Service was fast and friendly enough (the waiter/owner greeted us in the parking lot while on his smoke break). The men's room was clean, smelled fresh, and well lit. Toilet was stain-free with the seat up (A+), and no fluids pooling on the floor. As far as Asian restaurant bathrooms are concerned, one could tell this one was cleaned with a sense of pride and workmanship. I even made an extra effort to leave it in the same condition it was found in. With so many Vietnamese resturants in the area, this place has stepped up to claim the seat of the dragonhead. read more
