Absolutely fabulous food and service. It takes a minute for the food to arrive but it's all made from scratch. I enjoyed a couple of virgin Bloody Marys. The pastrami was a little dry but delicious. They immediately replaced over cooked eggs with over easy. This was my second time and will definitely visit again if in St Louis:) read more

Love Hatch'd I always forget to take pictures. All the staff are friendly and attentive. Don't be surprised when the owner comes to your table and asks how things are. Eggs and pancakes that are delicious , some of the best I've ever eaten. Even though it's rather loud , you are still able to hold a conversation with everyone at your table. I recommend that you join the wait list as they are really busy on the weekends. I highly recommend that you stop by here for breakfast, you will leave full and happy! read more

Food was excellent. I got the pork belly eggs Benedict and my wife got biscuits and gravy. Highly recommend the Benny. Cool atmosphere, exposed brick interior, loud but filled with energy. Only complaint is the wait, which I do not think is normal. The staff acknowledged the issue and applied a discount along with a free pancake. I was going to knock a star off for the wait, but the staff's proactive approach to dealing with the problem made me update it back to 5/5. Check out Hatch'd if you're in the area! read more

Had the best experience here. The service and food were both great. I ordered the Mary moon and it was delicious. The best part of the meal were the hashbrowns. Everything was so great! Jackson was the host, he was as a young guy and very personable. Great person to have at the front greeting customers. Kim was our server and she was amazing! We spent a lot of time talking and getting to know her. She was very attentive and just overall someone that you'd want to have representing your brand. We even got to talk to the owner Paul and his son Joshua, they took the time out of their morning to talk to us. The food was good too! We all got something different and shared a lot. The chicken on the chicken and waffles was really good and the gravy was how my mom made it growing up. The place was well lit and not too noisy, perfect atmosphere for a breakfast place. D, De'Angelo, was our server, Joshua the owner, came out to greet us because he was just personable! Yes! The lemon drizzle pancake, perfectamoondoas were all of our meals. The restaurant was busy, full but very accommodating. The ambiance was refreshing. We will return read more

If you want good food at a great price, with a friendly smile go to the hatch'd you will be happy and full when you leave. Me and my husband went on a Friday morning to give it a try. We had maybe a 5 minute wait and then we were seated and asked if we had been there before. We told them it's our first time. The waitress took her time to explain tge food and her recommendations. I had the early bird special and it filled me just fine. The eggs are so full and fluffy and had tge best flavor ive ever had. The bacon was nice big thick slices and I asked for mine wimy and it came out wimpy. So.its good to know they listen to your order and get it right. The pancakes were like eating a special cakes made just fir me. They kept our drinks refilled and made sure if we needed anything without being a bother while doing it. On top of the great food the prices are very reasonable and you don't break the bank when eating there. It's about the same price it would cost uou to go through McDonald's drive thru for breakfast as to eat atbtge Hatch'd and a heck of a nicer place. I give this restaurant two thumbs up and definitely be back again. Give them a try you be very happy you did. One note: parking is a little crazy just be patient you will find a place on the side street or park across the street in QT parking lot. Enjoy!!!!!!! read more

We love Hatch'd because the food is so good. The staff is also nice, but we mainly care about the food. It's a very popular place, probably because of the delicious food, but maybe other people like it because of the friendly staff. I'm not sure because I can't speak for other people, and I'm not a mind reader, but both are true (great food & staff). My main point here though, is that the food is very yummy. The staff is nice, but personally I don't care as much about that. If you're going to go during peak hours, expect a wait, but you can check in ahead of time on the Yelp app. But don't tell anyone about that, because I don't want too many people to be ahead of me in line. It'll be our little secret. You can tell people about how good the food is, because even though it'll make it busier, I want more people to get to try their food. Plus, I know the secret hack of checking in online via Yelp (keep that part on the DL plz). read more

I would recommend Hatch'd to anyone who lives in STL or someone who is visiting, and wants an amazing spot! My 1st time was with my Mom when she was in town from FL, my 2nd was with my 12 month old for her 1st Birthday! Both times food and service was an easy 10/10 plus they gave us a free chocolate chip pancake for the Birthday Girl! I've had the French Toast, and Chicken and Waffle's so far. I will try something new each time I go, and can't wait to make it back as it's not far from my home! read more

I definitely wanted to love this place more than I did. We came on a random Wednesday morning, but yet there was still a minor wait. We were strongly encouraged to sit at the bar, to the point that we didn't feel like we had much choice, but then we were ignored until I had to ask for assistance. This made for a bartender who was visibly less friendly to us than the other patrons. I still feel uncomfortable about that experience. The food was a mixed bag. I ordered a side of grits, and I was unprepared for them to be cheesy grits. They actually tasted more like they were prepared with sour cream. The waffle was excellent, though. I think we may have just come on an off day, and that is ok. I would probably give it another chance, although without the grits. read more

First things first, the food is excellent and the staff are amazing. Hatch'd is in Southern St. Louis and stands head and should above most breakfast restaurants in the area. The building itself is comfortable and has a unique, old-timey atmosphere. We got the Bennie's Got Back and Blueberry Pancake, which were both very good. One of the only negative is how hard it can be to get in (likely because people just love it that much.) We have been quoted 2 hour wait times at one point. We later came much earlier though and were seated without any issue. After trying it, it is clearly fantastic. I personally wouldn't wait two hours for it, but it is definitely an excellent weekend treat after a hard week. read more

Everything about Hatch'd is amazing. Josh and his staff have this place running smooth! Food's always delicious . Service is top notch!

Always a line on the weekend. But deffinately worth the wait! Best brunch in Princeton heights!

Small little spot on the corner very limited parking since this place is always packed but also definitely worth the wait. We got seated quickly and our waitress got us drinks right away and gave us a bunch of recommendations from the drinks to food. We got their iced coffee and it was real good! The service was great our server was very friendly and on point with getting things out in a timely manner even though the place was packed. Our food came out looking amazing and smelling good. The owner approached us told us a little bit about the place since it was our first time being there very friendly just made us feel welcomed. This place gave me a very homey vibe which I loved. Will definitely be returning to try out some other entrées that caught my eye. read more

I've eaten here about a dozen times this past year. I order something new each time, and I'm never disappointed. The tacos on Taco Tuesdays are delicious. The hash browns and grits are the perfect sides to anything. The bartenders know how to make a great cocktail. Service is always friendly and attentive, and the owner even gave me a free pancake just because. This is by far my favorite brunch spot in STL. read more

Food is always amazing . Breakfast or Pastrami sandwich - it's a hard choice. It's all good. Josh is always hands on and very attentive .

I love this little neighborhood gem! It had a cute and cozy atmosphere to sit and enjoy breakfast. Whether you're alone or catching up with friends this is my go-to breakfast joint. Even better, they have a fabulous gluten free menu. You cannot tell that it's even gluten free! I always find myself returning here. It gets busy weekends so be sure to get yourself on the waitlist online before you head out! read more

Amazing food ! And service and friendly faces and good vibes. Alot of energy on a Tuesday !

Brunch St. Louis! Hatch'd is a really nice breakfast and lunch spot in the Princeton Heights neighborhood. It's located at the busy corner of Qunicy and Gravois, so parking can be can be a task. We made reservations and were seated almost immediately when we arrived. The restaurant is cozy with a lot of charm. You're greeted by the full bar first, and then the dining room is the next room. Waitress was friendly and provided recs. I had the omelet with hashbrowns and wheat toast. For a drink, I chose Gringo in Paris. Really good. Overall, the experience was solid. read more

Intriguing mix of "everyday" breakfast food that you'd get at a typical restaurant along with things like pastrami hash, eclectic skillets, and a wide range of omelets. Friendly, attentive service. Small place; fills up easily. About a dozen tables and also bar seating. Yet... always busy - tells you how good it is. Portions are just the right size. Filled us up - but not overly full. Seems to be great with the locals. read more

Hatch'd just keeps getting better! I have been a regular customer since they opened. Their service is excellent and the food is even better. I especially enjoy the Nachostada and the Steak And Eggs. They also make great burgers and club sandwiches. Joshua and his Dad have assembled a great team with Kelly leading them. On My recent visit Bradley M took really good care of me. read more

Food was delicious! I don't know how they make eggs delicious, but they did. And the pancakes were great. Service was good. Nice ambience.

Once soon as you wall in, you can smell the smoke (in a good way they smoke a few of their meats). We were seated quickly and our waitress was friendly and great with answering questions and following up about food allergy needs. FYI - the gluten free pancake isn't dairy free. The food was decent and the bacon was cooked well and not overcooked. There is street parking only. read more

Great team and good food. I have been more than 7 times. The waffles are awesome!!!

Amazing food. Their weekly specials are always a wonderful surprise. Go early as the wait list fills up FAST.

Craving pancakes, I found this place upon a Google search. I called to make sure it wasn't busy and I was greeted warmly by the cook who was very happy that I called and welcoming me to the bar whenever I come in. I parked across the street in a building parking lot that had signs for Hatch'd parking. Hopped across the street and was immediately greeted and sat at the bar. The bartender, Jasmine, was very welcoming and attentive. I asked her about the pancake size and she was like "This big" . I was like...good. The place was pretty relaxing. Had plenty tables and had the feel of a decent bar that someone would be a regular in. I ordered a breakfast plate with a side of brisket. She was right about the pancake, it was almost bigger than the plate. The food was fresh and tasted good. The cook that I was on the phone with came out and we had a brief conversation about the place and a bit of a history lesson on Saint Louis. I def picked a good spot to go to for breakfast. Will recommend for a place to eat and converse with company without all the hustle and bustle. read more

Well...that was disappointing. Having been a regular diner at Hatchd, I was so disappointed to experience a complete meltdown on the owner's part. We waited a bit for our meal and the owner came to our table with our meal. Jeff could immediately see that his burger wasn't as he had ordered it. The owner dropped the plates on the table and immediately turned and walked away. We didn't hear him say that he had dropped some syrup on the floor as he was walking away from us. Jeff was trying to call out to him The owner became angry and a accused Jeff of being rude when it looked like the owner was walking away from us to address something that was more important to us. Rather than apologize and deescalate the situation. The owner became angrier and told us to leave and never some back. In all fairness, Jeff was becoming increasingly angry because of the owner's approach. He did call the owner an idiot which was totally inappropriate. I was trying to get both of them to stop to no avail. The food at Hatchd is amazing and there are some awesome servers there that always acknowledge me when I visit. Sadly, we won't be going back! read more
