Deep Eddy Lemon Vodka with soda

I wanted to try this as it's across the street from a different restaurant that I frequently dine. Walking in, it looks like your typical neighborhood bar. Oldies look and feel with a lot of regulars and locals. We came on a Saturday night around 8:45 and they are open late. It was slow due to the holiday weekend and we were seated right away. Our server was friendly and very helpful. I ordered a vodka and soda which I forgot to order a water with it but she came out with water anyway. Great server as with some, you have to ask for everything. My drink had just the right amount of vodka. The food was pretty good. Fries were crispy but plain. My chicken sandwich was good but plain. I used my husband topping from his burger on my sandwich and it taste better. He said his burger was good. That have a good variety of food for everyone. If we are looking for a spot that's open late, we would come back. This just wouldn't be our first choice. Still worth a try it you are in the area she looking for reasonable priced food.

Chicken wings. There were 12. I forgot to snap pic before ;-)

This is one of our very favorite joints. The service is always great. I love their salads (large enough to feed a family I swear). but tonight went a different route. We split a bacon cheeseburger with fries and an order of hot wings. They were so nice they split the burger for us. Made sure we both had tomato, onion, lettuce and a pickle spear and plenty of fries! Wings were also delicious as usual.

Came here with my husband when we visited St. Louis and we had a pretty good experience. When we walked in, it was pretty busy, so we had high expectations! The place is cute and small inside and everyone working there is super friendly. There was a mix of older adults and young kids working there, and no matter who we came in contact with, they were friendly and helpful. When we were seated by the host, he looked younger than 16. He was nice and asked if we preferred a booth or table and sat us in a booth. Our waitress was an older woman who was also helpful and nice. She checked in on us often, too, and consistently gave us refills on water. The place seemed clean, but our table and menus were sticky, so we asked them to wipe down the table. For dinner, I ordered the taco salad ($15). It included olives, beef, lettuce, tomatoes (which I excluded) and cheese, and came in a shell tortilla bowl, too! It was pretty good but did taste a bit plain and dry. I wish it had a bit more uniqueness to it because it was pretty bland outside of the spicy beef and wasn't anything special. It came with salsa, which helped make it a bit wetter, but it still needed additions like possibly beans, avocado or guac, or cilantro to add more flavor. Again, it wasn't bad, but it could be improved. I probably would order something different if I ever returned. My husband ordered a grilled chicken salad ($14), and he felt that was a bit plain, too. The chicken was seasoned well, but it bland ingredients were in it, such as only tomatoes, eggs, onions, and bacon. He asked for Caesar salad dressing on the side, but it didn't look or taste like it, so he asked our waitress, and she claimed it was right. To us, it looked and tasted more like a vinaigrette. Overall, it was a fine dining experience, but compared to all the other great food we ate in St. Louis, this place was just okay. I probably wouldn't go back.

Friendly neighborhood pub. Food is consistently very good. They have lunch and dinner specials every day. Their Saturday night prime rib dinner is outstanding. Good service with adequate number of servers and bus staff.. Clean with sports memorabilia on the walls.

    Steak sandwich is yummy

Kirkwood institution. Great group of people working there. I sat at the bar with a few friends. The bartender is amazing. She tends to an overflowing bar with friendliness, attentiveness, and ease. The food is great and I ate the wings so fast, I didn't take a photo. I'll be back.

One of our favorite places to eat in Kirkwood. Old school family restaurant feel with wood and stained glass. Chicken quesadilla is awesome.

We arrived around 3:45 and the place was busy! There was one open seating area so we grabbed it quickly. We enjoyed hanging out there for a few drinks. It has a dark, moody, comfy feel. I tried to take pictures but it was pretty dark and they didn't turn out well. I had the "Yes We Have One" - it's an espresso martini. It wasn't as sweet as I prefer, but it was good and I had more than one so it couldn't have been too bad! The other three enjoyed their drinks as well. I'd definitely go back and have a few cocktails in a cozy little area!

I ordered the Chicken Club, looking forward to a nice sandwich and (crispy) tater tots. What I got was what can only be described as a chicken burger. Hot, on a bun, grilled chicken breast piece, tomato, lettuce, bacon, mayo, no middle piece of bread. What I absolutely hate about these hot sandwiches and burgers is that they are relatively wet so the bottom piece of bun always gets soggy. At times when I get a hot sandwich (patty melt for example) I'll ask if it's ok to serve the sandwich on top of the tots/fries to avoid that. My wife got the corner pub burger, ordered medium when the server asked, and her burger ended up well done. Service was good, atmosphere, as usual, nice and comfortable, I just can't get over the chicken burger. I hope this helps others that might have ordered the club.
