Nice place. Good drink selection. Only negative is that they don't have a good menu.

Friendley staff and great dinks! If they served food that would make this bar so much better.

Nice little local divey spot that serves you drinks. Not complicated but a little too much smoke for me.

Best bar in soco! Lots of games, friendly bartenders, no food but welcome to bring some in!

Crappy service, waited for 10 minutes at our table before walking out. Place reeks of cigarette smoke.

A casual vibe, great place for beer and a group happy hour…read more Every time I come here I am amazed at how much fun it is and what a great draft selection they have. Walk in and there are plenty of tables, a couple of gathering areas, standing room narrow tables, an outdoor area, and a room off to the side. I went for the Logboat Dark Matter which I have had before in a can and wanted to try on draft. I enjoyed it very much. You know what is great?! Since they don't have food, you can bring it in yourself. Both times our group has met up here Katie's Pizza is the choice and its in the same parking lot. You can't go wrong with Katie's. Bartender is on the ball and friendly, TV's all around, not too loud so you can talk. Wednesday nights they have Trivia and I stayed for the first round, it was very current for the current event category. Get a pizza from Katie's, go here, have a beer, have fun!

We had 10 and we were able to sit around the long stationary table in the middle of the room. Global Brew Tap House does not charge for the event room. Bartender was friendly and offered to keep a tab. Lots of parking. Loved this place!

It was a good arrangement, and we had plenty of room. Our server was Shannon and she was fabulous! She was attentive, friendly, put up with all of our orders and generally made sure we had what we needed while we were there. I would give her 5 stars on her own, she was great. I ordered the Sugar Plum Fizz, and it looked nice enough, but it really just tasted like seltzer and not much else. I didn't drink it after the first two drinks. For food, I got a cup of chili and a half Italian salad. I asked for no cheese on the salad. The chili was ok, I ate it and the salad, but both were just ehh. It was a group get together and we had fun and the service was superb!

It filled a pizza box and was a salty, delicious dough! The accompanying cheese sauce was a tasty ro-tel. The chop salad had big chunks of blue cheese and was a generous size. Toasted raviolis had a really nice marinara sauce. For our main dishes we had the Swiss burger - loaded with mushrooms and all the fixings. Perfectly cooked to order. The chili Mac was also great. Overall, this little spot did not disappoint!

We recently came here for the second time and met some friends for dinner. It was their first time…read moreeating at the Twisted Tavern. Everything our group ordered was delicious! What really stood out to me was the service we received! I really appreciated not being rushed through our meal. The fact that they actually let you order your courses separately so they're not coming out on top of each other was refreshing. And even though it was a Friday night and there were others waiting to get in we weren't rushed to pay our bill but instead invited to take our time. We hadn't seen or heard much about their pizzas, but we were in the mood for one and decided to order the meat pizza. It was made in a brick oven and it was really tasty. Honestly there were so many toppings that we ended up asking for an extra cup of the marinara sauce to dip it in. The sauce is made in house, it was delicious and the waitress said it's the same one that's used with the spaghetti and meatballs. In regard to the pizza size even though they're considered personal pizzas it was definitely bigger than we were anticipating. I would say they're close to 11 to 12 inches in diameter. My husband and I each enjoyed two pieces with our salad and took the other half home with us. They are definitely big enough to share, especially if you're ordering an appetizer or a salad to go with it. Our group very much enjoyed the artichoke spinach dip. It came with bread that had been cooked in their brick oven and I love that the spinach was in bigger pieces. My husband, and I also shared the harvest salad which had butternut squash on it, candied pecans & goat cheese. It was really yummy. Others in our group enjoyed the salmon and the crispy chicken sandwich. I had recently seen on a local Jefferson County page that many people consider Twisted Tavern the best place for a good piece of cake specifically, their wedding cake . Truth is that was the primary reason why I suggested this restaurant to meet our friends at but sadly by the time we finished our meal and were ready to order dessert they had already sold out. We were told this does not usually happen. Overall, we found tasty fresh food made in house, great service and fair prices. I am already planning another visit to the Twisted Tavern (so I can try their wedding cake! ).

We ordered apps. Spinach dip, onion rings, fried pickles, Brussel sprouts, and aside of spaghetti. The brussels sprouts were nicely fried, a little greasy. The fried pickles were lightly breaded, but very salty. The side of spaghetti was large enough to be a full serving. Wasn't overly impressed with the food, but the service here was top-notch.

Beer selections were very limited unless all you wanted were AB products. I asked for various common decent whiskeys, scotch and popular craft beers and struck out on all. Finally asked for captain and coke and told the soda system was broken. This is I got nice ice water. Ordered garlic parm pretzel bites. They dumped so much table salt on them that they were white color. We even tried to wipe them off and it was impossible to eat. We then tried party ryes. They must have been out of party rye because we got two pieces of marble rye cut in 1/4 with the topping on them. Tasted good but don't say on your menu that it's on party rye bread. My recommendation is fire the kitchen manager and invest a few bucks on a decent liquor selection. All in all the quality is that of a lower level south city tavern struggling to keep the doors open rather than an Oakville " pub".
