Xiao long bao soup dumplings

A clean, friendly, and delicious experience. We came for the crab but stayed for the green beans. On a sleepy Thursday night we had no trouble getting seated right on the window with a perfect albeit smoky view of the Olympics at sunset. The staff is even more friendly than anticipated and Ester, our waitress, made the astute recommendation of the green beans which defined our evening. Never thought two people could eat that many beans but we crushed it Parking: there is a large lot out front with many available spots and we had no issue. Atmosphere: you enter seeing the beautiful water but it is slightly confusing on where to enter the restaurant. Go up to the stairs if you're able and walk through the first set of double doors, and you'll maze your way down to the hostess. The space feels open and warm with great views. It also seems extremely clean for a place where you smash crab legs. Menu: The first half of the menu has traditional Chinese dishes that rival Din Tai Fung. That includes the green beans which have a more flavorful and meaty texture but totally scratch the itch of a great flash fried bean. The xiao long bao looked perfect and tasted great. Small but proportionate dough thickness. The other half of the menu feels like you're traditional Cajun boil. As a patron of many a boil, their offerings aligned with anything you'd expect, but they do have a "make your own" which allowed us great freedom in our boil. We got two dungee clusters, scallops, and sausage. The dungee cluster (half of a crab) was plentiful and meaty. The scallops were larger than expected and delicious. The sausage was scattered in every nook and cranny. The typical potatoes and corn were of course included. Overall the meal was wonderful and while it felt a little strange to have the Asian Cajun fusion, it worked. Prices- if you build your own, I'd say the prices are totally reasonable for the quality and quantity. Overall a wonderful experience and we can't wait to return!

Brunch Buffet

This review is for the brunch buffet only since I've never been here for the regular menu. With the price of $99, this place feels like it's trying to compete with Seattle's other premier seafood buffet at Salty's. Unfortunately, it doesn't quite hit the same bar. I think it's because the buffet was recently added in the past month, but all of the servers seemed confused. The service was slow and the tables were small (we sat outdoors), so there was no room to fit stuff. Some of the dishes in the buffet are made to order, but it was not well coordinated and all the dishes came out at once so there was no where to put them. As far as the food goes, most of it was average but the crab was really good. I liked how there were options with both cold dungeness crab and warm snow crab. The crab scissors made eating them really easy and they tasted fresh. They also had their different crab boil sauces like the Cajun sauce, but I found them too salty. If I came back, I would just hunker down like an Asian uncle and eat crab the entire time with clarified butter. The steak and seared fish to order wasn't good. The steak was tough and unseasoned and the fish was dry and overcooked. The spicy wontons and the Biang Biang noodles though were surprisingly pretty good and I would order those again. I also liked the premade boba tea that occasionally came out, but it didn't come out often enough and ran out quickly. Overall, I would maybe try this place again after a couple of months and hopefully all of the kinks will be ironed out by then.

GREAT SEAFOOD BOIL WITH GREAT VIEWS! I had the basics seafood boil combo during happy hour and it was only around $20! It came with mussels, shrimp, sausages, potatoes and corn. The sausages were salty and it came with a lot, so I definitely did not finish it. The sauce was so good though. I had their garlic butter and the taste was delicious and flavorful. The shrimp was cook well and I loved the mussels as well. It didn't taste too fishy. The service was good! The servers were nice and helpful and the food didn't take long to make. The ambiance is amazing! Plenty of seating indoors AND outdoors where you can clearly see the beautiful water! I'd definitely come back here!

Amazing, amazing view! I think that's one of the main highlights of this restaurant. Especially during sunset, the atmosphere feels so relaxing and peaceful. I highly recommend sitting outside if they have available tables, not only for the view but also because the AC inside is extremely strong. We asked if they could adjust the temperature, but they said they couldn't since it controls the whole restaurant. They didn't give a very specific reason, so I'm not sure if they actually knew how to adjust it. Either way, bring a hoodie if you plan to sit indoors. We came here because we wanted to try Cajun seafood boil with Asian influences. Washington Mussels & Clams Combo -- served with toasted baguette and white wine garlic butter. There was very little garlic flavor, and honestly, we all thought it tasted a bit bland. The seafood didn't seem super fresh either, and overall it wasn't worth the price. Mermaid Platter (served with 5 corns and 5 potatoes) -- includes 2 snow crab clusters, 1 lb head-on shrimp, 1 lb green mussels, 1 lb crawfish, and 1 lb sausage. The sausage was very tasty and well-seasoned. Unlike the typical seafood boil served in a bag, this one came in a pan. In my opinion, it looked prettier served this way, but the seasoning wasn't mixed evenly. Some parts were bland while other parts were delicious. The shrimp were large, but unfortunately overcooked. We also added the bang bang noodles to the Mermaid Platter. The sauce wasn't mixed very evenly either, so make sure to dip into the extra sauce at the bottom before eating. Also, if you order it, try to eat it while it's still hot. Once it gets cold, the noodles become hard and chewy.

I went to Happy Crab for a girl's night out and then two other times with my partner. First of all, the views of the Sound are amazing! Their outdoor patio is a perfect place to enjoy a seafood dinner while you watch the sunset! Happy Crab offers a variety of fresh seafood; lobster, shrimp, scallops, mussels, crawfish and crab legs in different sauces ranging from mild to spicy. Their Happy Hour menu includes most of their regular menu items at a Happy Hour rate. For appetizers we had their coconut shrimp and sweet potato fries. The shrimp was crunchy and fresh and it tasted great with the dipping sauce. Plenty of food for two! For main dishes I built my own bowl with a 1/2 pound of scallops, fresh Biang Biang noodles with Cajun sauce and mild spice level. The scallops were cooked perfectly. The sauce and spices added a lot of flavor to the scallops. The noodles added an extra texture to the dish and complimented the scallops. There was so much food that I took the rest of it home! My partner ate my leftovers for lunch the next day. He loved it so much that he wanted to go. We ordered the same scalloped dish, and ordered the Seafood Combo Special "A, The Basics". There was so much food that we had leftovers! They have a full bar as well as nonalcoholic drinks. The last time we dined there the outdoor patio was open for Happy Hour and there were diners eating outside. The staff is very courteous and attentive. They refilled our water glass throughout the evening and checked with us to see if we needed anything. We plan to return in the summer to have dinner in their outdoor patio.

It was great!! Dropped in to check it out during Happy Hour to gauge for future, large party, family dinner event. Location is remarkable and very familiar (the old Anthony's spot). Happy Hour menu is the way to go. Tried the Basic. Super Good!! Price was just right. My server August was friendly, efficient and very informative about the longer menu. This will be Happy Crab's first full summer. Lots of seating outside. Chill vibe. Looking forward to hearing the piano player. We will be back. (The recent bad ratings here are humorous).

The location of the restaurant is so close to Golden Garden Park. The views that they have are so beautiful! The restaurant is so spacious, with dining inside and outside. Lots of parking in front of the restaurant. The service here was good. Many people working and they all were so nice and made the experience better. For the food we ordered: Seafood Combo A. The Basics. I'm not a big fan of the seafood boil here. The flavors weren't there for me. I do not think I would want to order this again. Dungeness Crab Cake. I enjoyed eating this! It had a hint of sweetness to it and it was flaky. (Dungeness crab is so good!) Biang Biang Noodles. I would definitely order this dish again! The sauce in the noodles is amazingly good! Salty, sweet and savory. We also ordered the chicken fried rice, but I forgot to take picture before everyone started eating it. But I don't really have much to say, but other than less salty from others I've had before? But it was still good. I would want to come back and try their brunch they offer on the weekend.

Amazing views, food, and service. Highly recommend the happy hour! I would say for the price point it is extremely hard to beat!

We sat outside with our dog, overlooking the Sound. Great view, great service. Overall the fish and seafood was great. We really enjoyed the clam chowder, the cod fish and chips. The fish was super fresh and tender. Loved it. The xiao long bao was not great. The crab meat was nice but the skin was a bit thick. Felt like a frozen soup dumpling.

Amazing view! Great happy hour value for what we ordered. The server we had was super friendly Will come back again

You're paying for the atmosphere, and nice service. Genuine compliments to the team putting in nice effort, but I just can't recommend choosing this spot. Seattle surrounding areas offers many other options for (in my opinion) better quality seafood, flavor, and options. The atmosphere is nice, and the menu was clear- but the quality and portion of food felt, underwhelming, and un-refined. Small icks like I had to ask for a cleaner spoon. Was told they don't have any sauce that comes with oysters, and they boast about the noodles, but are mushy and nothing special. Sorry, had higher hopes. Bubble tea drinks are mediocre.

We got custom boils with dungeness and snow crab, green mussels, sausage, and a noodle. Potatoes and corn are complimentary. They forgot to add a few items initially but more than made up for it by giving us large quantities of what was missing. The noodle was perfectly chewy and bouncy, the crab was flavorful (I think the dungeness was better than snow) and the mussels were meaty and delicious. Our sauce was a little salty but still really good with all the food. Would go again!

The food was very disappointing (steamed clams) boring! Plus ordered garlic bread for $5.00 and it was a joke.

The Chinese name, 全記麵家, has little to do with the name Mike, but is nevertheless an excellent choice for anyone in the area. The staff is very Cantonese through and through. It is a cash only establishment and their menu is heavy on the noodles, be it in soup form or dry. There isn't a ton of room for large groups, but the turnover is quick and thus the weights are usually quite minimal. Service is very good overall and super friendly. I would highly not recommend using their bathroom, as it's tiny, cramped, and not in the best condition. The noodle soups vary from wonton noodles to fishballs. They also specialize in beef brisket and fishballs, making this feel like a bit of a Hong Kong style cafe. Most of the soups average out to be $14-16, depending on size. It's a joy to watch them assemble the bowls in lightning quick fashion. Wontons are excellent. They're plump with just enough skin for texture and are complemented by a fragrant soup and very little skimpage on the noodle (#1). The large dumpling (aka "sui kau") is an excellent wonton alternative for those looking for similar textures. The beef brisket is tender and they also have a dedicated section for just congee. There aren't a lot of places like Mike's anymore, and I wouldn't hesitate for a second for an opportunity to come back. In fact, I'll make sure it's part of the Seattle rotation (#2) for whenever I'm back. __________ (#1) Read: very good portions. (#2) Unless of course, I'm on my way to Vancouver BC.

Good noodles, good chashu, and delicious broth on their "Original" ramen (which is pretty much Tonkotsu, I think). It's lacking in nothing. I also appreciate the way they structure the menu: most toppings are optional (like egg and seaweed) in exchange for a modest base price. Yet even when you add stuff back in, the sum is still reasonable, e.g. with added seaweed and a shot of extra noodles, my bowl came out right around $20 after tax/tip. Service is quick and courteous. This place has only one problem: the wait is damn eternal. I waited 50+ minutes, and the only reason I got in that _fast_ was because I came solo and qualified for counter seating. The couple ahead of me in line waited at least 90... and this was on a Monday! But that's hardly the restaurant's fault.

We got the preserved meat clay pot rice, salt and pepper fried fish filet, and beef brisket and wonton noodle soup. The clay pot rice was okay - the pricing is fair but the execution could be a bit better. I felt like the rice was a bit lacking in flavor, and they only have the standard soy sauce, not the ones in a sauce tray that is usually a bit sweeter. The salt and pepper fried fish filet was good - definitely recommend that for the taste and value. The noodle soup was also good - the wontons were okay but I loved the beef brisket. This place is a true gem, serving satisfying, delicious food in a relaxed atmosphere at an affordable price. The restaurant looks small from the front, but space is used efficiently and they manage to fit quite a bit of seating into not that large of a dining room. Tables are mostly four tops, quite spacious at that, and surrounded by sturdy wooden chairs. I came for dinner on a Friday evening and there were a few other tables at any given time. Service was quick and our water never ran empty. We had the wontons in hot oil, topped with peanuts, I had the beef chow fun, and my dinner buddy had the pork with hot sauce noodles. The wontons are very very good, stuffed with flavorful pork and swimming in a sauce that sits in that perfect spot at the intersection of hot and sour. The peanuts and scallions add a delightful crunch. Their beef chow fun satisfies every bit of childhood nostalgia I have for this dish, with lots of wok hei, bouncy noodles, and the most tender of beef. I think my favorite beef chow fun in the city still lives at A+ Hong Kong Kitchen, but this is a close second. The portion here is also huge. I am a human vacuum and I actually brought leftovers home, which is rare for me. The pork with hot sauce noodles is seemingly a fusion of zha jiang mian and dan dan noodles. My friend really enjoyed it and actually finished the whole thing, which is saying something given that she doesn't usually eat that much. There are so many other items on the menu that I'm eager to try, so I will definitely be back.
