    Beef honey comb (intestine)
    Nehal A.

We came to this restaurant early in the morning, around 10:30am, for some dim sum brunch. Even though the whole chinatown was sleeping, this place had several guests dining in. The interior seemed recently renovated, looked nice, but the entrance and some parts of the place was messy. They do not push carts, all dim sum dishes come straight from the kitchen. They had about 40 dim sum items on the menu. Prices were decent for each plate. We were able to scan QR code order the items we wanted. We got the shrimp dumplings, radish cake, shrimp rice roll, beef honey comb, sesame ball and egg tar. All items were brought out to table in short time. All the items had legit taste. My favorite was the beef honey comb (intestine), probably the best tasting one I ever had. The service was fine, as it's usually is in C-town restaurants. Staff members brought water/tea and removed empty plates while running around doing other things. Though it wasn't the full dim sum experience (no push carts), we were content with the food.

Our family has been coming here for decades. This place has the best spring roll in town. Service is quick and owner is so friendly.

Jade Garden is located inside Seattle Chinatown. Small-medium size dining area. Live tanks at the front. The staff let my kid climb up the ladder to see crabs and lobsters. It's order to make style. The staff were nice, confirming with us regarding orders. The food was good. Fully stuffed prawns in the dumplings, radish cakes had crispy skin and soft inside, Chinese dough rice roll was flavorful with the sauce. It's a good dimsum spot with quick service.

Haven't been in awhile. 3 of us had dim sum in the afternoon around 1PM on a Saturday. We ate ~$71. Credit card charge of 3% is a bit annoying. Harbor city was gone, so we opted to go for Jade Garden. Slight refresh inside for seating since I last remembered dining there. Food was good. Cheaper pricing than bay area. Street parking only.

Very traditional Chinese restaurant that love by Chinese or American. It is heart and soul for the China town. The restaurant has limited table. But you should be able to find a table due to food delivered to table very fast. Turn around also fast. We have the jade tofu - soft tofu. This dish comes with three different mushrooms. I recommend this dish. We also got BBQ pork pastry. This one of my son favorite. It is good. The last dish we have is the beef chow fun. I like this dish due higher BTU wok dish. It was perfectly done. Overall we have a good meal. Good service.

    Egg tarts (very small)

3.5 stars. Most dishes are what you expect, but then the egg tarts are very small. We didnt get anything that was stand-out good. Rice rolls were a bit mushy, salted egg yolk was grainy, and egg tarts had very little filling due to their size. Beef stir-fry and vegetables were fine. Prices were about $18 per dish. It seems that this place may be more popular with non-Chinese crowds for dinner, as looking around, the fried rice portions were huge seemed popular. Not sure if I'd come back. Coming from the bay, I'd want larger portions for this quality and size. Maybe more dim sum dishes would have been better.

Shrimp rice noodle rolls (there's a fly at the bottom of the plate)
    Alea A.

Not for me. There was a fly underneath our shrimp rice noodle rolls which made me feel queasy knowing I had already ate a few from the plate. There were also flies buzzing around the dining area. The wonton noodle soup lacked flavor and just tasted like white pepper. The siu mai and har gao were mushy and sad. The bbq pork bun was probably the most innocent thing. The waiter subtracted the rice rolls from our bill when I pointed out the fly but the total was still very expensive for dim sum of that quality. Wanted to love but it was unfortunately a very unpleasant experience for us. Next time I'm in the area I'll stick to Dim Sum King.

I used to come here a lot when I worked downtown but haven't been in a few years. I feel like the quality has really improved! You order from a qr menu and can order dim sum and/or things off the regular menu, plus they have white board specials. Still about a 30 min wait for 3 at 2 pm on a Sat afternoon!! We decided to come because we took the new light rail from the east side, then walked a few blocks up to the restaurant. Everything was delish, fresh, and hot. They also stopped by with skme trays of things too. I miss the carts but this is convenient. Standard dim sum fare - no exotics like jellyfish, xiao long bao, or sugarcane shrimp. Still solid and fast once you are seated!

This was hard. Came here because Jade is known as the oldest Chinese restaurant in Seattle, and I've heard Bruce Lee used to eat here -- which is pretty cool. The service was excellent. Our server was friendly and attentive. Unfortunately, the food was just okay, especially for the price. Some dishes were bland and chewy -- not bad, just underwhelming. Things went downhill when my son found a piece of hair in his soup. We tried to brush it off, but a few minutes later we noticed a bug (about penny-sized) on my daughter's hair. That was the breaking point. I also used the men's restroom and it was dirty and unpleasant. Despite everything, my wife still tipped the server 18% because the service itself was good. We won't be returning. The front door sign shows an "Excellent" cleanliness rating, which didn't match our experience. Rating: 2-3 stars

Had a good time eating here with friends on a Thursday night around 7 pm in Seattle's chinatown! Easy to find parking in chinatown. We were a party of 3 and we were sat immediately since it wasn't at all busy. A lot of older/senior people already dining and enjoying their foods. It's a beautiful interior that's spacious and will do well for larger groups or bigger celebrations. They don't have the traditional dim sum carts :( Anyways, we orders several dishes from their dim sum and dinner menu. The har gao, chicken feet, and shrimp rice roll were classically done and delicious. The fried rice was awesome since it had so much flavor and some crunch in it from added rice puffs. The hot and sour soup was tasted as expected. The main course was the Peking duck! Lots of duck meat with baos and wraps. Classic toppings but with shredded cantaloupe that added sweetness and freshness with the duck. Overall, great experience!

In Seattle's Chinatown....this place is a pretty solid choice. And it sure was a busy place on this day. Dumpling soup: Very good rendition. Duck: Pretty solid crispy duck version. Mongolian/stir fry beef: Very good and and a good sauce. Red dipping sauce: Never had a sauce quite like this, but it's darn good. Has a decent kick, but the flavor was great! Steamed dumpling: It's ok but not the best. Potstickers: Not my favorite at all on this one. Staff can be a bit slow in getting to you or getting the food. But it all comes out hot and fresh....It's again, a great solid choice.

We went the day after Lunar New Year to get Peking duck. The food was good but the vegetables were so expensive that we didn't get them.

Absolutely loved this spot when I visited Seattle. We came on a weekday mid-afternoon and were seated immediately. There was no wait, which was a nice surprise. Just a heads-up: since it's located in Chinatown, parking can be a bit tricky. Most spots are paid ($5/hour), and it took a while to find one. If you go earlier in the day, you might score free street parking. Pro tip: there's a nearby supermarket where you can park and get validated with a purchase. I wish I'd known that sooner! It's only a few blocks' walk. The food was so DELICIOUS. Instead of the traditional cart service with aunties wheeling around dim sum, you order from a photo menu which I personally loved. It makes it easier to get exactly what you want fresh, without waiting or missing a dish from the carts. Every single item we ordered hit the spot. Fresh, flavorful, and well-prepared. The dining room was quiet, but that might've just been the time we went. Service was efficient. If you're in Seattle and craving authentic dim sum, this place should be on your list. I'll definitely be back next time I'm in town.

I had my all time favorite dish at a Hong Kong café cuisine, gon caau ngau ho (乾炒牛河), aka beef chow fun, along with a childhood favorite drink, iced Horlicks. I liked how everything moved at a quick pace here and yet the staff were still friendly. The best part was that no one stopped by to ask how the food was while your mouth was full, because they already knew the food was good. The beef chow fun was just as good as the ones back home. It was savory and full of wok hei (iykyk). The bean sprouts were added at just the right time, so they were still a slightly crunchy. The sliced beef was tender too. If you like adding extra spice, be sure to try the crunchy chili sauce on the table. It was awesome, fragrant, spicy, and full of flavor. Just be careful not to choke on it, I did, and it wasn't fun. I hadn't had Horlicks in twenty years, and the first sip brought back so many memories. Be sure to stir it well and maybe wait until the ice melts a little, otherwise it may be slightly too sweet. My partner is a vegetarian. He looked through the entire menu and said there weren't many things he could order (listen, people, choose your future SO accordingly if you like sharing big meat dishes). He ended up ordering the curry vegetable rice and added a fried egg. He said the curry was delicious. I tried a bite of it and agreed. I think there may have some coconut milk in it because it was rich and creamy. The rice was a little too dry to my liking. Sitting there and listening to the background music from the Hong Kong TV news, I felt like a kid again.

For most people, I feel that we find a Chinese restaurant and if we like it, we commit forever. I haven't had Fortune Garden and felt adventurous, was not disappointed in taste though I'd be interested in comparing value across the shops in Chinatown. They have some nice lunch combos, but sucks that they don't provide soup for takeout. Could substitute with a rice or something! Honey Walnuts Prawns - honey walnut shrimp is such a classic, easily one of my favorites from childhood and still near the top of my list. I don't know if it's the takeout container, but the quantity with respect the box was disappointing. Felt like there was less shrimp and walnuts compared to what I'm used to, but I think I also pay closer to $22-25 for the dish (the one here was $20). This place is a true gem, serving satisfying, delicious food in a relaxed atmosphere at an affordable price. The restaurant looks small from the front, but space is used efficiently and they manage to fit quite a bit of seating into not that large of a dining room. Tables are mostly four tops, quite spacious at that, and surrounded by sturdy wooden chairs. I came for dinner on a Friday evening and there were a few other tables at any given time. Service was quick and our water never ran empty. We had the wontons in hot oil, topped with peanuts, I had the beef chow fun, and my dinner buddy had the pork with hot sauce noodles. The wontons are very very good, stuffed with flavorful pork and swimming in a sauce that sits in that perfect spot at the intersection of hot and sour. The peanuts and scallions add a delightful crunch. Their beef chow fun satisfies every bit of childhood nostalgia I have for this dish, with lots of wok hei, bouncy noodles, and the most tender of beef. I think my favorite beef chow fun in the city still lives at A+ Hong Kong Kitchen, but this is a close second. The portion here is also huge.
