Beef tartare, seaweed pollock roe noodles, Paran Gal-bi
    Selena L.

Came with some friends on a Friday evening. We were communicated that our table was almost ready, they have to clean it, then about 10 mins into waiting we were communicated that again by a different staff member. Seems like communication between staff can be improved on during rushes. We ordered seaweed pollock roe noodles, Paran Gal-bi, and beef tartare. To our surprise, the noodles were spicy when the description on the menu did not state spicy. I loved that the noodles came with a ton of green onions on top, and not overly saucy or wet. The Galbi was tender and flavorful and cut up into bite size pieces. The Galbi came with grilled mushrooms, tomatoes, and a salad on the hot plate. I would suggest the salad to come separately as it got soggy and warm very quickly on the hot plate, as well as oily due to the meat. The tartare was good, though the proportion of the cracker to the tartare was not great - more cracker is needed. The tartare also came with a sauce on the side, which again I would say more sauce is needed for the size of the dish. We were going to get cocktails but were uninterested after seeing that the menu doesn't have any description of what exactly is in each drink. One thing Paran can improve upon on the menu is adding more details so that customers know exactly what they are ordering. Overall, food was flavorful and came out pretty fast. I would come back again and try their other dishes.

So pleasantly surprised with paran, every dish was executed so well! Our party got the galbi, perilla oil noodle, and chili oil tteokbokki which was perfectly shared amongst 4 people. While every dish was a 5/5 the dish that stood out the most was the perilla oil noodle. It was so unique and tasted so good. It had an earthy herbal taste, which I know doesn't sound very convincing but everyone in my group said it was the favorite. The noodles were cooked perfectly and seasoning was well done. The tteokbokki was soft and chewy and again flavor was great. Can't wait to come back and try the other dishes!!

I came here for a date night. The restaurant is intimate and I really liked the design choices they took with the space. The staff were friendly and regularly checked up on us throughout the meal. As for when it comes to food, the portions are quite large and would definitely keep that in mind while you're ordering! Most things are meant to share between 2-3 people. For two people I think just a protein and noodle dish is perfect to share. The appetizers were just fine, I think I'd be okay with not getting any next time. I really enjoyed the mains though and they are truly perfect for sharing! The Galbi was tender and flavorful. I also love any creamy udon so enjoyed that dish (there is a good kick of spice to it). My only suggestion was that our food all came out at the same time and our table was quite small. I wish they had staggered our food coming out a little. This place is fairly new and I think it has great potential. I would definitely want to try this place again and think it would be great place for an after work happy hour or more casual hangout.

Fremont's been getting a lot of traction from foodies lately, and it's going for both old and new places! This slightly newer place is within a very busy intersection on Fremont, not far from the newer Moment Cafe and a slight ways away from the Fremont Troll where I snagged parking like all my other visits to Fremont on a Friday at 5:30pm. It's bright and sunny for this visit, so a ton of natural light shines inside at the front tables and at the waiting area while all other tables for groups of 2-4 are deeper inside. The menu is offered both as physical copies and as a QR code situated near each table. From recommendations, the salmon pollack roe was the dish of choice for this visit. It was oddly spicy; tons of spice flakes were sprinkled on top of the green onions that made up an even bigger portion of the top condiments. I almost thought the seaweed cream sauce was spicy for a second there! Mixing everything together really change things though; salmon roe gave a rich and buttery kind of taste, which complemented the cream sauce. Shrimp was few in number but added more to the seafood-y taste this dish has. I just wish the portion was bigger for the price. Pretty great food so far, and I'd come next time with more people to try their shareables. Keep in mind they add an 18% gratuity service charge on your bill regardless of the size of your party, so expect to pay more than what you see.

So happy to have found this great spot in the heart of Fremont! We walked over from Gas Works Park for a bite to eat and had a really nice experience. We ordered family-style so we could try a variety of dishes, including noodles, richly marinated beef, and some delicious dumplings. Everything tasted fresh, flavorful, and well-balanced. Portions are a bit on the smaller side for the price, but the quality and flavors really stand out. The staff was warm and welcoming, and the food came out quickly, which made the whole experience even better. The menu isn't huge, but it's clear there's a lot of thought behind each dish. The space is on the smaller side, so I'd recommend making a reservation ahead of time. I'd definitely come back to try more.

Girl I didn't even know they only had 15 servings of beef tartare.... Thank god I'm a hungry bi$&@ cuz I got there the second they opened. And the Beef tartare was bussin'- sesame oil forward and beautiful! Paran is cute little tight spot on a busy corner of Fremont. We went there on Fri and it deffo filled up pretty quick after we got seated. The cocktails were delish. The matcha one was earthy with just the right amount of zing. I got the pollack roe udon and my friend got the gochujang udon, and they are both creamy spicy flavorbombs. We stuffed ourselves silly and I would for sure comeback for nice casual evening dinner. I would just say get there early like right at 5 so you don't miss out on the beef tartare and get a table right away.

Great place to get Korean food in Fremont, OK service, the food came out super hot and fresh. They have a great selection of drinks as well as food items that are shareable. Overall, I highly recommend and would come back. Sidenote; there is a 18% gratuity charge automatically added to every single check which is essentially an included tip.

To start, the food was very good. The galbi was so juicy - a must get. This was my favorite! The rose Jjim-dak the chicken was sooo tender. I also think the pollack roe noodle absolutely should be part of the order as well. The location was very convenient as it is right by the bridge and the inside was quite cozy. A good date night spot. The service was good to great in my opinion- I called in and the reservation times got mixed up but because they messed it up they took it on themselves to get us a table when they could. I really appreciate the effort they put in making sure that we were accounted for!

We finally made it to Paran, a new Korean grill in Fremont! We've tried walking in before but it's always packed, so we booked a Sunday 5:30 p.m. reservation (and the restaurant still filled up fast). The menu is straightforward: appetizers, three main grill choices (beef, pork, chicken), and noodle dishes. * Seaweed Noodle: Excellent. The sauce was rich and creamy, with a fantastic umami flavor from the seaweed and roe. * Grilled Beef Rib: Highly recommend this. They conveniently carve the meat off the bone for you, and it comes with plenty of meat and mushrooms. It is served with a side salad that actually stands out--unlike most side salads, this one was incredibly fresh with a bright yuzu dressing. The only minor drawback was that the grilled food was a bit oily overall. However, the space is clean, and the speed of the service is absolutely phenomenal.

Modern Korean food can be hit or miss but Paran gets it right. It still feels comforting and thoughtful, with amazing flavor. Refined without trying too hard or overcomplicating things CHILI OIL TTEOKBOKKI -- as a self-proclaimed tteokbokki connoisseur, this was a real standout for me. It had the illusion of spice without being spicy, and the chili oil in place of gochujang was an unexpected twist that worked so well. The chopped pistachios added such a nice crunch. BEEF TARTARE -- rich and savory, with a soft, silky texture that practically melts in your mouth. The chopped Asian pear added a touch of freshness, and the pistachios brought a nice crunch for contrast. PARAN GAL-BI -- steakhouse-level tender, juicy, and melt-in-your-mouth. The marinade was spot on, bringing out that rich galbi flavor without overpowering the beef itself. And the signature tomato gochujang sauce? Addictive. The citrusy side salad was the perfect fresh, bright balance. Ruby Citrus and MBP were both stiff yet light, and paired really well with the menu. The decor and ambiance reminded me of Korea in the '80s -- an artful nod that felt nostalgic and intentional without feeling dated. They were super busy, but the service was still warm and efficient

Great food and nice atmosphere! The dishes were all tasty although a bit pricy given the portion sizes. We got the seafood pollok roe noodles and the je-euk (stir fried pork). Both dishes were great but I really liked the pork! The marinade and the dipping sauce were very flavorful. Paran is a nice place to check out if you're looking for modern Korean food. Again, the food is good but a bit overpriced for the portions.

Came here on a Saturday afternoon for lunch. We didn't have a reservation but were able to get seated for a party of 2 easily by the windows. The restaurant is small so I definitely recommend getting on the Yelp waitlist early or making a reservation. We had three dishes: seafood noodles, perilla noodles, and the salad. The texture of the noodles was excellent - chewy and evenly cooked. The seafood noodles had a generous amount of shrimp and the sauce was creamy and had crushed seaweed mixed in. It is a bit sweet but I didn't mind that. The perilla noodles were lighter. I liked the dressing on the salad - a creamy sesame.

    Michelle Z.

There was so much hype for this place when I first opened so I knew that I had to check it out. We had a reservation for a Sunday night and it wasn't as packed as I thought. The location is nice as it's in central Fremont and I love the cozy vibe of the place. Now talking about the food, I think it was pretty good but nothing that stands out too much. We got their famous galbi platter and their seaweed pollack udon. I think the galbi was good, but it's super oily. It feels heavy when you eat it even with the salad on the side, it also tends to lean pretty . And for $52 it's not worth the money for the portion. Same thing goes for the udon. I think it was way too expensive for what it is, but the flavors were OK. I like it a lot, but my partner did not like it at all. It was pretty umami. I would like to come back again and try the other dishes as well as their drinks.

Writing this sucks and also I feel like I'm giving a completely honest and fair review of last night (Friday, June 19, 2026) from 7 to 8:30pm ish. Two hairs - one in my kaisen champon, one in my partner's niku udon. A dead bug in the niku udon. A staff member walking the floor actively bleeding from his nose with a napkin stuffed into it. Any one of these on its own would have been a rough night. All three in the same meal is something else ‍ The kitchen is small and open so you can see and hear everything, which meant we also got a front row seat to the chef yelling at his staff multiple times throughout the evening. The team was clearly working hard and seemed genuinely understaffed, but the kitchen felt like it was coming apart at the seams. We were in line to order for about five minutes, during that time we heard the employee at the register say to the man in front of us that there is no more summer special cold udon flight. Bummer, but totally understand. The menus are acrylic boards at the ordering counter, there were two for the two specials and they were left up when we went to order. The employee told me that unfortunately they have run out of the other special (not the flight). She turned around to do something else for a bit, came back, so I ordered the flight and she said they don't have that either. LOL okay!! No worries! I asked if any of the udon can be made cold? She asked the head chef. He yells back that he has no time for this. Like a good one minute lecture, yelling at the staff. So sorry I made him yell at this poor girl I ordered kaisen champon and my partner ordered the niku udon. We waited for a good 30 mins for our food. Fine we like each other enough to spend time with each other and can clearly see it is chaos in the kitchen. We get our food. We didn't get utensils with our food, and were told "I'll grab utensils for you, sorry about that" So we just sat there waiting for utensils. Food is good but there are hairs and a bug ‍ During our time waiting the water wasn't ever filled (it's self serve) so after our food came I asked for water three times, kept getting "I'll refill it". The chawanmushi showed up 20+ minutes after our food, basically as we were finishing. And they don't have to-go containers, which fine, but worth knowing. I've given this place real chances. Last night felt like a hygiene issue, an understaffed kitchen, and a service breakdown all stacked on top of each other. Usually we go during lunch so maybe that's my recommendation moving forward - I'm giving this place a rest from the rotation for now.

We walked into a casual, compact space with a mix of counter and table seating that fits the quick ramen shop style. The interior is efficient and well organized, though it can get extremely busy, and the wait times are often one of the biggest parts of the experience, especially during peak hours. Once seated, the space feels functional and comfortable, designed around getting a bowl of ramen in front of you without unnecessary distractions. The ramen is built around rich tonkotsu broth with a lot of customization options. We appreciated the ability to adjust things like noodle firmness, richness, and spice level, which made each bowl feel more personalized. The regular tonkotsu ramen stood out for its deep umami flavor without feeling overly heavy, and the noodles had a great texture that held up well against the broth. The vegan options also stand out, including miso-based bowls with flavorful broths that give non-pork options more depth than many ramen shops offer. The toppings are generous, and the soft-boiled egg was cooked to that perfect jammy consistency. Beyond ramen, the menu has a few sides that complement the meal well, including gyoza that came out crisp and well filled. We also grabbed mochi ice cream for something sweet afterward, a light finish after the rich broth. The seasonal ramen options are worth checking out since they add variety beyond the standard bowls, giving regular visitors a reason to come back and try something new. Service is generally quick and friendly, especially considering how busy the restaurant gets. The ordering system is straightforward, and the staff handles the constant flow of customers efficiently. The team kept the pace moving without making the experience feel rushed, and they were attentive to refilling water and checking in on the table. The biggest downside is the popularity, since the lines can sometimes feel long for a relatively quick meal, but the wait tends to move faster than expected given the efficient turnover. Ramen Danbo is a reliable spot for a satisfying bowl of ramen in Seattle. The customizable bowls, strong broth, and consistent noodle quality make it a place worth visiting, although planning around busy hours can make the experience much better. The balance of customization and quality means you can dial in your bowl exactly how you like it, and the focused approach to the menu keeps the attention where it belongs.

Tables are mostly four tops, quite spacious at that, and surrounded by sturdy wooden chairs. I came for dinner on a Friday evening and there were a few other tables at any given time. Service was quick and our water never ran empty. We had the wontons in hot oil, topped with peanuts, I had the beef chow fun, and my dinner buddy had the pork with hot sauce noodles. The wontons are very very good, stuffed with flavorful pork and swimming in a sauce that sits in that perfect spot at the intersection of hot and sour. The peanuts and scallions add a delightful crunch. Their beef chow fun satisfies every bit of childhood nostalgia I have for this dish, with lots of wok hei, bouncy noodles, and the most tender of beef. I think my favorite beef chow fun in the city still lives at A+ Hong Kong Kitchen, but this is a close second. The portion here is also huge. I am a human vacuum and I actually brought leftovers home, which is rare for me. The pork with hot sauce noodles is seemingly a fusion of zha jiang mian and dan dan noodles. My friend really enjoyed it and actually finished the whole thing, which is saying something given that she doesn't usually eat that much. There are so many other items on the menu that I'm eager to try, so I will definitely be back.

My wife and son highly recommended this place as a tasty place they found…read more.. After my son's fencing tournament where he stabs his friends... we went on the adventure. The start of the journey began with the requisite parking fiasco and issues that are perpetual in the Seattle ID...but that should never, and I mean never, stop an important mission like finding a truly delicious noodle restaurant. When we went in, it was pretty empty. We were immediately sat, and ordered. The hot jasmine tea quickly followed. Our Calamari came out quick and was delicious to the point I nearly had to fight my son for the last piece. I quickly surrendered as he does stab people...see above...he parried my fork and stabbed the last piece before quickly finishing the move. Our mains came out shortly after we finished the calamari. The 14yo ordered beef brisket noodle soup. He said it was delicious, but too spicy after he added too much chili oil. The wife scoffed at the idea that there's such a thing as too much chili oil and ate some of his soup. This was after she dug into her hot pot. I did get a chance to sample the delicate pork pieces and the flavorful rice. The slightly crispy rice at the bottom of the pot were so delicious. I had the Singapore style fried noodles. Really tasty. The noodles had so many flavors from the vegetables to the meats (shrimp, chicken meat & egg, and pork) and the sauce. I enjoyed the meal, and look forward to discovering more dishes to try on our adventures trying to find parking. JuFeng, thank you for the delicious meal!
