I love hangover easy. It's my go to breakfast place in Columbus. I've never been to the other location, but the Parsons location is always busy! I love the big parking lot across the street. It makes it more enjoyable not having to look for parking. The only downside is the size of the restaurant on the inside. It's quite quaint and a little crowded but if you can get a high-top or a table by the wall, you'll be fine! They do have a patio that they open when the weather is nice! Food is always a 10/10 for me. It's always good laughs, foods, and service. I recommend everyone to try them at least once! read more

The menu is uncomplicated and easy to understand. The food is good, not something I'd write home about but it'll hit the spot when you're hungry. The seating is different from the campus location and you'll be sat likely very close to another table. Overall: Average at best breakfast joint. I had the silence of hams omelette. Pretty good, really liked the paprika added to the top. Ham was good however, wished the onions and peppers were sautéed. Now, what is one thing a BREAKFAST place absolutely has to have? Coffee!!! At least decent coffee. I'm not asking for anything mind blowing. Like some little Peruvian climbing to the top of Machu Picchu and personally roasting me some beans to perfect and then traveling to Iceland to chip away a glacier for the purest water in the world. Best breakfast in Columbus - hands down. First of all, this place has such fun vibes. Hang Over Easy = HOE for short, so everything is HOE this and HOE that. Made me giggle. Then there's a cool rock n roll sensibility about the place, the staff and the patrons. Good music playing, comic books on the walls. And the food. Oh, the food! I tried the chicken and waffles. The waffles were perfection with 3 pieces of fried chicken coated in a spicy, crunchy batter. They wallpapered the restaurant with images of rock bands and musicians: Hendrix, Deep Purple, The Who, Queen but my favorite was the John Belushi poster. What do you order in a place like this? I ordered the "Angry Egg" of course. It consists of 2 eggs prepared your way with HOE fries and toast ($7.50). It is hard to screwup this breakfast and I'm happy to report that they didn't. The food and drinks were both good. This restaurant is virtually on the Ohio State University campus. If you can appreciate edgy or are just in the mood for a truckload of nostalgia, this is probably your breakfast spot. Given their focus on breakfast/brunch, drinks are a key part of the experience. I love their drink selection and prices. Mimosas are $5. The Bloody Mary that I sampled was tasty, and I. Don't. Drink. Bloody. Marys. For fun, I tried a vodka-spiked root beer float which was indeed fun, flavorful and had a little kick, but I don't need to get it again. Foodwise, I had their chicken/chorizo skillet with a biscuit. Both hit the spot, and I see why people rave about the biscuits. On their own, they have almost a creamy texture, but in the best way. A minor item that caught my attention were some small up charges for cheese and avocado which I didn't expect when the waiter offered. Also, if you're going there on a Sunday around 11:00/12:00, you will be waiting for seating at this popular Old Town East institution. I ordered poached eggs with my skillet, one was cooked perfect, the other was overdone, the yolk was thoroughly cooked and solid. My companion ordered the cinnamon roll French toast and said it was delicious. I found the coffee to be very good but it was strong with a slight bitterness. The hoe beeny, which comes with english muffins, eggs Benedict, chorizo, a special cheese sauce, avocado, a side of potatoes and a few other things was really really delicious. The eggs were cooked perfectly!! The food was seasoned really really well. I didnt need salt. Overall, a really great breakfast for a decent price!!! Also let me say I LOVE menus where you can scan a bar code. I also LOVE that they give you your ticket and you can a barcode pay and leave on your own time. I wasn't sure what I wanted being my first time I was curious what was good. Our server was able to quickly give us some suggestions which I settled with the Chicken and waffle with a cup a coffee. The restaurant has such a fabulous vibe that we held conversations with the people at the table next to us, comparing what we had all ordered. They also have a great drink menu. I had "The Dude" on crack. It's dangerously delicious and I ended up having three and leaving with a buzz. I wish I could give this place ten stars because they have mastered the "day after" brunch. Now I enjoyed my stay in this very friendly city but dang, if I would have started my visit with this I would have moved in by end of week.
