I'm rarely up for breakfast, but Hangover Easy is always a great option on the rare occasion I am up early. I got the HOE Benny with potatoes...delicious! I also tried a cocktail that had honeydew (I think) and sparkling wine, also tasty. Another easy breezy visit :).
Great little brunch spot. Service was fantastic, server was friendly and had a smile the whole time. Restrooms are clean. Food was fresh, hot and full of flavor. The frog eyes were delicious. Hearty but good. I topped it off with homemade toaster strudel which was fantastic. A melon drama mimosa was a nice treat to wash the food down. My husband had the sausage bowl which he said was wonderful. The fresh onions and peppers were nice. He topped his meal off with a house Bloody Mary which was well made.
I truly chaotic experience picking up a to-go order. I walk in and the place is packed almost wall to wall. A huge party was in the way of the waitress stand (that was unmanned anyway) and the bartender was very clearly trying to not make eye contact. There definitely has to be some kind of fire hazard associated with the amount of people in the way of walk ways. Finally get my to-go order home. The biscuit is SO good. Turkey sausage and potatoes have a good flavor. Eggs are a little bland but nothing salt can't fix. The French toast was thick and good but I don't think it's worth the price I paid. The french toast by itself was the same price as the "angry egg" combo. I would probably come back, definitely order take out again, but only when I'm ready to fight for my life in a crazy Saturday "brunch" crowd.
I was down the road for an appointment and searched for a local breakfast place and came across HangOverEasy. I had been to the near University of Cincinnati and was happy with my experience, so I wanted to try it again. First off, I appreciated that I was able to park for free during the day on the same block. That was a convenience that I didn't expect in this area. It was almost closing time on a weekday, as I came in about 1pm for lunch (but was craving breakfast food!). There were several tables occupied, but I was able to get seated right away. I was greeted with a smile and an inviting tone as I walked in and seated promptly. I was between several items- the omelette and french toast both sounded amazing, but I wasn't too hungry, so I opted for the angry egg, which is two eggs, toast, and "hoe" fries (see: HangOverEasy), which are breakfast potatoes. I thought about ordering iced coffee as I do love some iced coffee, but opted for the Old Fashioned Cold Brew, which is an old-fashioned with a slight bit of cold brew in there. The drink was out in a jiffy and the food wasn't too long of a wait either. The old-fashioned tasted good and it was reasonably priced. I could've just gone for iced coffee and probably will sometime, but how often do I drink whiskey with my breakfast? Probably never? So why not? The food was great. It was a reasonable portion on a regular-sized plate, which is just what I was looking for. For the price, it felt more than worth it. I also ordered "breakfast protein" on the side, which was an additional upcharge, but I REALLY APPRECIATE that the vegetarian protein was equal in price to the meat! Being vegetarian, I'm always looking for these little things. And the vegetarian protein tasted great! Considering the friendly service, the great vibe and feel of the place, and the good food and drink, I'd 100% return here. It's one of those place I'd recommend to a friend and even bring them here.
Overall I would not recommend this place. First parking is a challenge. I drove around the block a couple of times and eventually found a spot on the street. I visited about 8:30 am on a Wednesday. Seating was not a problem. Service was suspect at best. I was asking the size of the pancakes so I would not order too much food. The pancakes in Texas are very large. She said the size of a plate, asked okay what size is the plate. I went on to explain this is our first time and we live in Texas, everything in Texas are large portions. I shouldn't have had to explain myself. Nonetheless the conversation continued and was not very helpful at all. She eventually apologized for coming across with an attitude. For her to notice herself is good but also bad because it was not necessary. The food arrive very fast which was great. There were egg whites ordered which looked like an 1/2 an egg when they brought them to the table maybe two bites. The pancakes were small and not the size of the plate. I asked for an extra syrup and it came with an extra charge. I was told because it is local syrup. Okay what difference does that make. Nonetheless there should have been a free option on the syrup. The turkey sausage tasted like it had already been cooked and was on stand by. On top of that the pancakes were not very good, overcooked. The appetizer ordered was apple bacon and it was very good. I had to ask for water and on my way out the door I finally was asked for a coffee refill. Overall not impressed with the service or the food. I would not recommend.
We stopped in for brunch on a Sunday morning. We had a large party in. You have to make reservations once you arrive and we staggered in. They said the wait would be longer than it actually was, so that's a plus. They have an interesting menu. And we definitely like variety. There was something for everyone. I ordered the Melon mimosa and chicken and waffles. They didn't pair well, but both were good. Their hot coffee machine was broken... I really wanted a latte! Our waitress was very friendly, and our food came out relatively quickly. I would definitely stop by here again when visiting Ohio. There is street parking and a lot across the street.
Delicious across the board. The portions are great, the mix of flavors is impressive and the flavor is really good. If you want something a little different for breakfast this is the place. Really enjoyed the breakfast tacos which were stuffed with eggs, chorizo and hoe potatoes. The dash of crema was a pleasant surprise. The Dubai Chocolate Pancakes were a nice breakfast dessert. It's like eating a cupcake for breakfast. Delicious. Service was friendly and fast.
Another great experience here. Didn't have reservations, so the wait was extensive. Next time we will join the waitlist ahead of time, seems to be what most were doing. I had the country fried steak this go round and WOW! Great sausage gravy, hoe potatoes and nicely breaded steak was a home run. The star was the cinnamon roll pancakes! Delicious thick cut cinnamon roll French toast with fresh blueberries, what a great combination! Still a solid spot for breakfast/brunch!
We walked in and was told there was a long wait but got seating in less than 15 minutes. Service by the hosts and servers was amazing, they're all very friendly. The food is very filling and is ever I'd want in a Sunday breakfast food. Cute diner ambiance inside too.
I have to start by saying this place is positioned in a perfect spot next to the college. I chose this place off the strength of the amazing pictures that have been taken of this place. I did enjoy the ambiance and the staff especially when I found out what the acronym was. The staff was very friendly and helpful when I asked questions. I couldn't give this place 5 stars because my friends foos came out super late and his eggs weren't prepared as he asked previously. My chicken and waffles is normally how I judge breakfast spots and I did like the take they took on it adding the mild hot sauce on the tenders. The tenders could have been cooked tad bit less and they would have been perfect. I also had a side of french toast hit the spot. Outside of the one mishap this place was phenomenal in terms on taste and customer service. If you're in town do your taste buds a favor and give this place a go.
We reserved a table and got there right on time. The adult drinks was good I got a mango tango the Og burger was good and juicy the fries was alright. The pancake was soooo good I always have a good meal at the HOE!! The service was wonderful.
Went to this cool spot for brunch and we loved every part of it. The food was delicious and not expensive at all. Our server was so nice and food was out fast!

First visit here last weekend. Was able to join the waitlist ahead of time thanks to Yelp. I'd HIGHLY recommend doing so. There was over a hour wait that we avoided. There's street parking all around. Once we got the text that our table was ready we were seated quickly. I ordered a madras mimosa first. It was tasty! $5 for a glass, $20 for a carafe that you don't have to share. For my food I went with the chicken and chorizo skillet. It came out super hot and tasty!! I added some cholula which made it the perfect breakfast IMO. The only reason I'm giving 4 stars instead of 5 is because we felt a little rushed towards the end of our meal. We were given our checks not even halfway through our eating our food and didn't get an opportunity to order a 2nd mimosa. Next time I'd maybe go in earlier so we can linger a bit. read more
Definitely a cute place! New online waiting system. Despite it being very busy, we still got a table for 2 in 10 minutes! Service was fast and friendly. We got the corned beef hash and sausage skillet. Both were yummy, but I LOVED the corned beef hash. It has queso on it. Mind blown. They even offered us coffee in to go cups! I was looking for something different for breakfast and decided to check this out. I got the Dirty Burrito and have to say it was the best breakfast i think I've ever had. The flavor is hard to describe. The chorizo and potatoes had such full flavor they have the burrito a very unique flavor. The sauce i top was enough to add flavor but not heavy. We will be back. As for COVID, it was clean and had phenomenal set up. The food cane out fast and it had an option for contactless paying. Can't wait till next time!!! read more
Ever since I started going on quarantine walks with my friends who live near OTE neighborhood, I have been interested in trying HangOverEasy (HOE) out! Today was the day!! My friends and I stopped by for fuel food before going to march downtown. We didn't know if they were open for dine-in, and luckily they were with plenty of spacing. One of my friends was a frequent visitor of the Cincinnati location, so she knew about all the yummy dishes to order. I'm a big fan of chicken and waffles, but there are so many delicious-sounding/looking (based on great pics on Yelp) options that it was so hard to decide. I went with the HOE Benny because I was feeling some avocado this morning, and nothing sweet. It was amazing! The potatoes on the side were so so good. My friends both enjoyed their burrito(the dirty) and French toast (whole lotta goodness)!! Service was great, servers were all friendly and attentive PLUS they have contact free menus and checkout options as well. I'm really excited to have tried HOE out, and can not wait to come back to try more of their menu items out :) read more

I ordered the chicken and waffles. Easy, right? All you have to do is get a crispy but juicy piece of chicken and a crunchy waffle. My chicken was black and cooked dry and the waffle was soggy. Bad bad bad. read more

Delicious breakfast I had an omelet with all the fixin's including pork belly which was seared and crispy! This is a definite go to breakfast spot in Columbus no, but don't tell anyone cuz I don't want the word to spread too much. Lol read more
Going with 5 because there is nothing major to change at this diner. Service, food, and accommodations were all top notch. There's no way around it, it's as many seats possible in a small space. Practically communal dining. There's a free parking lot across the street that is shared by the firefighters. Please abide with the designated spaces(see pic). Front door has a wind break(see pic) to keep the climate away from your hot food. Simple, needed, yet seen as cost prohibitive by most restaurants. Big point for keeping my food hot, as you expect it to be served. Bench seats up front for those waiting to be seated. A small bar bordered by some stools acts as a diner counter. Yes there's limited alcohol options per signature drinks. Sturdy tables and chairs. Well lit from above, and the large front window. Unisex bathrooms in the back. Coat hooks adorn the walls. Service is friendly and menu knowledgeable with all kinds of suggestions and pairings. Thanks for always checking back on our food and drink refills. Our 6 top of diners with critical eyes noticed it all, and enjoyed it all. **The Breakfast Shot** I found out about here in reviews. It was a generous portion for the price(see pic). It tasted like buttered french toast & syrup. ~CBH Homemade corned beef hash is actually homemade(see pic). No can here. The beef is hand cut into finger digit size cubes, and tossed with the HOE potatoes. I added peppers and onions(cook soft) to add more flavors. I feel that's an easy recipe change for the better. Great seasoning. No over salty flavor to try to break down any fast-cooked meat. This was cooked low and slow, perfectly. I went with the Rye bread as recommended, and found it complimentary to the dish. My eggs were cooked perfect with runny yolk. The queso sauce was lost beneath my broken yolk, so I have no true taste of it. I thought my meal looked small when it arrived, but left me full and content. Thank you for that portion control. If we can get going early enough that I don't max out on coffee at home, I am interested in trying theirs. For that matter, I saw many items on the menu that beckon my immediate return. I was pleased to find out they give a Military discount with proper ID(see pic). read more
Delicious brunch this morning! I had the Dirty burrito. I split it with Sandy W and it was the perfect amount! Others had the pork belly omelet, breakfast tacos, hash and pancakes. Everyone enjoyed their meals. All meals were seasoned well with fresh ingredients. They had a nice variety of menu options. Service was good! read more

First time here. Went for breakfast with family and friends. Service was attentive and friendly. Sara kept refreshing the water glasses and coffee without asking! I shared the breakfast burrito and the flavor was outstanding! It was stuffed with chorizo, Ho potatoes, queso and eggs. Very delicious. We also get a side of fresh fruit but that cost extra. We got there around 9am on Saturday and by 10am there was a wait to be seated. Parking is across the street but don't park if the spot is marked 'Firehouse parking '. read more

i just want to take time to let everyone know that I found CHEWED GUM stuck on my B.E.L.T. the manager proceeded to imply that it must be my fault. lmao. what a joke! I was here with work colleagues and we were all appalled. I even contacted corporate about a week ago and STILL haven't heard back. this is absolutely disgusting!! I will NEVER eat here again and would never recommend to anyone. if I can clearly see chewed gum on my sandwich then what happens to the rest of your food that customers can't see??? do better, specifically the management. Im leaving reviews everywhere I can until this establishment holds themselves accountable for their serious health code violation. I almost ate someone else's spit. read more

I was too excited to eat my food to take a picture of it. Best brunch I have had in a long time! The French toast latte had the perfect level of sweetness, was not too sweet. The chicken fried steak was the best I've ever had. The breading wasn't too much and wasn't too little. Great flavor. Very tender meat. The potatoes were spectacular. I had a side of peppered bacon which was perfection. I just wish it was more than two pieces for the price. Our server was attentive, knowledgeable, and SO KIND. I wish I lived closer to Columbus so I could come more often! read more

Came across this place because other breakfast/brunch places were closed on New Years Day. The food was really good, although there is typically a wait time and food can take awhile. Would recommend if you want a slightly different breakfast while in the area. read more
Cure a hangover or catch one? Either is on the menu here. At first look you'll wonder how such simple looking classics stand out. I think that's what they want you to feel until you take that first bite. Flavor just explodes onto your tongue. The Chicken Chorizo Skillet is my new number 1! The flavors meld over potatoes (HOE Fries) that feel like they were seasoned by your great grandmother making Saturday morning breakfast. The chicken and waffles they'll tell you are pretty standard but they are anything but. Tremendous taste and super balanced. The gem though....the OG burger... if you're trying to cure a hangover this is it. Simple burger, cheese, pickle and onions. You'll thank me later. read more

I'm was in town for my nephew's graduation. I didn't drive so I was looking for a place to grab breakfast downtown. I walked over to HangOverEasy because they had great reviews. I was not disappointed! I was able to grab a seat at the front counter. My food was served within 5-7 mins. The bartenders very attentive even though they were crowded. read more

Everyone is friendly. Food fast, hot and fresh. The orange/grapefruit mimosa great start. Cannoli pancakes- I think it's the current special- very tasty. The chicken and waffles a hit- perfect amount of heat with crispy waffle. Server recommended the sausage skillet and it was delicious and filling. Love the thick cut sourdough toast. read more

I have been here now twice! The service both times was great. My husband and I sat at the bar and ate. The guy who attends the bar is so friendly and helpful and funny. The food here is delicious and fast...I also tried one of the mimosas with cranberry and pineapple and orange juice, it was gone so fast! That's how good it was...I also like that their rye bread toast is cut thick. read more
We tried going on a Saturday and it was an hour and a half wait. We finally went on a Friday afternoon and was able to be seated right away! There comics on the wall. It was kind of nostalgic seeing the space. I can see why there was a wait. The place is really small. Our table was small and really close to other tables. So expect some elbow rubbing. I got the pork belly Benedict, the sauce wAs amazing. I loved that it was over a flakes biscuit and not over a hard McMuffin. The pork was crispy and the potatoes was crispy. This place is incredible. I'm sleepy writing this after eating there. The Parsons location has parking around it and a lot across from it. It was packed when we came but got seating right away. Barackus was our waiter and was the best, warm friendly and fun! The food: wait staff recommended some favorites. We picked drinks first. Those came out first. Ordered: the OG burger. Yeah sounds dry boring - it was anything but that. Plenty of flavor juicy and tasted so good with pickle onion and cheese. The skillet we ordered with chicken and chorizo. It was fabulous. The potatoes reminded me of going home to mom's and her frying up some breakfast potatoes. Staff suggested both proteins. Do it! S'mores pancake (special) - was hungry when I ordered it. Glad I did. Gooey warm marshmallow topping dusted in graham cracker crumbs and the chocolate was on the bottom. Incredible, reminded me of the inside of a cinnamon roll, but with marshmallow. Chicken and waffles - looks so simple and mediocre. It's incredible. Chicken is Panko crusted and lightly sauced. Staff was so friendly and kind. Waiter danced a little here and there. When I return I am looking to try the falafel wrap, the burrito, the tacos and taco salad! Yes. I want it all. So go and tell me how the rest of it was. Because Hangover Easy IS the cure to your party-too-hard woes. read more
