First visit here last weekend. Was able to join the waitlist ahead of time thanks to Yelp. I'd HIGHLY recommend doing so. There was over a hour wait that we avoided. There's street parking all around. Once we got the text that our table was ready we were seated quickly. I ordered a madras mimosa first. It was tasty! $5 for a glass, $20 for a carafe that you don't have to share. For my food I went with the chicken and chorizo skillet. It came out super hot and tasty!! I added some cholula which made it the perfect breakfast IMO. The only reason I'm giving 4 stars instead of 5 is because we felt a little rushed towards the end of our meal. We were given our checks not even halfway through our eating our food and didn't get an opportunity to order a 2nd mimosa. Next time I'd maybe go in earlier so we can linger a bit. read more

I was looking for something different for breakfast and decided to check this out. I got the Dirty Burrito and have to say it was the best breakfast i think I've ever had. The flavor is hard to describe. The chorizo and potatoes had such full flavor they have the burrito a very unique flavor. The sauce i top was enough to add flavor but not heavy. We will be back. Ever since I started going on quarantine walks with my friends who live near OTE neighborhood, I have been interested in trying HangOverEasy (HOE) out! Today was the day!! My friends and I stopped by for fuel food before going to march downtown. We didn't know if they were open for dine-in, and luckily they were with plenty of spacing. One of my friends was a frequent visitor of the Cincinnati location, so she knew about all the yummy dishes to order. I'm a big fan of chicken and waffles, but there are so many delicious-sounding/looking (based on great pics on Yelp) options that it was so hard to decide. I went with the HOE Benny because I was feeling some avocado this morning, and nothing sweet. It was amazing! The potatoes on the side were so so good. My friends both enjoyed their burrito(the dirty) and French toast (whole lotta goodness)!! Service was great, servers were all friendly and attentive PLUS they have contact free menus and checkout options as well. Cool little breakfast spot in the heart of downtown Columbus. There is off street parking across the street and a half block away near Upper Cup Coffee. The service was excellent, so no complaints there. Super friendly and fun staff. Water was brought to the table as soon as we sat down, which is big plus in my book (no need to ask). Menu is still online, so don't expect to read a hard copy (which I prefer, and I believe adds a little more class and comfort to a restaurant). Coffee was not very good, especially for a breakfast place. Not as bad as Denny's, but certainly not as good as a First Watch or even McDonald's. And, they only offer the plastic creamers. When will restaurants, especially breakfast joints, go back to real half and half...? I would rate the food as above average, but I would give the menu an EXCELLENT. And, I'd like to go back and try some of the other unique offerings. I had The Dirty (breakfast burrito), which was good. My wife had the Frog Eyes, which she said were really good (especially the biscuits). I want to go back and try the HOE Benny for sure, as I am an eggs benedict fan. I went with The Dirty on recommendation from our server. Probably deserves 3.5 stars, but Yelp doesn't give us that option. I was too excited to eat my food to take a picture of it. Best brunch I have had in a long time! The French toast latte had the perfect level of sweetness, was not too sweet. The chicken fried steak was the best I've ever had. The breading wasn't too much and wasn't too little. Great flavor. Very tender meat. The potatoes were spectacular. Absolutely Not if you are Black. I came in from Cleveland for a business trip and enjoy brunch with family. Everything was good until a family member pancakes were cold. The waitress was amazing and had no problem with the fix. The cook came out aggressively abs said who had a problem with the pancakes. The family member said yes just wanted it warm. He became loud unnecessarily saying its not cold. My family member said thats his opinion she just want warm food. She then asked texas toast in place of the pancakes. Front door has a wind break(see pic) to keep the climate away from your hot food. Simple, needed, yet seen as cost prohibitive by most restaurants. Big point for keeping my food hot, as you expect it to be served. Bench seats up front for those waiting to be seated. A small bar bordered by some stools acts as a diner counter. Yes there's limited alcohol options per signature drinks. Sturdy tables and chairs. Well lit from above, and the large front window. Unisex bathrooms in the back. Coat hooks adorn the walls. The beef is hand cut into finger digit size cubes, and tossed with the HOE potatoes. I added peppers and onions(cook soft) to add more flavors. I feel that's an easy recipe change for the better. Great seasoning. No over salty flavor to try to break down any fast-cooked meat. This was cooked low and slow, perfectly. I went with the Rye bread as recommended, and found it complimentary to the dish. My eggs were cooked perfect with runny yolk. The queso sauce was lost beneath my broken yolk, so I have no true taste of it. I thought my meal looked small when it arrived, but left me full and content. Thank you for that portion control. If we can get going early enough that I don't max out on coffee at home, I am interested in trying theirs. For that matter, I saw many items on the menu that beckon my immediate return. I have been wanting to try this place for awhile, and finally got an excuse when my friend asked me for brunch. A popular spot, the restaurant was packed. The restaurant noise level is a bit loud because of how many patrons were in there. We had mimosas for brunch. I got the chicken and waffle dish. It was so tasty. We tried going on a Saturday and it was an hour and a half wait. We finally went on a Friday afternoon and was able to be seated right away! There comics on the wall. It was kind of nostalgic seeing the space. I can see why there was a wait. The place is really small. Our table was small and really close to other tables. So expect some elbow rubbing. I got the pork belly Benedict, the sauce wAs amazing. I loved that it was over a flakes biscuit and not over a hard McMuffin. The pork was crispy and the potatoes was crispy. Barackus was our waiter and was the best, warm friendly and fun! The food: wait staff recommended some favorites. We picked drinks first. Those came out first. Ordered: the OG burger. Yeah sounds dry boring - it was anything but that. Plenty of flavor juicy and tasted so good with pickle onion and cheese. The skillet we ordered with chicken and chorizo. It was fabulous. The potatoes reminded me of going home to mom's and her frying up some breakfast potatoes. Staff suggested both proteins. Do it! S'mores pancake (special) - was hungry when I ordered it. Glad I did. Gooey warm marshmallow topping dusted in graham cracker crumbs and the chocolate was on the bottom. Incredible, reminded me of the inside of a cinnamon roll, but with marshmallow. Chicken and waffles - looks so simple and mediocre. It's incredible. Chicken is Panko crusted and lightly sauced. Staff was so friendly and kind. Waiter danced a little here and there. We absolutely loved this place. It's pretty small and they are definitely doing social distancing with the seating which is great. Also hand sanitizer on each table. We didn't have to wait at all. Our server Sarah was awesome. Love her! I had the Frog Eyes (2 eggs, biscuits and gravy) and my husband had Sloppy Seconds. (2 eggs, bacon, toast and potatoes.)
