We started with pomme frites and the lobster mac n cheese. The lobster mac n cheese has a good smokey flavor and big chunks of lobster. I would order that again. The pomme frites were a huge portion but a bit too salty to enjoy (the sauce was good that it came with). I like salty things, but even I found it a bit much and the hubs found them inedible. We ordered the chicken and waffles and the papardelle (goat cheese, mushrooms etc). The hubs said the chicken and waffles weren't better than Rarebit (we had been reading reviews beforehand). I thought it was good! Not necessarily the best in town, but not at all disappointing. The pasta I ordered was not my thing, but the hubs really likes it. Dinner: fried pork chop with low country rice (fried. pork chops...who knew?) scallops (so slightly cooked and so fresh and tender) with cauliflower risotto and the best chicken and waffles i've ever had...definitely going back to try the lobster mac and cheese. blueberry lemon cake and chocolate soufflé were the perfect end. I wanted to like this place more.... But couldn't. To their credit, I may have ordered the wrong things. The lobster Mac and cheese is delicious, but not really an appetizer. It's more a full blown side that could go with an entree or steak. The calamari is okay. But I like fresh ringlets and tentacles with a light flour batter. These are more like calamari "steak fingers." The salmon salad is delicious. It's a low energy atmosphere so I would not go here if you want sights, sounds , and people watching. I wouldn't go if you are younger and on a first date. It's more quiet older crowd. The service is awesome and they make a mean amaretto sour! read more

Dinner time had slipped our minds due to a very busy day, so we were desperate to find a place to dine. We were pretty much limited to eateries after 9 PM but managed to find Graze in a tight pinch. Graze is a restaurant that serves moderately-priced food in a casual atmosphere. There is ample parking available, as it is located in Mount Pleasant's Patriots Plaza Shopping Center. I ordered the Cilantro-Lime Buffalo Shrimp craft tacos. All craft taco dishes are served with a Graze salad, which consists of mesclun (assorted mixed greens), sunflower seeds, beets, carrots, and lemon vinaigrette. The buffalo shrimp had a nice taste and crunch to it. Considering the hour at which we walked into the restaurant to eat - within an hour of closing - I did not want to be overly critical of my entrée. The salad was sufficient. I'm a huge beet fan, but the beets tasted a bit dehydrated! I would get this dish again. My husband ordered the Duck Confit craft tacos. His dish was also served with the Graze salad. I only have one word to describe the duck confit - saaaaaaaaaalty. I took a bite of the duck confit and struggled to swallow it. For every bite of taco, I witnessed him taking a considerable sip of water to lessen the saltiness and wash his food down more easily. We'd be willing to give this place a second chance. Yummy wild mushroom pappardelle pasta for me and shrimp pasta for Lou. Excellent as always !! Graze has a location in Mount Pleasant and they also have a newer location in Summerville . This is one of my and my best friends favorite spots for happy hour. You have to sit in the bar to get the specials but they are so well worth it. It seems that every time I go back I say I'm going to try something else because it all looks so good, yet I continue to order the wild mushroom Pappardelle pasta! We had a gift card to come here and needed a date night. The husband and I set out around 6. We didn't have a reservation although I think one is needed. They say us within 5 minutes and we had great service. The ambiance of the restaurant was nice and simple. It is a smaller place but doesn't have much clutter. We decided to spoil ourselves and got a soup and tacos for an appetizer. The tacos come with a salad. We got the braised tacos which were awesome. They really packed the meat in them which was good. For my entree I got the buffalo shrimp tacos and my husband got the bolagniase. They were both delicious. Thankfully I was super full. It was definitely enough food. Wow. What a great place. Went here for Happy Hour and sat at the bar. Our bartender Amy was super nice. We decided to try the happy hour food and then see if we were still hungry. We had the buffalo shrimp taco, the short rib taco, Korean wings, and the pierogis with crispy brussels sprouts. The best of the bunch were the pierogis and the buffalo shrimp taco. We talked to other folks at the bar and heard nothing but rave reviews of the place. They have a bunch of different items on the menu, but we did ourselves in on the happy hour food. We talked to the manager to see how they were surviving during the pandemic and it sounds like they are making it work. The food and the service was terrific. Give them a try if you are in the area. I've had the pleasure of visiting Graze for brunch on 2 occasions. It's located in a shopping center in Mt. Pleasant. There's plenty of parking so that's nothing to worry about. Brunch here isn't crowded which is surprising. On both occasions, the restaurant was half full. 1st time I dined there I was with a group of like 10-12 people. Service was awesome as we were all taken care promptly and with gratitude. I ordered the Duck Confit BLT...delicious! Oh and a couple of mimosas! I still wish there were bottomless mimosas in the Charleston area.. 2nd time around I ordered the classic French toast with a side of bacon. because I had a taste for something sweet and I was kinda in a hurry. The French toast was tasteful BUT the texture was not. It looked great on the outside but once I sliced into the bread and put it in my mouth...it was soggy! Still eatable but soggy! I've been wanting to go to this restaurant for a long time but it's far from my home. I had a doctor's appt. nearby and finally got there. I had Korean chicken wings, very good and a good portion size. Unfortunately my husband ordered fish tacos and what you pay for is not what you get. Portion was two small tacos and a very small quantity of unremarkable steamed looking fish. Loaded with a very wet kind of slaw, I think it had Bok Choy. They immediately fell apart, I commented to the waitress that I needed a wet nap because it was very messy, she said that means they were good. They were not, and I won't be back, in any event it was a meager serving and came with fries that were similar to what you might get at McDonalds. read more

It's been awhile since I've returned to Graze, but stopped for lunch with my sister while she was in town. Busy lunch crowd. The service and food were great! We got the lobster Mac n cheese and Philly cheesesteak. A philly girl would say call it a steak sandwich, not the infamous cheesesteak. It was very tasty, hot peppers and special sauce. The bread was excellent and soft and I got a pound of fries with it- no joke! The lobster Mac n cheese had huge chunks of ! I'd say the lobster was a bit over cooked but plentiful. Was skeptical due to the last time we were in town but must say was excellent. The shrimp bisque was creamy and not overly salty. The Korean wings were just ok. Nit crispy and bland. The chicken and waffles were the best i have ever had. The waffles were crispy and the chicken moist. The shirt rib tacos were very tasty. The bolognese was delicious and the pasta not overcooked. Service very good but had some gnats flying around. I used to own a restaurant and that usually means they are coming from the drains. They need to clean their drains. Rolled into town today after 7 hours on the road. Got to the hotel and thought we could get into a restaurant but no such luck. Call a half-dozen places and everything was booked solid until 8:30 p.m. too late for us. Phoned Graze and didn't get through but decided to drive there anyway. In the middle of a strip mall was the restaurant. Double parked, walked in and saw a table open and a couple seats at the bar. More than one staff member was helpful and magically cleared a table and put down some menus. I ran out told my wife to go inside while I parked. Brian, our server, was solid, friendly along with providing a wealth of information about what to do, where to go and places to eat during our short stay. Started with a pierogi appetizer which was awesome and then we had the mahi dinner along with the crab cake dinner. Both were absolutely delicious. Wrapped it up with the chocolate souffle for dessert which was also very very tasty. After a long travel day we left the restaurant satisfied and full. What a great experience when I thought we might end up at Moe's Southwest Grill across the street. read more

My first experience at Graze wasn't that great, but yesterday, I gave it a second chance for happy hour. I'm really glad I did. Graze has one of the better happy hour menus I've seen. The drinks are cheap ($4 glasses of wine), but they also have $3 tacos and $3 sliders, and various appetizers for $4-5. Happy Hour is from 5-7 each day, so you can eat on the cheap. I had two tacos- the buffalo shrimp and the fish of the day, which was salmon. The buffalo shrimp taco comes with blue cheese, but they happily substituted goat cheese for me (I don't really care for blue cheese). I also sampled some of my friend's truffle oil french fries. Everything was delicious and the tacos were full of meat and filling. The service was very good and our waiter checked on us several times. If you're looking for a good happy hour in Mt. I went here for my five year anniversary dinner and was overall pleased with our choice. We started with the pomme frites. I expected one of those little tall cylinder containers and figured splitting them between two people would be no problem. Well, we got a GIANT bowl. The fries were good, but despite having tons of yummy looking topping, somehow we still found them and the sauce to be a little bland. This may have just been personal opinion. They came out quickly and were hot and plentiful. Our main dishes followed and these were home runs! I got the wild mushroom peppardelle and the plate was bursting with flavor, very hearty, and a big portion. Everything I look for in a meal was there. Also, I appreciated that they had two vegetarian entree options! My fiance got the lamb oso bucco and liked it as well. We we're both so full from the fries would couldn't even eat half or get dessert. I'd rather have this problem than the other way around. I docked a star because we never got told the dinner specials and had no idea there were any. We overheard our waitress telling another table after we had gotten our meals and my fiance would have absolutely loved to get the duck special. He was a bit disappointed he missed out. First off, my husband and I love Graze so I hate to be negative; however, our entrees this evening were not up to par. We each ordered the blue cheese encrusted filet mignon - medium rare. While the beef portion size was respectable, and the meat, tender, the filets were neither seared, nor encrusted in blue cheese, resulting in a presentation that was not very appealing. Further, my husband's filet bordered on raw ... way, way south of the medium rare preparation he requested. He probably should have requested a new plate but he did not. The mashed potatoes were just average and rather dry; however, we both agreed that the asparagus were perfectly prepared and provided just enough snap to deem them the highlight of the meal. Our server was attentive. Though the restaurant was packed, with diners waiting to be seated, we did not feel rushed. While we didn't have the dining experience we've come to expect at Graze, we definitely will go back. read more

Ok, the lobster mac & cheese here is giving my personal fave at Crave (Mt. Pleasant) a run for its money. The cheese is just right and the panko bread crumbs give a nice texture to the dish. Plus it's a helluva lot cheaper than the dish at Crave. But, Crave has more points for overall satisfaction. Other than our server who kept disappearing for long periods of time (it shouldn't take 30 minutes to settle the bill), I enjoyed my first visit. I stole a few pieces of my brother's waffle from his Chicken & Waffles dish. I usually stay away from this dish because it has the potential to go wrong. But the waffle served here is ah-mazing. And the chicken was just right, too. I'd probably order it the next time I'm here, and fuggedabout the calories. I also tried my brother's girlfriend's gnocchi. They were tasty as well. I did so much sampling of everyone else's food that I barely touched my cilantro-lime BBQ shrimp tacos and salad. The little bit I did eat was good. This has nothing to do with the restaurant, but the flies outside were being pure haters by the time we wrapped up our meals. I'm not sure why we weren't able to sit at one of the empty tables indoors, but we were offered a table outside. Just beware of the bugs if you're out there at dusk. I enjoyed my salmon over a bed of fresh mesclun salad with blue cheese and candied pecans. My older son's Caesar Salad with the optional grilled chicken was a good size for dinner. Hubby's salmon entree had a wonderful berry reduction that added a new dimension to the pan-seared salmon. He also enjoyed the rustic slaw and fluffy potato latke. My younger son's Shrimp Carbonara was portioned a bit smaller than a typical restaurant serving which was the right amount for such a rich dish. This was popular restaurant even on a Monday night. We were lucky to get a table without reservation! Service was efficient without the fawning "how's everything" every 5 minutes which we appreciate.
