It was my best friend's birthday so we double dated there on a rainy Sunday (~1030am) and got outdoor seated under the covered patio. We started with a round of drinks and all the cocktails were amazing (I got what was more or less a cherry cordial espresso martini which was delicious and everyone else got the seasonal mimosa which I believe was a strawberry mint which they all enjoyed). I also ended up getting the oatmeal cookie latte and it was fine, would get it again but it didn't blow my mind. Our server Jared was amazing and gave my friend a banana bread appetizer for his birthday which was actually the best thing I ate there - the service in general was great, we were seated in a timely fashion and Jared checked in on us often but not in an annoying kind of way - It was like a slice of banana bread and brownie made sweet, passionate love and exuded the chocolate sauce all over the plate afterwards. Not too sweet, warm, chocolatey and banana-y, definitely give it a shot. I got the huevos rancheros which seemed kind of small in the bowl it came in but after mixing it all together, it was a nice serving size. The breakfast potatoes I had to order on the side but they were also delicious; fried fluffy potatoes that were sprinkled with some paprika and other seasoning. As I'm from Boston and frequently travel to Charleston to see my buddy, I will definitely try to come back more often during future visits! read more

Honestly just ok for me. I wouldn't go back. Started with a wait for the bar while there were (I counted) 8 tables open. It's not a big space so that was a lot of tables. Sure maybe they were spoken for with reservations, but when we left an hour and a half later, half were still empty. So they could stand to tighten up on seating. Started with the cinnamon roll and honestly I don't get the hype. It was ok. We had to ask them to take it back to heat up. It was like a 7 out of 10 at the absolute most. Had the veggie sauce and it was good. But there are juices in the bottom maybe from the veggies so it got a little soupy and made the crispy potatoes soggy. I'd have loved to have it drained or something before I got it. The area is not one you're going to spend the day in, so you're going just to visit Park. I wouldn't go again. I didn't know much about Park & Grove but when I saw Shakshuka on the menu I knew I had to try this place. Located near Hampton Park there is a large no cost parking lot right across the street from the restaurant which is a unicorn in this town. The outside is lush and green with trees surround the restaurant and potted plants outside. Inside was bright and cheery with lots of natural light and relaxed tones. We decided to dine on the outside patio which was covered and equipped with heaters for the coldest month. Cocktails were in order, so I tried the appropriately named cherry bomb. I was liked drinking a spiked cherry Kool Aid which was not a bad think. The drink was fruity and refreshing and perfect for sipping on throughout the meal. My wife ordered the Persephone which was tequila and blood orange and lined with a black salt rim. The salt balanced out the sweetness of the blood orange for a really enjoyable drink. Next, we started with an item that literally blew us away, their cinnamon roll! I am usually not a fan of really sweet foods, but this roll was damn near perfect. The roll itself was not the least bit dense or gummy, in fact I would compare to a flaky croissant. The frosting was silky and light with just the right amount of sweetness. Topped with candied nuts that provided the needed crunch factor this roll I believe is the best in the lowcountry. It simply must be tried! My wife ordered the highly recommended fried chicken with biscuit. The chicken was a perfect golden brown and surprisingly juicy for breast meat, she thought it was a thigh at first. The biscuit was nice and soft, and the hot honey brought home the flavor. The is a side of mushroom gravy but with the hot honey it was kind of superfluous. Like I said at the beginning I was there for the Shakshuka, a dish I have fallen in love with. It more than met my expectations being rich and comforting with the perfect level of spice. I have eaten Shakshuka at "The Select" and this one beats it hands down! If you have never tried this dish, you are truly missing out on a culinary experience. They even gave me extra bread at no cost. The service was top notch with us never having to wait for anything and our water glasses kept filled. They even boxed up our leftovers for us which is a class move. It you are looking for a laid-back brunch with great food and service this is you place! read more

It's been a while since I have been here. The space is more open than before. There's lots of covered outdoor seating as well. Since it was Sunday, brunch was the available menu. They boast that they serve seasonal dishes, so I tried the seasonal sautéd vegetables with poached eggs. The vegetables consisted of zucchini, summer squash, and potatoes. There may have been spinach in there as well and some amazing mushrooms. I thought about taking a picture after I had finished.... I also ordered the chocolate banana bread. I came here with my companion and she surprised me! Surprises are not for the lame, you need to be tough, like me. Most the time, I am tough as nails. That was really fun honestly I won't spoil it for you but you do get to spray the vermouth however much you want and there is some oil thing that was peculiar. We really liked when we had our martinis. We got it for happy hour. Wednesday's they have a $9 burger deal or maybe it was half off regardless my companion knew I would like that deal (well of course she thought I would like it when SHE [companion] pays). The public parking across the street was crowded which worried me a bit. The restaurant was also hoping but they were able to seat us (just 2 people) pretty immediately.
