Breakfast sandwich
Jennifer D.

Amazing brunch spot! Love their covered patio and it is very dog friendly. I was so impressed with their iced oatmeal cookie latte, and the Bloody Mary was incredibly flavorful. My boyfriend and I thought the breakfast sandwich was one of the best we've had. The avocado and special sauce made it extra delicious but hands down the standout of our meal Was the cinnamon roll. So soft, and a great balance of cinnamon layers and frosting. Wish I lived closer so I could go more often!

Love the outdoor area which is dog friendly! I guess others feel the same way since there was hardly anyone inside. We only had a drink which was good. Saw lots of burgers go by. Read about the burger special on Wednesdays so we will have to come check it out and I will update it. Service was fine, nothing stood out in any way.

Smash Burger with Signature Sauce

Park & Grove offers a great atmosphere and solid food in the heart of Charleston. The setting is beautiful, especially the outdoor area, and the service was friendly and attentive throughout our visit. I ordered the Smashburger paired with fries, and it was definitely a highlight. The burger was juicy, well-seasoned, and cooked just right with that classic crispy edge you want from a smashburger. The fries were hot, fresh, and a perfect complement -- simple but done well. I also tried the featured lobster roll, which was served cold and prepared with mayo and chives rather than butter. While the lobster itself was fresh and tender, I personally would have preferred a warm, buttery style. That said, if you enjoy a traditional cold New England-style lobster roll, this version may be right up your alley. Overall, Park & Grove delivers a pleasant dining experience with good food, great ambiance, and a menu that offers something for everyone. With a few small tweaks, it could easily be a five-star spot for me -- but I'd still gladly return.

The restaurant is very nice and cozy, they have a nice outdoor patio to sit and enjoy your meal. The service was great everyone was very friendly and made sure you had a great experience. The coffee, blood orange mocktail and biscuits were delicious. The burger and regular breakfast was just okay I was hoping it would be a good as the biscuits and drinks but unfortunately it wasn't. I'd definitely come back only for the drinks, service and biscuit.

Brunch burger with no egg

My friend and I tried this place when we're in town since it was highly recommended, and we understood why as soon as we saw it! The outdoor seating area was so charming and honestly just seemed so inviting since it was such a beautiful day out--we immediately decided to sit outside! Even though it was morning, I was really craving a burger, so I ordered the Brunch Burger (I ordered it without the egg, though!). The patty was insanely juicy and well seasoned--I practically inhaled it! I definitely recommend trying this place out if you are in town!

I am visiting from out of town and was recommended this place by a local. I'm so glad I tried it because the food was incredible. I had the huevos rancheros, which were extremely tasty and filling. The service was incredible too! Our waitress was extremely kind and checked in on us regularly. We sat outside on the patio which has plenty of seating. It's perfect for a nice day!

Smash burger and fries

I really want to like this place. But I feel like their food is hit and miss. The vibes are awesome- they have this cute outdoor space in the front of the restaurant which is perfect for brunch outside. I like their drinks and they can do a burger good. But anything else I have ordered has been a disappointment. We tried the huevos rancheros and it was literally like soup. The tortilla on the bottom was soggy and it was full of tomato and beans that you really couldn't taste any other flavors. We literally didn't eat it. We tried their cinnamon roll and it was okaayyyyy but nothing special. Definitely a biscuit base cinnamon roll dough (not flakey or moist). The cream cheese on it was literally just homemade cream cheese and not icing. Like I said, they do a burger good. I've had their smashburger and breakfast burger. Both are good. Their fries/potatoes are good but to be honest I wouldn't venture out and try anything else here.

We came as they were setting up for a private event and dinner service wasnt going to start for another 40 minutes. But they still sat us and we ordered drinks to kill time. I ordered hot tea & the Persephone cocktail which was really well balanced. When it was time to order, the food arrived fast. The truffle fries and chicken milanese were very tasty. The aoili that came with the fries & chicken milanese was also really good. One caviat is that the chicken was right at the boarder of going from juicy to dry. Its still good, but i think it should come with more sauce or something to accomodate.

We dined for brunch over Labor Day, got the breakfast special and chicken with gravy. The food was okay, the portions were very small for the price you are paying. Both these meals with water were $50 with tip. Originally went because we wanted to try the shrimp and grits but the price turned me away. The location and overall ambience of the restaurant was good. We sat outside, which did cause tons of flies. I would rate my experience here, a 6/10.

Soooo good! Wow! I was really impressed by this spot. The chicken Milanese was to die for. The smash burger wasn't really a true smash burger...but it was delicious!!! Upgrade to the truffle fries - maybe the best fries I've EVER had. No joke

This place was fan-tastic! From the London Fog we started with (Lavender and Toasted Marshmallows? Yes please!) to the crab cake eggs Benedict, to the hot honey fried chicken with fresh baked biscuit and milk gravy, there was nothing not love! Service was fast, friendly, and efficient. Always there to refill a water glass or help without being overwhelming. Ambiance was perfect for a brunch spot, with indoor, outdoor, and patio seating to please everybody.

Great Sunday brunch. Absolutely loved the huevos rancheros and of course a cinnamon roll for the table. Our server was super helpful and very attentive. Great outdoor seating so you can bring pups along if you're out downtown! Which I love.

Forgot the actual name on the menu but it was more or less a cherry cordial espresso martini (I believe it was a special)

It was my best friend's birthday so we double dated there on a rainy Sunday (~1030am) and got outdoor seated under the covered patio. We started with a round of drinks and all the cocktails were amazing (I got what was more or less a cherry cordial espresso martini which was delicious and everyone else got the seasonal mimosa which I believe was a strawberry mint which they all enjoyed). I also ended up getting the oatmeal cookie latte and it was fine, would get it again but it didn't blow my mind. Our server Jared was amazing and gave my friend a banana bread appetizer for his birthday which was actually the best thing I ate there - the service in general was great, we were seated in a timely fashion and Jared checked in on us often but not in an annoying kind of way - It was like a slice of banana bread and brownie made sweet, passionate love and exuded the chocolate sauce all over the plate afterwards. Not too sweet, warm, chocolatey and banana-y, definitely give it a shot. I got the huevos rancheros which seemed kind of small in the bowl it came in but after mixing it all together, it was a nice serving size. The breakfast potatoes I had to order on the side but they were also delicious; fried fluffy potatoes that were sprinkled with some paprika and other seasoning. As I'm from Boston and frequently travel to Charleston to see my buddy, I will definitely try to come back more often during future visits!

It sets the tone immediately, and the festive energy carries straight through the meal. We kicked things off with Bloody Marys and a Morning Fog -- simple, classic, and done right. For starters, we shared the Hula Hoisin Wings. They were definitely on the heavier side with the hoisin, but still absolutely delicious. The Mistletoe Mango Tuna Poke Tacos were a standout. They come as a small plate with three appetizer-sized tacos, and every bite was bright, fresh, and beautifully balanced. The Buddy the Elf Burger offers a choice of a single or double patty; ours was cooked perfectly. The smoky bacon really brought everything together and gave it that extra "wow" factor. We rounded things out with the O Come, All Ye Fried Rice with Hanger Steak, which was another winner -- perfectly cooked, flavorful, and incredibly satisfying. As if the meal wasn't great enough on its own, we happened to be there while Emily Curtis was performing. She's truly incredible and added such a fun, memorable vibe to the day. I'd be remiss not to mention Kevin our server. Go see him. He was great. The whole team works great together. Don't let the bar-like atmosphere fool you -- Prohibition is far from your typical bar food or bar scene. There's a great space in the back, and the elevated menu makes it absolutely worth the visit. A festive, flavorful, all-around fantastic experience.

Our service would have made this 5 stars but we have lots of other choices on King Street that will have staff more excited for our business.

I'm giving 4 stars because the first cocktail I ordered was SO SWEET that I couldn't get it down. I tried to drink it but had to send it back. We asked when we ordered about the flavor profile and supposedly it wasn't sweet, but all 3 of us agreed it was way oversweet. My black manhattan was phenomenal and my husband had a mocktail moscow mule that was awesome. Honestly, I make Creole / bbq shrimp at home and they're always MUCH better than what I got at The Darling. The service (with the exception of the lousy recommendation) was decent enough. From the moment I walked in, the vibe was intimate, beautiful, and the perfect setting for a relaxed Saturday night cap. What made the experience truly special was the bartender. There's no traditional menu, instead, he takes the time to learn what you like and crafts drinks based on your taste. I've never experienced anything like that before. The level of knowledge and creativity behind the bar was incredible. Every drink he made was stunning and tasted even better than it looked. I was honestly so impressed that I couldn't even remember all the ingredients he mentioned because I was too busy being amazed at how good everything was. It was one of those moments where you realize there are real levels to this craft. I walked in thinking I knew a thing or two about mixing drinks at home, and left with a whole new respect for the art of it. The atmosphere, the personal attention, and the quality of the cocktails made this place feel truly top tier. Huge shoutout to the bartender, easily a 15 out of 10. Cool, knowledgeable, and passionate about what he does. If you're looking for an intimate spot for date night or just want to experience thoughtfully crafted cocktails in a beautiful setting, the Annex is the place. Last Saint is a really cool dual concept cocktail bar. The front of Last Saint is more casual - small, cozy, allows walk-ins. But you can also make reservations (or try to get lucky walking in) at the Annex. The Annex is their weekends-only cocktail experience in the back of Last Saint. You walk to the back of the bar and press ring the bell by the yellow door. Someone answers and seats at one of six seats at the bar and three small (but private) tables. The Annex is a no-menu experience. The friendly and creative staff ask you questions about your preferences for drinks and then make you something that fits the bill. It was personal and fun, and we enjoyed all the drinks we had. A reservation at the Annex is good for a 1.5 hour time frame, which was perfect for us to have two drinks before closing out and heading to our dinner reservation. We sat at the bar, which I loved, because we got to chat with the staff and watch them make our and others' drinks while we enjoyed our creative cocktails. The staff have a wide knowledge of cocktails and an almost endless supply of ingredients to choose from when making your drinks. A truly fun experience. One I haven't had in any other city.
