We were in the mood for some sushi & fresh seafood and decided to check out The Longboard Restaurant located on Sullivan's Island. It was around four in the afternoon and to our delight they serve lunch until 5pm and also had Happy Hour specials. It is absolutely gorgeous in here. A beautiful space with coastal decor. Ideal for large groups & holiday makers. I strongly suggest making a booking in high season. I've seen the lines down the street in the height of summer. The dishes were absolutely delicious fresh & beautifully presented. Saylor was our server and she was attentive without being obtrusive, knowledgeable & helpful with the menu. She made our entire experience so much more enjoyable. Parking can be difficult on Sullivan's but The Longboard is definitely worth the hassle.

Went here with my family of 5 the night I moved in to Charleston! It is in such a cute spot on Sullivans island, walking distance to the beach and an ice cream shop and has the CUTEST coastal beachy vibe inside that was perfect after just moving to the beach. Our service was great, everyone was very friendly and helpful! She had great drinks recommendations and I loved my cocktail. The most disappointing aspect of this place was the food. We ordered a good amount of different things and everyone tried each others. The resounding response from everything we tried was that it was so SALTY. There were multiple items we couldn't even eat due to the salt. I can't remember the last time we had inedible food due to salt. On top of that, I do believe the food prices are very overpriced for the taste as well as the pretty tiny portions you receive. Because of this, I don't think we will be back to eat here. However, I do think this is a great spot to grab a few drinks! Great vibes and super fun looking cocktails. I will be back for drinks for sure. Just be aware of the appetizers, as those were also super salty. Maybe someone's salt shaker broke that evening, but still a pricey meal......

Went for brunch, the service was really great and so was the food. I got the breakfast fried rice, it was so good!

Yummy spot and had a great time with a big group of friends grabbing drinks and dinner here! Services was great and very accommodating. Everyone's food was good, but lacked a little flavor, however good enough I'd go back! Great spot after the beach!

This place is awesome. Service was fantastic for our huge group of 11 girls. The food was amazing and drinks off the charts! It wasn't cheap but definitely worth the price. I got the scallops which melted in my mouth. Lots of fun appetizers to pick from.

We stopped by for drinks after we visited the beach and they were great. It was pretty quiet the day we went so we spent a couple of hours there and servers were so nice. We got a couple of rounds of drinks and all of them were so good. The food looked great we just weren't hungry & overall aesthetic was cute and fun!

LOVE a Longboard happy hour! I live nearby and always take all of my guests here because the cocktails are so fantastic. I personally love their Heart & Sol which is a pineapple-serrano infused reposado tequila cocktail, but lately I have also been loving the Smoke Signal, a bourbon and mezcal concoction with spiced honey and bitters. Longboard has a great raw bar and delish sushi wraps which are also a fan favorite among my group! Plus the atmosphere is tough to beat - with ocean breezes blowing through the restaurant and a beach aesthetic, it's hard not to feel like you're on vacation!

Very cute restaurant with good quality.enjoyed various dishes to share and entrees. Some highlights included the octopus, oysters, and scallops. Really good flavoring and pairing. Food came out quickly and they even gave us welcome shots pre and post dinner. Was such a lovely experience- recommend

We are local and this was truthfully only Our second time eating at The Longboard. However, it was delicious and Lillian gave us excellent recommendations on cocktails and food! We will be back!

We came here for dinner and we had a great experience! The parking is very minimal so if you come on a busy night, just make sure you plan accordingly to find parking! There are many other restaurants and shops around so this area is busy! When we walked in, the hostess apologized and said they were running behind on their reservations and we did not mind waiting at all! Once we were seated, we were greeted by our waitress and put in our drink orders. She also gave us a carafe with water for the table. I got a mocktail and it was delicious! For dinner, I got the salmon poke bowl and my husband got the surf and turf with broccoli on the side! They were so delicious! So much flavor in both entrees! I love the decor on the inside and the heated patio! The bathrooms were clean and I love the size of the bar!

What a great way to end the Celebration Weekend - The Longboard does not disappoint. Between the seafood tower - baked oysters, raw oysters - grits and breakfast fried rice, there was a hushed silence at the table. Service for 12 can be wonky - staff handled perfectly. Sunday brunch is a must do when here at Sullivan's Island.

They are served with a mignonette, which isn't my favorite, I should have asked for cocktail sauce z but I just slurped them down "naked" and they were fabulous. We also had the hushpuppy tots - the butter these come with is the perfect compliment. Hubs had the Sullivan fried platter, so good, it includes fried green tomatoes - YUM! And coleslaw that reminds me of Jewish delis from my childhood, but finely shredded. I had the fish tacos which were swordfish today, the salsa on there is perfect with the fish. Cocktails were good and if you've ever been to the BVI, the best painkiller that's not there, they even use Pusser's Rum. I can't wait to go back to try more of the menu.

We have been to Sullivan's three times, and its been a very mixed experience. The one constant is…read moreservice that is often slow or poorly timed with the bar service being the biggest issue. There is a lot to love about this restaurant - location, an upscale/beachy/comfortable vibe and food that can be exceptional. We are big fans of the sister restaurant Post House where we regularly visit. It is a tale of two restaurants. The Post House executes with precision, service is exceptional and the food is unwaveringly wonderful. Not the same with Sullivan's Fish Camp. Execution inconsistent - On one visit, our food took 45 minutes (was 2/3 full at best and no-one outside) - We were given fries gratis in recognition of the wait. Even at that visit at the bar, it took too much time to get our drinks. A recent visit (3/11/26), it took 20 minutes to get our drink order, and our food arrived shortly after. The server was attentive and mostly sympathetic, but sort of dismissed it as normal. The principle reason for the 3 rating is a service rating of 2 over these visits. The food is generally exceptional. For this dinner, we had their roasted squash which was absolutely amazing. They were out of a few dishes. We had a special tile fish on a root purée and an arugula and mushroom topping that was exceptional... but just warm at best. Execute. Food could be a 5, but it is a 4. The good news it can be addressed!

There's something about the name "Acme" and good seafood when it comes to coastal restaurants…read more Along the Gulf, you think of Acme Oyster House. On the coastal Atlantic, we recommend Acme Low Country Kitchen. You get five-star food in a rustic setting that could benefit for a bit of a makeover -- but only a touch or two. Excellent service compliments the food. On our plate: The "Light: House, including sauteed shrimp, seared scallops and a house-made, fresh crab cake that comes with a caveat that a shell chip or two might be mixed (we call that authentication). All were perfectly prepared and ample sized. This wasn't a shrimp-and-chips drive-through; this was a meal. Our sides: Collards (this is the low country) and fried Brussel sprouts, again well prepared. Price: $38.25 and among the higher-priced items on the seafood-heavy menu but worth it. Others in our party, including two non seafood eaters, chose the pecan fried chicken (two breast with one each going home because of the size) with another going with the Carolina Duo of the chicken and short ribs. Will we return? Yes. There are other options we've yet to try as our visits to Charleston increase but this was a real treat. Even better, it is near the fabled Dingy beach bar where we ducked in to watch the Kentucky Derby. We could spend our retirement years at The Dingy but that's another review to come. Acme is a 4.5-star review with the only points shaved because it just needs a little updating (after the season, perhaps). The food and service more than make up for it.

We walked in and the place was emptier than a church on a Wednesday night, yet somehow we were told to head on over to the bar, wait for a table, and go ahead and order ourselves a drink. Didn't make much sense, but we did as we were told. Then we stood there a good 10 minutes while the bartender, who let us know he's studying to be a dentist up in Spartanburg, was busy chatting away with another customer like we weren't even there. When he finally got around to us, it felt like we were more of an inconvenience than paying customers. But the real kicker came after we finally got our drinks. The manager came up, and I kid you not, told us we had to leave the restaurant and go out to the parking lot to finish them. No explanation, just attitude, and not a polite one either. To be honest, the manager seemed like she might have had a little too much Easter spirit, if you catch my drift. The whole interaction was downright combative and made us feel completely unwelcome. What really got me, though, was the poor hostesses and waitstaff. They apologized to us over and over and quietly let us know this kind of situation is something they deal with on a daily basis. We even heard her speaking sharply to another customer, which made it clear this wasn't just a one time issue. Honestly, the whole experience felt like a bad trip to the dentist and cost about the same as a root canal. All in all, it was a mess from start to finish, rude, confusing, and about as un Southern hospitality as you can get. I would think twice before going back, y'all.
