We visited on Monday afternoon. We were seated quickly and was checked on multiple times. After not too long, we were the only guests there, but the food was a hit. Chill spot with a good amount of seating, They also have a bar section with bar seats as well if you just want to grab some drinks. Great portions and great food. We had the main street margherita flatbread, the fish and chips, and the mussels. Great variety and options of delicious food. The margherita flat bread was the first to go. It was destroyed. We all loved it. The pesto, the cheese, the crust, it was all amazing and delicious. We also loved the fish and chips. it was well fried and crispy. Amazing food, amazing service. read more

Interesting concept. Bar vibe downstairs, regular dining restaurant upstairs. The wines are pretty decent and the food is good too. Playful names for most of the wines make for a memorable time. Servers are very friendly as well. I tried the Poke Bowl for my entire and both the wishful thinking and playful pink wines. read more

Perfect lunch and even better people to top it off! I had lunch this past weekend with my mom and daughter and the fish sandwich was perfection! What topped it off... I didn't realize I left my credit card behind...and I got a message in my Facebook account from the General Manager Blaine, letting me know they had my card. Thank you to Blaine and thank you for the delicious lunch! read more

I was disappointed in the food at this place. We had heard that the Beef Ribs were excellent so that is what one son and I ordered. It was not to our taste. It was nothing but gobs of fat in our bowls over mashed potatoes. Hardly any meat, tasted a little sweet. I was told the veggies would be squash, zucchini and broccoli when I asked what veggies come with it. Well, no broccoli or squash, they used eggplant. I HATE eggplant. So really I had about two bites of meat and a little mashed potatoes with two pieces of zuchini. We both intensely disliked it. Not to mention we didn't realize it would all be served together, meat on top of mashed potatoes in a bowl with the veggies mixed in. We don't like making a scene so we ate it in silence with me leaving half my bowl full of the fat and the eggplant. We had ordered a charcuterie board to share, so I ate a good portion of that as my main dinner. Also, the portion of food for the price was not a lot. The bowls were kind of small. The price is very expensive. $200 for four people. I gave it three stars because my meal may not have been to my satisfaction but my other son loved his lamb burger-otherwise it may have gotten two stars. I'm not sure if I will try it again. Probably not. First impressions can really make a difference. One glass of wine was $16 dollars here when they are around $8 dollars everywhere else so we paid $32 dollars for 10 ounces of wine. Maybe because it is downtown on Market Street? It was a little too expensive for sub-par food in our opinion. The one day I decided to eat Gluten and it was a meal not worthy of my pain that I always experience after. The Vibe of the place was nice. Rustic yet elegant. Nice tables with tablecloths. I loved the atmosphere. Just wish the food was better. Can't say I'd recommend it if you are visiting Charleston. There are too many other great places downtown to try. But who knows, you may like it if you try the burger. Or if you like fat.. by all means get the beef ribs. My son ate his fat.. he said if he didn't eat the fat he wouldn't have had much of a supper. But he can tolerate fat. I cannot. read more

Wine lovers, run far way from here. Don't let the name fool you, this is just another party joint on Market - for a business with "Vineyard" in the name, there are precious few wines available (5 on menu, but the one I wanted was not on hand). Second choice was undrinkable, and I have to assume the first would have disappointed as well. If you want good wine, look elsewhere, like maybe an actual wine bar. Also made the mistake of ordering the "charcuterie" plate, easily the sloppiest, greasiest, mystery-meatiest abomination I've ever had the displeasure of sampling. Service was, I guess...serviceable, in that my order was brought to me in a reasonable amount of time, considering the essentially empty bar. But not one followup - and I sat at the bar! - nor any questions about why I was leaving with an untouched plate and nearly full glass. Seems like a caring staff might have inquired. One star is probably one too many for this place, unless you just want to pound a few shots and watch TV. read more

Met up with a friend at the Market and needed a break from the tourist chaos, so we slipped into Well Hung Vineyard and it was exactly the escape I needed. The bar area was quiet and practically empty, which made it the perfect little hideaway. I ordered the charcuterie board, which comes with three meats and three cheeses. Everything was nicely presented, though I could've done without the smoked sausage, it felt a bit too heavy for the board. The bacon jam was delicious, and the bartender brought me a side of honey Dijon mustard, which ended up being the perfect pairing. Service was friendly and attentive, and the charcuterie definitely hit the spot. For being right on the Market, this place is a great refuge from the hustle and bustle. Perfect if you need a breather and a good bite. read more

I came here with a couple of friends for a small birthday celebration. Boy is this place out in the cut! I got a fabulous short rib brunch dish, that was to die for. I would come back for that alone! Well, I don't drink, so that's really the only thing to draw me back here. Our server was friendly and funny and we had a great time with her! She was just attentive enough without being overbearing. She gave great recommendations and was really honest about the items she preferred and why. I appreciate that! I always ask what is your favorite dish, and most servers will say the _________ is really popular! I don't care what's popular, I want to know your opinion I may not come here regularly, but I would definitely come back for another occasion! read more

After a full day of easing two determined Southern matriarchs through the cobblestones of Charleston's old district and the shoulder-to-shoulder shuffle of the City Market, we declared a ceasefire. History is best appreciated in small doses, preferably with ice and a salted rim. So we ducked in for what was meant to be "just one." The drinks arrived with names that sounded like they'd been workshopped during a long happy hour and approved by someone with a wicked sense of humor. Campy? Absolutely. Effective? Without question. My wife and her mother laughed for a solid hour, which is cheaper than therapy and pairs nicely with bourbon. The food didn't hide behind the punchlines. It showed up ready to play. Fresh, flavorful, and generous enough to make you forget you'd been power-walking past sweetgrass baskets all afternoon. Service? Spot on. Blaine knew the menu, knew the drinks, and--more importantly--knew how to read a table that had logged 12,000 steps and needed kindness more than complexity. Attentive without hovering. Helpful without lecturing. A rare talent. The décor leaned into the joke and committed to it. When a place knows what it is and embraces it, you relax. And after a day of navigating Charleston traffic and family opinions, relaxing is a victory. Well worth the effort. We arrived tired, thirsty, and slightly overstimulated. We left smiling. And that, my friends, is the whole point read more

A cute little wine restaurant in the marketplace area of Charleston. Well Hung has a refreshing assortment of cool and frozen drinks, and Well Hung branded wine. We experienced fast and friendly service. Our food was fantastic! The frozen cherry lemonade was refreshing especially on this 95 degree Charleston afternoon. We picked up food from this restaurant on our most recent trip to Charleston. We arrived late to our hotel in the French Quarter and wanted to pick up food nearby. Saw the excellent reviews of this restaurant, so we gave it a chance. We picked up a She Bisque soup and Cajun Chicken & Andouille Pasta. The atmosphere when I arrived to pick up the food was vibrant. The restaurant seemed to be short staffed, so I got my meal later than expected. The She Bisque soup lacked the velvety creaminess I expected. The pasta did have a decent spice kick. However, because of the excess of residual oil, the overall experience felt heavy rather than flavorful. This was a fairly standard, average experience. read more

This place was so much fun! We were in Charleston for a quick stay before heading to Orlando. We were exploring the city when this group came out with these frozen bags of wine telling us we should go in and try them! So, we did. We shared the watermelon mint and it was delicious. The name of the winery is hilarious, so my husband ended up buying a shirt. We would definitely go back and taste their wine. read more

This place never disappoints. They were having a large event upstairs so the manager/ bartender (awesome guy) set us up downstairs near the bar. It was nice and private and quiet actually. We had the slushy flight which is always good. Three of us got the short rib and it never disappoints. The flavors are incredible. Second time to Charleston and second time to Well Hung. We'll come again! read more

Great dinner! Amazing burger. Charcuterie nachos were just alright. The server wasn't amazing, but not bad at all. The place is adorable. I kinda felt like I was in Greece. If I could give it three and a half stars, I would. It gets rounded up because of how good the burger was. read more

We had lunch on the patio. One had shrimp and grits and they were phenomenal. Shrimp was cooked perfectly, nice light gravy and fluffy grits with unbelievable sausage. The other 3 shared a charcuterie board that was great. Sausage, bacon jam and prosciutto were to die for.! Wine flights were very nice and we bought a bottle to take home. Our server was excellent and was attentive but not overboard. Definitely a great place to return to next time we're in the area. read more

Service was good and the ambiance is casual. My friends ordered the flights and liked being able to taste a few different options. For our meal, we all got a variety of dishes and enjoyed our entree. We shared the charcuterie - I'm not gonna lie, the sausage threw me off a bit but was tasty lol. The bacon jam is to die for, I love bacon jam and so was excited that it came with it. My short ribs were soooooo good. So filling and hearty and I would like to try to make my own version at home! I will be coming back and it's a great place for those who like to sample different wines. read more

We came for Sunday evening dinner and left with our bellies full and our palates pleasantly stimulated. We sat upstairs on the open porch overlooking the market and catching beautiful sunsets. The food was amazing! We ordered a charcuterie board and received a massive display of perfection. (Be sure to check out my pictures.) A variety of interesting bites creating flavor combinations to keep your palate happy. We washed it all down with not one but two wine flights. I mean, hey, we wanted both red and white. Decided to try the flatbread pizzas, and they did not disappoint. Can't wait to go back and explore more of the menu! (I've actually been back just getting around to my review.) Be sure to grab a wine slushie on the way out! It's the perfect parting gift! Well Hung Vineyard, you served us well! Our server was amazing and very attentive. Below is a list of what we ordered. Our bartender here was great and helped us decide on which wine flight to choose based on his favorites and what we were looking for. We also ordered espresso martinis to follow and they were so good! The Caesar salad was delicious and made with homemade croutons! Yum! We didn't order a charcuterie board but a table near us did and it looked beautiful. Well Hung had really good food, a relaxed atmosphere and good service. We were walking around the market in Charleston and were looking for a good lunch spot without having to wait too long. They were able to seat us quickly. We ordered chicken and waffles which was very good (10/10). It had a nice balance of sweet and savory. We also ordered shrimp and grits with Cajun seasoning and sausage. This also had great taste with a some good spice (9/10). Our group also order a flatbread which was good (8/10) and a wine slushy flight which had four different flavors (6/10) What to expect when you enter the restaurant... There is a nice bar on the right with some tables and plenty of bar seating, and on the left there are steps to the upstairs. There plenty of tables inside along with some outside seats. I highly recommend Well Hung. We would definitely return. read more

The short rib hash was pretty good although it was a little heavy on the onion side (ate some of it already in the pic because the meat was completely buried under.) Meat was tender, peppers cooked perfectly, and the caramelization from the onion mountain did end up benefiting the all the components. All the food plating looks amazing! Every dish is mouth watering to look at and beautiful. Definitely a classy appeal. They have a respectable wine and cocktail selection, including several wine flight options as well wine "slushies" to-go in a drinkable pouch. Our waiter, John, was great and managed to give us service frequently despite it being very, very busy during the Disney villain drag brunch. They have a monthly drag brunch, which was a fun experience. It was pretty packed in the small 2nd floor dining area, but not uncomfortably so. Depending on the group size, you might end up sharing a table, but everyone's pretty invested in the show. They were even able to serve every table during the performances. I highly recommend! I'm looking forward to trying out the dinner too. read more
