    Scallops as an entree

Another friendly and warm staff with a comfortable and inviting dining venue. There's a real effort here to make sure you have everything you need, and they are top of making you feel welcome. The seafood was very well done as was the special soup. While many have said they love the lasagna (which is why I ordered it) in their reviews I found it to be un-original and a huge disappointment. It was pretty much just some layered noodles with a crumbly Bolognese layered in between. There was little to no bechamel nor cheese other than on top. Either someone made it wrong or this recipe is a fail; if you are a fan of lasagna, I can all but assure you that you'll be disappointed.

Very sneakily becoming some of my favorite food in Charleston. Their entrees are next level good. Coming here this time has solidified my confidence that I can always get a good meal here. The grilled yellowfin tuna (I could pick the rareness which I liked) knocked my socks off. It was paired with wasabi mashed potatoes and edamame mango salad. One of the best and unique meals I've had in Charleston in a minute. Also the ambience in here is great! Feels like a cozy house. The service is very personable and kind. Please don't skip out on this place!

Very underrated spot on Sullivans Island. You can usually get seated without much of a wait, which is hard to find around here. The lasagna is great, but my go-to is the lamb meatloaf. Inside, it has a cozy, welcoming vibe, the patio is a nice option, and the waitstaff is always super friendly.

Every visit is consistent and high quality. Best service on SI from the greeting of the host through the service of the meal. Last night (1May) was non exception. Suzanne was exceptional including food and wine suggestions. Service was well paced and food served hot. Everyone is working together at High Thyme to create a great experience. Bonus was a meal on the deck with perfect weather. The food is always exceptional with imaginative specials. On this night. We enjoyed a shrimp pasta special that was fresh, well balanced with garlic, butter and red pepper. I had the tilefish special that included a generous portion perfectly cooked on top of grits with a creamy bean accompaniment. We enjoyed a tangy key lime pie for desert.

What a treasure! This restaurant has great people, fabulous food and a relaxed upscale front porch atmosphere. It was our first time BUT it will Not be our last!

Dinner on Sullivans Island at High Thyme was great, mostly thanks to our amazing waitress. She was so friendly and made the whole night feel special. The food was fantastic, but her kindness really stood out.

Oh how I love High Thyme Cuisine on Sullivans Island! Emily, Andy and the rest of the gang are always so nice and go out of their way to make you feel welcomed. Lately I have just been popping in for some small plates and a cocktail or two, or even wine when it's 1/2 price wine night! It's the perfect amount of food and always delicious. Pictured are the following: *Seared Scallops atop Herb Garlic & Parmesan Riced Cauliflower, Arugula, Balsamic Reduction *Lamb Meatballs with Rosemary Tomato Sauce, Parmesan, Herb Oil, Sourdough bread *Some 1/2 off veltliner wine * Baked Four Cheese Cauliflower Dip Grilled Pita, Italian Olives (my favorite thing on the menu) *A perfectly prepared extra dirty Martini from Andy!

Lively bar - Jessie behind the bar is the best. Food was insane. I want to eat this every day. Great service!

I can't wait to come back just to end up trying everything else on the menu! We got here a little after 5 since they open at 5 and it's first come first served, no reservations. We got outdoor seating which I highly recommend especially with this amazing weather. You feel like you're on someone's front porch, getting the views of everything going on on the Main Street! They had a great cocktail list and great options for wine and beer. I was also surprised at the prices, definitely thought it'd be pricier for the high quality of food! This will definitely be one of our new coveted date night spots. My husband ordered the special of the day and kept talking about how well seasoned and cooked the steak was and how perfectly creamy the potatoes were. See my pictures to see everything we ordered!

This place is fantastic! Service is impeccable, as was the food. Expect to wait but grab a drink & sit outside. It's worth the wait! Best meal we had in our 3 days in Charleston!

Excellent food in a laidback, cozy setting with friendly Southern service. And, man, the desserts!

The Risotto. I added scallops. So good!

They are served with a mignonette, which isn't my favorite, I should have asked for cocktail sauce z but I just slurped them down "naked" and they were fabulous. We also had the hushpuppy tots - the butter these come with is the perfect compliment. Hubs had the Sullivan fried platter, so good, it includes fried green tomatoes - YUM! And coleslaw that reminds me of Jewish delis from my childhood, but finely shredded. I had the fish tacos which were swordfish today, the salsa on there is perfect with the fish. Cocktails were good and if you've ever been to the BVI, the best painkiller that's not there, they even use Pusser's Rum. I can't wait to go back to try more of the menu.

We have been to Sullivan's three times, and its been a very mixed experience. The one constant is…read moreservice that is often slow or poorly timed with the bar service being the biggest issue. There is a lot to love about this restaurant - location, an upscale/beachy/comfortable vibe and food that can be exceptional. We are big fans of the sister restaurant Post House where we regularly visit. It is a tale of two restaurants. The Post House executes with precision, service is exceptional and the food is unwaveringly wonderful. Not the same with Sullivan's Fish Camp. Execution inconsistent - On one visit, our food took 45 minutes (was 2/3 full at best and no-one outside) - We were given fries gratis in recognition of the wait. Even at that visit at the bar, it took too much time to get our drinks. A recent visit (3/11/26), it took 20 minutes to get our drink order, and our food arrived shortly after. The server was attentive and mostly sympathetic, but sort of dismissed it as normal. The principle reason for the 3 rating is a service rating of 2 over these visits. The food is generally exceptional. For this dinner, we had their roasted squash which was absolutely amazing. They were out of a few dishes. We had a special tile fish on a root purée and an arugula and mushroom topping that was exceptional... but just warm at best. Execute. Food could be a 5, but it is a 4. The good news it can be addressed!

The back opens up to another bar with outdoor seating, very cool. The bartender out back took our drinks, I forgot her name but she was from California originally, La Jolla area? Anyways, very friendly and was attentive even with all the guests in need. We hung out for hours, meeting locals and enjoying drinks. Decided to order food and they had a cheese dip that was spot on. My wife ordered the steak salad and the steak was overcooked, but when asked how things were, they were quick to make it right, and brought out another steak to fix the issue. 5 stars! I hope they see this review and know that they are doing something right. I do wish they had better merch. I wanted to buy stuff but was told their shirts shrink quite a bit after washing. Bummer.

A group of about 8 of us went out for drinks Saturday (5/2/26). We were having a great time (respectful, quiet, not causing a problem). Last call hit at 1:30 so we decided one more drink before we went our ways home. 10 mins later we're were asked to leave the courtyard and head inside - not a problem. We will finish our drinks inside. 5 minutes after that, we were asked to take our last sips and leave. 15 mins before the posted closing time. Again, we weren't causing a problem, weren't loud, weren't disruptive. This was a group of 8, most of us well into our 40s (or older). But they were telling all guests to leave at 1:45a?? Just after we bought drinks? The posted hours say they close at 2a. Not 1:45a. Most of us left half finished drinks. The large bouncer was nice enough, the tiny one in a hoodie with glasses was totally unprofessional. So beware. The Blind Tiger has what it takes to remain a Charleston institution. Their staff, might ruin that chance.
