Not a good experience yesterday 10/10/25 I was OVERCHARGED. A woman was the server. The first 2 beers was 17.06. The second order was 2 of the same beers and was charged 23.06. Explain why I was charged $6 more for the same 2 beers? Not returning to this establishment!!!!!! read more

I really like the new owners but question their hours of operations. They are now closing at 8pm, even on weekends. I understand it is your bar, you bought it. But it is a neighborhood establishment and you are taking it away. What I fear will happen is that the business won't survive on 5 open hours per day and you will be forced to sell it and then some chiropractor (or some other lame business) will move in and we'll have nothing left. Also, it was pretty embarrassing. We have out of state visitors and we're going to go to drafty and ardoa on a Friday night. We got there at 8:15 and the place was dark and locked shut on a beautiful Friday night. It is a bar. read more

This is a great little beer place in Mount P. They have a good number (32?? Can't remember exactly!) beers on tap - local as well as some I wasn't familiar with (Can ya believe that?). Service was quick and cheerful! It's on the small side, but still had what seemed like ample room to find a spot. About 6 or 8 spots at the bar, a number of tables, and some outside seating as well. We Just had one and sat outside which was pleasant. They also had some live music coming on outside on the Friday we stopped by and a number of chairs set up for that, but we just had the one and were on our way to our next stop. I see this place becoming a regular stop for me. It's in a convenient location, is on my way home, and has a ton of craft brews. It's a no frills draught beer lover's spot. No liquor, no food (except pretzels and beef jerky), and no bottled beers... just 26 taps of liquid gold. They have a special of $5 pints or $5 flights all the time. The growler prices vary based on size and beer obviously but were very reasonable. When you walk in you're greeted by a brand new custom wood bar with trees going through up to the ceiling. Most of the seating is bar stools but you'll find a few tables as well. They have a few TV' on the walls and a shuffleboard game to keep everyone entertained... as if beer isn't entertaining enough. The guy working (sorry you're name slipped my mind) was knowledgeable about the brews without coming off as a beer snob. Although I can sometimes be one myself, it's a big turnoff to newbies walking into a place and get the "you don't know what you're talking about" guy. I ordered a flight to try out a few different beers at once. While I was there they added a couple beers to the list that they just got in and they let me taste those too. I ended up falling in love with the Boulder Brewing Mojo Risin 2x IPA and walked out with a growler to-go for an oyster roast I was heading to that evening. Sadly I drank it all myself and didn't share it with anyone. They had a pretty decent selection and said they always try to offer a root-beer and cider at all times. No local brews on tap but, I'm guessing that will change down the line. They haven't even had their grande opening yet so they have some room to grow. The bartender mentioned they'll be doing events like tap takeovers and such in the near future so hopefully they will be able to get some rare finds and exclusive brews on the wall as well. I enjoyed my first visit and am looking forward to a return trip. I now have a new reason to head over to the Seaside Farms plaza that will keep me coming back for more. Next time I'll remember to keep a growler in my trunk 'cause I've got to stop buying those damn things. read more

Nice little meetup spot for pre-dinner drinks or just to hang out. I was VERY impressed with the beer list until the first 3 things I requested were all tapped out. The bartender was helpful in finding replacements and I was ultimately happy with my flight. I was also not super excited that the flight consisted of four glasses that were not easy to transport altogether; most places have a paddle or some other contraption that helps you move the glasses from the counter to your table. Other than that little hiccup, this place was super cute. There were a few tables inside and a few outside that could hold the masses, plus plenty of room to stand at the bar. I would definitely come back to meet up with friends. read more

If I could give less than one star I would. This was my favorite bar in Charleston then the new management took over. Customer service was poor. New ownership seemed lost on all aspects of the business. Quality dropped and isn't anywhere what it was. read more

They tend to close shop early and on many occasions when we've wanted a nightcap, they were already closed. Not the worst thing in the world but kind of disappointing. Other positives though: Crafty Draught fits right in with the Mt P/CHS dog friendly culture - not only on the patio but we had the pleasure of bringing our pups inside to socialize. My buddy who lives in this complex always drags me out here. Which in a way, I don't mind. Crafty Draught is a good bar in the Mt Pleasant area especially if you look at other options near 17 for happy hour. It's a bit tucked away but that's part of it's charm. Crafty Draught offers a variety, as one might expect, of craft beers. A lot of them you can't even find anywhere. The reason why I'm not giving a perfect rating, is because I became a spoiled person in Charleston. Meaning that I enjoy happy hour, which they don't have. Also, what I think is odd. No food is served. I think they get away with that by offering Holy City Popcorn. The atmosphere is comparable to a dive bar. Everybody knows (or wants to know) everybody. Came here with some coworkers after work to grab a quick beer. This place is tiny and almost hard to find in the large shopping area that it's in. Atmosphere is very casual, there is indoor and outdoor seating along a walkway with some bistro tables and some picnic tables. There is a large chalkboard where the beers are listed by number. I was unsure on what I wanted, the guy behind the counter was nice about letting me try a few suggestions to see what suits me best. They have popcorn and some small snacks you can buy and I believe that I saw a sign for warm pretzels as well. If I am in the area I would stop by again, the atmosphere was inviting and the staff was friendly. My coworker got the sampler and I was surprised to see no paddle was provided for the multiple smaller drinks he had, he wasn't able to carry all 4 outside in one trip so he had to go back in a second time to bring out his other two glasses of beer. If I had to make a suggestion it would be for patrons to have some way to carry their beer outside in one shot. read more

We recently hosted an event (pre-wedding happy hour) at Crafty Draught and it was an incredible experience. The owners were so incredibly kind and helpful! When we mentioned we were looking for an event space via Instagram messages, they were so accommodating. Not only were they quick to respond, great with communication, and more than fair with pricing, they took the time to meet us in person before our event to talk about our vision and were there the day of our event before the bar even opened to help with set up. I love this place. Beer is good people are great. I recommend getting a growler or two for the road. Beers are always on rotation so make sure you talk to the staff for their recomendations if you don't see exactly what you want at first. They are always really cool about giving samples if you are still not sure. I wouldn't call this place cheap but I don't think it's over priced at all. I've never walked out of here without being totally happy. Lucky I live less than a block away!! read more

Very good selection of beers. Two of us came in on a Thursday around 7pm and there seemed to be several regulars spaced out across the bar with lots of free seats but no two together. We stood for a full 5 minutes waiting for the bartender to acknowledge us (even though he was just chatting, not serving) and instead of any patrons or the bartender asking even one person to make room for us they stared at us awkwardly until we went and sat at a table. Very unwelcoming environment. With that said, it's a cute place with good music and tasty beer... But we won't be back if we're ever in the area. read more

I had a really bad experience at this bar last night. I was meeting friends there and I was shocked to find a good friend who is a calm, mature person arguing with the bartender about whether he has to pay for sample of beer, whether they carry European beers, and whether the bartender needs to hold his credit card behind the bar. I know that some smaller bars require you to hold a credit card, but this bartender was just plain nasty. The bartender said in a really nasty voice "I have one rule don't be an asshole and you're being an asshole!" My friend was being polite and asking simple questions. I will never ever go back to this bar, and I will encourage everyone I know to not go as well. You should not go to this bar! read more

I guess I should preface this review and 2 star rating with the fact that as a female, Crafty Draught is definitely a dude's kind of a place. It was a little hard to find and we ended up having to call to get directions when we got to the shopping center. The guy was very nice and helpful and told us where the best parking was. The place is pretty tiny, with a small bar and a handful of tables. They somehow managed to squeeze a shuffleboard into one side. I love to play but it seemed like it would have been an intrusion upon the people who were sitting right next to it at the bar. The bartender was very nice and was able to answer the questions we had about different beers. I opted for the craft root beer they were offering. The flavor was nice but it was flat. My boyfriend was happy with his saison which I managed to sneak a couple of sips off of. The overall selection was decent, if you don't mind paying upwards of $9/pint, but they seemed to be out of several options. We considered staying for a 2nd drink but the fact that they don't offer much in the way of food, only prepackaged beef jerky or pretzels, we decided to move on. For being a tiny place that specializes in craft beers I thought it would have more character going on but the atmosphere seemed rather dull and flat. Potentially it's a good place to grab a growler of beer to go, but not a place I would want to hang out. I'm not against going back sometime to see if they make improvements but I'm definitely not going to go out of my way to do so. read more

This place has a ton of local brews on draft. Reasonable prices for a great selection. They do not have food, but they allow you to bring in whatever you want. We ordered a pizza last time and this time we brought in Crave Mac & Cheese (Crave is walking distance away). The absolute BEST part about this place is that is dog friendly! We bring our little pup everytime, they allow him to come inside as well, so no issues if it's raining. Keep up the good work guys! read more

This was the last event for the Yelps on Tap event/festival, and my first visit in general so this review may be a little subjective. The bar has quite a few local craft beers from which to choose, and they are hand written on a huge wall length chalk board for easy rotation. The staff were very friendly and accommodating of our large group and allowed us to pretty much take over! There is inside and outdoor seating available and plenty of parking close by. Centrally located in Mt Pleasant, and convenient if you're shopping in Seaside Farms. They don't sell food, but you are welcome to bring in something from elsewhere. read more

After grabbing a little dinner appeteaser at the hotel, I strolled across the street for some adult beverage consumption, as I am wont to do. Small little place. About 15 bar stools line the L shaped bar. A TV was playing the Blue Jays Indians game, which, in my opinion, is a snooze fest. Not really a baseball fan though. The place was mostly empty except one other dude and the bartender. The draft list was up on the chalkboard and, although quantitative, wasn't exactly qualitative. A bunch of run of the mill stuff with the only interesting beers being a Peach Habanero IPA and a Viking Scottish Sour, whatever the hell that is. There is either no A/C or it wasn't working cause it was hot and sticky in there. Not a bad place. Not much else going on in the area so it's a good place to stop. read more

Stopped by for a nightcap after my Untappd app said it was within walking distance. There were over 20 beers on tap and many were from local breweries. The bartender was a fellow Army vet and was very knowledgeable on the local craft brew scene. The prices are good and the 80s music was a plus. Great joint! read more
