We stop in for a beer late Sunday night and decided to sit at the bar. I love getting this dish. It always hits the spot. We each had a beer and the atmosphere was right on spot. The music was a good vibe for the night. The bar tender and all the staff were friendly and were talking with customers like they were old friends. It's a great local stop to go and visit. If you blink you may miss it but worth the stop.

We found this place after where we originally planned to eat had an hour + wait. I no longer want to eat at that other place. I had the shrimp and grits and they may be the best I've EVER had! There was a creamy, smoky sauce with perfectly cooked shrimp and stone ground grits. I'd travel here again just to eat this. Hubby had the cheesesteak and really enjoyed it. We also each had a cocktail. Mine was the pineapple margarita, hubby had the strawberry basil smash. Both were very yummy. It's a little dark inside, just pub-like, but not like we had to use our flashlights to read the menu. Service was extremely nice and very attentive without being pushy at all. Can't wait to come back!

One word. BURGERS! Go get one right now. I didn't get to try one myself, but my SO did, and so did the table behind us and they looked absolutely, mouthwateringly amazing. We were looking for a quick spot to grab some lunch on the way out of town, and pulled up some highly rated faves on Yelp. Thanks for the yelp Community, we found this little gem! On arrival, we ended up sitting on the side with the bar, and the waitress working the bar ended up helping as our designated waitress was otherwise occupied with a very large table. I ended up getting fish and chips, which was really good with no regrets. We heard the table behind us talking about the burgers after we ordered and anxiously awaited his burger to come out. He was not disappointed. It was cooked perfectly and generously topped. We were very impressed, and a little disappointed we didn't live closer. If I did, this would be a regular.

After a long day of getting the house in order for the contractors of the day, we decided to hit somewhere for a quick, come as you are bite.,Coleman Public House appeared to fit the bill. Dressed as we were, we hit the spot about 2:40 or 3:30, whichever was 30 minutes off the happy hour mark. No problem. We were welcomed warmly when we told them of our relocation and first visit. Alex was our server and she was great! We got the Southern burger and the fried shrimp platter! ( hey!! Supervision of construction or in this case wallpapering can be taxing!) Loved that you can order what temp you want your burger ! As I get older, I'm more careful with that but as a youngster in my heart, I appreciated that option. Fried green tomatoes and sauce were a perfect complement to the hefty burger! I kept taking another bite because of that sauce! Shrimp platter was fine and even the crab hush puppies had great flavor, but they had been clearly precooked earlier and as a result, they wound up being burnt. They were hot though, as were the fries. Liked the tartar sauce and I'm picky about that. Drinks were delicious. Why would I return? The food was quite good, but the staff made we feel welcome in a way that reassured me that we had made a great decision. This is so funny, but I will be a supporter for life. Amber came over and knew we were in the process of buying a new home. Haven't moved yet from Florida so we have been drinking out of bottles and red solo cups. Look what we came home with.Lol, I am home!

We chose Coleman Public House based on their outstanding Yelp reviews, and they absolutely lived up to the hype! One thing that immediately stood out was that they were open late on a Sunday. We arrived around 8 PM, which was incredibly convenient, and since the restaurant wasn't crowded, we were seated right away. Our server (I unfortunately don't remember her name, she was blonde and incredibly friendly) provided what was probably the best service we experienced during our entire trip. She was attentive, welcoming, and made excellent recommendations. We ordered the 2x California Burger, chicken sandwich, a gyro, side salads (they put the dressing on the salads, it was actually the perfect amount for me, but just be warned, ask for it on the side if you want to add it yourself), and a cheesesteak. The gyro (I got lamb) was recommended by our server, and it did not disappoint! Everything was fantastic, but the burgers deserve special recognition. Whoever was working the grill that night deserves a raise. Hands down, the best burger we had on our entire trip. The seasoning was perfect, the patties were thick and juicy, and they had an amazing char that took them to the next level. We also upgraded to the Aloha Fries, which were a great addition and definitely worth trying. From the outstanding food to the exceptional service, Coleman Public House exceeded our expectations in every way. We'll definitely be back because there are still so many items on the menu we want to try. The place was clean, could use a little update/refresh with paint and small things...but I come for the food first and foremost. Seriously, give this place a shot, you won't regret it. Yum!

Best staff and service of the various establishments we've visited so far on this year. Everyone is so friendly and helpful. Whatever you ask for or modify is brought in a timely manner and remembered in the ordering process. This might be a "simple" fish and chips/burger joint, but they don't miss a beat. Keisha was our server, and I'd suggest asking for her if you stop by the venue. The food is fresh and there's not much more that I can say other than everyone liked their meals and there wasn't one negative comment! The homemade tartar sauce has a nice tang and the garlic on the fries was delicious!

After pur ft Sumter tour, we came here pre-dinner drinks and intended to share a small plate for we had dinner plans a little later. But we end up ordering food. House Caesar dressing was good but wished the romaine were crisper. Glad I added fried shrimp on my salad -were fresh and tasted sweet n clean! Burger my hubby ordered was too well-done but still tasted good. Hubby had Hefeweizen he said was so good he gave me a taste, I agree! And he is not a beer drinker, err, no more, in a long while! Service was adequate and friendly, typical bar with seating, simple but could tell get busy as we saw to go orders go out like crazy, which explained why our order took longer than expected. In a strip mall and friendly vibe! Nice neighborhood grub!

Husband got the charbroiled pimento cheeseburger and raved about how great it was! I ordered the veggie sandwich and for my side chose mac & cheese without bacon. I will have to say this is probably the best mac & cheese. I have found in the area! We will definitely be back for the mac & cheese! Appetizer was the spinach and artichoke dip with warm pitas. Very yummy! Nice atmosphere with outdoor seating & a good sized beer menu. Drink menu seems nice with lots of great choices. Service was a great!!

If you are looking for a place to be relax and have a quick late lunch. This is it!! It reminded me to a place where everyone knows each other. The service was great and with great customer/attention to detail. Shout out to Ashton who did a fantastic job. He helped us to navigate the menu making suggestions upon our request. We ordered the Mac N Cheese, Asian Ribs as appetizers. Honestly, I would have the ribs as main dish since it was so good and tender. In addition, we ordered Lamb Gyro and Barnyard Burger. The meal was delicious and what can I say, we ordered dessert, carrot cake, and it was delicious. We noticed a lot of the people/clients knew each other as they were calling themselves by names. We liked it and definitely will return.

    Barbeque Burger

Amazing service, amazing food. The best we had our whole trip. We were tempted to only eat here the rest of the trip. Aloha fries are a must

Pimento Cheese BLT, Truffle Parmesan Fries

The truffle fries were amazing! I enjoyed the beer selection and the bartender was very friendly. I ordered the pimento cheese BLT which was good except it had too much pimento cheese and not enough bacon. Still a great and very filling meal.

Southern style burger with Greek salad

Clean and organized place with friendly and attentive service, which open on the later side than most restaurants in the area! The foods were prepared and seasoned well. Boy oh boy, I am glad that I ordered their shrimp Po' boy sandwich with generous amount of Parmesan and truffle oil fries! It was so good, the shrimps were crispy on the outside and juicy inside with creamy sauce on top and some fresh salads in between the sandwich! I literally cleaned up the plate, even though I was not really hungry to start with. The Southern burger comes with fried green tomatoes, which I thought was clever and also delicious! It comes with a substitute of fresh Greek salad and good salad dressing instead of regular fries for extra a few dollars and was worth it! A good spot for delicious dinner in the area

We ended up getting a couple dozen oysters, smoked fish dip and crispy tuna rice. Oysters were fresh and nicely chilled, tuna rice was well seasoned and the fish dip was ok, didn't have any smoky flavor or element to it and lacked in flavor. We ended up moving back down with our friends who had dogs so they ordered from the regular menu. The server was very accommodating and friendly. We had to try the Apple Pie shots since everyone seems to talk about them. This is way more complex than some apple flavor liquor. The ingredients take some prep work, and the result is something that literally tastes like apple pie. If they bottled this, I would definitely buy it. They have two specialty drinks, the Freshy and the Orange Crush, both of which are made with fresh squeezed juice squeezed right when you order. I had the Freshy which is orange or grapefruit juice with your favorite liquor. I chose grapefruit with vodka and even though I am not a huge fan of grapefruit the freshness and tartness of the drink made it quite enjoyable. My wife had the Orange Crush with Deep Eddy's O.J vodka, Triple Sec, Sprite and some of that fresh squeezed orange juice. It was nice and sweet which was good since we were ordering a lot of savory options. The Potato Skins arrived first and they were truly impressive. Good sized skins with the perfect amount of potato, not too thick or too dry and definitely homemade. They had mixed cheese, bacon and green onions served with sour cream also loaded with green onions. As far as all the potato skins I have had these were a standout. Next came the onion rings with an absolute massive serving for just eight dollars. You could tell they were homemade and served with a chili garlic sauce. The best part was the batter coating which was crispy yet didn't fall off when bent or bitten. They reheated nicely in the air fryer. Next, we tried the Toasted Raviolis which were filled with Italian sausage and served with a house made marinara. They were nice and crispy, but the true star was the marinara sauce which was thick and chunky with parmesan mixed all throughout. I wish they had more dishes that used this sauce as it was excellent. On the advice of some regulars, I tried the chicken fingers which were all breast meat, dill brined and hand battered. It was good advice since the chicken was juicy and tender with a flavorful coating. Sometimes it pays to ask. My wife ordered the thing they are known for their Philly Cheesesteak. She decided on double meat, and they were super generous to the point she looked at me and said, "I don't know how I am going to finish this!". This cheesesteak gets nominate for a lot of best of lists and I could see why. I liked that the cheese was mixed in with the meat and not just poured on top. She enjoyed it but said next time she will order it as is. This is a great place to hang out and relax and maybe catch a band or some bluegrass and enjoy a great meal!
