Honestly you can't really go wrong with any of the pizzas either, all of them are a safe bet. Only reason I'm not going higher is the service. We decided to check out Ty's Roadside in Mount Pleasant after seeing mouth-watering pics of their delicious meals on social media. We arrived at the destination, and we were lucky to snag the last spot behind their restaurant. They do have an overflow parking lot nearby in case their lot is full. Inside was calm and quiet, and we were greeted by the host. Our waitress attended to us, and she was very sweet and professional. Looking at the brunch menu, we were surprised by the little seafood fare as it's Mount Pleasant and all. The only seafood dish they have is shrimp and grits, I believe. Nonetheless, we ordered their breakfast bowl and the Reuben sandwich. Both were delicious, although I would say that the Reuben was missing that oozing cheese factor and that the meat portion was of modest size. It's better to go to McAlister or Jason's Deli for their Reuben instead. Otherwise, we had a great dining experience! It's a neat restaurant with pleasant staff, well-maintained indoor space, clean bathroom, and delicious food. Ty's really surprised me with how much I liked it! I ordered the Caesar salad with chicken, and the chicken was a solid 5/5 fresh, hot, and perfectly cooked. The only downside was that the salad came out uncut. I definitely think it would be better served chopped. I ended up making a bit of a mess with cheese and breadcrumbs flying everywhere while trying to cut the whole romaine leaves. We tried to order online, but the gluten free options weren't available online, so tried to call, but thier number was unreachable according to Verizon, so we drove over and ordered in person. Our order for 4 people was ready in about 15 - 20 minutes. (Thier parking is really bad, so try to park on the street nearby.) This was my first time dining at Ty's Roadside and it was amazing! Our server was very friendly and accommodating. We had requested a booth. Reservations are recommended. The ambiance is light and pleasant. Atmosphere is adventurous and fun. Outside seating is available with TVs on patio. I had the backyard smash burger which was delicious. There was a vinegar-based sauce that truly enhanced the flavor. My mom had the wood-grilled half chicken with collards and Parmesan grits. I tasted it and it was excellent. Such a delicious smoked flavor. My aunt had the Tarvin shrimp toast which she said was fantastic. I sampled the toast and loved the garlic/cilantro/lime gravy on top of the toast...excellent! We had Macie and Maddie as our servers this evening. Everyone was accommodating and friendly with our 2 dogs that were clearly in their way as they worked! Macie explained every question we had about the menu and had great insights on customer likes and dislikes. She was helpful in steering me to the southern faire I craved. Sunday Brunch at Ty's Roadhouse. Nothing says southern breakfast like a good old chicken and waffles. Justin ate the whole thing I had their Roadside classic with sunny up eggs and substituted grits for tatter tots. It was all very good but I think the salt shaker top came off because there was so much salt on mine. Emma had the same thing and her eggs were fine. I'm guessing a little over salting fluke. They do only have a brunch menu on the weekends until 3pm before having a break with a limited menu until 4 when they start dinner service. Just something to be aware of if coming in mid afternoon. My drink was the Stebner New Fashioned which had a nice light pear flavor. My friend got the Dirty Martini. Again, the pizza was fantastic but the size for $21 it was a personal pizza and there was not enough ricotta on top in my opinion. We also ordered the waffle potato chips with caramelized onion dip. Ty's lives up to the hype. We made our way over to Ty's on a Saturday afternoon for a friend's birthday and [cough] to watch a few football games. Ty's is a destination sit down restaurant that has become a solid choice for our "over the bridge" friends; we were happy to jump on the bandwagon. We tried the pomegranate margarita, Aim-Dog Ketel One vodka drink, chicken sandwich, and some churros. The chicken sandwich is one of the best we've had in Charleston and has that thick, battery crunch where so many other chicken sandwiches will break your heart. The drinks are sweet (by design) and, when still cold, are mighty tasty. We were (purposely) facing the kitchen and watching the food coming out. We were impressed by the kitchen's efficiency and (low) ticket times. Presentation and service were all on point. Convenient location and easy parking, indoor/outdoor seating, open bar area, sports on TV, upscale bar food, and a solid drink menu....all at a reasonable price point. The short ribs were so tender and flavorful served on a bed of real mashed potatoes and baby carrots that my wife dreams of cooking. We decided to give Ty's Roadside a try this weekend. I really enjoyed the casual beachy vibe. I started with the Aim-Dog Refresher which was light and fruity with the Fresca giving a nice effervescence. My wife enjoyed the Pineapple Jalapeno Margarita which had a really nice back heat at the end. The Pimento Hush Puppies are a definite delight with ooey gooey melty cheese in the middle and more pimento cheese or honey butter for spreading. I ordered the Chef Jon's Modified Benedict and while the flavor was on point, I was a bit disappointed that the "country ham' was in fact a thin slice of deli ham. My wife's Sunday Fried Chicken Sammy was a winner winner all the way! A nice thick piece of chicken that stayed juicy after the frying, not an easy accomplishment with such a thick piece. We decided to get a pizza to go and ordered the Pig & Bee which had og pepperoni, ricotta, hot honey, and basil. I loved the cupped pepperoni and liked the size which was great for one person. We ordered takeout based on the yelp and online reviews for their pizza. The service was helpful and speedy when we called and pleasant for the pickup. The vibe of the interior is equally as delightful. Our pizza felt overpriced. They are small and light on toppings. I asked about their size and if a pizza feeds more than one when I called and was told yes. I would disagree. The toppings seemed of higher quality, so no complaints about the flavors melding together but the crust was a huge disappointment. For wood fire pizza, you expect a nice crisp crust. What we got were two somewhat doughy pizzas which left me wishing we'd just ordered Dominos since it was 15 minutes closer to the house - especially given the cost. We also ordered a side of Hush Puppies. They came with honey butter and pimento cheese. They were fantastic, and I'd go back just for those! read more

We came here on Sunday after shopping for furniture at Steven Shell. It was a spur of the moment decision and my wife thought it was a golf cart shop with the carts parked out front. Ty's Roadside is super cute, the inside as an old diner feel where you can see the kitchen staff, the outside is nice with a takeout window and tons of seating. Service was excellent, I started with the morning martini and my wife had the fiesta siesta drink. The wings were fantastic and we both had the road side classic, Parmesan grits yum! Bacon and eggs.
