Stacks Coastal Kitchen We've been here a few times but I have never given them a review. I keep coming back for their Tuna Nachos. They are so good. We've had an amazing pork chop in tbe past, but didn't see it on the menu. I'm thinking they either changed their menu or it was a special. Tonight's special included a Beef brisket with mashed Yukon potatoes and carrots. When I asked about the sauce (flour or cornstarch based), it's cornstarch. Huge win for me. And, she said the petite filet with mushroom sauce is made to order, so cornstarch can be the base of the gravy. Love That! The Greenwing wine is one of our favorite cans. It's our little secret because it's owned by The Duckhorn Portfolio. Which basically means it's a good wine at a cheaper price. Top this all off with a flourless chocolate bomb. Served warm with whipped topping and vanilla ice cream. O.M.G.... Go get yours. And, the decor inside is so sweet. Each table has a different vibe! Very creative. #charlestonfoodie #charlestonfoodandwine

Perfectly prepared Ahi tuna served over sautéed spinach with roasted tiny potatoes!

'm embarrassed to admit that we've been in Mt. Pleasant for 12 years and last night was our first visit. Talking about a hidden gem ... blink and you could miss it. It's nestled among the storefronts in the old Bi Lo Shopping Center on Ben Sawyer. We were looking for a low key place to celebrate my big, big birthday. After reading Joan M.'s Five Star review, I was sold. I mentioned, in passing to my husband, that this was a restaurant that we should check out. He called and made a reservation. There's plenty of parking. We were warmly greeted and seated (at his request) at a back booth away from the bar. The ambience is warm , classic and inviting. Our delightful server, Erica, approached our table right away with a canister of cold water, menu, menu of specials and beverage list. Honestly, I can't recall if spirits were available but there are many wine and beer choices. I knew I wanted the house made Sangria which was ' a big pour,' served in a red wine glass garnished with citrus. It was potent. Hub had a red which was satisfying. We placed our orders ... hub, from the daily specials; I, from the house menu. Everything was fabulous! Hub's chicken and sausage gumbo was chunky and perfectly seasoned. He loved the hearty brisket served with roasted carrots and tiny potatoes. Both selections were from the daily specials. I ordered from the current menu. The poached apple salad with baby greens, blue cheese and walnuts was fresh, huge, easily shareable. The house-made raspberry-Malbec vinaigrette was a delightful addition. My medium grilled Ahi tuna was perfectly prepared to order. Served over sautéed spinach with roasted tiny potatoes, accompanied with a whole grain mustard buttercream, this ample portion was delicious and amazingly satisfying. While we usually pass on dessert, we forced ourselves to share a large slice of dreamy key lime pie with chocolate cookie crust. Every dish looked fabulous. If you haven't been to Stack's Evening Eats and are looking for delicious food in a low key environment do make a Resy and check it out. You'll love it!

Stack's Evening Eats has been in Mt. Pleasant for apparently a very long time. I had never heard of it until a friend suggested we go there for dinner. It is located in a strip mall on Ben Sawyer, which is the same mall that has Steel City Pizza & West Marine. It was a fantastic night with phenomenal ambience, service, and outstanding food. It's a small space filled with locals. We had a reservation for six people, and I'm sure if we did not. We probably would not have gotten a table. It's very busy here, but the staff have it under control. They have a great selection of white and red wines to choose & choose we did!!! You can also sit at the bar, and get dinner there if it's just two of you. I am amazed that I have never been here or even heard of it before. We will definitely return and you should definitely give it a try too.

Wanted to check this place out for a while It's so cute inside Went with 3 girlfriends for dinner & drinks. We had a really great time. Service was also great! Good was timely and tasty I will back again and try new things for sure!

Grilled Ahi Tuna

A great dinner spot with quality food but a casual feel! Great option if you live in Mount Pleasant and don't feel like going into downtown. We started with the crispy brussel sprouts and then ordered the grilled ahi tuna, both were delicious. The dining room was a little dark, but the bar area is well lit and there is outdoor seating with string lights. Service was reasonable!

Ribeye special and ahi tuna entree.

We had an incredible dining experience yet again on Valentine's Day. Michelle is always such a wonderful server and the food is always spectacular. I had the ribeye special with red rice, broccolini, and crawfish sauce and my husband had the tuna entrée, medium rare. Both were phenomenal the oyster appetizer was also delicious! Can't wait to go back soon!

The Hangry Marketer visits #stacksmtpleasant with deja vu, a great environment, and our very prestigious and special guest, Barbara Franklin with Franklin & Associates. Thank you for joining us Barbara, you are a wealth of knowledge and experience! Stacks is a quaint and peaceful restaurant off of Ben Sawyer Blvd hiding away with a little sign to guide you through their doors. Walking in created a sense of deja vu for us, as it reminded us heavily of another restaurant, much to our delight! Being the classic image of a sandwhich shop, I got their "Turkey Cran" sandwhich- Coleslaw, turkey breast, cranberry, and swiss cheese all in one delicious bite. They offer soups and chips, but honestly this was enough on its own, and the best kind of messy! Considering we spoke for nearly 30 minutes at one of their tables before we ordered anything, their food was amazing, and the environment perfect, Stacks will definitely be added to our revisit list. Salad of the day with salmon
Tracy N.

Stack's Coastal Kitchen has become one of my favorite lunch places over the past year! I've picked up the salad of the day (with salmon, fresh mozzarella, apricots & more), the turkey avocado sandwich, roast beef sandwich, and chicken and broccoli take and bake -- all have been fabulous!

Tuna tacos, outdoor seating and quick friendly service. This little place is doing a whole lot right!!!

Meatloaf sandwich

Not sure why this place isn't more popular. I haven't heard much about it aside from the fact that I have a friend who works there and sometimes posts about it. They have two sides to this place, one is Stack's Coastal Kitchen (lunch) and the other is Stack's Evening Eats (dinner). I stopped in for a late lunch while running some errands one afternoon and it was pretty slow because it was about to be closing time. That being said, the service was super fast as we were the only ones ordering at the time. The lunch menu consists of a list of fresh salads and a bunch of gourmet style sandwiches. They use top notch ingredients in the sandwiches and offer some creative options. I opted for a meatloaf sandwich they were running as a special and I'd highly recommend it if you come across it on the menu. They also offer some house made baked goods as well as catered entree's to take home for dinner i.e. lasagna, casseroles, chicken divan, etc... I look forward to making this a regular lunch stop and can't wait to try the other side for dinner.

We sat inside late afternoon and loved the atmosphere. We started with the Pineapple Martini and the T&T Martini (olive oil washed vodka, vermouth & blue cheese stuffed olives). Both were completely different but equally delicious! For dinner, my sister had the Brisket Mac & Cheese and I ordered the Shrimp & Grits. Both dishes were absolutely awesome. Everything was so flavorful that no extra salt or pepper was needed. The shrimp & grits had the perfect spicy kick -- seriously delicious. We skipped dessert, but the highlight afterward was spotting a dolphin swimming through the channel. Such a perfect ending to a really enjoyable meal. Definitely recommend! Shout out to the ladies at Trader Joe's for the recommendation.

The area we requested was empty our entire time there. Hostess tried to seat us outside in a crowded corner, we requested indoors, so we were seated next to the kitchen. Our waitress was friendly, brought our drinks quickly and took our orders. We specifically requested apps and dinner not be on top of each other. As we were finishing our apps a waiter/ busboy came with meals. I asked, "Could you clear these dirty plates?" " Not with my hands full" l was told. So our dirty plates, silverware, left over food and dirty table now also held our meals. Yuck! Food wise there were many nice choices and the restaurant was beautiful. Service wise l can do without a smug kid who doesn't understand how to do his job. The place was not busy and if our experience is typical of their service l can understand why.

I'd give this place 5 stars for the food alone. But let me get to the basics. We felt under dressed. It felt like fine dining. Linen Napkins, water Carafe on the table, Very clean atmosphere. Decorated very nice. The price of the food reflects this. It was over $100 for three people with tip and only a six dollar appetizer with no alcohol. The Waiter was slow. We waited a long time for basic things such as drink refills and to pay for the check. I went to the bathroom and back before he even came back to take our payment. He dropped off the bill, walked away.. I waited five minutes.. got up to go to the bathroom, came back and he still had not returned. The place was not busy. We waited another five minutes and were getting ready to go look for him when he showed up. That was the only downfall of the day. The food, The Food was amazing. I ordered the General Tso Bowl. Omg it was so good. We've literally found our new favorite place. The Gluten Free Options were so many! I have been GF for over a year now and have found it is very difficult to eat out at most places. But this place has so much to choose from! We will go back over and over it is that good!

For food, I tried the fried catfish entree and Green apple-cauliflower soup. Both dishes were good. The fish was very tender and juicy. The butter bean succutash, which I never had before, contained butter beans, black eyed peas, corns, green and red peppers and red onions. It was delicious but since beans are of high FODMAP, I only had a little. The fish was topped with tomato jam made with crushed tomatoes, onions and sugar. It was served chilled. Paired well with the fish and succutash. The soup was creamy, silky, and full of flavor from cauliflower. The pistachio added some crunchiness to it. The taste of "green apple" was not obvious; in fact I was expecting there to be some apple slices, which could add extra texture and sourness to this rich soup. I also asked for a side of sourdough. A bit too salty for me. The service was kinda slow, except that food came out in reasonable amoutn of time **after I placed the order**, that is, I waited quite a while to order my food. The same for doing the check. I guess it was because there were not many staff at lunchtime, and most of them were senior thus could move as fast as young ppl.
