In Charleston for work, and my coworker suggested we go here for lunch. They raved about the delicious food and beautiful view, and they were absolutely correct! We started off with the crab dip and deviled eggs. Both were great starters. The standout dish for me was the Momo Burger with truffle fries. The burger was cooked perfectly. Not as greasy as burgers at other places. And tasted fresh. The truffle fries had the perfect amount of crispiness and salt. Service was another strong point. Our server was friendly, attentive, and genuinely helpful. If I lived in Charleston and had guests in town, this is where I would bring them to show off the beauty of the city. I've enjoyed brunch and some early lunches here due to the relaxing view of the water and courteous staff. While I found the brunch menu to be on the smaller side the food was good. The only comment I have is it is heavy on black pepper. I liked the herb fries as well but not very herby, more on the plain side. The service was really slow. They could've served us faster and at the same time. The ambiance is very confusing. Inside the restaurant looks upscale and could be fancy. The attire is very casual and there's a big tv with UFC playing.. I am confused. I feel like something doesn't belong in there... especially with the price of food as well. Oysters, brunch and mimosas! My favorite combination at Momo's. I don't normally eat steak but their steak and eggs with chimichurri sauce was awesome. They steak was done really nicely. Really good experience! Wait staff are friendly and attentive. Food was really good. The hushpuppies were the best I've had. Soft on the outside and cooked to perfection on the inside. Oysters, deviled eggs (can get without bacon on the top as well), pickle dip (need more chips cause there's a lot of dip) was all great! Hosted a work meeting at this nice spot in North Charleston. My group really loves the ambience and decor and the setup of the dining area which really allowed for great group conversation. The menu wasn't very expansive, but everything that we ordered was fantastic. The highlight of this spot was its selection of wine, beer, and cocktails. The view of the water is quite nice as well--which complements the wonderful service we had. The only downside to this place is the time and effort it takes to get there from downtown Charleston. I hadn't been to MOMO in a while, but ended up there twice just recently. Once for my own birthday dinner upstairs and another with a couple friends on the patio. After experiencing more of the menu, I have to say that if you still haven't been to MOMO, you're missing out. For appetizers, oysters are always great, but if you don't like shellfish or want something different, try the dill dip or the deviled eggs... both are excellent and great for sharing. When it comes to entree's I've had a handful and the cacio e pepe is probably my favorite, but I had the blue cheese burger with truffle fries the other night and it was so good. And this isn't a place to skip dessert... the chocolate budino and creme brulee were both top notch. The service is always great and especially at my birthday dinner with a small group. Outside on the patio they have fans to keep the bugs away and little table lamps for the perfect nighttime ambiance. We took a nice, long walk along Riverfront Park, and it was a great experience-peaceful and, of course, pet-friendly. The park has public restrooms and, in my experience, is never too crowded. We just fell in love...with MOMO! The outdoor setting was fantastic looking out onto the Cooper River and the Naval memorial park. Only had the hush puppies and oyster sliders, but they were excellent. Had a local craft beer and a prosecco. Highly recommend you stop in. Won't be disappointed. The stars may have been aligned just right. We were coming back from MB around 1pm on a Wednesday heading to the airport but we wanted to get one last hang by the water before leaving. Waterfront, for sure! This has been one of our go to spots in North Charleston for years. The view of the Cooper River from this restaurant is fantastic. Plus, you can walk along the park and sidewalk and enjoy even closer views of the water. We have mostly had happy hour and snacks here; however, we've had a few meals and they are good as well. There is outdoor seating and an intimate indoor seating area, too. We have always found the service to be fine. It is advisable to make reservations if you have more than a couple of folks or are going on the weekend or a holiday time. Please allow time to walk around and enjoy the Old Navy base and the beautiful old residences. read more

Great restaurant and unique location. This restaurant is located in the Riverfront Park and I believe the only restaurant in the park and honestly nearby. The menu is limited so look before you go. They have a great outdoor seating set up. Even in the fall they provide blankets if it's chilly. I've been here 3 times now and each time I've had a great experience. The price is a little high, so I wouldn't consider this an 'everyday' restaurant. Their carafe of mimosas is great at brunch. Service is professional and prompt. A perfect space for the best snack lunch I've had in a while! The Riverfront provides a beautiful focus for meals inside or outside! It was a stunning day so we took advantage of the patio. The deviled eggs are creamy and flavorful, the brussel sprouts were perfectly cooked with a welcomed sweetness and the oyster sliders were a delight. Wedge salad was fine though no fresh cracked pepper available. They brought the tiniest, sad pepper shaker when asked. The shrimp and grits were not enjoyable. This should be a stand out dish anywhere local. I thought the pulled pork would be a nice twist. The grits were flavorless, the gravy kind of like it came out of a can, and then they topped with dill which didn't jive at all. Nice view and drink selection but the food is mid, in my opinion. I've sat outside, inside downstairs and inside upstairs. There's no bad spot to enjoy the meal. I will always recommend the steak frites for dinner or steak and eggs for brunch. My absolute favorite! Their hush puppies are some of the best in Charleston and I'll stand by that forever. That flavor is perfection and they're always cooked beautifully. The regular menu is limited so I would recommend checking it out before you actually go if you are a picky eater. My food was good. I had the steak frites. The smoked gouda grits was the best dish I had. My siblings enjoyed their shrimp & grits. They do have one of those time limit policies, but there was hardly anyone in there at the time I went. My server was nice. Parking could be an issue if there's an event going on. They have lots of concerts down there throughout the year. Love the view, vibe, and decor of this restaurant. They make tasty, picture worthy cocktails. My issue is the food is way too basic and the menu is very small. I think they are missing a great opportunity for themselves. We came for lunch twice in a week because we were in the area and the first time was good and the second visit our food was so greasy and way over salted. I could barely pick up my turkey sandwich because the bun had so much outside oil on it. We complained to the waitress who said it was a different chef than the one we had prior. Consistency needs to be key. Also we have a picky daughter and it was a little difficult getting plain pasta with butter for her since we were deviating from the menu. The first day she got a great size dish portion and the second day was in this tiny bowl! Three bites and she was done. We asked if we could have a bigger portion for an adult and the manager told our server No! Wow, great manager; not one I would hire. Then on top of it, we were charged a ridiculous amount each time. Come on, dry pasta is the cheapest thing on the shelf. Anyway, as a family who frequently likes to eat out at good restaurants, I think they just need a little work.
