The Last Word and a boubon sour.

We love going to Stems & Skins. A warm, cordial cocktail bar with a great menu of cocktails, wine, and delicious bites. They have a nice large bar, and tables for 2 or more, all with a warm glow of ambient lighting. We have frequented here over the years, stopping by before dinner or after attending an event or show. The service is always welcoming and friendly. We had the pleasure of John serving us Sunday night. They always have unique craft cocktails on their menu, but can make anything you prefer. My favorites are the Last Word and the Aviation. They have an extensive wine list, offering every kind of wine or bubbly you would want or venture to experience. The food options offered include small bites, tinned seafood, and charcuterie & cheese options. We've enjoyed the whipped ricotta (with garlic fermented honey, and crostini) on our last visit. Be sure to try the Jamon Iberico, sliced right there. Sunday is a special with meatballs, delicious. And if you need a sweet bite the flourless chocolate tart is a must. Stems & Skins is a great local establishment, one we wish we could visit more frequently.

It would be very dangerous for me if I lived in Park Circle! I absolutely adore, stems and skins! I haven't been in a while, but when we do go, we like to sit at the bar and chat with the bartender. They have the best drinks and the best appetizers and the best small plates and well just about the best everything, especially wine! I wish this location would open a second location in Mt. Pleasant!! I've discovered different cocktails that I really like, even though I'm more of a wine person. Check out their happy hour because it's also wonderful. The place is elegant, a little on the dark side, but not too dark. Try the tinned fish and try their standard cocktail, the Negroni, during Apertiv hours on special from 4-6! Salut!!

Great little place! The owner Matt was so personable! Love the selections of cocktails and wine! Most excited to try some eats here! The menu looks amazing! Had a few bottle of great wine! Glad we found this place! The service was amazing! We will be back!

The perfect date night, or girls night spot. The lighting feels cozy and we love the record player. The service is always exceptional, and feels like family. There is a vast variety of wines, we had classic reds. Very delicious. There were 4 cheeses and 4 meats to choose from for our Charcuterie board which was nice. The canned seafood was our favorite part. Will come back again

Excellent service and drinks! Didn't try the food (except for the flourless chocolate torte- yum) but everything we saw looked amazing. Small place with limited seating but love it for date night!

Unfortunately not the best experience. Came to bar, all good. Night started out nice good cocktails etc nice people but we ordered a cheese plate and it was like 10, 20 , 30 min and still nothing.... So we finally said Forget it and left Pretty disappointing because we live 12 hours away and we're pretty excited but long and behold not a great experience. Ambience was ok until they forgot our food and about us not so impressed anymore and would not recommend I left starving and wanting more elsewhere sadly

This place has an amazing vibe! You walk in, and you get the relaxed vibe of a small wine bar, but they also have a full bar. There are a few small tables inside and out but more seating at the large bar area. We sat down, enjoyed the music, and had an amazing Manhattan off the happy hour menu. They offer food as well, charteurie boards and small bites but we had just come from dinner, so we were just having a drink. Bartender came right over to greet us and quickly made our drinks. She checked on us frequently to make sure we were all set. Will absolutely be back when we are in Charleston again!

The room is small but a very nice space that takes you away from the noise of the bar. The quality of the bourbon and the information shared by CJ made this a great experience and one I would recommend. It was fun to chat with CJ and learn more about his experience working in the industry and Charleston. It was great to also be able to try their oysters, new slider, and wings. All of the dishes we got were unique spins on classics and flavors we wouldn't be able to get anywhere. All of the whiskeys were very smooth but we could definitely tell the higher proof ones. I also tried their house made ginger beer to have in case a chaser was needed and honestly it is the best ginger beer I've ever had! I can't wait to come back to try more of their drinks especially something with their ginger beer and other menu items.

The whole place feels quaint and local, yet refined and classy. First off I love that it's a full service bar and eating at the bar is no problem. Second I absolutely love they sell pitchers of beer. Not many taps, but still pitchers. And it's mostly local beer. I was with my husband and we wanted to try several things and took recs from the bartender who was awesome. We ordered the pork dumplings, the scallion pancake and the spicy sichuan hot karaage rice bowl. And we made it a combo with miso soup and an egg roll for $4. The pork dumplings were SO good. I could eat a meal of those alone. They were dense and flavorful and the dipping sauce was slightly spicy. The scallion pancake was a surprise delight. It was crispy and not too greasy again with a delicious dipping sauce. The miso soup...chefs kiss. It looked like ordinary miso soup but there was something extra that we really loved!! And the egg roll was big and juicy and fried and wonderful. It's a veggie egg roll but don't let that fool you. So much flavor and again the sweet chili dipping sauce left us drooling. Most of those sauces are too sweet but this was the perfect blend and the perfect spice level. The rice bowl was full of flavor!! The spice on this is quite a lot so make sure you can handle heat if you order the "hot" version. But again lots of flavor not just hot. Thank god we didn't order anymore food because this was plenty for the two of us to leave full and honestly we could've had leftovers. We will 1000% be visiting again and fully understand the hype around this phenomenal restaurant!!

All the dishes we ordered, from the miso soup and pierogis with salsa macha, to the karaage-don and peanut noodles, were savory and satisfying to eat. The texture and appearance of the chicken for the karaage-don bore more of a resemblance to General Tso's chicken with its battered and crunchy exterior, and it didn't quite have the tender and juicy interior I was hoping for, but I enjoyed the lemon mayo pairing which resulted in a flavorful finish. The Peanut Noodles reminded me of certain iterations of Dan Dan Noodles and certainly tasted fine on its own, but adding the thick chunks of bacon/pork belly was essential in elevating this dish to the next level. The restaurant was very lively on a Thursday afternoon, and the staff very warm and inviting throughout our meal. My drink hit the mark for me, and I found the cocktail menu fun and creative. In fact, I would say "fun and creative" summed up our overall experience at Jackrabbit Filly. Just ask my daughter, who started dancing the entire lunch the moment she saw the disco lights in the bathrooms.

I ordered the fried pork chops with 2 sides. The pork chop breading was falling off and was kind of wet with the grease but it was edible. This came as a nice discovery for me as I am new to the area and still learning where the hot spots are. Inside, the restaurant feels like a traditional Irish pub: dark wood, very dim-lit, regulars pooled around the bar, weird little corners and nooks everywhere. Our server was as nice as can be. Can't go wrong with the Fried Pickles, they hit the spot and were not too breaded. Fries were great. We all ordered the Shepherd's Pie, served with a side of Irish soda bread, each $18. For what you get, I feel it's a little steep. The angus beef was seasoned and cooked beautifully, very moist and not dry at all. However, all three of our meals mostly consisted of mashed potatoes on top and an off-ratio of angus beef on the bottom. It felt unbalanced and did not have nearly enough meat, and all of us had the same experience. The potatoes were dry and not particularly impressive; I expected more from a place billed as a traditional Irish restaurant. Given that I came with two others and we all ordered the same thing, though, I didn't get to try more of their menu and I wouldn't be opposed to going back to try more items on the menu. Maybe it's just not the best thing they have.

This was our first visit and excited to come back! The building is attached to Kings BBQ for delicious before show bites. We went for their "Golden Hour" and loved every moment. Glad we got there early because the parking lot does fill up quickly. There is additional parking around the venue, if it's full when you arrive. The entrance leads directly into a large bar area, with seating along the whole counter. Basically this area is half of the building so is surprisingly large. They offer craft cocktails, local beers, and wine by the glass. The second half of the building is the stage and seating. Personal space is a premium here as every spot is used for the audience. We saw 3 two seaters tables along the back wall as welk as a few tables in the front row directly at the edge of the stage. Both areas are considered "upgraded" seating/tickets. Use that info when buying tickets. The rest of the seats (at least for our show) are open seating. My suggestion is not to wait too long to find seating once the doors open. Not that there is a bad seat, but I do like to have choices. We had two openers and the main headliner for our show. Everything ran smoothly, with good volume and pacing. They then had a merch area set up after the show, back in the lounge/bar area. This got a little extra cosy but everyone was respectful. We would 100% come back for another show!
