Lovely little place with the perfect ambiance to drink cocktails. The staff were pretty cool & service is very quick. They have some damn tasty drinks too!

Stopped here during the Rockabillaque festival. Great service and the bologna sandwich was particularly good! The burger I wouldn't eat again as it wasn't my favorite. Great bar and feel to the place.

Paddock and Whisky has an inviting hip vibe. And an amazing selection of whisky. The menu is a few cuts above standard bar fare and highly recommended as well. We were lucky enough to sample some of the discounted whiskys that were being moved out for a seriously reduced price. The kitchen is open late and it is right in the vibrant heart of E. Montague Street in Park Circle. Highly recommended for some light food, excellent cocktails, and a great bourbon.

This place so beautiful and very clean with a lot of beautiful wood features resembling wooden barrels for bourbon. Our bar tender was super friendly and helped us pick out perfect drinks to our preference. We didn't eat, but the food looks and smells amazing. Definitely will be back soon!

One of my favorite places in park circle to have a nice cocktail. Great drinks, amazing atmosphere, and incredible staff! We are by no means regulars, but we've been to this location several times and are always impressed. This time we came on a Saturday afternoon. There was plenty of seating and the staff were attentive and knowledgeable. Their drinks are perfection and beautifully presented. We did get a basket of fries as an app this time and they were so delicious! Served very hot and the bearnaise sauce was good enough to lick the ramekin. They have a vast whisky and bourbon collection and bring the bottle to the table along with the glencairn. They have a full bar with nice wine options as well. I haven't had dinner, only a few apps but they are always excellent. We've never been disappointed here!

This bourbon bar in Charleston is a favorite of ours, and we are sure we stop in at every time we are out that way. It's a relaxing place to have a drink and if you can get there for happy hour, do it! They have $9 Old fashioned featuring Elijah Craig. Bartenders are incredibly knowledgeable about all the bourbon offered and are happy to answer questions. There is a large bar area with seating but also little tables and booths inside the open concept. Plenty to look at as there is shelf after shelf filled with practically any bourbon you have heard of

Park Circle has its own vibe and Paddock and Whiskey certainly add to the appeal of the street. Way cool floor-to-ceiling brick bar with some of the finer whiskey displayed on the higher shelves. Food is not only good but reasonably priced. I highly recommend the quartered chicken, which is roasted and then flash-fried P & W also has a happy hour that is truly a great deal. Reid one of the co-owners came to check on the table and made everyone feel welcome. Thank God I don't live that close or I would be there every day.

we went here late night on monday at 10:30 and it was empty inside. we absolutely LOVED the ambiance inside. The music was amazing, the lighting was low and relaxing. The bartenders that night were nice and cordial but nothing more. They didn't try to talk to us at all, and we tried to strike up a convo once or twice but I guess they weren't feeling it. My friend got the Terrace Sour, and didn't enjoy hers that much unfortunately. As for me I got a specialty drink, the name I forgot but it had the word pirate in it. It was pretty good! I'd go back.

Great little bar with very friendly bartenders and general manager! We had a great time and the drinks were awesome! We will be back!

I am obsessed with Paddock & Whisky! My boss loves this place and I kept wanting to go but never making it...when I would pass by I assumed it was an Irish bar. It is totally unassuming. And then I went in and fell in love first with the aesthetics and ambiance. Then really enjoyed the drinks - love trying the weekly special. And by the third time I went I tried the food and fell even more in love. The fries are the best fries on earth with the sauce. These people even know how to make a veggie plate one of the best foods you will eat. It's soo good. Highly, highly recommend.

We have been here multiple times being bourbon lovers and we will never get over how delicious your bourbon cocktails are. Love the atmosphere and the food too, but we come for the bourbon. Bartenders are always willing to talk to your about your questions and preferences too.

I'd come back here even if the service was bad and the drinks were overpriced because it is GORGEOUS. Luckily, the service was stellar and the drinks were... well, drinks are expensive but totally worth it. I had what is being advertised as basically an Orange Julius with bourbon. Yup. I'll take two, thanks. We split the fried chicken sandwich and the brussels. We cut off the extra chicken and brought it home with the side salad and brussels to make lunch the next day. I'll be back, for sure.

This came as a nice discovery for me as I am new to the area and still learning where the hot spots are. Inside, the restaurant feels like a traditional Irish pub: dark wood, very dim-lit, regulars pooled around the bar, weird little corners and nooks everywhere. Our server was as nice as can be. Can't go wrong with the Fried Pickles, they hit the spot and were not too breaded. Fries were great. We all ordered the Shepherd's Pie, served with a side of Irish soda bread, each $18. For what you get, I feel it's a little steep. The angus beef was seasoned and cooked beautifully, very moist and not dry at all. However, all three of our meals mostly consisted of mashed potatoes on top and an off-ratio of angus beef on the bottom. It felt unbalanced and did not have nearly enough meat, and all of us had the same experience. The potatoes were dry and not particularly impressive; I expected more from a place billed as a traditional Irish restaurant. Given that I came with two others and we all ordered the same thing, though, I didn't get to try more of their menu and I wouldn't be opposed to going back to try more items on the menu. Maybe it's just not the best thing they have.

I asked my foodie group for recommendations and read reviews here and chose this place because they have a Sushi Ninja popup on Wed-Thur-Fri. We LOVE SUSHI! And hubs loves whiskey! Traffic was SO BAD it took an hour and a half to get to the Terrace from Goose Creek. Left at 4:45, parked at 6:15. Show at 7:30. This is why I stick close to home. But we hit Paddock & Whiskey and had the best time, great drinks, and excellent Sushi Ninja sushi! Best in Charleston? That's a high bar. But wow. This was excellent sushi. I ate a piece before the pic, it looked so good. We got the Nigiri Mori at the recommendation of the amazing bartender, and I also got her favorite gin and tonic. Local, very fruity and naturally sweet. Lovely! The drink was good too LOL Seriously, though, the Tropical Gin from Beyond Distilling Company is sweet and fruity-good. The Aburi scallop is not to be missed! I swear I got an almost Bleu cheese taste from it, in the most pleasant and pungent way. The A5 Wagyu was also a hit. The Bluefin Tuna, Hamachi, and regular scallop with smoked sea salt were all so fresh and delicious. It was all so good. The sushi chef came out since he was told it was our first time and was so kind and genuine in his appreciation for the fish. I am impressed. The sushi was gone in a minute so we ordered another round and hubby was offered a discount dram (or 2) of a special bourbon and of course he couldn't say no. It was worth it. The space is tight but that makes it cozy and sincere. I would totally hang out all the time if I were local. The outdoor seating is great, too. This is an incredible locals bar tucked away in an art theater strip mall with an amazing sushi meal three nights a week. Where do I sign up? If you're in the area, check 'em out! If you're on the way, be patient and turn up the music. It's all waiting for you. Would brave the horrific traffic again for it.

It sets the tone immediately, and the festive energy carries straight through the meal. We kicked things off with Bloody Marys and a Morning Fog -- simple, classic, and done right. For starters, we shared the Hula Hoisin Wings. They were definitely on the heavier side with the hoisin, but still absolutely delicious. The Mistletoe Mango Tuna Poke Tacos were a standout. They come as a small plate with three appetizer-sized tacos, and every bite was bright, fresh, and beautifully balanced. The Buddy the Elf Burger offers a choice of a single or double patty; ours was cooked perfectly. The smoky bacon really brought everything together and gave it that extra "wow" factor. We rounded things out with the O Come, All Ye Fried Rice with Hanger Steak, which was another winner -- perfectly cooked, flavorful, and incredibly satisfying. As if the meal wasn't great enough on its own, we happened to be there while Emily Curtis was performing. She's truly incredible and added such a fun, memorable vibe to the day. I'd be remiss not to mention Kevin our server. Go see him. He was great. The whole team works great together. Don't let the bar-like atmosphere fool you -- Prohibition is far from your typical bar food or bar scene. There's a great space in the back, and the elevated menu makes it absolutely worth the visit. I tried the other side with the White Christmas with Hangar 1 Vodka, Cointreau, rosemary simple, lemon, and white cranberry juice. It glittered like new fallen snow with a little white light to add to the glow. The cranberry provided a great festive flavor. For our appetizer we ordered off the happy hour menu and got the chips and queso for only $5, but we added chorizo for just $2 more. The queso was very flavorful with the right amount of spicy chorizo throughout. My wife ordered the steak sandwich off the Factory Classics menu. It came with shaved beef, onion, arugula, green tomato aioli, on a cheddar rosemary hoagie roll and a side of chips. The steak was nice and tender and that hoagie roll was spectacular. Finally, I order the Reindeer Chilli, which of course was not reindeer and chili was misspelled to add the "chill" factor. Why this is not a regular item I don't know. It was beef prime rib, kidney beans, cheddar, scallions, and sour cream. It literally had hunks of prime rib, and the flavor was warm and inviting enough to melt any grinches heart. The fritters were crispy, light, and full of crab flavor. Virtually no filler. I could have eaten a hundred. The pork belly was crispy, and rich without being too heavy. They also serve it in a white sauce that I was still thinking about the next day. For entrees we got the Roasted grouper and the pork shank. The grouper was maybe a bit overcooked and dry, but the accompanying butter beans stole the show. The were rich, and layered with flavor. I will never see the simple butter bean in the same way ever again. The pork was fall off the bone tender without being dry. The sauce it was served in was a masterpiece.
