Came for lunch after a historical horse drawn carriage ride. Driver recommended. I think this is the place for music and rooftop later in the day, but not for lunch since only cocktails on rooftop, half menu on outside second level seating ( which we chose). Service friendly, food fine, but go when there's something actually happening!

Henry's is a multilevel funhouse of adults indulgences located in the heart of downtown Charleston. It honestly kind of reminds me of those multilevel joints in Nashville on Broadway that have a band on every floor and it's full of people looking for a good time to get lost in the music (and the sauce). I highly recommend going to Henry's before the cover charge at the door kicks in (which is probably around 9pm if I had to guess). It's better to be there earlier before any music starts than trying to come in later when the line is down the block and you're surrounded by the newly inducted 21 year olds. Obviously come for the live music, drinks, and the interesting people!

Really cool space with good views. The what tables have service and which don't was a bit confusing so we ended up ordering at the bar. The nachos were really good, drinks are definitely strong. Really cute place to stop after the market!

Went up for a quick roof top drink before dinner near by. It was a great experience during sunset hour. It was full pack 30 minutes before sunset but we snagged seats due to a nice couple. Had the corner seat to enjoy the view with a beer. SC local beer did not impress but the location did. Perfect start for the night out.

Get the espresso martini!! It is delicious. This spot has really cool vibes -- love that it is both an indoor/outdoor spot. The rooftop was fun and the bartenders were attentive.

Really cool place! 3 levels with multiple bars, and a rooftop to hangout! Had a couple drinks at the 1st floor bar and a couple on the 2nd floor/rooftop. Also looks like they had a closed off dance floor for night time events. Food was delicious as well. Wasn't even planning on eating but glad I did.

We stumbled upon Henry's while we were waiting for our Haunted Carriage Tour, which was departing from the Old Carriage House next door. We're happy we found this bar, because it's super cool and I felt like I was back in college again... LOL! There are two floors including an open rooftop bar. we had so much before our tour we went back after the tour too!

Well...this was disappointing. The rooftop is pretty but definitely not quality. I ordered a $14 assortment of cheese and received pub cheese and stale crackers.... On a paper plate....The rooftop also has a scent of urine to it.

The rooftops are seat yourself and there are so many levels & seating options!!! Service again was quick although it was early 11:30ish when we arrived! But it was filling up fast. The have live music on different levels throughout the day which is super cool! I tried the daily drink special Zomer and loved it. We were surprised by how big the nachos were! Lots of pork! It was definitely plenty to share.

You definitely go here for the views and probably drinks. The soup got them a three. It was flavorful and very delicious minus the stale crackers. The salad was very basic. Please excuse my divaness... Any place I have to go get my own luke warm water and eat with plastic utensils will never get above a three. It felt like the food was an afterthought. No drinks for me as it was mid day and this is right next to the market. But the view was gorgeous.

Food was amazing. Our waiter was amazing and very attentive. The interior was nice and they have live music in the evening.

Henry's is one of my favorite go-to hangouts in Charleston. Whether you want to sit inside and eat, listen to live music, or enjoy the views from the rooftop, Henry's is the place to go. They have a great drink and food menu and I usually order a couple of appetizers. The oysters are amazing! I love sitting on one of the three levels of the rooftop and enjoy the views of the market. Every floor has a different type of atmosphere and flow of people. They have room for private events as well. I love being a local and talking to people from around the world here.

I ordered the 1/2 honey fried chicken w/ mac & cheese and collard greens. For dessert, we shared pecan pie. The chicken was moist & delicious from being brined and seasoning in the batter. The batter was crunchy, and perfectly applied so you didn't bite into a hunk of just batter. Likewise, the sides were some of the best I had during my trip to SC. Lastly, the pecan pie was really good also. However, I was expecting a bigger & taller slice. Regarding the ambiance, its smart casual here. The decor is fancier vs the down home cooking. Danielle took very good care of us. She was friendly & attentive. Florence's did the trick for us. We had eaten a lot of raw seafood and BBQ. My friend said the tomato pie was really good but it's all cheese and tomatoes. The fried green tomatoes were crispy but needed seasoning. They were incredibly bland. For the main dish she ordered the smash burger and I ordered the fish and grits. She took one bite of the smash burger and sent it back saying it tasted like a frozen burger you'd get at Walmart. The fish and grits were ok. They too were bland and needed salt. A LOT of salt or any other seasoning. The okra, Lima beans and corn that come in this dish also tasted like it came out of a frozen bag. There is no seasoning in this dish whatsoever. Unfortunately this place was a miss and we won't be returning. Also the bathrooms look like a porta potty. You know the cheap plastic that porta potties are made out of? Yeah that's what the stalls are made out of. It looks so cheap and a big contrast from the rest of the restaurant. The staff was nice but they also look like they hate working here.

Since it's owned by the same Hall family behind Hall's Chophouse, we were excited to give it a try. We had reservations but asked if we could sit at the bar instead, which ended up being a great choice. Our bartender was incredibly sweet and helpful when it came to choosing what to order and made us feel welcome from the start. There was also live music that night, which my husband was especially excited about since they were playing 80s covers. The menu focuses on Lowcountry cuisine, and everything we ordered was delicious. We started with the clams and then shared the pork chop and BBQ tuna. Every dish was perfectly cooked and full of flavor. The cocktails were smooth, well made, and paired perfectly with the meal. To make the evening even more special, our bartender brought us two glasses of bubbles to celebrate my birthday, which was such a thoughtful gesture. Great food, great drinks, live music, and genuinely excellent service. It was the perfect way to kick off our Charleston trip. We were staying at the Meeting House Inn so were able to easily and leisurely walk to lunch and dinner. Service was excellent, true Southern hospitality, and the restaurant is adorable. Food was amazing, each of the four of us loved our dish and tasted each others as well: - shrimp and grits - 5/5, plentiful and plump shrimp with a flavorful sauce over creamy grits. This was not my dish so I only got a taste and next time we go back I'm going to get this for myself! - grilled salmon sald - 5*5, arugula, couscous, dried fruit, pine nuts, feta, lemon shallot vinaigrette (this dressing is so delicoius! I want the recipe!), two of us ordered this one and again, i got a bite and want to order this for myself next time (see the problem here?) The combination of flavors and textures was amazing. Rave reviews from all. - scallops or was it special flounder - 4/5, I can't even remember what I ordered and the fact that I cannot quite remember it but distinctly remember my friends' lunches means I did not order the right dish! It was solid but not something to write home about (or on Yelp about) - corn muffins - 5*5, i'm pretty sure the corn muffins came as the "bread" for the table and they were so yummy! Our server heard me rave about the not too sweet, moist yet with a nice crumb muffins, and asked if I wanted the recipe, to which I said Yes! I look forward to going back next time I'm in Charleston!

I started with the she-crab soup, a Charleston staple that 82 Queen advertises as an award-winning dish. During our five days in Charleston, it seemed like just about every restaurant had she-crab soup on the menu, but I waited until visiting 82 Queen to finally give it a try. I don't have any other she-crab soup to compare it to, but I can say it was absolutely delicious. Consider me a fan. After five days of enjoying Charleston's incredible food scene, we were looking for a lighter lunch since we were planning to splurge later that evening at Halls Chophouse. My wife and I split the southern tomato pie and the chicken salad wrap, and the combination was perfect. Both dishes were fresh, flavorful, and exactly what we were looking for at that point in our trip. We chose to sit inside because of the humidity, and from our table we had a wonderful view overlooking the courtyard. We were a little early for our reservations and were told that they are seating exactly on time, which was totally fine. We strolled around a bit and returned at our designated time. We were seated on the first floor in a room near the street. We loved how each room had a different ambiance to it! It really is a beautiful restaurant with a lot of charm to it! Our waitress was very nice! She was very helpful with her recommendations and very attentive. My husband and I both ordered drinks and my daughter ordered a Shirley Temple. Her Shirley Temple was extremely grenadine heavy, which I think they assumed they were doing her a favor, but she was a bit overwhelmed by how sweet it was. They serve it with a Sprite instead of Ginger Ale, just FYI. For dinner, I of course had to order the She Crab soup. Believe the hype! It was the best She Crab soup I had in Charleston. It was sheer perfection. I ordered the Skillet Chicken Cutlets and my husband had the Braised Beef Short Ribs. His dinner was delicious, the short ribs were so soft and tender and just melted in your mouth. I enjoyed the few bites of his more than my chicken, even though my meal was still good. There was A LOT of corn with my meal, but everything had such a great taste to it. We rounded the dinner off with a piece of Pecan Pie and vanilla ice cream which was very good as well.
