Henry's is a multilevel funhouse of adults indulgences located in the heart of downtown Charleston. It honestly kind of reminds me of those multilevel joints in Nashville on Broadway that have a band on every floor and it's full of people looking for a good time to get lost in the music (and the sauce). I highly recommend going to Henry's before the cover charge at the door kicks in (which is probably around 9pm if I had to guess). It's better to be there earlier before any music starts than trying to come in later when the line is down the block and you're surrounded by the newly inducted 21 year olds. Obviously come for the live music, drinks, and the interesting people!

Nachos

Really cool space with good views. The what tables have service and which don't was a bit confusing so we ended up ordering at the bar. The nachos were really good, drinks are definitely strong. Really cute place to stop after the market!

Went up for a quick roof top drink before dinner near by. It was a great experience during sunset hour. It was full pack 30 minutes before sunset but we snagged seats due to a nice couple. Had the corner seat to enjoy the view with a beer. SC local beer did not impress but the location did. Perfect start for the night out.

Get the espresso martini!! It is delicious. This spot has really cool vibes -- love that it is both an indoor/outdoor spot. The rooftop was fun and the bartenders were attentive.

Really cool place! 3 levels with multiple bars, and a rooftop to hangout! Had a couple drinks at the 1st floor bar and a couple on the 2nd floor/rooftop. Also looks like they had a closed off dance floor for night time events. Food was delicious as well. Wasn't even planning on eating but glad I did.

We stumbled upon Henry's while we were waiting for our Haunted Carriage Tour, which was departing from the Old Carriage House next door. We're happy we found this bar, because it's super cool and I felt like I was back in college again... LOL! There are two floors including an open rooftop bar. we had so much before our tour we went back after the tour too!

Well...this was disappointing. The rooftop is pretty but definitely not quality. I ordered a $14 assortment of cheese and received pub cheese and stale crackers.... On a paper plate....The rooftop also has a scent of urine to it.

The rooftops are seat yourself and there are so many levels & seating options!!! Service again was quick although it was early 11:30ish when we arrived! But it was filling up fast. The have live music on different levels throughout the day which is super cool! I tried the daily drink special Zomer and loved it. We were surprised by how big the nachos were! Lots of pork! It was definitely plenty to share.

Food was amazing. Our waiter was amazing and very attentive. The interior was nice and they have live music in the evening.

You definitely go here for the views and probably drinks. The soup got them a three. It was flavorful and very delicious minus the stale crackers. The salad was very basic. Please excuse my divaness... Any place I have to go get my own luke warm water and eat with plastic utensils will never get above a three. It felt like the food was an afterthought. No drinks for me as it was mid day and this is right next to the market. But the view was gorgeous.

Henry's is one of my favorite go-to hangouts in Charleston. Whether you want to sit inside and eat, listen to live music, or enjoy the views from the rooftop, Henry's is the place to go. They have a great drink and food menu and I usually order a couple of appetizers. The oysters are amazing! I love sitting on one of the three levels of the rooftop and enjoy the views of the market. Every floor has a different type of atmosphere and flow of people. They have room for private events as well. I love being a local and talking to people from around the world here.

The rooftop vibes were great! We got cherry limeades which were expensive for the size but tasted good. Would visit again

Great spot for drinks and just hanging out. Their margaritas are solid and the beer selection is too.

Five stars for the baroque eclectic decor and awesome maze-like roof. Cool band playing. I'd definitely come back if I was in town.

The back opens up to another bar with outdoor seating, very cool. The bartender out back took our drinks, I forgot her name but she was from California originally, La Jolla area? Anyways, very friendly and was attentive even with all the guests in need. We hung out for hours, meeting locals and enjoying drinks. Decided to order food and they had a cheese dip that was spot on. My wife ordered the steak salad and the steak was overcooked, but when asked how things were, they were quick to make it right, and brought out another steak to fix the issue. 5 stars! I hope they see this review and know that they are doing something right. I do wish they had better merch. I wanted to buy stuff but was told their shirts shrink quite a bit after washing. Bummer.

A group of about 8 of us went out for drinks Saturday (5/2/26). We were having a great time (respectful, quiet, not causing a problem). Last call hit at 1:30 so we decided one more drink before we went our ways home. 10 mins later we're were asked to leave the courtyard and head inside - not a problem. We will finish our drinks inside. 5 minutes after that, we were asked to take our last sips and leave. 15 mins before the posted closing time. Again, we weren't causing a problem, weren't loud, weren't disruptive. This was a group of 8, most of us well into our 40s (or older). But they were telling all guests to leave at 1:45a?? Just after we bought drinks? The posted hours say they close at 2a. Not 1:45a. Most of us left half finished drinks. The large bouncer was nice enough, the tiny one in a hoodie with glasses was totally unprofessional. So beware. The Blind Tiger has what it takes to remain a Charleston institution. Their staff, might ruin that chance.

It made the whole experience feel effortless. One of the coolest parts of the bar is their fun tradition of letting guests write on dollar bills and staple them to the walls. It adds so much character and becomes a little activity in itself--everyone in our group loved it. The food hits the spot, classic bar favorites done right, and the drinks are solid without breaking the bank. Overall, it's just a great hangout spot with good vibes, great prices, and a team that knows how to make you feel welcome. Highly recommend stopping by with friends or a big group.

I have never had a bad drink here. I got the Batata Clarified Milk Punch (description in picture) which was fantastic. The toasted marshmallow garnish was a great touch for the season we were in. My mom got the Bourbon and Clyde and she said it was incredible. Description also in picture. The orange foam and pistachio crumble was a great addition. Another great drink for autumn. My second drink was the Smokin Indo which was probably my favorite. They performed the smoked glass technique with applewood which was not only cool to watch but added a unique flavor to the drink. We always make a point to get the assorted cheeses when we are here because they make a great charcuterie board. They switch up the cheeses just like they change their cocktail menu. Love to sit at the bar because it is truly an art to watch the bartenders make these drinks and really adds to the experience. Everyone who works here is super kind and knowledgeable on their craft. However, if you are able to be there when the two Doar brothers are working it makes it truly special. They give postcards with their check and there's a bowl of matchbooks sitting on the bar. The service was on point and the bartender was killing it at the bar - multitasking making 3 drinks all at once. It was super impressive and I took a few videos of him. I'm giving 4 stars because the first cocktail I ordered was SO SWEET that I couldn't get it down. I tried to drink it but had to send it back. We asked when we ordered about the flavor profile and supposedly it wasn't sweet, but all 3 of us agreed it was way oversweet. My black manhattan was phenomenal and my husband had a mocktail moscow mule that was awesome. Overall, I'd come back again - just be mindful of the ingredients in the drink and modifying as needed for sweetness. Make a reservation if you can!

If you're getting food, definitely try the blistered green beans, poutine, and the farmer's salad (which is like a Cobb salad/bowl, it's amazing) *but* my all-time fave is the fried chicken sandwich - it's honestly one of the best l've ever had in Charleston. Also, this place is huge so they were able to accommodate my friend's post-wedding party (about 20 people) at the last minute and we had a blast. Everywhere else we tried to go either didn't have the space for us or were closing so it totally made our night! We just made sure to call ahead to check and they were more than happy to have us - the bride was happy so you know it was good :) Bottom line, the Peacock is a local gem hidden in plain sight on East Bay and, as a local, it's become one of my top go-to's in Charleston.
