We sat outside in the outdoor area, where you order at the bar and the bartenders will bring your drinks, and food out. It was easy & we loved our lunches! I chose the double smash burger which was so delicious and filling! Loved it! Hubs chose the Cobb chicken salad and he loved it! Ate every bite & reports that the chicken was fried perfectly without too many clumps or batter lumps. We would absolutely come back for brunch items! Listen, it's a great bar. The courtyard is nice. There is an ample amount of options for drinks. But... What does that matter if you're ushered out before closing? A group of about 8 of us went out for drinks Saturday (5/2/26). We were having a great time (respectful, quiet, not causing a problem). Last call hit at 1:30 so we decided one more drink before we went our ways home. 10 mins later we're were asked to leave the courtyard and head inside - not a problem. We will finish our drinks inside. 5 minutes after that, we were asked to take our last sips and leave. 15 mins before the posted closing time. Again, we weren't causing a problem, weren't loud, weren't disruptive. This was a group of 8, most of us well into our 40s (or older). But they were telling all guests to leave at 1:45a?? Just after we bought drinks? The posted hours say they close at 2a. Not 1:45a. Most of us left half finished drinks. The large bouncer was nice enough, the tiny one in a hoodie with glasses was totally unprofessional. So beware. The Blind Tiger has what it takes to remain a Charleston institution. Popped in here for our last night in Charleston. We didn't know what to expect but was impressed to see how big it was once we stepped inside. The back opens up to another bar with outdoor seating, very cool. The bartender out back took our drinks, I forgot her name but she was from California originally, La Jolla area? Anyways, very friendly and was attentive even with all the guests in need. We hung out for hours, meeting locals and enjoying drinks. Decided to order food and they had a cheese dip that was spot on. My wife ordered the steak salad and the steak was overcooked, but when asked how things were, they were quick to make it right, and brought out another steak to fix the issue. 5 stars! I hope they see this review and know that they are doing something right. I do wish they had better merch. I wanted to buy stuff but was told their shirts shrink quite a bit after washing. Went to Blind Tiger after the Cooper River Bridge Run and had a great time. Place was packed with runners and just an awesome vibe all around. They had a band playing and Gatorade cocktails which were actually a huge hit. I got the tacos and they were really good, plus the portion size was pretty big which was nice. Only downside is the bathroom situation. It's kind of a mess. You're looking at like a 30 minute wait and there just aren't enough stalls for a crowd like that. read more

I have stopped here a few times over the years. Once during a pub tour, once for a late lunch with some friends, and then again, most recently, for the holiday festivities at Christmas. For the most part, I think you have to have a reservation during any possibly popular time or you won't get a table. The outside sitting area is nice, but when super busy, good luck getting a drink at the bar. Inside is nice, especially during the holidays. On our last visit, snagged the last 2 seats at the inside bar because it was either that, or nothing. It's super cute, the bartender was nice and friendly. We tried a couple of their holiday drinks, which overall, were pretty good. I have only had lunch here once and the food wasn't bad - nothing too crazy or amazing, but solid. This is the first time that I went at Christmas time and it was quite a nice surprise! The entire bar and outdoor patio are decked out and decorated for the holiday. If you're looking for a wonderful place that has character, charm and feels like that local pub you've been searching for then you'll definitely want to make a stop at Blind Tiger this holiday season. It was even more fun because right now they have a special holiday menu that fits right in with everything that's going on. On this visit, I enjoyed a Holliday Mule, which is actually a delicious citrus version of a Moscow Mule. We also enjoyed the super soft and chewy pretzel sticks with the white cheese dip, which were served warm and perfectly salted. We also enjoyed the buffalo chicken dip, which we elected to get the potato chips. Definitely a great choice if you're looking for two delicious appetizers on Broad Street. Pro Tip: I would definitely recommend that you plan ahead a little bit as it can get very busy during the holiday season and some times can be a substantial wait depending on the time of day that you're there. This place was mentioned on our ghost tour and I was scared to go pee (look up the story) lol drinks were good but if you get the DT martini it does have a weird aftertaste, not like a traditional dirty martini. Fun dive bar in downtown charleston! This place is a charleston darling and for good reason. There are 2 bars inside and plenty of outside space as well. It can get a little crowded, but they do a good job with service. They also have a fun Christmas vibe in December, which is when we came. We ordered festive drinks and the bleu chips appetizer. A classic Charleston spot! Blind Tiger Pub is perfect for a martini on a fun night out or a casual bite. Keep an eye on their calendar for oyster roasts, they're always such a good time. I've been here numerous times in the year and a half I've lived in Charleston, but I had to leave a review to rave about their buffalo tots. They're unlike anything I've ever had. I'm a sucker for anything buffalo, and the blue cheese crumbles on top was the perfect touch. The portion was huge, but we still managed to clean the plate in minutes. I always recommend grabbing a seat at the first-come, first-serve bar or enjoying a drink out back on their porch. And if you go during the holidays, try something from their festive drink menu. Once everything was in hand, we settled in and shared the tuna nachos as an appetizer--and they were absolutely delicious! Went again during Christmas time: This spot is always a good time and was decorated beautifully for Christmas, both inside and out. The outdoor bar was fairly busy for a Wednesday evening, but we still had great service and excellent drinks. I ordered the Mrs. Clause's Martini with spiced pear Tanqueray gin, St. Germain, cinnamon, and lime for $15. It was very light, refreshing, and easy to drink. My husband had the Crimson Noel made with Casamigos Blanco tequila, pomegranate, grapefruit, ginger syrup, and soda for $15. He enjoyed it, though he didn't feel it was especially Christmassy. We shared one appetizer, the bleu chips, which are house kettle chips topped with gorgonzola fondue, crumbled bleu cheese, hot sauce, bacon, and scallions for $13. We added chicken for an extra $6. The flavors were great, and it was a very tasty appetizer. My only small critique is that the sauces could be layered a bit better, since once you get through the top layer, the chips underneath are a little bare. Our total bill came to $55. We've reviewed Blind Tiger several times before, so I'll keep this short. They consistently deliver good food, solid cocktails, and a great atmosphere. read more

Fun and famous old pub that is (apparently) haunted! This was the second stop on our haunted pub crawl. Sadly no sightings of anything supernatural but we did spot a few weirdo guys making obscene faces behind our group in a picture, haha. All of the bartenders were super friendly and it's pretty spacious if you go into the section on the right. I had me a yummy pumpkin beer, perfect for October. My wife and I stopped in on the recommendation of a merchant while we were touring Charleston by foot. Apparently, this is the oldest tavern in Charleston. Must say we were so happy when we sat down and were able to sample their terrific, cocktails and menu! My wife and I both decided on their honeysuckle old fashion. It was a delicious concoction! We decided on their blue chips and followed that up with their tuna poke. Our meal was absolutely delicious! Our server did a terrific job of answering our questions. She was friendly and personable! Our hotel recommended this place to us. Of course my husband looked on line before we decided to go there. He noticed the outdoor patio was the best place for us. We didn't care for the taste, but that's just a preference thing. For our main dish, we split the Nashville Hot Chicken, Brussels sprouts and Mac and cheese. Those were the best brussel sprouts ever!!! The Mac and cheese was very good. Loved the green onion and bacon on top. The chicken sandwich did not come out like the picture on the menu from their website. The chicken piece was small and a bit tuff. Maybe we just got the little piece that night. It was alright. It is bar food so go in expecting that and not super elevated food. I had the Burrata which I added shrimp to, a dirty martini and a half dozen oysters. The oysters were great - hard to mess up - but still great. The martini was solid, I asked for very dirty and it was not so but thats okay from a pub. The biggest let down was the burrata, it wasn't runny as burrata should be it was more of a chunk of mozzarella. The salad wasnt bad by any means but it just wasn't as good as I hoped or it could have been. I do have to say though that the service was impeccable! Our waitress (unsure her name but it was her 3rd day on 05/08) was phenomenal she genuinely elevated our experience so much and deserves a raise! Overall would come back for lunch or a more bar focused meal but wouldn't return for a sit down dinner. read more

We ate a late lunch at The Blind Tiger on April 6, 2026. The food was delicious. However we waited 1 hour to get a glass of wine I had ordered and 1 hour and 45 minutes to get our food. The waitress had written our order on a napkin and apparently thrown it away. She said the computer printed the order incorrectly ...I don't think so. This was around 3:00 pm, so not their busy time.
