Our first stop on this Charleston trip & it wasn't on my list but I'm so glad we stumbled upon it! We sat outside in the outdoor area, where you order at the bar and the bartenders will bring your drinks, and food out. It was easy & we loved our lunches! I chose the double smash burger which was so delicious and filling! Loved it! Hubs chose the Cobb chicken salad and he loved it! Ate every bite & reports that the chicken was fried perfectly without too many clumps or batter lumps. We would absolutely come back for brunch items! Listen, it's a great bar. The courtyard is nice. There is an ample amount of options for drinks. But... What does that matter if you're ushered out before closing? A group of about 8 of us went out for drinks Saturday (5/2/26). We were having a great time (respectful, quiet, not causing a problem). Last call hit at 1:30 so we decided one more drink before we went our ways home. 10 mins later we're were asked to leave the courtyard and head inside - not a problem. We will finish our drinks inside. 5 minutes after that, we were asked to take our last sips and leave. 15 mins before the posted closing time. Again, we weren't causing a problem, weren't loud, weren't disruptive. This was a group of 8, most of us well into our 40s (or older). But they were telling all guests to leave at 1:45a?? Just after we bought drinks? The posted hours say they close at 2a. Not 1:45a. Most of us left half finished drinks. The large bouncer was nice enough, the tiny one in a hoodie with glasses was totally unprofessional. So beware. The Blind Tiger has what it takes to remain a Charleston institution. I ate there last night with my husband and oldest daughter. First, the restaurant is honestly super cute and the layout and vibe is great. We ate outside which was pleasant despite the heat. I ordered the Nashville sandwich and fries. My husband ordered French dip sandwich and fries. My daughter ordered the caprese sandwich with chicken and fries. We loved every bit and honestly my sandwich down right slapped. It's not a true Nashville sandwich and isn't as hot but I figured that on the description. It was still amazing. Went to Blind Tiger after the Cooper River Bridge Run and had a great time. Place was packed with runners and just an awesome vibe all around. They had a band playing and Gatorade cocktails which were actually a huge hit. I got the tacos and they were really good, plus the portion size was pretty big which was nice. Only downside is the bathroom situation. It's kind of a mess. You're looking at like a 30 minute wait and there just aren't enough stalls for a crowd like that. read more

First of all, great location and historical place. Food? Don't know, didn't get past the terrible bar experience. I'm a 67 year old traveler and bourbon drinker. I saw Buffalo Trace on their shelf so I ordered it. It was a weak pour so I ordered a double the next drink. When I was presented the bill, it was $20 a shot, so $60, No break for a double here! I recently went to Buffalo Trace distillery in KY and purchased 4 bottles of Buffalo Trace, (their low end Bourbon), for $26/bottle. On the Flight home, United charged me $10 for an airplane size drink of Buffalo Trace 1.5 oz. When weather delayed my flight, I was forced to drink at an Airport bar where I had to pay $18 for a double Buffalo Trace. Congrats Blind Tiger! Your pricing manger has priced your lowest end Bourbon more than I've ever paid in my life. Come to think about it ... I've had shots of Blanton's for less than $40!! Good Luck with that Strategy! Needless to say, I'll never provide you my business again. But if your argument is your cost? I have many bottles I'll sell you. read more

I have stopped here a few times over the years. Once during a pub tour, once for a late lunch with some friends, and then again, most recently, for the holiday festivities at Christmas. For the most part, I think you have to have a reservation during any possibly popular time or you won't get a table. The outside sitting area is nice, but when super busy, good luck getting a drink at the bar. Inside is nice, especially during the holidays. On our last visit, snagged the last 2 seats at the inside bar because it was either that, or nothing. It's super cute, the bartender was nice and friendly. We tried a couple of their holiday drinks, which overall, were pretty good. I have only had lunch here once and the food wasn't bad - nothing too crazy or amazing, but solid. It's a popular spot and you'll have a better experience if you make a reservation. read more

This is the first time that I went at Christmas time and it was quite a nice surprise! The entire bar and outdoor patio are decked out and decorated for the holiday. If you're looking for a wonderful place that has character, charm and feels like that local pub you've been searching for then you'll definitely want to make a stop at Blind Tiger this holiday season. It was even more fun because right now they have a special holiday menu that fits right in with everything that's going on. On this visit, I enjoyed a Holliday Mule, which is actually a delicious citrus version of a Moscow Mule. We also enjoyed the super soft and chewy pretzel sticks with the white cheese dip, which were served warm and perfectly salted. We also enjoyed the buffalo chicken dip, which we elected to get the potato chips. Definitely a great choice if you're looking for two delicious appetizers on Broad Street. Pro Tip: I would definitely recommend that you plan ahead a little bit as it can get very busy during the holiday season and some times can be a substantial wait depending on the time of day that you're there. Fun dive bar in downtown charleston! This place is a charleston darling and for good reason. There are 2 bars inside and plenty of outside space as well. It can get a little crowded, but they do a good job with service. They also have a fun Christmas vibe in December, which is when we came. We ordered festive drinks and the bleu chips appetizer. The peppermint White Russian was so yummy, however the Santa's secret punch was a little bland. The chips are always a hit though. Popped in here for our last night in Charleston. We didn't know what to expect but was impressed to see how big it was once we stepped inside. The back opens up to another bar with outdoor seating, very cool. The bartender out back took our drinks, I forgot her name but she was from California originally, La Jolla area? Anyways, very friendly and was attentive even with all the guests in need. We hung out for hours, meeting locals and enjoying drinks. Decided to order food and they had a cheese dip that was spot on. My wife ordered the steak salad and the steak was overcooked, but when asked how things were, they were quick to make it right, and brought out another steak to fix the issue. 5 stars! I hope they see this review and know that they are doing something right. I do wish they had better merch. I wanted to buy stuff but was told their shirts shrink quite a bit after washing. I've been here numerous times in the year and a half I've lived in Charleston, but I had to leave a review to rave about their buffalo tots. They're unlike anything I've ever had. I'm a sucker for anything buffalo, and the blue cheese crumbles on top was the perfect touch. The portion was huge, but we still managed to clean the plate in minutes. I always recommend grabbing a seat at the first-come, first-serve bar or enjoying a drink out back on their porch. And if you go during the holidays, try something from their festive drink menu. This place was mentioned on our ghost tour and I was scared to go pee (look up the story) lol drinks were good but if you get the DT martini it does have a weird aftertaste, not like a traditional dirty martini. I ate the burrata and it was great, fish tacos EXCELLENT, the chicken dip was great. I would say the service is a little lacking but you just have to go to the bar and they had "open" tables but were all reserved so you couldn't sit down. This was our last stop of the day, and it ended up being the perfect way to wind things down. The back patio is pet friendly and surprisingly spacious--plenty of room to stretch out and relax, even with a pup in tow. It had such a laid-back, welcoming vibe, the kind of place where you could easily linger for hours. Once everything was in hand, we settled in and shared the tuna nachos as an appetizer--and they were absolutely delicious! The flavors were fresh and perfectly balanced, definitely one of those dishes you'd come back for again. Between the food, drinks, and relaxed atmosphere, it was a wonderful way to wrap up the day. Went again during Christmas time: This spot is always a good time and was decorated beautifully for Christmas, both inside and out. The outdoor bar was fairly busy for a Wednesday evening, but we still had great service and excellent drinks. I ordered the Mrs. Clause's Martini with spiced pear Tanqueray gin, St. Germain, cinnamon, and lime for $15. It was very light, refreshing, and easy to drink. My husband had the Crimson Noel made with Casamigos Blanco tequila, pomegranate, grapefruit, ginger syrup, and soda for $15. He enjoyed it, though he didn't feel it was especially Christmassy. We shared one appetizer, the bleu chips, which are house kettle chips topped with gorgonzola fondue, crumbled bleu cheese, hot sauce, bacon, and scallions for $13. We added chicken for an extra $6. The flavors were great, and it was a very tasty appetizer. My only small critique is that the sauces could be layered a bit better, since once you get through the top layer, the chips underneath are a little bare. Our total bill came to $55. We've reviewed Blind Tiger several times before, so I'll keep this short. They consistently deliver good food, solid cocktails, and a great atmosphere. read more

It was around 2:00 in the afternoon. We ordered the orange crush -tequila, FRESH squeezed orange juice, soda water. So refreshing and fresh. Ordered smoked wings and a side of plain fries . You can order truffle fries but my mom is not a fan. The smoked wings had an amazing Smokey/sweet dry rub with a take on Alabama white BBQ sauce, celery sticks, and the fries were crispy and perfect shareable. A must-order if you appreciate good seafood. Lowcountry Chicken Dip & Wings: The dip was creamy, packed with shredded chicken, and served with perfectly seasoned house chips. The smoked wings had an amazing dry rub that left everyone reaching for seconds.
