Perfect Irish Bar in downtown Charleston. Fish and Chips and Shrimp & Grits fabulous! Beer is cold, waitstaff is friendly. Love it!

The food was amazing! I did think it was a bit pricey at first but for the amount and quality that comes with it, it's worth it. The server was attentive and was always sure we had everything we needed. The ambiance is chill, the outdoor seating couldn't have been better. We got a corner seat near the sun and it was perfect!

The service was awesome!! I ordered the Tommy Salad with grilled chicken. The salad was chilled and crispy. The chicken was so delicious. The ranch dressing was so good too. The restaurant was clean and had a very good vibe. I'd eat here again. We were pleasantly surprised of how good everything was, especially the service!

Great live music, attentive staff, and the food and drinks were yum!! I wish it was a bit warmer so we could have sat on the patio, but it'll be another reason to come back!

Horrible food. Was charged 4 for soda water. Don't come here. Waste of space time and money. Some restaurants just should exist

It made the whole experience feel effortless. One of the coolest parts of the bar is their fun tradition of letting guests write on dollar bills and staple them to the walls. It adds so much character and becomes a little activity in itself--everyone in our group loved it. The food hits the spot, classic bar favorites done right, and the drinks are solid without breaking the bank. Overall, it's just a great hangout spot with good vibes, great prices, and a team that knows how to make you feel welcome. Highly recommend stopping by with friends or a big group.

People write on them, and they're literally everywhere... even covering the ceilings and fans. It's such a fun, memorable vibe. We didn't end up eating, but the food coming out looked really good. We sat at the bar and my husband ordered a Guinness, which was poured well and tasted great. The staff was friendly and attentive, which added to the overall experience. Just a heads up -- this is not pet-friendly, so we had to go without Luna this time. Definitely worth stopping in if you're in Charleston and want a casual, unique bar experience.

Ordered the fish and chips. Tasted great. Would have been nice to have had one more piece of fish. The one I had was large but felt it was a small portion. Fries were good. They were the fresh cut, darker, flemsy kind if you know what I mean. I like them but some folks don't. Sat at the bar. Bartender was attentive and food came out quickly.

This came as a nice discovery for me as I am new to the area and still learning where the hot spots are. Inside, the restaurant feels like a traditional Irish pub: dark wood, very dim-lit, regulars pooled around the bar, weird little corners and nooks everywhere. Our server was as nice as can be. Can't go wrong with the Fried Pickles, they hit the spot and were not too breaded. Fries were great. We all ordered the Shepherd's Pie, served with a side of Irish soda bread, each $18. For what you get, I feel it's a little steep. The angus beef was seasoned and cooked beautifully, very moist and not dry at all. However, all three of our meals mostly consisted of mashed potatoes on top and an off-ratio of angus beef on the bottom. It felt unbalanced and did not have nearly enough meat, and all of us had the same experience. The potatoes were dry and not particularly impressive; I expected more from a place billed as a traditional Irish restaurant. Given that I came with two others and we all ordered the same thing, though, I didn't get to try more of their menu and I wouldn't be opposed to going back to try more items on the menu. Maybe it's just not the best thing they have.

The back opens up to another bar with outdoor seating, very cool. The bartender out back took our drinks, I forgot her name but she was from California originally, La Jolla area? Anyways, very friendly and was attentive even with all the guests in need. We hung out for hours, meeting locals and enjoying drinks. Decided to order food and they had a cheese dip that was spot on. My wife ordered the steak salad and the steak was overcooked, but when asked how things were, they were quick to make it right, and brought out another steak to fix the issue. 5 stars! I hope they see this review and know that they are doing something right. I do wish they had better merch. I wanted to buy stuff but was told their shirts shrink quite a bit after washing. Bummer.

A group of about 8 of us went out for drinks Saturday (5/2/26). We were having a great time (respectful, quiet, not causing a problem). Last call hit at 1:30 so we decided one more drink before we went our ways home. 10 mins later we're were asked to leave the courtyard and head inside - not a problem. We will finish our drinks inside. 5 minutes after that, we were asked to take our last sips and leave. 15 mins before the posted closing time. Again, we weren't causing a problem, weren't loud, weren't disruptive. This was a group of 8, most of us well into our 40s (or older). But they were telling all guests to leave at 1:45a?? Just after we bought drinks? The posted hours say they close at 2a. Not 1:45a. Most of us left half finished drinks. The large bouncer was nice enough, the tiny one in a hoodie with glasses was totally unprofessional. So beware. The Blind Tiger has what it takes to remain a Charleston institution. Their staff, might ruin that chance.
