I had a great night in Summerville! I didn't get any pics of my wine but the spinach dip was amazing! The bartender/Sommelier was very smart on the drinks and great with suggestions! It was a rainy day so its perfect for sitting and hiding from the rain! The chairs are comfy and perfect for groups of friends and there is also bar seating for the solo adventurers! Definitely stop by for a few bites and drinks! Oh, I almost forgot all the amazing ciders I got to try as well! Not normally a cider drinker so I was very pleasantly surprised!

I enjoy coming here from time to time to study or attend their wine tasting nights. The owner is so nice and very knowledgeable about wines. The rest of the staff are always so friendly and make me feel welcome. I wish they did have a bigger and more unique wine list but I'm always able to find a couple I enjoy. They have a nice ambiance and plenty of seating that's comfortable. Nice spot in downtown Summerville.

Sweet Sparkling Red

I thought the bar tender was very friendly and had great energy. She offered me a couple of samples to help me narrow down my choices. I sampled a really good sparkling red blend that was very good, a little sweet but worth trying. I settled on a German Riesling that was nice, somewhat sweet but definitely full bodied. I think the prices are a bit high, for example I could purchase a decent bottle of wine for the price of a couple of glasses here, in this economy I can't see coming here regularly. I do think it's worth a visit, a nice spot to meet after work or for a girls evening out. There is a decent amount of indoor seating. The atmosphere was quiet and made pleasant conversation very easy. Overall I enjoyed the overall vibe. Parking in the front.

The staff is so friendly and it's just such a relaxed atmosphere in here. We love coming with our friends to get a few drinks and enjoy the snacks.

Enjoyed a glass of wine and charcuterie board in Summerville. The town is cute with shops and restaurants. A must try!

Wine & Tapas Bar is a wine bar and tapas restaurant that opened in Summerville, South Carolina in 2018. It was founded by business partners Vicki Taylor and Rick Bihrle. Their goal was to open a restaurant that would be a great place for friends to gather. In addition to their impressive selection of wines, they also have a large selection of craft beer. Their food menu consists of flatbreads, sandwiches, wraps, salads, tacos, charcuterie, and various small plates. The bar also frequently hosts live music as well as "Paint & Sip" nights. My family and I visited the Wine & Tapas Bar while we were on an East Coast Road Trip. We were visiting our cousins who live in Summerville (right outside of Charleston). On our first night in town, we were exploring the historic downtown area. After some dinner and some rounds of axe-throwing nearby, we were all in the mood for some wine and charcuterie. We first stopped at a different wine bar/shop across the street, but we had just missed last call. Fortunately, a customer pointed us towards the Wine & Tapas Bar and told us that they were still offering wine and food. The charcuterie menu was very impressive; there were so many items that you could add to your board. We settled on Irish Whiskey-Aged Cheddar, Smoked Gouda, Cranberry Wensley Dale, Stagberry Salami, and Duck Prosciutto. The charcuterie board was served with bread slices, mustards, almonds, walnuts, figs, olives, apple slices, and gherkins. This was one of the best charcuterie boards that we have had in a while. To drink, my wife had a glass of "Alasia" (Moscato d'Asti) and I had a glass of "Crested Porcupine" (Pinot Noir). We were very happy with our wines! Overall, we really enjoyed our visit to the Wine & Tapas Bar and we would definitely return the next time we're visiting our cousins in Summerville.

Sour and broken beer cheese

Used to frequent this place, for a reason. Over the past 2 years it has gone downhill in a major way. The $48 charcuterie board was so so sad. Portions have been cut in half and tonight maybe a quarter of what it once was. The beer cheese was a crowd favorite with the baguette, pita bread and peppers. We were served the "cheese" with a handful of bread with broken and sour cheese and a smell radiating off of it that had to be covered up. The cocktails were great though! Cold brew martinis and the autumn White Russian were alright. And the whole area by the bathroom smelled in general. No ownership or explanation about what happened with the food by service. Just extremely disappointing overall. Our favorite girls night spot has become a place to avoid. :( we miss you old Wine and Tapas

Stuffed mushrooms and spinach dip

The stuffed mushrooms are jam packed with flavor, highly recommend. Wine pours are great. The meat and cheese is underwhelming, pricey for what you get with not many accoutrements. Pleasantly surprised they even have a Gewurtztraminer on the wine list by the glass.

Lovvvvvved it here. Hubby and I came to celebrate our anniversary. It was our first time giving this place a try. When we walked in there are seats at the bar, a few tabled seating along the side and some comfy couches towards the back. We were told to sit wherever we pleased and someone would be with us. We sat at the comfy couches. However, I think I would prefer to sit at the bar or tables because I felt the waitress forgot about us a few times. Besides that everyone was super friendly and helpful. Great wine list, and small plates. Give their chicken bacon sliders a try. It was amazing. Looks like they offer wine tasting and live music on certain nights. Will certainly be coming back.

Great environment! I've been a number of times- to have a drink with a friend, a group outing, celebratory outing, etc. Each time has been wonderful. The wine selection is plentiful and I recommend the flight! The staff is great at recommending wines and what on the charcuterie will go well with it. All the food is delicious and fresh! The boards are sizeable and great for sharing. I def recommend this local little shop if you are in Summerville!

Wine and tapas is our go to for a weekend or weekday date nice. They always have great service- super personable, friendly and remember us and our order when we come (shout out to Mary and Alyssa!). And don't get me started on the food-absolutely delicious! Their beer menu and wine menu is endless and we always try something new when we come and are never disappointed. Also can't forget the great date night vibes with a variety of music and beautiful atmosphere. I'd give it 10 stars if I could!

There's also a large outdoor area if you want to sit outside and enjoy the evening. The staff is fabulous, and I always love seeing Valerie when I go in -- she's the best. Cocktails are consistently amazing and always so yummy, and the food never disappoints. It's perfect for popping in if you're solo, date night, girls' night, and if you're lucky, y'all can snag the big green couches in the middle room. And of course, you always have to go say hi to the bobcat when you're there. One of my favorite spots around -- highly recommend.

The drinks are priced on the higher end, but the relaxed, comfortable atmosphere makes it feel approachable. We also love that they offer seasonal and holiday cocktails, which is right up our alley. We brought Luna along and sat on the patio, which was a nice option. I would love to see heaters added outside to make the patio more comfortable on cooler nights. Our waitress was very friendly and attentive throughout our visit. I ordered the Fireside Chat (served warm), made with Four Roses Bourbon, Croft Tawny Port, apple cider, orange juice, grenadine, turbinado sugar, allspice, and clove ($15). I really enjoyed the flavor profile--warm, well-balanced, and perfect for the season. That said, I was a little disappointed that my second drink wasn't garnished nearly as nicely as the first, especially given the price. Flavor-wise, though, both were very good. My husband started with the Gingersnap, which includes Monkey Shoulder blended Scotch whisky, Disaronno almond liqueur, butterscotch liqueur, spiced ginger syrup, heavy cream, Angostura bitters, cookie rim, and nutmeg ($16). He enjoyed it but felt it was definitely a one-drink cocktail due to how sweet, creamy, and heavy it was. He also ordered the Smoked Maple-Bacon Old Fashioned with bacon fat-washed bourbon, spiced maple syrup, tobacco bitters, and a salted brown sugar rim ($16). This one was a miss for him--too sweet, with the maple and smoke overpowering the drink, and not much bacon flavor coming through. That said, the presentation was excellent; watching the smoke being lit was a highlight, and I even grabbed a video of it. Our total came to about $71 before tip, and we didn't order any food, so it's definitely on the pricier side. Still, for the ambiance, creative cocktails, and overall experience, I think it's worth it--especially for a relaxed night out with a more elevated feel.

The shrimp had a very strong, fishy smell that was honestly off-putting, and the flavor matched. It almost seemed like the addition of wine was an attempt to mask the issue rather than enhance the dish. The grits were also disappointing--lumpy and lacking the smooth, creamy texture you'd expect. That said, not everything missed the mark. My coworkers ordered the chicken salad, chicken wrap with sweet potato fries , blackened chicken pasta, and bruschetta, and all of those dishes were absolutely delicious and well prepared. They definitely helped redeem the overall experience and show the kitchen is still capable of putting out great food. Adri was our server, and she was an absolute delight--a total gem. She never missed a beat and was completely on top of everything. I also appreciated the convenience of the location. I parked across the street in the garage, which was well lit, safe, and very close. There's plenty to see and do in the surrounding area, which adds to the appeal. I'm hoping this was just an off day, because Montreux has been a favorite in the past. I'd love to see the shrimp and grits return to the quality they were once known for. Walking up it doesn't seem that big but once you go in, it has a lot more space than I anticipated. Moreover, its very clean with a well-stocked bar and enough wait staff to maintain quick turnarounds for food and drinks. That said my waitress was a bit slow and odd but she was nice. As for the food the burger was pretty good. I noticed it wasn't overcooked while a little under seasoned. The toppings of lettuce and tomato were fresh and the fries.... they were fries, nothing special. I absolutely loved the pretzel as it was moist and chewy with nice chunks of salt clinging to dear life on the pretzel. I'm not sure about the sauces as the only sauce I like is a beer cheese sauce. I guess the objective is to buy a beer to enjoy with the pretzel? Regardless the queso and honey mustard sauces where average. I'd tweak this, but that's just me. As for the beverages, they were fine. My bourbon and lime was good and the chilled Tito's shots were perfect while being none to costly. As for the ambiance, there are literally tvs of all sizes everywhere. I don't believe there's a seat in the house that doesn't have a good view and sports were on everywhere. Also the people were very nice and my table made friends with the table next to us, giving it that home town feel. Overall I didn't try much on the menu, but the food I did try was decent, but not great. Then again, this is a pub so focus on the drinks and friends while watching sports and everything will be alright. I normally dislike 1/2 lb burgers, they are too much and taste like boring slabs of tasteless meat but this one was pretty decent. The bacon was great but it needed more than the two strips I got. I liked the fries a ton and I am picky about fries. The thing keeping this out of five stars is the pricing. A $17 burger in Summerville is absurd. They want $13 for a pretzel with cheese. This is just way too much money. I have had better burgers for much less in Summerville, and these are King Street prices. If they drop a few bucks off this meal, it's a great place to go. J.Ja
