Go get their pork chop (photo) or Filet with the best whipped potatoes. Oysters are from different regions weekly. Love this place.

We got the shrimp bruschetta, which was very good! The bread they start you out with is classic and delicious. We got the tagliatelle bolognese and the truffle and mushroom pappardelle. Both were pretty good :) our service was great. We had Stacy. They offer fresh ground pepper for every dish. We didn't order any cocktails but they didn't look super upscale- just traditional offerings with traditional garnish. Overall pretty nice!

Amazing Mother's Day dinner last night. Had the gnocchi with shrimp, was out of this world. Stephanie was a great server too!

    Fish special

The fish special, peach salad special and soup special were all perfect. Would also recommend the red sangria.

Honestly I was pleasantly surprised, I was putting this place off cause I thought it would just be ok but it was excellent. Started with the garlic clams and it was delicious, I prefer clams to mussels so I was glad to see it on the menu. I could have had 3 bowls of the clams and would have been happy. For dinner I had the daily catch which was tile fish and the pirlou which is a rice mixture with jumbo lump crab, this dish was delicious. The tile fish was perfectly cooked. It's a light dish perfect for someone who doesn't want to over indulge l. Hubby had the center cut filet cooked rare and it was cooked to the perfect temp. The crust of the filet was out of bounds. The sauce with the steak and the mashed potatoes were excellent. 5 stars kudos.

Opal made our anniversary dinner special and warm

We celebrated our anniversary with an early dinner at Opal. The food was great and they were so nice to split entrees on separate plates before bringing them out for us. The server really made the night special and warm. It will now be an annual tradition

Dinner reservations set with some of my favorite Yelp friends, so I made my way over the bridge to meet Kat, Michael, and Alan for a fabulous time at Opal. This was a few months back, so I was just shocked when I discovered I had not written this yet. Here goes. It seems like something was going on in town the weekend we made reservations, I know, shocking for CHS! The point is, we had late evening reservations. The four of us were seated at one of the large booths. Plenty of room for more people or stretching out if need be. We started off with cocktails and a charcuterie board. I had spied the menu before arriving so I was good with the gin specialty cocktail and any of the meat and cheeses. The name escapes me now for this first drink, but I remember it being delicious. And so was every cheese off the board along with my favorite meat, the smoked duck ham. Could go back right now just for the board and cocktail and be thrilled. But we didn't stop there. For my entree I went for the ricotta gnocchi and lamb ragu. It was by far one of the best prepared meals that I started 2019 off with. The rich flavor, balanced out with bits of pistachio and celeriac was perfect. The leftovers re-heated and were delicious for two more days. That was a sad day when it was all gone! Not being a sweet tooth dessert girl, I opted for one more cocktail. And if you're like me and want to end the meal strong at Opal, order the Sunset Over Sullivan's. Knob Creek, pomegranate liqueur, and fresh lemon. Simple perfection. If you live in Mt. P, or just want a fabulous dinner away from the downtown scene, spend an evening at Opal. You won't be disappointed.

I love the option of building my own salad, but if you're not careful you can pay A LOT of money…read morefor that salad! I love salads but not $25 +++ on one. The servers are great and I'm sure they have to handle shocked customers with grace and smiles!! The half priced salad days don't include the half price on the proteins. Doesn't seem quite fair! I've been coming here since they opened. I love the atmosphere and the food is usually pretty darn good!! The servers and bartenders are awesome. The happy hour has some decent deals (in the bar only)! Will I continue coming here? Absolutely Will I build the salad if my dreams? Probably not here Great place to hang out and watch a great game as well! PS Owners, consider making your half price salad days the entire individuals salad and I would change your rating to a 5!!

I ordered the Thai Lettuce Wraps appetizer and it does say on the menu "Appetizers, for all" and it should say "Appetizers, enough for the whole restaurant" lol. I also pictured the little pre wrapped Thai Lettuce rolls, I've received at other restaurants. It is not the case at King Street Grill, you must assemble your lettuce wraps. I basically just turned it into a salad. The pickled cucumber and red onion salad was absolutely amazing. Along with the marinated soba noodles, I did not add any protein. My grandson ordered the appetizer portion of nachos, and it was amazing. He could not finish it, obviously. (Reference previous portion size) my granddaughter got, the kids size sliders with fries. All was very good. Its a sports pub, so all the TVs featured various sports games including FIFA. Check this place out if you are really hungry!

Met up with my friends this morning to have breakfast at Toast in Mt Pleasant…read more Our server: Lori , wasn't a very pleasant person. She seemed upset and angry during our entire visit this morning. She made angry faces at customers. She talked under her breath about customers that she seemed to not like. 100% of the time we overheard her greeting customers; she would say things like, " we are understaffed. I can't get to your right now, I'm too busy. We overheard her telling people: give me 5 minutes... ( News Flash )... Waiting for service in a restaurant for 5 minutes seems like an hour). The atmosphere of this restaurant is terrible having to be treated so poorly by Lori. AND... I was very specific about how I wanted my meal, and Lori placed my order wrong. But she doesn't know that, because she never once asked us how our food was. She is an Angry Order Taker. Why would a restaurant hire someone that has ZERO Hospitality in her blood. Toast is a really good restaurant, but when the server treats people like this: something is not right. There is absolutely no way that management doesn't know about this woman's attitude towards guests and coworkers. It really felt as if Lori was going out of her way to show that she hates her job... Me and my friends will very likely return here to Toast. But we will request that Lori stay away!!! The Hospitality business has been struggling for years attracting quality employees, but if Lori is the best that you can hire; then do our community a service and close your doors. It cost a lot to eat out these days, and to be treated with disrespect by a server doesn't help the industry. Lori destroyed our dining experience today...
