Had a quick lunch there. The restaurant was half-full when I arrived, at about 1:45pm. There was a small shaded patio. For food, I tried the fried catfish entree and Green apple-cauliflower soup. Both dishes were good. The fish was very tender and juicy. The butter bean succutash, which I never had before, contained butter beans, black eyed peas, corns, green and red peppers and red onions. It was delicious but since beans are of high FODMAP, I only had a little. The fish was topped with tomato jam made with crushed tomatoes, onions and sugar. It was served chilled. Paired well with the fish and succutash. The soup was creamy, silky, and full of flavor from cauliflower. The pistachio added some crunchiness to it. The taste of "green apple" was not obvious; in fact I was expecting there to be some apple slices, which could add extra texture and sourness to this rich soup. I also asked for a side of sourdough. A bit too salty for me. The service was kinda slow, except that food came out in reasonable amoutn of time **after I placed the order**, that is, I waited quite a while to order my food. I had heard great things about Graze and it definitely lived up to the hype. I ordered the wild mushroom pappardelle and it was excellent. It was rich and creamy with pine nuts, mushrooms, sun dried tomatoes, and spinach. It was so filling that I did not even need dinner later. My boyfriend ordered the house roasted turkey sandwich with a side salad and could not stop talking about how flavorful the turkey was and how fresh the bread tasted. The service was just okay. Our server did not bring us straws even after we asked, so my boyfriend ended up going to the bar to grab one himself. He also only checked on us once and seemed more focused on talking with friends at the bar. Because service is very important to me, I would give it four stars overall. read more

After a long day on the road, we did a search on Yelp to see what was around to eat for dinner. We came across this place and decided to check it out. We made a reservation online and was seated promptly after checking in. We took a while to look over the menu. It was tough trying to decide between a few of them. I went for the meatloaf with the crispy onion strings and the mashed potatoes along with a side of succotash. We split the carrot cake and soufflé for the desserts. Everything was excellent! Graze has been around forever, but it had been years since I last visited. I met up with a couple of friends for a casual dinner, and overall, the food was very good. My friends each ordered craft tacos that came with a choice of salad, fries, or the side of the day. One friend upgraded to the She Crab soup and said it was delicious, while the other stayed with the salad. I decided to branch out a little and started with the Green Apple and Cauliflower Soup topped with toasted pistachio. It was really good. Smooth, flavorful, and just different enough to be interesting. For my entrée, I had the 7 oz Filet Mignon with garlicky mashed potatoes, grilled green beans, demi-glace, and truffle-herb compound butter. Also good. What stood out most to me, though, was how much the atmosphere has changed. The place used to feel updated and lively, with great lighting, packed tables, and an energy that made it special. This time, it felt a little tired. Tables were wobbly, the lighting was flat, and it was surprisingly quiet for a Friday night. I have never came here to eat. I actually pick up orders from this location as an Uber Eats driver from time to time. Depending on the time of day I'm greeted by staff and helped in a timely manner while other times, some of the staff will see me and continue to do other things until someone else finally approaches me. I'm not exactly sure what may be the cause of the inconsistency in this area, but one very consistent thing I notice is the delay in being helped or approached at times when I'm in the only African American in the building. I'm hoping that my ethnicity or color of my skin isn't something that bothers some of the employees or deters them from approaching me for obvious reasons. My mother and her sister adore this quaint little restaurant off Houston Northcutt in Mt. P, so we ate here in October. Ambiance was great- nice and quiet. Seating also available outside. Beautiful presentation and perfectly cooked (rare, of course). My mother ordered the pork tenderloin (per usual) and loved it. My aunt ordered the wild mushroom pappardelle and said it was fabulous. Sorry that we found this place on our last day in Mt Pleasant. I can't eat rich or fried southern cooking, so we were looking for a farm to table type place with healthy options. This place was awesome. I had a spinach salad with chicken, apples, goat cheese and nuts. My husband had short rib taco's with a side salad. This time we came with a group of 7 for dinner and we had a great time. We had a special appetizer called "Tuna Nachos" which were very unusual. First dinner of vacation and it was a good one. Tried Graze as it had good reviews and was close to our hotel. The restaurant was a little dark but was well appointed and clean. We were a walk in which seemed out of the norm for the hostess but they took care of us after a few minutes. Our server was very attentive but not overbearing. As for the food, it was all very good. We started with soup, a green apple cauliflower and a roasted garlic tomato which were both served hot and were good. The green apple cauliflower sounds like an odd combination but it works well together. My wife has the fried pork chops which were very well cooked and tender enough to be cut with a butter knife. I was in town for some work travel, and after having such a phenomenal meal on night one, we decided to return and bring another work partner who had missed out the night before. Our servers were wonderful, very friendly and happy to talk about the food. They absolutely elevated the entire experience. Highly Recommend the pierogis (my father is Polish and makes his own from scratch so trust me when I tell you these are delicious!) they were so good we ordered them again the second night- I was also a big fan of the filet mignon dinner and the crusted salmon dinner (had different entrees each night). How many places can you say that for the last 11 years, you've had consistently amazing food and service from any restaurant? Whether I go for lunch or dinner, it's always great. My favorite is still the scallops with risotto which has moved to the specials menu, but I've asked when it wasn't even on the menu and they were still able to make it... what service. OFF THE LIST I hadn't been to Graze in a while. Went today at 11:30am. Greeted with horrible ambiance. It's eerily quiet. Except for the music blasting out of the kitchen. I can hear the 3 other people at the bar chatting knowing they will hear everything I say. Ultimate fighter on the TV. The decor is dated. In daylight this place needs some help. The hostess leaves her station. What?! During brunch. When people, in a normal restaurant, would be coming in. The bar tender says hello and that she's going to seat the 2 parties that just came in. She leaves. No water offered. I was here first. The people coming in could have waited. Now I'm waiting. And waiting. One of the guests is asking the bartender multiple questions and they engage in chatty conversation. Take your time, it's fine. Really. There is nobody sitting in the dining area. Another server comes out of the kitchen l, sees that the bartender is playing hostess and doesn't help. The hostess comes out and the bartender is still dealing with this guest. We left. Never coming back. Whomever is "managing" this place is doing a poor job. There were 5 people seated at the bar, another 3 came in and it was evident they expect to be slow or do not care. In a town like Charleston with hundreds of great restaurants, how they operate like this is beyond me. Major fail. I've ordered takeout from Graze in Mount Pleasant probably a dozen times, and although I've never been inside, I've been impressed with what I've tried. As someone from a Polish background who grew up handmaking pierogis in my grandmother's kitchen, I can say their house-made pierogies are quite good! They have that nice, comforting flavor that reminds me of home. My only complaint is that I wish the portion size was a bit bigger--I could easily eat dozens more! Additionally, I typically don't like veal, but I have to say the meatloaf with beef bacon and veal is absolutely to die for! It's flavorful and hearty, making it a standout dish. While looking over the menu to write this review, I'm seeing even more items I want to try next time I order! I forgot to ask if the restaurant accepts military discounts before she printed the bill. I asked the server and she said "yes we do, but we'll add the discount next time you come here". We had reservations for 4 for an anniversary celebration. Service started out shaky, as our server seemed a little bit confused and didn't return to the table for awhile after delivering drinks. The people at the bar were also quite noisy. I was also taken aback by the paper napkins considering this is a Mt. Pleasant restaurant and the prices they charge. Once orders were placed the evening improved greatly. The server brought some fantastic focaccia with olive oil and balsamic upon request. We ordered the chicken livers with grits appetizer as well as a couple of bowls of the apple cauliflower soup. Both were interesting and tasty. I went back an forth on giving this place 4 or 5 stars. I decided to go 5 but note that their seafood is a bit on the salty side. The other note was they were very confused about getting a table for 13 people or breaking it up. They said it would be hours to seat us, we decided to roll the dice and go anyway, and we were able to get a table right away separately. So they maybe aren't the best place for a large group. Our server was excellent, he was knowledgeable of the menu and was enthusiastic about waiting on us. Everyone in our party liked their food. The highlights were the Reuben and the Chicken Sandwich as both people raved about how good they were. Coming from the city were the Reuben sandwich was invited it holds a bit more weight than normal! (Omaha Nebraska is where it was invented BTW) The restaurant is in a strip mall which isn't the prettiest, but inside it was very nice. They also had art for sale on the walls which was a cool touch. I tagged along with my husband for a business trip. Not knowing much about restaurants in Mt Pleasant we took a chance on what turned out to be a gem! We both had one of the nights specials. Blackened swordfish with red rice & asparagus. The blackening was flavorful but not hot and the fish was cooked to perfection. Not dry at all. I had the shrimp & sausage pasta with spinach & pomodora red sauce. Because we both were loving our food we switched plates halfway so we could share the deliciousness. As we often do, we sat at the bar & talked to some locals. I've forgotten the bartenders name but she was a sweetheart and we loved chatting with her too. If I could rate 10 stars I would. The slider was a patty melt (in your mouth) perfect portion of cheese, topping and beef to bun ration. Gotta splurge and get the Calamari Fries no matter what time of the day you go... Quality American restaurant offering American / Southern options as well as Latin American / Asian-inspired ones as well. I ordered the Crab Cake ($28.50), which was really good and nicely cooked and went very well with the savory/creamy cilantro aioli sauce on the side. It came with Yukon and sweet potatoes on the side, which were also good. The only point for improvement was that there were a couple small shell bits in the crab cake, which were slightly unpleasant to find but it's understandably difficult to remove all shell bits. I also tried the Citrus-Chili Short Rib Tacos ($15.50 for 2 of them), which were excellent- pulled short rib was cooked very well and was juicy and tender. The mango relish added some nice sweetness to complement the savoriness of the short rib. It was also a pretty decent size. The place has a clean interior with dark wood tables/furniture giving it a warm atmosphere. There is a bar area and a decent amount of other seating as well. The restaurant is part of a larger shopping plaza with a huge parking lot in front, which is convenient. The staff are average friendliness and the service speed is quick. Overall, Graze is a great option for a nice dinner in Mount Pleasant offering food from a variety of cuisines (although mainly American). read more

Me and some friends went here for a celebratory dinner. I've typically enjoyed the Sunday brunch (which is great). We got a variety of things and tried each. The service is excellent! I love the welcoming atmosphere too. And the lemon drop martinis were on point. I had the shrimp carbonara with pork belly. It was okay. The shrimp and the sauce were great. But, the pasta was over cooked and the pork belly wasn't rendered so it did not give the flavor a pancetta would have. My friends had tacos, salmon, crab cakes, a pasta dish and Caesar salad with fried oysters. I tried everything and it was all yummy. It came with green beans and sweet potato mash, which was a nice combination with candied pecans for garnish. I tried one of their signature libations. It was very good. It is better to have a reservation . They do have a community table for walk ins. We enjoyed our meal. Our service was okay. The ambiance is great if you are a local.
