Excellent place to have brunch. The service was a bit slower than I anticipated but I didn't mind. The ambiance was relaxing and bright. The food was incredible.

Lillian's is housed in the former space of Harold's Cabin-- great to continue the neighborhood tradition of offering a community centered place to stop and dine. Fresh foods from nearby farmers and suppliers will keep you coming back and making Lillian's a regular stop. With a great team heading up Lillian's and each team member having wonderful backgrounds Lillian's is sure to succeed! The service is friendly and efficient and the emphasis is on making sure the patron is totally satisfied. No worries there for me. The Breakfast Plate was a wonderful choice and I would order it again. BTW~ Lillian's wins "best biscuit" Charleston in my opinion. Served with a homemade berry jam it was mouthwatering. ... I'm. It a biscuit person normally but I managed to savour and enjoy every bite. Bacon is Benton Farms thick cut so prepare yourself for your "bacon fix" at Lillian's. The crispy breakfast potatoes were done to a turn. My mouth is watering as I write this! Hold on for the pastries as you enter the door. Good news for our Gf people... yes Lillian's offers Gf menu items and pastries! Worth the lil ride from downtown hub and Lilliansncan be found in the Citadel neighborhoods at 247 Congress Street.

Went to Lillian's for the first time last weekend for a Sunday brunch, and I was not disappointed. Everything on their menu sounds delicious, and I was torn on what to order. We came in without a reservation, and they happily sat our group of five outside on their rooftop. This building surprised me because when you first walk in, it seems like a grab-and-go shop. To my surprise, there was a full indoor area and an outdoor rooftop restaurant. Our server was terrific and attentive, even though we could see she was juggling multiple tables at once. My friend and I split the "Lil's breakfast Crunchwrap- and wow! This caught my eye with its uniqueness, and we both loved it. Others at the table ordered the Grilled Breakfast Wrap, the BEC Sandwich, and the Breakfast Plate. Everyone loved their meal, and I will definitely start coming here more now that I know about it!

Went to Lillian's last week and had a great time! Sat at the rooftop section with a group of friends. It's a cute/ trendy spot great for a group and the put on a basketball game that some of the group wanted to watch Food was great! Got a sausage biscuit, salad, and classic eggs and bacon breakfast plate. All was very yummy. The only thing that didn't turn out was some of us order white wine spritz. Was truly not good at all but it's hard to blame them since it's not on the menu.

It wasn't clear from the outside, but this corner space has two levels of seating. I had a brunch at the bar. Along with an intriguing, Matcha based beverage, I came seeking the southern taste of grits. The vegetable option didn't have quite the vegetables that I would've selected, but nonetheless was an interesting mix of sweet, sour, and savory flavors. The dessert selection looked ample, but I did not have room.

Beautiful new little market and coffee bar. I believe they are also a full service restaurant, but we just came for a coffee. The cortado was absolutely delicious and they even serve it in a Le Creuset saucer. The vibe in here is really nice, like a little neighborhood spot but with a high-end feel. Definitely will be back!

Had dinner at Lillian's last night for the first time since they opened. Was a frequent regular at the previous establishment. I'm happy to see that they kept a lot of the same ambiance, although you could see where they made adjustments to give it a different feel. The market downstairs when you walk in has a lot of cool, local, stuff for sale. For an appetizer, we split the small plate of crispy maitake mushrooms. They came with pickled red cabbage and were resting on a bed of deviled egg puree. Very tasty on all counts, but left me wanting more. My entree was the hand cut pasta, which came mixed with oyster mushrooms and a shredded cheese in a tasty sauce. There were no leftovers. The pasta was freshly made and cooked. The mushrooms were flavorful. Oyster mushrooms are one of my favorites and they did them justice. Our server was very friendly and kept the water full and was on time with all requests.

Cute brunch spot located downtown Charleston. Very small but cozy. The seating is very close to other guests. Negative was the door was kept open and the flies kept circling as we ate, it was very obnoxious. The server was nice but I would not say friendly. She must have forgotten to enter our cocktails so they took forever and came out after our food. The food was just ok, nothing special. I would consider returning for a coffee but other than that I'd skip a return visit.

    Email from Resy

I made a reservation for this place at 10:20 PM the night before and then cancelled it at 11:30 PM (during prime reservation time, obviously). The reservation was for 9 AM the next morning and there were plenty of reservations available. I was charged $200 for my 8 person reservation for holding on to it for 1 hour and 10 mins. The RESY email states, "Any waiver of the fee is at the sole discretion of the restaurant." The restaurant proceeded to tell me they couldn't do anything. So, they blatantly lied to me. Plus, they said they don't get any of that money which is also a lie per RESY. I was told, if I cancelled my reservation 13 hours before I had even made it, the fee would have been waived. Apparently I need a Time Machine ‍ This place seems to have petty management.

I came here not expecting it to be one of my new go to spots! The quality of the food blew my socks off. All of the servers and staff are such cool individuals with warm personalities. Besides the food, I'd say the general ambience is my favorite part of this place. So cozy inside and it feels like grandma's house. Lillian's used to be Harold's Cabin, a beloved neighborhood favorite. Lillian was "Harold"'s wife; it's cool that they are paying homage to such a treasured space! The soup and sandy is a classic; they cook their grilled cheese with a thin layer of crispy cheese on top of the bread. Gives so much flavor. The breakfast plate is my favorite thing I've tried there. Their biscuits and sausage are very clearly made homemade. Again the quality of the food is so great and fill you up. I've already been back twice since I went my first time!

Breakfast plate was delicious, best buttery home made biscuits. Staff were kind and friendly! Fresh air and relaxing music. Purchased 3 fresh pastry items (cinnamon roll, biscuit, blueberry biscuit) to go!

From the moment I walked in, the vibe was intimate, beautiful, and the perfect setting for a relaxed Saturday night cap. What made the experience truly special was the bartender. There's no traditional menu, instead, he takes the time to learn what you like and crafts drinks based on your taste. I've never experienced anything like that before. The level of knowledge and creativity behind the bar was incredible. Every drink he made was stunning and tasted even better than it looked. I was honestly so impressed that I couldn't even remember all the ingredients he mentioned because I was too busy being amazed at how good everything was. It was one of those moments where you realize there are real levels to this craft. I walked in thinking I knew a thing or two about mixing drinks at home, and left with a whole new respect for the art of it. The atmosphere, the personal attention, and the quality of the cocktails made this place feel truly top tier. Huge shoutout to the bartender, easily a 15 out of 10. Cool, knowledgeable, and passionate about what he does. If you're looking for an intimate spot for date night or just want to experience thoughtfully crafted cocktails in a beautiful setting, the Annex is the place. (On occasion, I rant about how we need more cocktail bars and wine bars that don't serve food at all or just snacks like nuts - don't get me started.) Last Saint is a really cool dual concept cocktail bar. The front of Last Saint is more casual - small, cozy, allows walk-ins. But you can also make reservations (or try to get lucky walking in) at the Annex. The Annex is their weekends-only cocktail experience in the back of Last Saint. You walk to the back of the bar and press ring the bell by the yellow door. Someone answers and seats at one of six seats at the bar and three small (but private) tables. The Annex is a no-menu experience. The friendly and creative staff ask you questions about your preferences for drinks and then make you something that fits the bill. It was personal and fun, and we enjoyed all the drinks we had. A reservation at the Annex is good for a 1.5 hour time frame, which was perfect for us to have two drinks before closing out and heading to our dinner reservation. We sat at the bar, which I loved, because we got to chat with the staff and watch them make our and others' drinks while we enjoyed our creative cocktails. The staff have a wide knowledge of cocktails and an almost endless supply of ingredients to choose from when making your drinks. A truly fun experience. One I haven't had in any other city. I wish there were more bars like Last Saint!

They come as a small plate with three appetizer-sized tacos, and every bite was bright, fresh, and beautifully balanced. The Buddy the Elf Burger offers a choice of a single or double patty; ours was cooked perfectly. The smoky bacon really brought everything together and gave it that extra "wow" factor. We rounded things out with the O Come, All Ye Fried Rice with Hanger Steak, which was another winner -- perfectly cooked, flavorful, and incredibly satisfying. As if the meal wasn't great enough on its own, we happened to be there while Emily Curtis was performing. She's truly incredible and added such a fun, memorable vibe to the day. I'd be remiss not to mention Kevin our server. Go see him. He was great. The whole team works great together.
