Right when I walked in I was greeted by the friendly staff! Heyday is locked in what seems to be a new neighborhood. I stopped by to grab a to-go lunch while working on John's Island. The inside is clean and very open, and I saw outdoor seating too. I ordered at the counter Andy food was ready quickly. I got the Italian ceasar sandwich and it was great! I probably could've split it or saved half for another day.

Every visit has been an exceptional delight! They don't slack on the effort, quality, and presentation for both the food and coffee. It's quite a beautiful space with outdoor seating that give that "Sunday brunch" vibe. Worth if it you're around Johns and West Ashley.

Shady patio is dog friendly and offers high tops and low tops. Permeable pavers too!

Had a nice lunch here during the holidays. They have both indoor seating and a small nice patio as well. Service was good and food was solid as well. They don't have a huge bar selection/beers, but some good offerings. If you're in the area, is a nice complement to some of the other places that are nearby (i.e. if you're thinking you want to go to X you can do Y instead and vice versa).

As soon as you walk in you'll be delighted to find a place that absolutely feels elevated on Johns Island! Being my first time there with our kiddos, it was a welcoming experience, as there were already several families with littles of their own. Inside the interior is warm and welcoming - a distinctive blend of modern with a soul all its own - the perfect place to grab just a quick coffee or stay and have a full meal. The bar was inviting and would be great for later in the day to enjoy a real cocktail, which they have a variety to choose from. It also includes mocktails for those looking to sans the alcohol ; ) Seating is comfortable and spread out, enough to have some privacy from other guests, meanwhile allowing proximity perfect to cross paths as desired. We went on a Sunday after church, which allowed for plenty of parking and quick seating. The menu consists of curated breakfast and lunch choices, including vegan and gluten free options for those seeking them. I personally had a delicious steak, egg, and potatoes dish with a Matcha Tea that will have me coming back asap! Definitely one of my new favorite spots on the Island! Guten Appetit!

My daughter and I ordered carryout service as an early Mother's Day gift. We ordered the Sirloin and Lions mane skewers, She Crab Soup, Confit Chicken and Fish sandwich. The ordering process was easy and the food was ready in 10- 15 minutes. The restaurant was new and very nice. It is located near Somm. There is plenty of parking. Seating is available inside and two outdoor eating areas. The restaurant offers an expresso bar with a wide selection as well as beer and wine. The food was very fresh and flavorful. I especially enjoyed the Steak skewers. Each item.was beautifully presented with a side.and fresh herbs. The service was friendly and attentive. The menu is smaller and focused. I would recommend Hayday and look forward to exploring more of the menu.

Upscale take on a sandwich shop, with soups, salads, and sandwiches, but everything is up a notch or two, in a good way. We ordered the wagyu sliders and the local shrimp roll. Others ordered the honey roasted beets and the country ham, for sharing. I wouldn't say anything knocked out socks off, but everything was good, and the pricing was fair, especially for the happy hour items. It's just a little different than a typical restaurant - you walk in and order at the counter, then take your seat and wait for food delivery. Don't sit and expect a waiter to take your order. Not as problem, just be prepared. On a Friday evening most seats were filled, and we found it to be fairly noisy and hard to eat your table mates. They could do with some more soft surfaces to absorb sound. Decor has the same theme of everything at Hayes Park - modern, beachy, mostly white or grey.

Beautiful space. Love the attention to detail. Service was wonderful. Friendly and attentive. Cocktails were good with their mule being one of the best I've had. Food is attractive and yummy. The steak was delicious and the olives and small bites of grapefruit were a nice touch, adding unexpected but epic flavor profiles. I didn't get lemongrass from the salad at all but it was tasty. The she crab was a bit too sweet for my taste. Cudite beautiful. The star for us were the grits and greens. They cream the greens which isn't typical but so nice! Lovey addition to the island and I was shocked at how reasonable the prices were! An upscale evening without breaking the bank, so rare! Can't wait to come back for a happy hour and a brunch! Thank you, Heyday!

Got the chance to grab takeout from The HeyDay. Super cute decor and setup with lots of indoor and outdoor seating. We ordered a few dishes to try. The confit chicken was a little dry for confit and definitely lacked flavor, but obviously the parm orzo saved the day there. The sirloin and lion's mane skewers were perfectly medium and super tasty. The salad accompanying it was a little weird, limp, and unnecessary. The grits and greens with the catch of the day stole the show! Those grits were so tasty and creamy and the fried fish - chef's kiss! Can't wait to come back and try brunch.

Decided to try this new restaurant on Johns Island and was completely impressed with the food. We had shecrab soup, sirloin steak skewers, confit chicken and a fish sandwich. All of the food was delicious. We order it as carry out and it was ready in 10 minutes. Customer service was excellent. I would recommend that you give this local restaurant a try, I believe you be impressed.

Wow! Loved this place! Great find on our way to play golf! Amazing coffee & breakfast! Highly recommend the turkey sandwich!

Stopped by The Heyday on Johns Island, and I was really impressed by the vibe! The staff was so welcoming. The outdoor patio looks super inviting, and it's a great spot to enjoy a coffee or a bite. Loved the decor and bat!The place has a cozy, laid-back feel, and I love that they have live music. Definitely seems like a great spot for lunch or dinner next time I'm in the area. Can't wait to come back and try it out!

We went to the Heyday soft opening and it was wonderful! Sandwiches, salads, light fare. We tried a lot of different things. The highlights were the beets (warm and sweet with some salty goat cheese and pumpkin seeds), baked clams, and the shrimp salad (we had it as a "shrimp roll" but you can also order it on a salad. We had a lot of fun. Seating is indoor or outdoor. Outside you can sit around a fire.

Service was poor, felt more like we were bothering the young lady that waited on us. Then the other young lady started waiting on my husband when his drink was empty. I didn't eat there, my friend had a small bowl of shrimp salad, wasn't impressed. My friend asked the first young lady what do you suggest? The young lady said the salads are really good lol. My hubby had the fish sandwich said it was OK. They don't beat you up on the bill so that wasn't a problem. We just didn't feel like they wanted to wait on us. The three of us were in our 70s and 60s it felt more like maybe a young crowd place. Probably won't go back.

This unassuming cafe is next door to the Citadel mall, so parking is never an issue. The decor is clean and bright with various pictures and items showing the owners beloved Germany. I started with an iced mocha which had a nice dollop of whipped cream on top and lots of chocolate syrup. It was surprisingly not too sweet with the coffee flavor being more dominant. I ordered the Blueberry Blessed Pancakes and thoroughly enjoyed them. At first, I was apprehensive thinking maybe the blueberries were only on top but was please to find them loaded with plump berries inside. The pancake itself was cooked to a perfect golden brown and the idea of putting vanilla ice cream on top was pure genius! My wife ordered the Hashtag, a loaded breakfast sandwich with a French butter croissant packed with a crispy hashbrown, brown sugar bacon, two over easy eggs, melted American cheese with a garlic aioli spread. It was savory and hearty and the egg yolks nice and runny. Now of course we had to get a few baked goods to enjoy later. I got the blueberry cheesecake Danish which was still tender and flaky the next day. I loved how the blueberry and cheesecake were split right down the middle. Being that they are a German bakery I had to get the go to German chocolate cake. It was nice and moist, and the coconut was mixed in with the chocolate icing giving great coconut flavor with each bite! So, drag yourself out of bed and settle in with a great cup of coffee and one of their wonderful baked goods!

I looked over the menu and order a hot mocha and the Bella Bosso bagel sandwich... plus I got a cake to go because I wanted to try something and I knew I'd be happy to have it later. I was a little disappointed in my mocha latte. I ordered a large and when I took off the lid, there was an inch of room and then a layer of whipped cream with cookie topping so there was a very small amount of coffee. Aside from that, it was delicious so I was satisfied. For the Bella Rosso bagel sandwich, it had all the makings of things I like, but the bagel was pretty dry so it was just okay. I did share the cake with a friend later that day and it was delicious. Overall, I liked the cafe and the owner was chatting with folks, emptying trash bins, and friendly to everyone who came in. I think I just didn't enjoy my order too much that day. I will definitely be back to try the breakfast sandwiches because they look great.

I started out with a dirty chai latte, which was great. Met my expectations for a dirty chai. For food I went with the King Street Bowl, which has a lot of yummy things in it like pimento cheese, scrambled eggs, potatoes, and more. However, when put all together, it was lacking flavor a little bit. It was better once I added some hot sauce, but it just wasn't my favorite. Next time, I'll try something else!
