I've had my eye on this place for a while now and we decided to give it a try. They are located near the Shem creek area of Mt. Pleasant. They do have a drive thru option. We waited for about 15 minutes in line and dined in. I ordered the CBB which is a chicken cutlet sandwich with burrata and bacon. It was missing the tomato aioli which probably would have made it better. I also got the Samoa that latte and it was delicious. My husband got the Cal bowl and ate all of it, he really enjoyed it. Overall it's a hip place with a 90's vibe and the food is good. I will visit again soon.

I grabbed a sammy to go. I got the Arthur Ave and it was really good, a perfect beach lunch. For the drive through order it didn't take too long. A little overpriced. But I added the Calabrian chili relish and holy shizzz i need that on everything!

Was looking for a cute place with an outside seating to sit with my dog. Drove by and had to circle back. It's bright and vibrant colors drew me in. I saw a large patio porch seating so I wanted to see what was up. It had a cool drive-thru and even a walk into order window. It gave a very beachy vibe and there was plenty of space for dogs to sit on the patio with water bowls. We ordered at the counter and were met graciously by all staff. We were explaining the menu and we finally made this decision from all the wonderful choices. We went with the chick flick which was noted to be the owner's Grandma's special recipe. I opted a different type of bread so we got the sourdough instead of the New York kaiser roll . The Kaiser will probably would have been great but we didn't do it because of allergies. So they are easy to work with for allergies and dietary restrictions . Decker of course got his pup Cup from staff which was very nice of them. He met a bunch of other customers who are really friendly as well and there was even a permanent jewelry maker outside doing her thing. They had a lot of interesting drink choices to choose from and breakfast items too! The sandwich was huge and enough for two meals. We also got a nice big glass of ice water. Will definitely make a note of this place for breakfast sandwiches to try. Highly recommend!

Been here a couple of times and I've enjoyed my meal each time. This place is a very laid back spot. You come inside, and there's plenty of seating outside and seating indoors. You order at the counter, grab spot, and they'll bring it out to you. The portion sizes of the meals are big and plenty. Trust me, you'll be full. Couldn't finish my meal. They also serve beer wine and other Knick knacks. Looks to have a nice lunch menu, but I come back for the breakfast bowls. Haven't explored their coffee options much but they do have quite the variety and flavors. Only downside was that the music was particularly loud on this day. But besides that, a great meal.

Chopped Cheese; like a cheese steak but with two cheeses, lettuce and tomato and a sauce that tied all together. This sauce was a winner.

I visited Bodega quite a long time ago, and it's def changed it good bit since that first visit, all for the better. I swung in here to grab a quick lunch with my mom whilst holiday shopping. Good move as we ordered two delicious sammies, the Club and the Chopped Cheese. Yes, they look messy in my images, but building and layering a great sandwich means messy. The service situation is drastically different; no servers to take the order now, rather counter service with the trusty 'order number stanchion' placed on the table you select so the food runner can find you. We rounded out the sandwiches with a bag of chips and a couple of beverages; the order total was right around $40-ish. We each ended up taking half our sandwiches home with us because they were so big. The single thing we both commented on several times was the freshness of the rolls used in making the sandwiches; first rate.

This was my first time going to this Bodega location. The parking is pretty tight here on a Saturday morning but we were able to find something. I ordered the fat cow Sammy and the apple cider donut chai and it was delicious! My hubby got the pb&j latte and the cbb sandwich. He liked the sandwich but found the latte a bit strange. I tried some and drank a chunk of peanut butter. I think it would be better if the peanut butter was melted down with the espresso for a smoother sip! Overall great menu as always!

I'm not sure how we've missed this place! Had some errands to run so went to Yelp to find a Mt Pleasant breakfast place. I always search the menu to make sure there's something my wife will like. Being fun NYC she's always in on a breakfast sandwich. We got there and it is a cool, order at the counter vibe. She went with "The Cow" which was modified from double bacon to bacon and sausage and had the hash browns on it, true New York style! She described as DELICIOUS, which is not easy. The donut was also incredible. I had the salmon toast which was super tasty and the flavored lattes were awesome. Definitely will be back and highly recommend!

I've been to the downtown location before but tried the mount pleasant location this morning! The bowls are delicious and have so much food. A lot of bang for your buck. I love their strawberry matcha and specialty lattes, but they are more of a sweet treat than a beverage so be sure to take that into account. The outside area is great and they have heaters for when it's a little chilly! Staff was super nice and food came out quick.

Well this is just the hippest place to eat & it was packed inside! They have cool merchandise, so make sure to check it out and maybe pick-up something for a friend! The food was great, the Bloody Mary potato chips not so much. I ordered the chicken salad sandwich with candied pecans. It was fantastic! This place has a cool vibe and it was fun to eat at with my friends. The only bad thing was there was a booth behind us with people who were so loud we could barely talk. They kept moving around on the booth causing our booth to constantly shake. Just rude customers here. Restaurant employees were nice. The place was noisy.

I love the vibe here, it's vibrant and colorful while still feeling relaxed and inviting. The service was great- our food came out quickly, and the staff were very friendly and accommodating. The food itself was just okay. It felt like each dish was trying for balance but didn't quite get there. Some items were too sweet, others too salty, and the potatoes seemed to give up entirely and landed on bland. The kind of standout, however, was the classic with bacon which was easily the best item we tried.

I visited Bodega in Mt. Pleasant and had a great experience from start to finish. I tried the CBB dipped in buffalo, which was crispy, juicy, and packed with flavor--the buffalo sauce added just the right amount of heat. I also ordered the Diner Club, which was fresh, well-balanced, and satisfying, stacked with quality ingredients that made every bite worth it. The setup is casual as you order at the counter, then they bring the food to your table--and the staff was super friendly and welcoming. There's a variety of cute outdoor seating options along with booths and tables inside, all with a bright, relaxed vibe that makes it easy to hang out for a while. Prices are fair for the portion size. Overall, it's a fun, casual spot with great service and seriously good sandwiches.

Mimosa, fountain drink, and scooby doo while we wait.

Starting dinner off right with some deliciously fresh raw oysters complete with a traditional "onion" mignonette, and then Chef Eric brought out a little special treat....the base was fresh lump crab meat topped with some chunked watermelon and the most light, fresh, delicious dressing & crunch. WOW. I could eat that all summer. Moving onto the main courses, a perfectly cooked NY strip & root veggies with a love boat of fresh sauces. Chimi, steak butter, and a horseradish crema. As if the steak needed any sauce, but with that trifecta?? I couldn't help myself. Incredible. The other entree, a risotto and shrimp. Incredibly flavorful, complete with crisp English peas. As I write this, I wish I had another plateful. The bartender is the Chef's little lady, & she was a GEM! I cannot remember her name, but she goes to estate sales, and thrifts the beautiful dishes and glassware that they use in the restaurant, which I thought was so neat! These two truly have put their heart and soul into this little place and you can tell. The menu is of a smaller variety, but variety for sure. Chef Eric changes the menu up daily/weekly, so you never know what you may get, and I think that is honestly one of the best parts about this place. You can tell they care, from the food to the atmosphere they have created. This one deserves all the 5 stars.

Even stranger, is that the restaurant was dead when we arrived. Our server dropped menus and asked what we'd like to drink. When we asked for a minute to review the wine list, she took that as 10 minutes to return. The burrata was a great starter even though it was served with an inadequate amount of toast points. No offer was made to bring more, even though there was an obvious need. The arugula Caesar was extremely salty. We liked the sardines throughout but there was no reason to add additional salt. The shrimp and lobster pasta dish was fine, nothing more. The Shellmore is in a nice little space at the front of I'on. Outdoor seating on the sidewalk or indoor seating at tables or the bar is offered.

I've been dining at Red Drum for over twenty years, long enough to remember when a last-minute…read morereservation on a Tuesday felt like winning the lottery. So when my family and I received some truly remarkable medical news this week, the kind of victory you save for a proper toast, Red Drum was the obvious choice. What better place to celebrate a long-awaited milestone than with familiar faces and a pork chop I've trusted since the era of dial-up internet? Well. About that pork chop. Two of us ordered the longtime menu staple. We expected the same giant, butcher's-best chop that has anchored the plate forever. What arrived instead felt like someone had rewritten a classic without reading the original. Gone were the lovely fresh tomatoes and potatoes, the bright bites that used to sing alongside the chop, along with the subtle demi that once tied everything together. In their place, Brussels sprouts were doing a full backstroke in an acid bath. And not, unfortunately, the fun kind of acid bath. I would have been fine with the sprouts but this sauce... The sauce was so sharp and dominant that it steamrolled the pork entirely. Since it made up the entire base of the dish, there was no escaping it. I later learned there were supposed to be potatoes mixed in, hash-style, but my portion must have pulled a vanishing act because not a single potato was found. My dining partner fared no better. Between the two of us, the equivalent of an entire pork chop went back to the kitchen. When we told our server the sauce tasted "off," she reacted with all the urgency of someone being told their shoelace is untied. There was no concern, no apology, and no curiosity. Our third diner ordered the salmon. He said it was very good, and the corn pudding was too, but even he missed the potato that used to round out the plate. For forty-one dollars, he said the meal felt "undercut," and I agree. When the most satisfied person at the table feels shorted, that is not great. Dessert was a bright spot. The hot butter rum toffee and the doughnuts hit the mark. By then, however, I was too busy fuming, more effectively than the pork, over the indifference that hung over the whole evening. No manager ever came by. I am not convinced our feedback reached anyone. By the time the bill arrived, it felt like our waitress wanted us to pay, smile, and scurry along. This was when the night took another strange turn. As she handed me the check, I asked about a familiar husband and wife duo who had served at Red Drum for years. They were beloved, memorable, and unmistakably professional. Anyone who has eaten at Red Drum even semi-regularly knows exactly who I mean. They were fixtures. I asked if they were working that night so I could say hello. The waitress casually told me they had been gone for some time and had left under "not good circumstances." That was when my eyebrows reached escape velocity. If you know Red Drum, the Red Drum of years past, you know that couple. You know the level of professionalism, the consistency, and the connection they brought to the room. You know they were not the "leave under not good circumstances" type. The comment felt off, unnecessary, and frankly a little concerning. It made me wonder what has really changed behind the scenes and what regulars will think when they read this. By then, curiosity pushed me to look around the room. It was nearly empty. It was 6:45 p.m. on a Tuesday. Yes, a weeknight, but dinner hour all the same. In years past, this place buzzed no matter the night. You could not get a last-minute reservation without divine intervention. Suddenly the ease of getting one this time made a whole lot more sense. I genuinely wanted this to be a triumphant return, a full-circle moment after a long illness and a day of wonderful news. Instead, it was a sobering reminder that somewhere along the way, Red Drum lost the plot, and maybe a lot more than its potatoes. After reflecting on our experience, I called the restaurant to share my concerns, but three business days have passed without a return call.
