This place has very cute sidewalk chalk breakfast food leading up to the restaurant. It's in a good location and easy to find. The staff is friendly and our waitress was attentive and kind. The decor is fun, with plenty of quality breakfast puns. I ordered the skillet which felt more like a scramble. I think a " breakfast skillet" should have a bottom layer with crispy potatoes and piping hot cheese that creates a frico effect. This skillet did not have any of that. That may be a preference thing and I have high expectations for breakfast skillets. The blueberry jam was heaven and I'd eat it by the gallon if I could. I think next time I would try something else, like the Benedict. This is clearly a well loved and popular spot for breakfast. We had the most amazing breakfast here! We were seated at a table and asked to move to a booth and was accommodated right away being seated at the first booth by the front door. We asked our server Anna for a few suggestions and she gave us some great ones! She was such a delightful person and really made us feel like a local while simply driving through town on the way back home. Food and service was amazing. This place is run like a top and it shows! We will definitely put this on our must stop list while we drive through and also refer to family and all who ask. Stopped in due to good Yelp reviews on our way to Charleston and it didn't disappoint! Everyone enjoyed their meals. The chicken tenders looked home made and not something frozen. My wife commented that her Eggs Benedict was cooked perfectly. The staff were friendly and did a great job too. As for the restaurant, it's your typical diner/cafe experience but tucked into a building shared with phone store. I didn't see any outdoor seating area (but it was a rainy day) I don't know if there are other breakfast places in the area, but this has to be one of the best. First off, everything here is delicious! Truly, it is! They even have a special gluten-free menu if that's what your needs require. We sat at the very busy bar because we realized it was spring break after we had already pulled up and got inside. I brought home a turkey and Swiss for my husband. The hash cake is not corned beef hash cake. It is a hash brown cake, but that's OK because it is very delicious nonetheless! The ambience is busy and crowded, but still friendly and a family friendly place to eat. However, the prices aren't as family friendly. I paid for my friend because she did a big favor for me, my lunch and my husband's was $45 and neither of us got any cocktails. This isn't a result of the current situation because it was this way last time we came as well. The food is delicious, the drinks are delicious, the service is great, but the prices could be a little more in line even for Mt. Pleasant. Cute breakfast spot w/a bar! Service by Kevin was great, and the food was pretty good. The prices are very reasonable also. I tried the mother of all biscuits which included a delicious pickle brined crispy chicken breast with a slice of cheese and opted for the dirty bird add on's of hot sauce (not really hot at all) and honey. My only critique is that the cheese was not a good addition, and the biscuit began to fall apart quickly making it a pretty messy bite of food. The star was the brûléed grapefruit! I don't usually put sugar on my grapefruit, but to brûlée it was a different take for me, so I had to try it. It did not disappoint! It wasn't super sweet, and the bits of mildly charred crystallized sugar against the bitter grapefruit was perfect. Overall, I enjoyed my visit to BBB and would most certainly return to try other menu items including maybe a cocktail. 8/10 read more

BBB offers top quality for a price. I happily paid $26 for my Classic 2 eggs, bacon, toast, grits, orange juice, and coffee. The bacon was thick sliced, and crispy as I ordered. My wheat toast was Texas cut, and I chose a delicious peach jam to accompany. The grits were top notch, creamy while still having a good chew. Great service too, friendly and efficient. I had my eggs n bacon in no time, and my coffee got refilled before I had to ask. BBB is a clean, modern-casual design, welcoming without being cozy or tired. I noted that the counter spots each had USB/AC power and hooks for jackets or bags. Nice touch. There is also outside seating, something I'll try next time. From the outside it just looks like you are going to enter a small restaurant but when you open the door it's like a step into Narnia :) This awesome diner has it all. I grew up eating tomato gravy weekly, and it's few and far between when you find a restaurant with it. Winter Easter Sunday at 9 AM I signed on on our way over there. A lot of people were leaving we didn't need the reservation because there were spots open at the counter and we like eating up there. The server and pigtails took our drink water and clean the counter in front of us. When she left, my wife said I guess she doesn't wanna be here today. And I just paid attention and she didn't smile the entire time that we were there. Another server was more friendly. You ordered their chicken over biscuit and sausage gravy. My wife ordered a redneck Benny. It came out fairly quick my wife enjoyed right away. I had problems cutting my chicken with their knife. Overall, it was dry and overcooked. We've been there a number of times before, and this had been the most disappointing. Usually it's a nice ambience. They're very friendly servers. It's a nice atmosphere in there. It's usually very noisy which is not a problem. We go there with our three grandchildren and fit right in. Half melted cheese (3 types) and half mayonaise. I found maybe one half of one slice of a tomato. Not what I was expecting, though the promotion should have clued me in. Don't think this should be added to the main menu! On the positive side, our server was cheerful, upbeat, and prompt with answering our requests. The ancillary staff was young and energetic and the food came out promptly. The chicken and biscuits were probably the best meal at our table. Despite the growing crowd we did not feel pressured to finish our second cup of coffee. This trip was not as good as our first, but we might give it another shot someday. read more

Stopped by Big Bad Breakfast on Route 17 in Mount Pleasant and had a delicious experience. The atmosphere was upbeat and welcoming, and the food lived up to the hype. Everything was cooked to perfection, from the eggs to the chicken and biscuits--and the coffee was spot on too. My veggie omelette with goat cheese was savory and our son's biscuits and gravy had a clean bowl ending. Our server was so attentive and even joined us in our pre meal prayer. What an asset she is there! Service is above excellent with generous portions, and a menu that makes it hard to choose just one thing. I'll definitely be back to try more selections next time I'm in the area. A must-try spot for breakfast and lunch lovers because I saw those plates of food coming out too and they looked amazing!
