    Farmhouse Skillet Hash -- $14.29

Let's just say I will not be rushing back here. And I especially won't be back on a Sunday. Not only are they under staffed to handle a busy restaurant, the food was not of the high quality we've received during past visits. Three of us arrived Sunday at 10:45 and left at 12:25. Almost 2 hours for a couple eggs and some potatoes is crazy.... Upon arrival we were told 30 minutes before we'd be seated. Fine. It was actually only about 20 minutes. Off to a good start that was instantly halted as we waited and waited and waited and waited and still no sign of a server. The guy running waters and sodas finally came over and ended up taking our drink orders, getting our drinks and taking our food orders. Once our food came out (which was a long wait too) not everyone's orders were correct. Mine was what I had ordered, but it only had a little of the cream sauce and most of my potatoes were burnt. Leaving a big dry bowl of inedible food I left. I also don't understand why restaurants claim to serve toast when what you receive is cold bread with a blob of unmelted butter. First Watch is not the only restaurant doing this, but they're on the list too! After so much waiting, you find yourself eating fast because you want to get the heck out of there. You also start to get antsy... we flagged down someone who finally got the person with our bill and got the heck out of dodge!

Excellent service. Loved the ambiance and decore of the restaurant. The french toast was delicioso alongside de coffee. Totally recommended!

The sandwich was really good, it was spicy. Luke was a great server. The place is nice and calm.

Me and my daughter came for Brunch for my Birthday. The Food, drinks and Service was excellent.

We've been to first watch many times and it's always been consistently good food. Service has generally been on point very little issues and the ambience is just standard American cuisine breakfast and lunch restaurant nothing over the top but it's very clean. If you're just looking for a good down home breakfast or lunch I would definitely recommend first watch. They have a fairly decent healthy selection and they've got a nice outdoor seating area. We enjoy sitting outside on the patio and having a pomegranate mimosa and a bloody Mary.

1 hour wait, another hour wait for our food to come out. Rude and unapologetic staff. Lukewarm food. Wilted salad. Up-charged on a side without letting us know. Just awful time, especially considering the price and in contrast with the Mt. Pleasant location--which my fiancé and I love.

Opon walking in, the vibe is very welcoming and laid back. The staff is super friendly at this location, welcoming you with a smile. Our waitress was very accommodating to my gluten allergy as well. This place is definitely a must go to! We recently moved to Summerville from James Island and we of course are looking for good breakfast joints (breakfast is my favorite meal!) First watch not only never disappoints but is also gluten free friendly! *bonus points for this* They ask when your order gluten free if it's a preference or an allergy. And when you are like my and say allergy, it comes with an "allergy flag"! I say this is beyond thoughtful that they put this detail on their food. The gluten free French toast with their blueberry chutney is AMAZING and their million dollar bacon is a must!! Such amazing flavors that pairs together. Corey got the chicken chunga today and it didn't disappoint. It was full of flavor as well as fulfilling! I didn't get picture of their mimosas, but they are on point. They are brought to you with a small glass of orange juice and a mini bottle of champagne, the perfect mixture for the perfect mimosa! I also got a Blue Booster to go. It's a fresh juice made of blueberry, fuji apple, lemon and basil. I added a wellness shot to mine (for free)! It's very refreshing and delicious! First Watch is definitely one of our go to breakfast places and we highly recommend them to all!

First watch has come a long way since eating it as a kid in Florida. I had no idea that they serve liquor drinks now. I got the an alcoholic cold brew with rum, Oatmilk and cinnamon. It was super tasty! For the food I got a breakfast sandwich with crispy potatoes. The service was fast and friendly. Would recommend for a casual breakfast!

Pineapple express juice has no alcohol and it is basically a pineapple juice, sweet but not too crazy. I enjoyed the food here. I would come here again.

First time visiting this location. Party of 1 and was able to sit at the bar. They had apparently been very busy because there were still remnants of previous diners, but it didn't take long for the young lady working that area to clean it off. I ordered a Pomegranate Sunrise, water, Floridian French Toast, and a side of bacon. Everything was tasty. The fruit on the French toast was nice and fresh. The brunch cocktail was made just right. Too bad they close at 2:30 because I could see myself stopping here after work for a beverage.

My husband and I are here almost weekly! This spot is such a sweet diner. We love the breakfast plates and pancakes. Particularly the blueberry lemon ricotta pancakes. Always really busy on weekends but the turn around time is quick. The interior is insanely clean and the service is great! Affordable and good quality ingredients

It was so good I had to go back! The Brunch bowl is what I order both times ( I wish I tried something else) and the "grit balls" were delicious. Service was fast and prompt even with a full house. And the woman at the counter (she was in the kitchen and ran food, greeted guests as they pick up their food, possibly a chef) was EXTREMELY nice and outgoing. She seemed to really enjoy her position and kept order in the kitchen. Food was delicious if I haven't already said so, so much flavor, a Carolina quality kinda spot! I highly recommend to anyone looking for an exceptional, yet casual place to dine. Thank you Grit Counter!

The parking lot was packed, and most tables were already taken when we walked in, which is always a good sign. You order at the counter and then grab a seat while they bring the food out to you. The menu is extensive, with plenty of dishes built around grits (as the name suggests). I went with the chicken and waffles, and it was loaded with flavor--crispy fried chicken breasts, a Belgian waffle, chunks of bacon, and a blueberry compote on the side. The whole plate was enormous; I definitely didn't finish it. My husband ordered the fried chicken and fish platter with French fries, and it was equally generous in size. We also started with the grit fritters as an appetizer, and they were fantastic--crispy on the outside and a nice surprise inside. Overall, the food was really on point with big, satisfying portions. The waitstaff seemed super busy but stayed friendly and attentive. The only downside for me was having to bus your own table at the end. Prices for lunch felt a little high at first glance, but when you consider the huge portions, they're pretty reasonable. We'll definitely be heading back soon.

Our Guides were knowledgeable & wonderful communicators for the tours we selected for our visit. The history of Middleton Place is fascinating & the relationship the Middleton owners had with the French botanist , André Michaux, is well documented & at least one of the four camellias of the "Reine des Fleurs" variety he brought to the plantation, in 1786, still survives in the gardens today. The grounds , during the off season ( February ) were well maintained. And there were still some flowers to be enjoyed on the camellias. It was quite chilly as the plantation is next to an inlet to the sea, so if visiting in winter wear appropriate clothing as tour is mostly outside. We did enjoy the onsite restaurant as well - serving a 3 course meal with selections that meet most diners palates. Our highlights included visiting the stables & getting a true historical & respectful description from one of our guides on the slave period experienced at Middleton Place. Our waiter was very attentive to our large party and food was brought out rather quickly. My biggest complaint was that food. I love eggs Benedict and a crab cake, so I had to make the obvious choice to get the crab cake eggs Benedict. The grits were very smooth and buttery with no lumps! The fried green tomato was fried to perfection but it didn't have much seasoning. It was beneath the crab cake, so maybe that's why it wasn't seasoned well. Also, the toast was really good. Idk what kind of toast you he had on the side but it went well with the jelly! My biggest gripe was the start of the show--the crabcake. It did not taste like a real crab cake AT ALL It tasted like a crab cake from a box with a lot of breading which was disappointing. Also, the breading on the crumb cake made it so crunchy to where I thought I was eating a chicken tender. Also, the sauce on top tasted weird and didn't complement any of the flavors on the plate. Overall, the experience was not bad. The menu is vast so I may be inclined to return to try other options. I just would not try the crabcake again.
