This is my greasy obsession when visiting the Southern US. It's never actually clean, but the food is so sinfully good and unhealthy, that I will let that slide during my four visits per year . Service is good- attentive without extras. read more

the last few times i've been here the food has been so nasty. idk who this new crew is but they need another one. they are friendly when you walk in but my God the food is so garbage sausage either over or under cooked. eggs running off the dam plate! i think the location is actually pretty clean. but stop being slack i miss getting my all star read more

Ok I want to give credit where credit is due. We went to Waffle House on a Sunday as many were getting out of church. I know big mistake... however, it wasn't! Our server Rose greated us right away. I wasn't super hungry and just wanted a waffle. My husband got their 2 egg breakfast plate. With how busy it was, we did not wait long for anything! My husbands meal came out without his sausage, which Rose was quite apologetic and assured us she would get it right out, which she did. The restaurant was clean, and the employees had great interaction with their customers. I watched a gentleman choking around with an older guy, sitting by himself at the bar counter, and you could tell it made that guy's day. We will definitely go back to this location and hopefully we will get Rose to be our server again. read more

Hash browns are the best here! Not too crowded, but extra small space here. Service was pretty decent here, but ensure that they fry the mushrooms with the hashbrowns and not Adam on the top as they were a little bit undercooked. read more

Honestly super disappointed with my experience here! I'm from Seattle and was looking forward to my once a year Waffle House experience. Our server was extremely unkind. We asked for a Shirley Temple and she was condescending and demeaning about the ingredients included in a Shirley Temple. No cherry sauce, no problem. However, when we asked for a plain Sprite it arrived with a little bug, which no problem! Not the servers fault. However, when we asked for a new one, she huffed and puffed, shook her head, and rolled her eyes. We were pretty put off by her attitude towards us because we were trying to give her the benefit of the doubt. We felt like the best thing to do was to go elsewhere. We didn't catch her name, but she was wearing black glasses with gauges and a lip ring. Not sure if she had an off night, but it was unfortunate that she chose to take it out on us. Really hope this changes moving forward. Waffle House is a staple! read more

On National waffle day I met EW and her daughter here to celebrate. It was very quiet there and we let the employees know what day it was. They had no idea! You'd hope that corporate would let their employees know it was the national celebration of their restaurants namesake!!! We each had waffles and hash browns and leftovers. My hash browns were pretty burnt around the edges but the waffle was great. Per usual this location was A-OK and satisfied what we were set out to accomplish. read more

Stopped for a quick bite before a movie. We had been here once before & didn't have issues, so we didn't expect any issues this time. Well this time wasn't as good. I ordered the Texas bacon cheese steak melt with hash browns. It literally had no flavor - none whatsoever. The cheese on my sandwich wasn't melted & my hash browns were kinda soggy. I mean....it's Waffle House, so it isn't expected to be fancy, but it can still taste good. Unfortunately, this one did not :( read more

First, there were 2 employees sitting at a table. And EVERY other table in the restaurant was dirty. The floors were spotted with grease and dirt. Second- there was trash all in the parking lot. THE ABSOLUTE WORST EXPERIENCE EVER!!! I'm sooooo disappointed in the staff here. I have been to this location several times and I haven't had any issues. I went it to place a to-go order at noon. I sat down and waited and waited and waited. After about 30 minutes, I approached the counter and still waited for someone to address me. Once the waitress who took my order came over, I said I wanted to check on my to-go order. Long story short, somehow my order was missed! She said she'd called it out to the cook. The cook said she never finished. Ok, no problem. Well now I expect my order to be placed in the front since I've been waiting....nope, clearly my expectations were too high. I had to wait another 10 mins because it was placed at the back of the line. So I asked if there was a manager on duty and I politely asked if I could speak to her. And actually she was standing in the middle of the entire exchange between the waitress and cook...she was working the line/prepping the food. Well, clearly she saw what took place with my order so this discussion should be a simple one....I told her I was disappointed with my experience and didn't expect to wait 40 mins for a to-go order. She said she understood and that's why they were going to comp my order and turned around to go back to the prepping. She just blew me off. Well my order was bagged up and handed to me. I took everything out the bag and double checked it. Then I told the nice young man at the counter that I would like to speak to Brittany (the manager) once again. So he tapped her and said "the lady with the take out order...". Before he could finish his sentence, she interrupted and said "we already paid for her food." Then he said, she would like to talk to you again. So I waited once more for her to come over. I explained to her that I'm a paying customer and not charging me isn't going to fix the issue....that I just wanted to address my concerns with her but she blew me off. Her response...she decided not to charge me for my meal because she didn't have the time to sit down and have a long drawn out conversation with me...that she would have other customers, other than myself, upset with her if they didn't get their food. HA!!! Ok, cool. So I asked if she had the number to the corporate office. She said she doesn't have it memorized and that I could find it on the sticker on the door. I said I would call them, have a nice day. Decent customer service is an expectation! I won't be back. read more

We came in for a cheap and quick bite and got what we paid for. The service we fast and it was decently clean for a Waffle House. The food came quick but after that it went down hill. On a better note, the coffee was hot and fresh..... that was until I got the second cup. read more

It's Waffle House... anything else beyond that is not required. It's decent food, hard to screw up eggs and toast, and the bacon is consistently burnt; the griddle is turned up too high but what do I know and shame on me for saying anything. I'll be back, I like the wait staff, always friendly and smiling but the cook should welcome feedback when presented. read more

I visit Waffle House frequently. Today at this store was the worst I have ever experienced. I sat at the counter and was the only person at the counter. I waited five minutes before anyone acknowledged my presence. A waitress asked if I wanted coffee while I waited. The coffee came and I waited another ten minutes before deciding to leave the second time. The waitress saw me looking in my wallet to pay for the coffee and came and took my order. I waited another ten minutes then saw my order sitting on the ledge in front of the cook. It sat there For another twelve minutes before the waitress bought it to me. The toast was not there yet and was delivered after I finished eating. Of course the food was not hot. I ate what I could and paid the bill and left. read more

Past experiences have been pretty normal or even weird But my boyfriend, our best friend from the west coast and I went last night and our waitress was nothing but wonderful. Sadly I forgot her name but I do remember it was her first night back after five years and she was so sweet. She kept calling us things like "sugarfoot" and she was just amazing and definitely someone I'd want as an older sister or friendThank you for your great service and kindness! read more

The only reason I come here is for the food, not the service. We were here at 1:20 on on a Sunday, my wife spoke up loud enough for them to hear, do we need to come up to the counter to order. The only person that responded was another customer, who told the waitress we were waiting, the waitress responded, Very slowly and she was not the friendliest. We ordered, I received my waffle 1st and had enough time to eat it before the rest of our meal came. My first cup of coffee was so strong I couldn't drink it. My wife never received her bacon. This is the waffle house on Dorchester and Larson road, last time we come here, the one on trolley road is the best. read more

My daughter and I were there for dinner. Horrible health standards. Watched a waitress handle money, then immediately pick up and butter my toast. When I mentioned it she sucked her teeth and washed her hands. Watched another be told they ordered water instead of tea. She held the ice in the cup with her hands while pouring the tea out. Proceeded to fill the glass with water. I told the other diner what happened and they left. I mean how hard is it to wash your hands? Will not return! read more

Breakfast for lunch was awesome. Our lunch came quickly and with friendly service.

I just walked out of this Waffle House and left my food on the table uneaten. My patty melt was burnt. I had had browns on my plate that I didn't order. My husband asked for scattered and covered hash browns and they had no cheese on them. The cook took them back and put a cold piece of cheese on it like that was acceptable. My sons food was fine and he ate it. We paid for my sons food and our drinks and left. read more

Let's be honest...Waffle House isn't known for being the most clean or most spacious of restaurants, but it is delicious in a greasy, I'll-pay-for-this-later kind of way. Had I read the reviews I would have gone to a different location. Like the other reviewers, I had a bad experince here. I would not recommend my friends & family to this location. I dropped in for lunch and was not greeted, unsanitary, staff walked out while I was eating, wasn't asked by the waitress how my meal was if I wanted anything else. Although the food tasted ok I could not wait to leave...didn't finish my meal. read more

Waffle House - Though the food was ok, the service was horrible. (where is the staff?) Will not be returning to this location. - Diners Near Me - Summerville, South Carolina

I would give it zero stars if I could. Sat down and we were brought dirty silverware with food crusted on it. They burnt our waffles, came over and told us they had to make them again. Then burnt them a second time. We finally just walked out. Horrible experience. It's the WAFFLE house and they can't even make waffles. read more

1 star is very generous. The place was mostly empty, but somehow filthy. I ordered some eggs over easy, but the whites were no where near set. Prolly not safe to eat. Waffle, under cooked and quite gooey. Prolly not safe to eat. Hash browns, somehow not under cooked, but burned. The only thing safe to eat, but not pleasant at all. Service was timely, but terrible. We never had anyone check on us so that we could havve any issues corrected. if you need to lose 10 pounds this weekend, order some eggs and a waffle, otherwise... just eat your money, it's safer. read more

Zero stars if possible! The staff was very demanding on how many people could sit together even when they were all together. Couldn't even get a place to sit to eat in order to rate the food. It looked like a two month old dyslexic squirrel decided which seats were "safe" to sit in. You can't put your backs together; clearly for an intelligent reason...something like coughing out of your brain stem or something super smart. Buuuuuut you can sit directly next to each other at the bar. Weird. On top of all the security afore mentioned, the waitresses had it on lockdown with their dedicated perseverance of taking one individual item at a time to clear a previously occupied table. Honestly, hats off to their honest and dedicated work keeping everyone safe. read more

Worst waffle house I've ever been to. Took 20 minutes just to get drinks. Employees arguing about who's going to cook. Stupid music played by the employees drowning out the jukebox. so I working late that night and I decided to go to the waffle house near my work place. The restaurant was complete empty meaning no customers. When I got in there and I asked if they were open. The guy say "sit anywhere you like." The people are very friendly but the entrance way is very creepy to go in. Is like an S symbol. The tables there was so dirty that I can barely eat. The food was good. While I was eating I see ants on my table and it was crawling up on my arm. I just hope they do some pest control and clean the place up. In my entire life eating with this company I have never seen a waffle house is dead on a weekends. Every waffle house I have been in to in Atlanta and the other side of Summerville SC is very busy. I am not coming back to this restaurant to eat again. read more

Just awful. This place has turned to crap I'd give it 0 stars if I could. Dirty? Very, my cup was obviously not even washed with grease stains I could wipe off with my napkin Service? Awful, didn't even get my sandwich after waiting 30 minutes while the store was pretty empty Employees who obviously don't give a crap and seem high, I imagine it's the management that causes all this.
