    A cocktail at the bar

We went for happy hour and it was fantastic. The drinks were truly craft cocktails, so pretty and tasted so good! The service was phenomenal and the interior design of the place is so cute. It's perfect for photos (I wish I had taken more, but we were having too much fun trying our drinks)

I feel like I'm a Barbie girl should be playing when you enter this establishment. The ultimate girly girl's dream. An explosion of pink, flowers, cocktails and snacks. Pink and flowers are my jam. The decor is beautiful and stunning! So pretty and whimsical. I would reserve this space for a birthday party or a girl's night out. Great ice cream, shakes, drinks and charcuterie. Excited to try the entrees next.

The inside is gorgeous! It was empty when I went in. I did not try much but I did have the lemoncello cake that was amazing. It was light and moist, I will come back to try more food items.

What a fun experience! Great service and good milkshakes and food! The breakfast burrito was very good. Would love to come back and do the tea service!

Dulce reminds me of the song "Life Could Be Sweet" by Ayla D'lyla and Miss Madelaine! It's so fresh, poppy, and pleasing to the eye! I wanted everything on the menu from the churros to the cocktails! There's something for all ages which is great for the community plus the hours have a wide range. I run into the problem of local coffee shops closing around 4pm but now found a local spot to support! The interior is ultra girly which speaks to my soul - love the velvet seating and light fixtures. When ya walk in there's 2 areas to order, just depends on what you're looking for. If it's cocktails - head to the bar! For everything else like sweet and savory food, it's by the ice cream display. Once you pay, you're given a vibrating disk that alerts when the order is ready. You can sit anywhere, don't worry about the "reserved" signs - in fine print it says reserved for patrons so that's fine once you're all ordered. I got the Cuban sandwich which had a nice side salad with lemony vinaigrette dressing. For my cocktails I wasn't sure what I wanted - they all sounded so delightful! Maria helped me out and suggested if you're into blueberries, the Juliette is the way to go! I loved the lightness of the foamy top. The next one I knew I had to try thanks to seeing some snazzy photos on Yelp: the cherry blossom (I'm a sucker for cotton candy and glitter!). The splash of Prosecco curbed the overly sweet taste which I liked, went down nicely. I truly can't wait to try more goodies at Dulce! The ice cream will be superb in the coming summer months and the espresso drinks will be a much-needed pick-me-up for the late afternoons. I noticed they're quite busy so the extra staff would benefit from that by feeling less stress. I can imagine a new spot like Dulce getting loads of attention because it's such a unique spot. Keep up the good work!

Such an adorable aesthetic this place has. You can order a whole part of churros with different dipping sauces. They also have breakfast lunch and dinner items as well as a cocktail bar with some very fun drinks on the menu. They also have coffee. I had an espresso when it was very good.

There is so much potential for the place but it missed the mark. The food was okay but the service was horrible. We did not even receive a smile or a hello. The açaí bowl we ordered was literally in a plastic bowl. The food is just too expensive for the workers to not be kind and our food to come out in the plastic still. It is also self serving so you have to throw away your own trash and walk up to order, but the employees still expect a 20% tip. The decor is getting old and worn as well. A few changes and this place could be great. I will not be returning though.

Literally the best ice cream I've ever had. The service was great too! The atmosphere was very cute and fun. I wished there were more umbrellas up with the outdoor seating. I will be back for sure, it's amazing.

this place is cute but way too pricey for what you get and not super clean. I mean you have to order at the counter and they don't bring it out, it took 25 minutes to get served when there was no one else in there which was interesting. The crepe was cold :( Had high hopes but don't think we would come back. Cute photo opps and maybe if u just want some ice cream?

How cute is this place?!? All of your Insta-dreams can come true here. Even the restroom is totes adorable. Take plenty of pics and videos while you're here! Also, don't forget the main reason you're there--the food and drinks! There are a great variety of sweet treats, yummy eats, and picture-worthy sips at Dulce. For my first visit, I had the Pesto Panini. Mom had the Skinny Omelette. We also enjoyed the Fuego and Cherry Blossom and shared a mimosa flight. I'm so glad this is an option near home, and I know it will be super popular. Welcome to the neighborhood!

Dulce was so cute and charming. A cute venue in Mt pleasant with girly accents. This was the perfect space to host the Bridgerton event and I was so in love with the decor. The themed party had everybody dressed in their best attire and looking quite regal. The staff were all smiles and the owner was most helpful with all our needs. I got to connect with awesome people here and try fabulous drinks and sweets while being cute in my dress and tiara. I will certainly come back when I'm in the mood for something sweet!

Great restaurant, very much geared towards instagrammability. The milkshakes were great- although there are no photos, I wasn't aware these were "fancy" milkshakes. Definitely only need 1 for 2 people. They have lots of ice cream and sorbet options as well as other desserts that look great. I'll return to try some other items on the menu.

My husband had brought home some delicious chocolate covered cake balls from here for my birthday not too long ago. They were delicious but this past weekend I was able to go in person. What a treat! It is so cute inside. I loved the atmosphere and the service I received was excellent. All the ladies working were friendly and helpful even though it was very busy with a huge line. I had a scrumptious churro sundae. I'll definitely be back to try more desserts and the cocktails that looked fabulous.

I also love the interior color used, as it is warm and relaxing. We like to sit at the booth bars, as they are just 2 tops, but give an added privacy by the design. Lola Rose features a comforting and approachable menu of big, seasonal salads, wood-fired pizzas, housemade pastas, local seafood and traditional mains. At the bar, classic favorites are served alongside creative spritzes and cocktails, local beer, and a wine list that focuses on Mediterranean and coastal American winemakers. Plus Lola Rose is the second concept from James Beard award-nominated chef Kevin Johnson and his wife Susan, who opened The Grocery in downtown Charleston in 2011. We have had the pleasure of seeing him in action and he is always approachable to the guests. We have visited Lola Rose several times and enjoyed many menu items. The rosemary focaccia is always a must order. Other great starters are the arancini, Sicilian meatballs, and our favorite is the roasted beets. Another great option to start is with a pizza, they have 9 different pizzas to choose from. Then an appropriate entree would be a pasta dish, we like the rigatoni verde and the bucatini. Note their pastas are all made in house. On our most recent visit we ordered the seasonal Softshell Crab special, and it was impressive and more delicious then expected. We appreciate that they had this item during the softie season, and this tops our list. Don't forget dessert as the budino and limencello cake are delicious sweet endings. Lola Rose makes going to downtown Charleston un-necessary, and it's location is easy to get to with plenty of parking. The service and the menu make it worth the visit, and we would recommend to all.

The manager also seems to recognize us every time we come in, no matter how long it's been since our last visit, which is a nice personal touch. The open kitchen adds a fun element to the experience. One of our favorites is the orecchiette ragu pasta -- we always ask for extra sauce, and it's absolutely delightful. We were a little disappointed that the calamari wasn't available on this visit, but we still really enjoyed the arancini, which are served with a wonderful tomato dipping sauce. We've honestly never had a bad meal here. My husband tried the shrimp pasta dish this time and really enjoyed it -- it had a nice little bit of spice that added great flavor without being overpowering. Overall, the fresh pastas, pizzas, and appetizers are all great choices. They also offer a fun happy hour with discounted appetizers and drinks. Definitely a place worth stopping into, and next time we're hoping to enjoy the outside patio when the weather is a little warmer.

We registered beforehand online for the Beginners open play from 2 to 4 on Monday. We were disappointed to find out that nobody else had registered to play on Monday. We were happy to have Tracy (an employee) come join us for a few games. We had an absolute beginner with us and two of us that have been playing for a good amount of time. So we really needed a 4th player! So thanks for joining us Tracy! This place is way more than just a pickleball business. There are two bars inside and many self-pour electronic beer dispensers. They serve food, although I didn't get to see the menu because they were hidden behind the bar and none were on display anywhere else. They have arcade games lined up along the middle of the venue. I saw a bunch of kids upstairs on the 2nd level playing video games on a TV monitor. Speaking of TVs, there are many upstairs to watch sports/shows. The upstairs is filled with tables and chairs to eat & hang-out. I hear they have some fun game nights for families on Friday nights. I heard this place has been open for two years. The staff was very friendly. They have 2 dartboards inside located in the back corner, and a smaller wall with more automated beer pour stations. I wish we could've checked out the Margarita Monday play! They have open play from 6 to 10 AM during the week, we're gonna go back and check that out. it was about a 40 minute drive from Charleston to this location for us. We will definitely be back to play while I'm in town! Try this place out for air conditioned play during the hot & humid summer!

There were a few amazing dishes, some good dishes, 1 miss, and 1 that was just awful. The service was super friendly, but the timing was off a tad. We waited a good bit of time between the 1st and 2nd course, but then the 3rd course came out before we had 2 bites of the 2nd. After that the timing was much better. The restaurant itself is large and nice, but does not give off a cozy vibe, and we felt too close to our neighbors. I wasn't sure if I should do the meal review from good to bad dish, or by course, but decided it makes sense to the latter Starting with the Aperitivo course, we both got the Scallop crudo. The wife and I disagreed on this dish, as I enjoyed the aroma of and taste of the fried capers, and thought lemon added a nice touch of acid. However, I thought the dish needed either more capers or salt as the sauce was bland and there were not enough capers to make up for it. For the Antipasti I had the Seafood Arancini which was a crispy, golden Italian rice balls consisting of a mix of lump crab meat, Miss Paula shrimp (which upon looking up is from the seafood market at Tarvin Seafood), along with scallops, mascarpone, and creme fraiche aioli. This was an OK dish The wife ordered the Sicilian Octopus, with summer squash, zucchini, smoked pecan romesco. Here is another dish we disagreed on, but only because my wife has decided she does not like Octopus. I on the other hand loved it and thought the dish was great. The meat was tender and had a great char flavor. There were two sauces, one was a romesco and the was green (I think pesto) that the wife and I both really enjoyed. For the Zuppa y insalata course I had the Lobster bisque with sherry cream, crispy focaccia crouton. I took the 1st bite and immediately knew it was good; however, I had to send it back because it was served room temperature at best. Upon having it reheated, I thought this was easily one of the best Lobster bisques ever. The flavors were bold and spicy, but not so bold that I could not taste the lobster. The wife ordered the Seafood salad. Another dish with Miss Paula shrimp, bay scallops and pieces of calamari, supposedly topped with lemon herb vinaigrette. We both agreed this dish was bland, bland, followed by more blandness. There was no salt, no acid from the Lemon Vinaigrette and not a whiff of spice or taste from the herbs. It was just Scallops, a few pieces of calamari and some thinly sliced shrimp with zero flavor. For the Secondo course I had the Scallop risotto, with fire roasted peppers, sweet corn, crispy pancetta, and parmigiano. Here we go another amazing dish. The Scallops were cooked perfectly, and the risotto was loaded with flavor. The fire roasted peppers with sweet corn just added extra pop. The dish was made more pleasing to the eye with a ring of green sauce halfway around the risotto and the other half with a red sauce. There was so much flavor in the risotto, I could not tell if it added flavor or not, but it was clearly added to the visual aspect. Here is where the meal really took a hit as the wife ordered the Grilled branzino mediterranean sea bass, with charred broccolini, potatoes, artichokes, fresh herb oil, yellow tomato vinaigrette. When I took a small bite my first reaction was OH NO, I don't think she is going to like this. When I took a second bite, I realized it was uneatable. The skin on the fish was a bit tough and Slimy making it hard to cut. The fish was covered in a sauce that was just gross and not eatable. The only good thing about this dish was the charred broccolini which we both agreed was good. After that Sea Bass we were both done and decided to get the Dolce course to go. I ordered the Tiramisu cheesecake which we both enjoyed when we got home. The wife's Limoncello cake which was an olive oil cake soaked in limoncello, sweet cranberries with orange marmalade, was OK but neither of us would order again. So here we are with a tale of two dinners experience. Except for the 1st dish, we both thought everything I ordered was really good, but on the other hand, the wife didn't like anything she ordered, while I really loved the octopus, thought her Antipasti And Dolce dishes were just OK, the Seafood salad was tasteless, and the Sea Bass was just awful.

We walked in and the place was emptier than a church on a Wednesday night, yet somehow we were told to head on over to the bar, wait for a table, and go ahead and order ourselves a drink. Didn't make much sense, but we did as we were told. Then we stood there a good 10 minutes while the bartender, who let us know he's studying to be a dentist up in Spartanburg, was busy chatting away with another customer like we weren't even there. When he finally got around to us, it felt like we were more of an inconvenience than paying customers. But the real kicker came after we finally got our drinks. The manager came up, and I kid you not, told us we had to leave the restaurant and go out to the parking lot to finish them. No explanation, just attitude, and not a polite one either. To be honest, the manager seemed like she might have had a little too much Easter spirit, if you catch my drift. The whole interaction was downright combative and made us feel completely unwelcome. What really got me, though, was the poor hostesses and waitstaff. They apologized to us over and over and quietly let us know this kind of situation is something they deal with on a daily basis. We even heard her speaking sharply to another customer, which made it clear this wasn't just a one time issue. Honestly, the whole experience felt like a bad trip to the dentist and cost about the same as a root canal. All in all, it was a mess from start to finish, rude, confusing, and about as un Southern hospitality as you can get. I would think twice before going back, y'all.
