Visiting from out of town from Las Vegas, and I couldn't wait to check out these indoor courts! There are 8 courts inside. We registered beforehand online for the Beginners open play from 2 to 4 on Monday. We were disappointed to find out that nobody else had registered to play on Monday. We were happy to have Tracy (an employee) come join us for a few games. We had an absolute beginner with us and two of us that have been playing for a good amount of time. So we really needed a 4th player! So thanks for joining us Tracy! This place is way more than just a pickleball business. There are two bars inside and many self-pour electronic beer dispensers. They serve food, although I didn't get to see the menu because they were hidden behind the bar and none were on display anywhere else. They have arcade games lined up along the middle of the venue. I saw a bunch of kids upstairs on the 2nd level playing video games on a TV monitor. Speaking of TVs, there are many upstairs to watch sports/shows. The upstairs is filled with tables and chairs to eat & hang-out. I hear they have some fun game nights for families on Friday nights. I heard this place has been open for two years. The staff was very friendly. They have 2 dartboards inside located in the back corner, and a smaller wall with more automated beer pour stations. I wish we could've checked out the Margarita Monday play! They have open play from 6 to 10 AM during the week, we're gonna go back and check that out. it was about a 40 minute drive from Charleston to this location for us. I cannot sing this places praises enough. It is just so fun to come here! They have cheap pickleball court rentals, arcade games, darts, lounge space, a full bar, and full food menu. And the food menu honestly impressed me! They have huge variety of dishes for everyone imaginable. Another thing I love here is that the beer and wine is self serve with a reloadable card. As your quintessential "picks up pickleball during COVID with mediocre talent," this is the best place to come play with friends, while also enjoying some arcade games & drinks. Pickleball is now all the craze and way up in Mount Pleasant, There is crush yard! It's a bit out of the way, but the location provides for a lot of real estate space indoors. There are a ton of courts that can be checked out per hour. They do have a very cool RFID self pour bar and a pretty cool kitchen food notification system. Very technologically savvy. The courts can be a little pricey if you come during peak hours, especially since Pickleball has been previously kind of a free thing. But it is great if you don't have the gear which they have available for use. Also, if it's rainy it's indoors so if you have to get your Pickleball fixed in, here it is. They also do happy hour for drinks. It does appear you can get a membership or join a league as well. That would be something I might do if I lived closer but otherwise, this is probably just for the occasional spot for me. Definitely check it out, but remember to stay out of the kitchen! read more

I'm torn on this review, from a pickleball and kids gaming perspective this place is pretty cool. However from a food and drink standpoint it's subpar. The food is your basic bar food but even less than stellar and the drinks at least the ones we had are terrible. I would suggest they raise their game on specialty cocktails and make them with fresh ingredients. Add more items to the food menu with less fried options. The food was good (bar style food) I loved the sliders and the sweet potato waffle fries. The courts and equipment are clean, everyone is super friendly! The Crush Yard is a massive indoor Pickleball facility located in N. Mt. Pleasant, near Costco & Roper Mt. Pleasant Hospital in an outdoor Mall area in front of Charleston National neighborhood. We went for Team Trivia and did therefore not play Pickleball . We were located in a massive seating area upstairs. Everything is automated, ordering food & beverages via your phone. This facility is an ideal spot for children's parties, work night outs, etc. I'm not sure about the whole membership thing but the place was packed with players and children. It kinda reminded me of a more upscale YMCA spot with the addition of food and beverages. The food was fine, typical bar food, once you get a text on your phone you go down stairs to the food counter & bring the food to your table. We got a selection of appetizers & non alcoholic beverages for the table & our check was just short of $100. Pricey to say the least. read more

They arranged for two courts adjacent to a seating area so that whether guests were playing or not they felt like part of the action. Let's start with location. It's on the outskirts of Mount Pleasant. It's very spacious with space downstairs and upstairs. There's games for children or people that do not want to play. I did not get any food or drinks though. It's $30 per person on a court. They offer classes based on your skill level. You have to buy the balls (if you do not take the class), but you're provided a paddle. I would recommend bringing your own paddle and balls though. I enjoyed myself and I would return! read more

I took my two boys and girlfriend here for a Pickleball 101 class. I thought it was awesome. Though we didn't order any food -- we were just there to play pickleball -- I was jealous of those that had food. Our pickleball pro was awesome. He was great with me and my two boys (11 and 9) and though I'd played a little bit before, I finally learned how to really keep score and play. I feel confident that I could play a real game now. The experience was really fun. I only wish that paddle rental was included in a pickleball 101 class -- seems strange that they assume people that don't know how to play would have equipment. Drinks...was an interesting concept. ( I don't drink so this is from our friend) The alcohol is purchased by getting a card from the back. Then you have access to numerous beer/alcohol taps. Apparently the options for beer were numerous. Our friend also tried a cranberry and vodka drink. She said that it did not seem like there was any vodka at all. The alcohol is sold by the ounce and you control how many ounces you "pour". Location...We travelled from West Ashley...it was a trek! Service...The greeter at the front desk was very helpful and friendly. The kitchen crew was also very friendly. Everything else was pretty much self service. It was my first foray into pickle ball. We had so much fun the first day we went, eating lunch and playing pickleball, that we came back the next night for trivia and dinner!
