Stopped by for breakfast while staying in the (Langham) hotel. I had experienced some disruptions during my hotel stay and was admittedly a bit cranky from the early wake up due to noisy guests. The host asked how my stay was and I didn't complain-just said it was 'okay.' Most people would have just ignored that. Instead, he asked questions and I told him my first world woes. He wanted to help but I advised that someone was already engaged in this issue. I noticed he spoke to my server and I suspected he told her I had some challenges. She was extra friendly and helpful with suggestions. After I ordered, the host brought over a complimentary fruit plate. It was beautiful. I couldn't eat it all but my server packed it to go- it was the freshest fruit I've had all winter. My lobster eggs Benedict was good- not a large portion of lobster but tasty. Beautiful space and friendly service would bring me back.

this place is so pretty! the ambiance with the christmas decor makes it amazing vibe for brunch. They had a fair selection of vegetarian and non veg options. Our food also came out really fast with good attention to detail. Overall great brunch place!

I stayed at The Langham hotel and was here for breakfast. Had a bit of a wait time (20 mins) when I first got there on a Sunday, but they were nice about it and let us bring our coffee in that we got while waiting. Food was expensive (~$90 for everything pictured with tax/tip) for breakfast/brunch, but it was good for what it was though nothing mind blowing. The waitress did mix up the checks when she provided my bill at the end, but she was apologetic and nice about it. Overall a good experience with good service, decent food, and a nice location

Stayed at the Langham and had breakfast credit from Amex so we ate at the Grana and its absolutely beautiful inside. The food was great as well. Service was amazing our waiters were super attentive. I ordered the pastry basket and the croissants were amazing and flaky. It is a bit pricey if youre paying out of pocket. I wish they gave a few more potatoes with the breakfasts but other than that everything was amazing.

I had the most fantastic experience here celebrating my hunny's birthday. It is located inside of the Langham Hotel, which is a beautiful luxurious hotel in downtown Boston. There is no open lot parking, so you are restricted to street or valet parking. When you enter the hotel someone will guide you to the restaurant which is a small walk from the lobby area of the hotel. The restaurant is absolutely GORGEOUS! Beautifully decorated for Christmas, the walls are lined with pictures of previous presidents and the whole aesthetic is very posh. Our waiter was so sweet and kind, and was prompt in taking our orders and discussing the specials of the day. My man ordered the lobster roll with fries and I got a pasta dish. Both were absolutely delicious. I also ordered some kind of pear mimosa and it was the most wonderful way to start of my time there. My ONLY hang up is that their menu is heavily salad based - like they seem to have a lot of salad entrees which isn't bad but a girl likes carbs lols. Other than that, had the most wonderful time and definitely recommend.

Wow, wow, wow! We were in town visiting family and came in for Brunch at Grana. Our group of 4 decided to order several different dishes so we could all share, and I'm so glad we did! From the Lemon cello French toast and Scottish eggs (with a delicious Dijon sauce and pickled mushrooms), to their unique take on Sausage gravy and biscuits (they serve it over pasta instead) and the show stopping Cannoli pancakes, each dish quickly became our favorite! Our server Jacque was so attentive and charming. And the pastry chef Richard even sent out a special dessert tray for us! If I lived in Boston, this place would be my go-to weekend ritual! Our kudos to the chef(s)!!

I had such an amazing brunch experience here! I went on my birthday and included that on my reservation notes. Upon check-in at the host stand they immediately asked me about the note and wished me a happy birthday! Every part of the service was amazing. Our waitress was kind and helpful. Then the manager(?) came over to ensure everything was going well and made kind offerings for my birthday :) this restaurant and hotel is so beautiful and the food is good too. I loved my guava mocktail and was so pleased they allowed me to customize the garnishes on top so I could add cotton candy! Such a great spot for a special occasion

Excellent brunch! Great food and cocktails. Historical setting. Waitress ervice was decent but under par considering price point and hotel quality. Def would go again.

I don't understand the dismal reviews for this beautiful brunch spot. I stayed at the hotel for three nights while in town for the Boston Half Marathon and had breakfast included so had breakfast and brunch here all three days. Each day was wonderful with excellent service, food, ambiance and timing of my tickets. I believe earlier issues have been seen in these reviews and addressed by management bc I was worried about all I had read and experienced none of it happened to me. My server the entire time, Jean, was polite, professional, prompt, around often, and all my food was out within minutes of order. My drinks never took longer than 5 minutes (including smoothies and hot tea) and my food never took longer than 10 minutes and I had a range of items. Over three days I tried: -Overnight Oats - served with strawberries, cacao and a hazelnut crunch -Almond Cinnamon and Berry Smoothies - fresh and yummy, nice size too -Egg Benedict - perfectly poached eggs, delicious bread, and perfectly cooked breakfast potatoes -Egg White Frittata - really really good! You can sub out mushrooms if needed. -Daily Danish/Muffin - ask for these warmed up! SUPER fresh and yummy. The danish when I was here was an apricot/almond and was stellar. I ordered it twice! -Hot Tea with cream / Dirty Chai Latte - both out in minutes and delish! -The Instagram Secret Milkshake - mine was a vanilla pumpkin pie creation. I had it after I ran the Boston Half Marathon - so fun. All my food was SO good! Warm, fresh, and out quickly. Service, down to the hostess, was wonderful and polite and prompt. I was never left looking for someone or waiting for my check. This restaurant is an old federal building and the elegance and charm has been preserved in the beautiful and classy ceiling and chandeliers, tabletop decor is gorgeous and classy as well. Highly, highly recommend. I'd come back in an instant! Prices are high - but it's a fancy hotel/establishment so I knew that going in (and my breakfast was mostly included in my stay).

The Benedict was amazing. Probably the best one I ever had! So delicious we want to be back already. Beautiful place and servers are very friendly. The only downside is the price. This was our brunch before we got married at city hall so we didn't mind it!

Note: only had the brunch. The vibe is really cool here - I love the historic space. Service was warm and friendly, and when our food was taking longer than expected - they brought us bakery items on the house. The food wasn't particularly great, especially for the price. My carbonara benedict came with only 4 small potatoes. The manicotti crepe was very thick, almost inedible - though the cured tomato was lovely. The Bloody Mary I ordered would've been great if they didn't let it sit and have the ice melt for 15 minutes at the bar. It was watery when I got it. The "Guava Be Kidding Me" drink was completely unbalanced. Cotton candy doesn't make for a very appropriate breakfast food - enough that's on us for ordering it. Wish we went somewhere else, to be honest.

Fun atmosphere and great history of the location. Brunch was good but the lobster cannoli and the affogato were easily my favorite bites! Our waiter was very friendly!

The Langham Boston is a fine historical landmark formerly housing the Federal Reserve Bank. These days, its former grand hall is now home to Grana. A sublime Itallian eatery where glamour meets worn-in authenticity carrying with it, an amazingly inviting atmosphere and ambiance. Grana is a wonderful place for a delicious breakfast to celebrate any of life's special occasions. And for myself, just so happens it was my birthday weekend The food was quite good with some dishes impressing more than others. Overall, Grana was a splendid kickstart to my birthday weekend celebration delivering a lovely combination of freshly vibrant foods, great service, and gorgeous views. Egg White Frittata roasted yam A bit on the healthier side for the folks are looking for something relatively light. The combination of the fried sage & fontina cheese pack a lovely flavor that makes this Egg White Frittata an absolute delight. Traditional Eggs Benedict Very traditional indeed. Nicely toasted & crunchy English muffins topped with house-made canadian bacon, poached eggs, hollandaise sauce and served with a side of very nicely seasoned crispy potatoes. Very satisfying moment when you cut into that poached egg expecting the yolk to simply pour out. And that is precisely what happened. Blueberry Pancakes A stack of extremely fluffy, light and airy blueberry pancakes served with real maple syrup. Fresh Baked Croissant Absolutely delicious and perfectly baked fresh croissant. Soft with that wonderful crunch on the outside and just the right amount of butter to deliver that incredible flavor you yearn from a fresh baked croissant. Served with a side of different house-made jams almost as good as how mother would make And then, there was the bar... I'm certain it must have been 12pm somewhere so I refuse to be judged!! Very creative cocktail menu offering a variety of spirits mixed to perfection and served with upmost finesse. Trust me, sit down for a drink at the bar.

One small thing -- maybe it was just me, but the entrance was a little difficult to find at first since it's mainly just a door from the outside. There were also tables seated very close to the entrance, which made it feel a bit cramped and awkward walking in and out. Our waiter was friendly and nice, though the service did feel a little rushed at times. That said, the food was absolutely delicious. We started with the calamari to share, and it was beautifully prepared -- crispy, fresh, and not overly heavy. For my entree, I ordered the seafood pasta and really loved it. The seafood tasted fresh, the pasta was cooked perfectly, and the flavors all came together really well.

The menu refers to these as "Greek cheese bread" but somehow that doesn't do it justice - these were immensely pillowy and cheesy, with an amazing crust, with homemade honey butter on the side. I could have had just these for dinner and been satisfied. They really nailed the bread. My other favorites: 1. Hipiti: spicy whipped feta with crispy potatoes on the side. I don't do well with spice but I absolutely loved this. 2. Marouli: winter lettuce with the most amazing vinaigrette dressing. My only knock to this is, presentation-wise, they serve it with half of the plate empty and the other half with salad. I don't understand why restaurants do this because - one, it only highlights the smaller portion and two, we're just going to mix the salad all around in the bowl anyway. 3. Boudeto: daily catch in a beautiful tomato broth. For a seafood dish at a restaurant in Back Bay, this was priced at a fairly reasonable $28. The only dish that fell a little flat for me was the tzatziki - needed a bit more seasoning. As it was, I was eating mostly just plain yogurt. The table-side preparation was cool, though. The space is its own visual dinner, there's simply a lot to look at (including a drawing of Poseidon riding a surf board). We got the big table in the back, which was a beautiful glass structure with a whole terrarium underneath. We couldn't stop marveling at it throughout the meal. Our waiter was wonderful - very helpful recommendations, came by to check on us often even though we were pretty far in the back, super patient with our questions. Hard to get reservations but worth it! Don't bother driving / trying to find parking unless you're willing to eat a hefty garage fee, it's Back Bay.

The bread had large air pockets, visibly soft, with a rich aroma of salt and milk; the olive oil was smooth and mellow, with a full-bodied fragrance, and the aftertaste even included a subtle, restrained hint of tea. Even knowing it's a calorie bomb, I couldn't resist dipping it in more. Baccala Mantecato: Classic Venetian flavor. The salted cod was tender and delicate, almost like a light foam, somewhere between raw silk and mousse; the dark bread was simple yet not coarse, perfectly balancing the saltiness of the cod. The most surprising thing was the refreshing aroma of celery leaves that emerged in the aftertaste, lingering and persistent. Lumache: When looking at the menu, seeing "chili butter, Jonah crab, breadcrumb," I never expected such a distinct citric acidity. The subtle acidity was gently enveloped in the fatty aroma of chili butter, perfectly complementing the umami and sweetness of the crab meat with just the right amount of spiciness. The lumache were firm and chewy, the sauce rich and smooth, and the breadcrumbs light and crisp, creating a rich and distinct texture. The portion was generous; even after microwaved the next day, the sauce had naturally broken down and the lemon's tartness had dissipated, but the noodles mixed with chili oil still had a unique flavor. Tiramisu: Highly renowned, and the staff were quite confident. The surface was covered with a thick layer of crispy cocoa nibs, the cake itself is incredibly soft and moist, and digging inside reveals an "underground river" of coffee liquid, while its bitterness was perfectly balanced by the sweet Marsala. The overall flavor was sweet and mellow, less bitter than typical tiramisu, with more layers of complexity. Actually, I was hoping for a slightly bitter version. Even on a weekday, it was packed with customers; by 5:10 PM, only one bar seat was left. Reservations are highly recommended. However, the bar was in a good location, with the bartenders being the easiest servers to find. It was a pleasant conversation with them.

The service is so friendly and seamless which in itself makes for a lovely evening. Highlights were the mussels, which were very fresh and delicious. The service here was attentive with the waiters offering more bread for the mussels. Most dishes are a little spicy, so if you don't like spice, make sure to note that with the waiter. The miso gelato is one of the most delicious savory/sweet desserts, and has lots of nice crunchy accents of the sesame crumble. Cocktails are fabulous, very smooth, as well as the mocktails. Cons: The crostini was nothing really special, and one of them came without the oyster butter. The meatballs, which were tasty but had a slightly hard texture on the outside. The prawn risotto was pretty one-note in flavor, and the prawn heads tasted overcooked and slightly off. The radiatore was spicy and nicely plated. The Cremoso al Cioccolato had a strange flavor profile that didn't quite fit, and had such a large salted chocolate-truffle section that we did not finish it (which is saying something)! Overall, if you are looking for a solid dinner in Boston that will guarantee be a nice experience because of the atmosphere, this is a good place.

Salty Pig Pizza: A pizza with the same name as the restaurant! Who was the genius who came up with the idea of salted pig and beer caramel? It's brilliant! The salted pork appears to include Prosciutto di Parma from Langirano, Prosciutto Cotto, and Salcissia. Baking rendered the prosciutto's fat, which blends with the caramel to create a beautiful golden syrup that flows across the pizza's surface. The prosciutto was savory, oily, and tender; the minced salcissia retains its coarse texture and rich meaty aroma; the caramel was sweet and mellow with a honey-like sweetness, forming the top, middle, and base notes respectively. The arugula was slightly warmed, losing its astringent and raw taste while maintaining its crisp texture, helped to cut through the richness together with the Parmesan cheese powder. The crust was crispy, while the inside the dough was soft and chewy. The cooking time and seasoning were all just right, and the restaurant's proud wooden oven added a charming smoky flavor. Affogato: I had high expectations, but it was just okay. The espresso was too sour, and the vanilla ice cream couldn't balance it out.
