It was the brisket curry reviews that enticed me to try this place! Flavor was great :) a little bit of Texas spice in a Thai curry. I also ordered Tom Kha soup which they made special for me with a seafood medley upgrade to this typical vegetarian soup. We ordered food to-go. Food was ready on time and piping hot! I don't know what took me so long to give this place a try!! This is literally a hidden gem! I live in San Marcos and let me tell you I dont mind making the drive up there. Got their beef basil stir fry (pad kra prao) and oh lord!!! I've never had something that good and authentic in a while! The guy was very helpful with the menu. This is the best Thai food in Central Texas. If you aren't familiar with Thai food, they will happily ease you into the flavors and walk you through the menu, making recommendations to fit your tastes. This place is so delicious. I traveled through Thailand for over a month and this place is better than most places I visited there. My boyfriend always gets the Pad Thai seafood dish comes with a plethora of shrimp, mussels, egg, noodles, etc and he loves that it actually has some spice to it. My top favorite is the Pad Kee Mao with street fried noodles. Yummmm. It has mushrooms, peppers, capers for seasoning - I get mine with chicken but you could choose your main. I had no idea this place existed until I drove by it while running errands earlier today. I decided to give it a shot and ended up placing an order the minute they opened up for the evening. The customer service was a 10/10 and I am so grateful for that. I ordered the American Pad Thai with chicken at a level 3 spice as well as the Pad Kee Mao (recommended by the man running the truck.) I completely devoured the Pad Thai when I got home and took a few bites of the Pad Kee Mao. Both were delicious and surprisingly light. I don't feel sluggish at all even though the portion was fairly large. When I go back (and I'll definitely go back) I'll be sure to order the level 5 spice instead of the 3. read more

First time at Gotji's. It was very good. Ordered American Pad Thai with chicken. My standard first dish order at any Thai restaurant. Nicely balanced flavors, and just spicy enough. Ordered pork egg rolls too. Came out hot and crispy. Also very good. Customer service was tip top. Tild me it would take 15 minutes for them to prepare my food. Everything is made fresh so expect a 10 to 15 minute wait for your food. And... it is worth it. Prices are reasonable and portion size is good. Worth a trip, y'all. read more

Wow! I was floored by this unassuming food truck. My family and I ordered the Texas curry and the Best Pad Thai. The owner was very welcoming and answered all of our questions about the menu. The pad Thai had a really delicious broth and wasn't dry. It had perfectly fried shrimp and shallots for texture. I also enjoyed the bean sprouts which added freshness. The Texas curry was a standout dish. The brisket added a beautiful Smokey flavor and the curry had lots of depth. It was spicy, sweet tangy and it left me wanting more. The owner explained that he made the curry paste himself and it really tasted made a difference in the quality of the food. He was so kind and even gave us some of some food that he cooked for himself for lunch! I can't wait to come back here and bring some fellow Asians to impress :) read more

I had the Pad Kee Ma (spicy) and my partner had the Street Noodles with chicken. WOW. My husband is not a fan of Thai food and boy did he like this place! We went there randomly and the food was just darn good. So fresh. The gentleman working was so sweet and helpful with the menu. We are totally going back again. Oh, we, also, had the pork egg rolls...like you need to get those with meal. I know we will! We will for sure return and also can't wait to try their pasta on M-Ws! Incredible food. I had the Best Pad Thai (T1) and Pork Eggrolls (T2) - it was one of the best meals I have ever had that was not at a sit down restaurant and was a lot better than the majority of meals I have had period. The Pad Thai is unlike any Thai food I have ever had, in the best way. The flavors were incredible together and it wasnt heavy like other Thai I have had. When I arrived they looked closed, so I texted. I quickly got a reply that they were on an emergency grocery run and they'd be right back then asked for my order so they could get it started immediately. Overall the experience was so pleasant.
