The Best Pad Thai ($18): Thai-style stir-fried rice noodles with egg, dried sweet radish, chili, garlic, crab meat, bean sprouts, and chives, topped with fried tempura shrimp, crispy shallots, tobiko, peanuts, and lime. I love pad thai, and this version delivered! The flavors were quite concentrated, so I recommend mixing the noodles thoroughly before eating. While the shrimp tempura was crunchy with a nice batter, I personally prefer the traditional proteins -- beef, chicken, pork, or tofu. BBQ Brisket Clay Pot ($19.50): A Thai-Chinese style clay pot featuring garlic, ginger, smoky brisket, onion, mushroom, Thai jasmine rice, green onion, sweet soy sauce, and chili garlic sauce. The combination didn't quite work for me and I wasn't a fan of the flavors, though my husband absolutely loved it. Situated in a prime location on Main St. in Buda, Gotji's is a perfect bite at all times! I love that so much of their food is gluten free friendly, and it is clearly marked on the menu. Every staff member I've spoken to is well aware of gluten allergy limitations from the menu, so I feel safe eating there every time! Also, every single employee I've talked to is very kind and genuinely friendly! They even let me stand under the tent as it poured rain during last weekend's Sip 'N' Stroll! Their American Pad Thai is fine, but the only Pad Thai you actually need is the Best Pad Thai! We get the tempura shrimp in the side (which they normally do to keep it crunchy anyways), and the rest of it I am fine to eat since they use real crab! I could eat that Pad Thai morning, noon, and night, and I have multiple times over the last couple years! It is hard to find fried spring rolls that are gluten free anywhere other than the frozen section at the grocery store. Gotji's has them, and they are crunchy and delicious! I could eat far too many of these and have just to grab a quick bite sometimes after a farmers market! Veggie spring rolls that are gluten free? Yes please! They also have a magical looking brisket curry that I do not think is gluten free, but we cannot wait to try it really soon! I can't say enough good things about this place. The food is always so tasty no matter what plate I get. Some other places have dry saucy noodles but not this place. It's always perfect. The manager fixed the problem with my order when the Uber Eats driver basically took my food. He made sure I still got something to eat late night. I was so grateful for this type of service. I got the fried spring rolls and the pad thai (their 'best' version) and overall I probably won't order again but it wasn't bad. I was really surprised by how good the fried spring rolls were because they had lots of flavor and a bit of spice and the sauce was great too. the tempura shrimp on the pad thai was very wet and did not have any crisp. The flavor was also stale, just not great. The pad thai wasn't special and lacked flavor. There were large pieces of egg which bothered be as I dislike egg and I don't mind it in pad thai when its small, but there was a lot of egg and it was chunky. I didn't enjoy my main dish, which is what they are known for, but I did enjoy the egg rolls. read more

This has become one of my go-to places in Buda. I cannot say enough about Gotji's Kitchen. They're great all around - most of which their offerings and dishes have all been superb. First off - the Texas Brisket Curry is DA BOMB! It started as a special menu in October, and it's become my favorite dish, I get it everytime I'm in the area, and I cannot get enough of it. It's smoky good, very savory, excellent flavor and spices. I have bought this curry for several of my Austin friends - all of which were just blown away by it. They just keep asking for more, I could easily be a self employed Uber Eats driver for this dish alone. It's phenomenal and it's always consistently great. My other favorite go-to dish here is the Pad Ka Prao Beef. It's beef with basil and spices - omg for some reason these guys have made the best Pad Ka Prao I've ever had. I get spicy level 4 (out of 5), it's so darn flavorful and it's not greasy. I have had this dish at a few other Thai places in Austin and around, and Gotji's place has been the best to date. I cannot get enough of this dish! I've also tried the Crab Fried Rice, Pad Cashew Chicken, Street Noodles, Pork and Veggie Egg Rolls, Best Curry (Seafood), Pumpkin Curry (temporarily), Crispy Chicken Dish, and Green Curry w/ Chicken. All of which were really good. I was pleasantly surprised with the Pad Cashew Chicken - very flavorful. Also the Best Curry had an array of seafood in it - very refreshing. The customer service here has always been spot-on great. They are very nice. What makes this place the best of the best is they offer excellent quality and tasting dishes, at a fair price, and they are consistently great - every time. I have had repeat orders and repeat dishes over the past few month, I visit them weekly, and it's always the same product, same excellent quality, same execution, same great flavors. A sad update for me to give. They got rid of the Basil Fried Rice which was my moms favorite and only reason she loved to come here. They've also changed the chicken that was in their Pad Thai, it's no longer a pounded flat chicken that made it so good. :( read more

We called in our order and the staff were super nice. We ordered the crab fried rice, chicken pad Thai, spring rolls and egg rolls. The crab was super fresh and not imitation crab. Personally, the taste was a bit interesting for both dishes but we added some plum sauce and it tasted much better. We always considered ourselves lovers of authentic dishes, but this food experience was a bit different for us. The rolls however were delicious and didn't disappoint. OMG so good!!!!! Not to be a snob but almost all of the Asian food I've had in Texas has been so mediocre to just ugh since we moved here but Gotji is by far the best Asian food we've had in any cuisine! We used to haul our asses up to Thai Town from Long Beach when we lived in LA in search of good Thai food, and Gotji is easily as good as anything we've ever had there! Both The Best Pad Thai (seafood) and the American Pad Thai (we got chicken) were excellent, as were the Crab Fried Rice and The Best Curry. My least favorite was the Pad Kee Mao, which was still very good but the other dishes were exceptional! We got spicy level 4 (out of 5) and it was plenty spicy for us (we have high but not freakishly high) spice tolerances. Service was amazing and so friendly! Food took about 20 min to come out so I recommending calling in your order if you're in a rush. read more

This morning when getting breakfast at Dave's Tacos I noticed a new food truck next to Dave's Tacos, it was closed so I asked Dave about the trailer. Dave said that they will open for lunch today for the first time in Austin. and highly recommended them. My wife and I came for lunch to try this new food trailer and OMG! this is the real deal. The summary of this experience was that I would happily eat here every day. Objectively very good, and there is parking behind it! Food Crab Fried Rice with Tobiko, Pad Ka Prow, veggie egg rolls Both were fantastic, came out super quick and were hot and fresh. Garlic sauce suggested for the meal was absolutely delicious. Presentation was a total delight, with cucumber coins off to the side and all the toppings just right. We shared both of the dishes, and can't wait to try other things on the menu as well. Did not take photo because it was pretty dark already, but definitely photo worthy. Service It's a food truck, but the staff gave better service than many sit down brick and mortars. Total delight of our day, and they even leave gummies with your meal, which was super nostalgic for me as my grandfather always bought these for home for after meals. Vibe The tables were nice and clean and the food truck has cute faux plants and a nice clean and stocked utensil area. Ordered this through favor recently; I ordered the American pad Thai and pineapple fried rice, which they ended up being out of, so I got just regular fried rice, and veggie egg rolls. The Pad Thai was delicious and perfectly spicy! The chicken in it was pull apart good. I didn't care for the fried rice too much; something was off and I couldn't quite tell what. The veggie rolls were crunchy and good, but cold (this is because of the favor delivery taking longer than expected, not Gotji's fault) I haven't gone to the food truck park myself, so can't speak on that, but the food was pretty good! read more

We don't have a ton of great Asian food in this area, but Gotji's absolutely nails it for Thai. We order on DoorDash nearly once a week. My go-to is the pad sea ew, but I've also had the street fried noodles and the American pad Thai (my husband's favorite) on many occasions. The veggie egg rolls are also VERY good.
