If you see this place open, don't skip on it! The food is freaking amazing! It's a blue food truck outside of the Beer Geek gas station. Man the flavors and the portions are outstanding! Honestly I don't know if there's any place in the area that can really compete. HIGHLY Recommend: The fish and chips or a shrimp po' boy. Lightly battered and crunchy, never overcooked or over-battered. I definitely feel I'm getting my money's worth every time! read more

The fish was crispy with nice batter. Sides were a nice compliment. Crab cakes were great as well. The dipping sauces that came with it made it more flavorful. It is a tad bit on the greasier side, but over does hit the seafood craving. Ambiance was in a food truck park which is great if you're coming with friends as there is variety with the other trucks. I did do take out as it was very hot today. read more

This place was ok. Decided to try it because the place I wanted to try was closed. I had the combo plate with catfish and crab cakes. It came with fries and hush puppies. The fries were good. The hush puppies were really good. They had a good flavor. It seems like there was crawfish or something inside too. The crab cakes were ok. I kept biting into pieces of shell, so I ended up not finishing them. The fish was fried well. The breading was seasoned, but the fish wasn't seasoned. The remoulade sauce was good. I didn't try the tartar sauce. It didn't take long to get my food and my service experience was nice. Way South is a nice food truck park. There were plenty of benches to sit and eat in the courtyard. There is a playground for kids, and I think I saw a stage for live music. read more

This place is salty! I mean the swollen ankles and hands kinda salty. Had to drink 2 gallons of water. Portions are large-ish but for the prices they well should be. read more

I was excited to try this place and it fell short. To start, Beaux was initially nice when we walked up, but got rude once I ordered. He didn't ask for a name for my order or others before me. Once the food was done, he'd just leave it out on the counter. Maybe he was having a bad day? Anyways, aside from that the food was barely seasoned. I got the plate with fried oysters, fried shrimp, and fried catfish; it included fries, coleslaw, and hush puppies. I can't really speak on how crispy the food was because I took it to go and we all know fried food gets soggy so that's not really the problem. The coleslaw tasted dirty, like it was tossed in dirt. The shrimp tasted like it was not seasoned at all. The oysters came from a bucket and were also not seasoned. The catfish had maybe a pinch of seasoning but barely anything. The hush puppies and fries tasted the best to me. And I don't even like hush puppies that much. Overall a bust considering the cost, $32 dollars after tax and tip. I would have considered going again if the food was at least good. I can look past a rude person, but I can't get over the mediocre food. read more

I ordered delivery on Saturday night with no expectations. I'd never heard of Beaux Seafood but thought I'd give it a shot. Oh. My. Gosh. The food was delicious! Crab cakes were still hot and tasted good by themselves. But with the lemon and sauce, a whole other level! The shrimp pontchartrain was perfect and buttery and the shrimp po boy was delish. I can't wait to try more from their menu. read more

Never soggy, always crispy and flavorful. Don't come here if you're watching your grease intake.

By far the best food in central Texas. I travel all over the state trying new foods, this place takes the grab prize of them all. The "chef" (not just a cook) has to be a genius. His skills in the kitchen are unmatched. If anyone is stupid enough to give this place a bad review is a lying fast food eater. There's no 1 single thing on their menu that's not amazing. 10/10 i will be back as many times as my wallet allows. (The specials are just a bit better than menu items, which are still amazing too) read more

Overpriced food that's over cooked. The owner is racist. The food is salty, overcooked and service is slow.

The food was delicious!! Fast and friendly service.Did I say the food was delicious!!! I ordered the pick two Basket! Battered fish and shrimp basket that includes hush puppies, slaw and fries!! I definitely recommend this food truck! read more

Second time coming here. I really need to eat here more often as they food is so satisfying. First occasion we had boudain balls, crab cakes and fish and shrimp basket. We were super hungry and THOUGHT we could finish all that but no, it was tons of great seafood. Today, had the fish and chips and man, they have BOTH the fish and chips on lock! Fish is beer battered which makes a super light, crispy and airy batter. I made the mistake of having it with malt vinegar-not that it wasn't good, but the fish really didn't need any help as it was killer by itself. The fries, I don't know what magic seasoning they use but they're simply one of the best fresh, skin on fries ever that were topped with flaky salt. Yeah definitely gonna return. I cant wait to try their Poboys! read more

Amazing Cajun food that comes out of this food truck. Super friendly and decent prices for the large portions they serve up. It's good to have a truck like this in south austin. Can get all your beverages at the store next door read more

Great food. Truly a food truck treasure spot. Everything as great but especially their hush puppies. Legendary!!

Gave it a second try and once again the food is super greasy and salty. Overpriced for what it is. Just go buy frozen fish from HEB and make it yourself. It will taste better. read more

When I noticed this food truck while driving along Main Street, I just KNEW I had to stop in-- I looove seafood and the menu had me drooling in anticipation! I got the "Pick 3 Basket" because I couldn't choose just one thing to try out the first go. Very generous portions; I had leftovers because it was heaping with food. The alligator was very salty with a firm bite much like calamari in texture but not taste. The catfish was moist and flavorful, pairing well with the supplied specialty tartar sauce. The jalapeno hush puppies were sweet but too spicy for me though I liked the crawdad bits in them. The fries were in that yummy limp yet well-fried state. The shrimp were my favorite... perfectly cooked-- not overcooked which is so easy to accidentally do. I didn't try the slaw. The staff were very friendly and easy to chat with. I was given an estimated wait time of ten minutes but my meal was ready in five. They had a really nicely maintained seating area with picnic tables and plants, as well as a restroom back in the parking area. Highly recommended! I intend to be back to try more of their menu! read more

Incredible food! I've tried having everything on the menu, even though I live 40 minutes away. Last time I had his fried catfish with hush puppies, (never leave there without them!) and it was memorable. The man is a genius. read more

Beaux is a 10 out of 10 EVERY TIME. They simply don't miss. So much care is put into this food and the flavors are like a party in your mouth. Tits the best seafood you'll find in this area, and I'd argue that if this was a brick and mortar, they'd likely be one of the busiest spots in town, and one of the best. My only one little gripe (and it's a selfish one), is I wish they offered a burger, or something "kid friendly" as none of my kids are seafood fans (they're missing out!) which means I often have to either A) skip my craving for Beaux seafood lol or B) make two stops to get them good elsewhere. We live in Hills of Bear Creek and there are a ton of families here who absolutely love Beaux's, and I've heard similar feedback from neighbors; that they'd eat there more frequently if there was a small kids or non seafood menu. So, in the business sense, they'd prob attract more customers if they offered just a couple items for the picky eaters, which would allow families or large groups to be able to all eat from the same place. Otherwise, there's nothing to complain about. I just wish I could actually finish all of the food they give me because the portions are huge! Every single item I've tried (which is everything but the alligator bc that's just not my thing) has been divine! read more

Never would have guessed you could get such a big menu of cajun seafood favorites from a roadside food truck! Portions are absolutely huge - the hushpuppies may be the largest I have ever had. Everything is cooked up fresh to order as well. I ordered the pick 2 basket with crawfish and alligator, so yummy! Perhaps a little salty, but it was so good that doesn't even matter. Service was friendly, too. Love that there is a small dedicated lot for the food truck park area, makes stopping in easy peasy. read more

I kinda don't want to tell y'all how freaking good this place is so y'all don't go and eat up all the food. We've had two meals here and lemme tell you, I couldn't stop thinking about it for two weeks. Mahi-mahi over etouffee, Fried shrimp (lightly battered) and oysters, alligator, beer battered fish, scallops ponchetrain-it's all so good! The remoulade and tarter are perfect, fries crunchy, slaw is fresh BUT the best part is the HUGE moist hush puppies. Dang. read more

Drove over today for lunch... got the catfish basket and added crab cakes. Everything was spectacular! Cornmeal battered catfish was fresh, hot and crisp! Fresh cut fries (hard to find these days) and the hush puppies were huge and decadent with chunks of crawfish. Yum!! Remoulade type sauce was so good for dipping. Crab cakes had delicious flavor and came with a buttery sauce. Can't wait to eat here again! read more

Okay, nothing to write home about. It's certainly wasn't worth over 30$ for a poboy sandwich and a shrimp basket. Maybe 15$ would be fair.

ok so hear me out... i've been on a city wide quest to find top notch catfish. i've eaten at four different places in the past week or so. the catfish at beaux is definitely top notch! however, i would like a bit more seasoning and the option to not have all of my food touching. in addition to the catfish, i tried alligator, fries, hush puppies, and coleslaw. alligator- was a no for me, my husband ate it. and i didn't like the taste it left all over everything else. hush puppies- YES. the hush puppy mixture featured green onions and a crawfish here & there (very nice surprise) coleslaw-- hard no. i am always so hopeful with coleslaw because sometimes (and i mean every blue moon) it has really impactful flavors. i will return one day, to try their other seafood offerings... but i hope they kick that seasoning up a notch until then! read more

Let me start by saying that I go on a lot of trips and try a lot of different seafood. This place had been a want to try spot for a while and finally got to it not that long ago. I ordered one of the baskets, and it wasn't too bad. The basket came with fried shrimp, French fries, and hush puppies. Now the hush puppies were spectacular! Definitely some of the best that I've had! The shrimp didn't have much flavor, and the French fries tasted like they were fried in the same oil as any fish....not a good flavor for fries. The other item purchased was the gumbo, and honestly it was low in the gumbo stats. You could tell the rice in it had been reheated and it wasn't spicy, just overall wasn't very great. Everyone has different taste, but this just definitely wasn't something that we liked unfortunately. read more

My job offers DoorDash as a perk, so I decided to treat myself to crawfish mac & cheese and hush puppies after a long week. Oh my gosh, the food was INCREDIBLE. And the portion sizes were so big that I was able to split my order into two meals! Amazing value for the price, worth every penny. I'll definitely be ordering from Beaux again, and I've already started recommending them to all my friends and neighbors. Beaux Seafood - Ponchatrain & fried calamari. Never disappointed. - Food Trucks Near Me - Manchaca, Texas

The hushpuppies are good. That's about it. I've had Beaux's 3 different times now. The first was okay but I think I was blinded by overexcitement of just moving to the area and being happy there were food trucks nearby. The second visit was okay. I got this scallops and rizzotto special that came with Chinese broccoli. Holy sh!t is was soooo salty. So salty that I could only eat half of it, but then I felt like my body was going to shut down from all the salt. The third visit was the last and final visit. All we got was the fish and chips basket. It was off. First, a beer batter should be crispy all the way through. It was still gooey on the inside. And in this case, the batter on the fish was completely bland. Then the fries. GROSS. You can tell the fries were fried in the same oil as everything else in the shop. They tasted like a seafood medley, no potato flavor at all. Beaux, you gotta change that oil, hun, or at least fry the fries in a separate fryer. Ugh, I'm gagging here just thinking about it. Not to mention, my girlfriend vomited up all the food a couple of hours later and I had a stomach ache all evening. Anyway, don't fall for the hype here. Anything fried is going to taste okay. There are plenty of other delicious options in Buda to choose from that are delicious and also don't have a tainted reputation. read more

We happened upon the trailer on our way home from picking up desserts from Frolla Patisserie, Highly recommend by the way. Anywho, we wanted to get a bite before heading back to North Austin and pulled in. My husband's pallette can be like a six year old's sometimes so he opted out. The woman I spoke with at the window was really sweet and recommended the crab cakes, and I got the crab cake po' boy. So good! The roll was nice and soft. The veggies were fresh, and the sandwich was really, really good. The mac and cheese special was pretty good too. I didn't get a whole lot of the crawfish flavor but it was still nice. I didn't have room to get to the French fries before they got cold, but they were good too. What a great little gem next to a gas station! read more
