Tostones (in basket) Texana arepa & sweet plantains (top right) Plantain baskets (bottom 4 bowls)
Brian M.

Food: Everything I tried was fresh and flavorful with good presentation. I started with the plantain baskets to try each meat and the brisket was my favorite so I tried the Texana arepa and highly recommend it. Try out the different sauces to find your perfect flavor & consider the sweet plantains or peach cobbler for dessert. Service: We showed up before lunch rush & the owner came out and walked us through the menu. He was very professional and passionate about his business. Ambiance: Food truck is clean, eating area is shaded picnic tables, & there is a large, safe turf kids play area with a variety of clean toys to play with. Getting to eat a meal in relative peace was a highlight in itself. You can tell the owners care about the quality of their customers experience.

Shaded outdoor seating. Dog friendly.

Wow! What a great find! My dog and I stopped by on a Thursday afternoon. The outdoor space is shaded and plenty of nice tables. They even had a tv out there. Owners were super friendly and helpful. I ordered the arepa flight and it was incredible! All the meats were smokey and perfectly cooked. My favorites were the steak and the chicken. The soft yet crispy arepa was a perfect balance to the smoke flavor of the meat. The Venezuelan soda tasted like Big Red. Overall absolutely delicious! I can't wait to come back!

2 Flights of arepas - one grilled, one fried. An order of brisket tequenos.

Owner was very nice. Explained the menu. We ordered two flights of arepas. One order fried, one order grilled, plus an order of brisket tequenos. All of the food was hot, well presented, and delicious.

We live in the neighborhood and went to check it out this afternoon and not only were we super impressed with the food, the hospitality of the owner was unmatched! All the toys out were all so clean and my son left us alone the entire meal while he played Will definitely go back! Try the plantain sampler platter, you get to try all the meats in greats combinations and his sauces were bomb too!

Food was amazing definitely get the green guasacaca sauce gave the food a added layer! Definitely get the Tres Leces!! The ambiance was pleasant and laid-back, a great date night spot. The service was wonderful; Jesus and his wife Claudia are the two behind this great truck, and you can tell they put their love in the food. We will definitely find our way out there again!

Food is amazing! A must go, best arepas I have ever had. Great service too and lots of outdoor seating.

I came back and waited about a minutes before I was acknowledged, I was sat and the waitress was attentive. I wanted to try the arepita appetizer which is normally served with shredded beef/pork or chicken on the side- to get a side of plantains instead of meat, it was going to add 3$ to the 14$ appetizer so I just opted to omit the meat all together and still had to pay the $14 ...which I don't feel is appropriate- people always wanna add money to sub a veggie for meat but never reduce the price when just removing the meat all together. Anyways, Ordered my food which was out promptly, the veggie bowl was delicious as always and the arepita appetizer (no meat) was good- reminded me of a fried potatoe cake, I used the arepitas as a vessel for my veggie bowl ! I brought the remainder of my bowl home where I bit into something very hard , once pulling it out of my mouth I discovered some beef snuck it's way into my dish- disappointing forsure but it is the first time out of about 10 times this has happened here. Prices have gone up over the last few years my veggie bowl was 18$.

The flavors and presentation are personal. I ordered plantain (of course!), a corn breakfast taco with chicken and some Venezuelan flan. All were exceptional. My server was super personable and Texas friendly. He pleasantly persuaded me to try the Venezuelan flan because it was made by his mom. It does not take much for me to get weak at knees for dessert. It's challenging to replicate the same experience locally, as these restaurants lack access to the fresh, local ingredients that define their unique cuisine. Casa Colombia does a good job replicating a true Colombian dining experience. Their menu is extensive with some very interesting offerings. Scanning the dining room, I noticed that their portions are huge. We started with a shrimp cocktail, an empanada, and their version of a rum - mango martini. The small option for the shrimp cocktail was bountiful and easily shared. The housemade cocktail sauce was a perfect accompaniment. The empanada was a tad dry, but their spicy salsa sauce was a great addition. Our "martini" was sweet but very satisfying on a warm afternoon. We did want to try their ceviche, but they are using tilapia as their fish. Quality Seafood is not too far away, and I'm sure that they could offer a better-tasting white fish than plain ole tilapia. We split one of their house specials, the Bandeja Paisa Tipica. This is a traditional Colombian dish, and it is a meat lover's dream served on an oversized platter. Our platter arrived with a chorizo link, beef sirloin, rice, red beans with pork, a huge fried chicharrón, an arepa, a sweet plantain, a slice of avocado (well, there's the only healthy portion), and a fried egg on top. We struggled to eat about 70% of this feast. It's going to take a few visits to the gym to work off this lunch. Dis & Dat: Parking is a breeze as they have their own parking lot. They do offer a happy hour that begins at 3 PM. A definite 4-plus star experience.

For a weekday, they had a steady stream of customers the whole time I was here, though I didn't have to wait long either. The woman taking orders was so sweet and even ran my card out to me when I accidentally left it in the card reader. I ended up ordering the brisket arepa at the recommendation of a regular customer ahead of me in line. Delicious. They make a good brisket, y'all! The succulent meat fusing with latinx influence of the arepa for a result reminiscent of Valentina's taco truck (RIP). I'm not an arepa expert, but it was delicious, and PACKED with the good stuff. No skimping here. It also comes with a salsa that seemed like an avocado sauce...only thing I would change is for the sauce to be stronger, as it was too subtle for me and I like a kick. Can't wait to come back and try the burgers now that I know they can cook a brisket.
