Please note they are a food truck located at Far Out Lounge. This food was not good, it was GREAT! When you add friendly staff you can guarantee a customer for life and that is exactly what you get from Los Danzantes. My food was full of flavor, everything looked and tasted fresh. We were also so lucky to get a side of beans that just melt in your mouth. Anyone who knows me knows I love beans, but I promise you have never had beans this yummy. I would go back just for them too! My daughter and I were craving birria tacos after a long flight back home, and luckily this place was not out of our way from my dog sitter's house. We could not be any happier we stopped by. I live in north Austin and will be happy to make the trek back here anytime. Even more points for the great selection of beers that Far Out Longe has to choose from.

An inconspicuous family-owned food truck that will surprise you with the amount of flavor they have packed in their birria tacos! Juicy, flavorful, and tender bites of beef and melty cheese with a side of gorgeous dipping broth. This was my first time trying birria style tacos, and it was one for the books! If you stop by the Far Out Lounge, you gotta give this spot a chance.

located in a food truck in a lot that sometimes has live music playing, the area is cute, surrounded by trees and lights as you're seated at picnic tables. i believe this is a family owned business (?) and they are very kind and welcoming. food took about 20ish mins, but also there was a long line of people there to get food. i got 3 birria tacos and they were actually very filling, so i was able to save one to eat later. they were extremely generous with the birria tacos, stuffing them with lots of meat and even filling the platter with extra toppings like onion and jalapeños. the consome on the side was also flavorful and have chickpeas in them! the salsa was also delicious, with a perfect amount of spiciness to them! they're yummy, but i didn't find it to be anything too spectacular. overall, this is a cute little place for some solid tacos that are nice and filling! you can also maybe listen to some live music while you're at it! *i went here during yelp's free taco week

We came to the Far Out Lounge to see the Battle Of The Bands. When it came time to eat during one of the intermissions we decided to get tacos. Since I am a picky eater I had to really look at the menu and made the decision to get the Tlayuda Oaxaqueña. I originally thought I was going to ask them to 86 some items but I changed my mind. It was an extra large crispy corn tortilla , pork lard, beans, cheese, chorizo and cabbage. I asked if the chorizo was spicy and I was told it was not. It didn't taste spicy either. My daughter on the other hand picked the same menu item as mine but 86'd everything except the cheese. She didn't care for it but instead decided that since I still had everything on my she ate half. I feel like it must be good if she ate it. I can say that I will probably follow them wherever they go and who knows I might try more items.

I came for the Motown Monday revue to see friend is the show and noticed lots of food trucks. We decided to try the birria tacos from los Dazantes and was not disappointed! These things are awesomely tasty!

Awesome tacos! Fast service and generous portions. You can't go wrong here. Only thing is you need to show an ID to walk in.

Really good but total came to $20.78 (!) for three teeny tacos with an extra consomme. OUTRAGEOUS. Probably won't get it again.

I walked over to their truck and asked the gentleman out front if I should go with the birria tacos or the birria quesadillas.

I've driven by El Alma many times being in the Austin area, but I never went until last Thursday, and after surviving a brief monsoon, I was glad to get a few drinks and eat some good TexMex with my large party just before a wedding. The best way to describe El Alma is that it is TexMex that is Austinified. Everything feels a little more unique and special than your classic TexMex options. I started off with a Mezcal Margarita that put a little hair on my chest and got me going. My group ordered two of their Nachitos, which were these nice nachos. For my main entrée, I got 3 Al Pastor tacos on corn with a side of their rice and beans. Their pastor was served with pineapples, onions, and cilantro with limes on the side. They were great and I immediately crushed them all. I thought their rice and beans were pretty good as well and a step above the typical TexMex rice and beans. The server was pretty attentive throughout our whole visit, and I honestly have no complaints about what they had to offer. Pricing on the meal and drinks was pretty standard for Austin, and I didn't think anything really took me out of the experience. On top of that, for being in Barton Springs, there is quite a bit of parking. I would love to come back at some point in the future and hang out on their rooftop bar because that seems like a lot of fun. Shoutout to El Alma for being a TexMex oasis saving me from the MoPac traffic. RIYL: TexMex, but better than your average

As I was leaving my hotel I bumped into some coworkers outside and mentioned I was heading here for dinner. A person passing by overheard me and stopped to rave about how they're the best tacos you can get in Texas. I also ordered a side of chips and salsa but my weak tastebuds embarassingly couldn't handle the spice. Seating was limited but I was carrying out anyways. So we were thinking of tacos or Mexican food and my daughter suggested this spot as she had come here with some friends and really enjoyed their sopecitos. I had never had a sopecito! What is that! So we had to try... We were lucky to arrive at the right time (9 pm!) where we got their last table!! Make reservations or something because this is another one of those places that fills up! So- we were taken care of immediately: chips and some very hot salsas were set on the table while we chose. They menu is in QR code format, but we asked and got paper menus as well. Well I got the chicken sopecitos , my daughter got the pork ones and my partner got the meat tacos. Everything was delicious, the food arrived promptly, the portion size was perfect and bountiful and everything was super enjoyable. I really enjoyed trying some New Mexican favorites. Next time I will try some other delicacies since I always get tacos tacos burritos or quesadillas: time for some new items on the menu! Enjoy!
