But at long last, I visited Briscuits on my latest trip. Briscuits is best enjoyed in a group setting where you can share many things. Their menu is full of appeal and it's painstaking to be forced to choose. I chose the Brisket and Jelly Biscuit based on the recommendation from the guy working here, and he was right. It was great. The brisket itself was nothing remarkable, but the biscuit was unreal. And the jelly was a nice touch. I never imagined the jelly + brisket combo, but folks, it works. Also, the day before, my wife showed me the inside out cinnamon roll that they posted on their Instagram story. It looks mind blowingly amazing on IG - I couldn't not try it. But this is exhibit A why multiple people are needed to come here. There was zero shot I was eating all of this. I probably got through 50-60% of it, but that's all I could handle. I made friends with a couple of guys sitting next to me and actually donated a few bites to them because I couldn't stand to toss something so tasty. So briskets finally happened. Hopefully a return trip is in store for my next visit.

The area is cute because it shares outside space with Radio Coffee. Don't let looks fool you because there are plenty of tables to enjoy the day and our day was a truly nice out to enjoy food. The food trucks are in a circle and surround a playground in the middle. It is a cool venue and while I wouldn't call it particularly nice, it is fairly clean. After the taco appetizer, we ordered gnocchi pomodoro and the casarecce with basil pesto and tomatoes from Artipasta with tiramisu for dessert. The pesto was good, but lacking in flavor a bit. The gnocchi were delicious, great texture and a wonderful tomato sauce. We honestly should have placed two orders for the gnocchi and skipped the casarecce. My friends liked the tiramisu but said it was a bit different from a traditional tiramisu. We wanted to try a vodka pizza from Day's Pizza but they were completely sold out for the day (no dough left). We tried the paneer entree and aloo paratha from the Desi Spot. The food took awhile to come out and I would have liked a few more pieces of paneer but it was all delicious. For the mini or street tacos we chose asada and carnitas (Mexican style fried pork). You get 4 mini tacos and can choose your meat of choice. The asada was good (however, once you've had asada on the west coast, nothing ever comes close to duplicating those flavors), the carnitas on the other hand, were on point! I was pleasantly surprised by the mix of fatty pork meat and use of the different cuts, very tasty and paired nicely with their hottest salsa. Unfortunately we didn't try one of their infamous dogs.
