    Schnitzy's Schnitzel Schticks

Update because this place is consistently great every time and Mike added garlic & Parmesan fries with basil cream sauce to the menu. Run don't walk to try these!!! So good. Still highly recommend this awesome food truck.

Wow! That's what you'll say when you dig in. I had the Buffaloin with Vinegar & Old Bay fries. My wife had the Alohog with garlic parm fries. Portions are huge and food is delicious! Mike and staff will have you smiling and leaving full.

Schnitzy's BIG OL' BOX OF FRIES came in pizza box which enchanted the excitement of palates. Ordered fries with Parmesan cheese and Garlic... perfect combination! Quite satisfied! And the owner came to offer us their famous Pork tenderloin schnitzel with half wedge of lemon. Oh my! Inside the pork tenderloin was perfectly moist and flawlessly well-cooked!!!

TDLR: Great schnitzel sandwiches, Dole Soft Serve, and huge portions! Excellent food, great Dole soft serve, and great service. I got the Alohog which is a face sized schnitzel sandwich, absolute amazing portions. Bring someone with you to help or be prepared to take leftovers! It has grilled pineapple, jalapeño cream cheese, thick cuts of bacon, and lettuce. The fries were alright but the star of the show is the insanely good sandwich. Also, they serve Dole Soft Serve which basically is like sherbet but doesn't taste artificial which is a way better option than ice cream whenever it's somehow 90 degrees in the middle of Fall, but that's Texas for you!

I will say, I'm on the fence about this place and really want to try them again to see if maybe they just had an off day. That being said, my experience today was that they were one of the slower food trucks I have been to recently, and it may be because they cook up their schnitzel, in which case I think it may be more logistics than anything else that slows them down. But the schnitzel was great, and the portions are huge. Best of all, the meat isn't dry even though the cut is so thin, which was really nice. For the price, it was definitely a lot of food - more food than was reasonable for me to finish. The Schnitzel Sticks portion was reasonable and it came with a dipping sauce - the balsamic is super sweet and a little overpowering, plus there was so little in the cup, I would probably choose a different dipping sauce next time. The sandwiches, though. There was so much meat - it felt like there was enough for 3 sandwiches. I got the Alohog, and it was delicious. It had a nice glazed bacon and some pineapple. My only gripe would be the jalapeño cream cheese. It sort of seemed like a cream cheese with jalapeño slices thrown in it without much merging of flavor. Maybe a little more flavor on that would take it to the next level. The fries are nice, but when they say salted, they sure mean salted. Overall, it was a nice food truck and a decent lunch, but the awkward portion size and the long wait made it feel like more of a novelty than anything else. Maybe some small logistic tweaks - getting a lot of food is great, but if the portion sizes have to be a little smaller to shorten wait times, for example, I would be happily boost this rating even if the price remained the same.

Absolutely delicious. Midwest tenderloins! Schnitzel on a Stick with Hot Honey and Lemon is the greatest thing I've ever tasted. We had the Midwest Classic, The Caprese, The Alohog, and The Laurel. Each was different and DELICIOUS. The garlic parm fries were so good we ate every last one. The Dole Whip is legit Disney/Hawaii and the toppings were an excellent touch. Best food truck experience we've ever had.

Really great, friendly service and delicious food - will definitely be back to try a sandwich (okay...and the dole whip!)

O---M---GOSH! if you havent tried this place, RUN, do not WALK!…read more my group of 6 all ordered different sammies, ALL WERE LOADED down with proteins! AKA MEAT! toppings were fresh around the board - and everyone raved about their sandwiches - all had different breads and they were talked about too. i got the french dip $15 and could only manage to put away 1/4 of it. meat was tender & well seasoned, good cheese ratio (i skipped onions & horseradish mayo) and au jus was very good. cant remember the last time a group order or various dishes received rave reviews across the board! side special of carrot fries was hot, fresh, well salted & surprisingly yummy. i dont like carrots - in any form - but i guess i have now found a form i like! side cheese curls was SO chewy-licious seasoned in garlic butter! and dont skip the desserts! several of us got the lemon bar $4 which was everything bright and good! i also got a NY style b&w cookie $5 that was a big as my hand. service was fast & friendly and amazingly perfectly accurate - important if you are taking food to go. which might be a good idea at peak times. seating at bar, and a few hightops with 2 hightops for 2 outside. also a picnic table outside. we all have other dishes we are anxious to go back and try. and in a town where a lot of places roll up their shops after lunch, its nice that turcotte's stays open til 9. meats by the pound available as well.

It was probably close to a lb of meat. The roast beef was fresh and I ate it all after a 5 mile hike. The venue is super cute and surprising to be in a strip mall. The family who owns and runs it is super nice. I would come back to try their other sandwiches because my friend said the Reuben was really good. I will update my review after I try another sandwich.

They were out of chicken so couldn't make a couple of the sandwiches, one which we wanted to try. Then we asked for another sandwich and they said they don't make that sandwich anymore and we must be looking at an old menu bc they "hadn't had that sandwich in a while". Ok, that happens, but we were looking at the menu on their own website. Oookkk. We asked what other sandwiches were available and they said 2-3 of the other sandwiches on the menu so we went with one of those. The total for 4 sandwiches was 59. That felt high to me but I know prices are up everywhere so I figured, if it's a good sandwich it'll be worth it. We showed up to pick up our order and they had a menu posted with a bunch of other options. I was annoyed now, bc the other options looked better than what I ended up ordering but he didn't mention any of those on the phone. Overall the sandwiches were just ok. Not enough filling for the bread and was dry. We ended up adding sauces at home. Overall I was disappointed and would not go back.

Ever since Amazon took over whole foods their deli and salads area are so meh, bland and not fresh. I used to live in Long Beach CA and I would go up to LA for work a few times a month. I would look forward to those days when my accounts would ask to pick up Mendocino farms for lunch. All the salads delish. Always the most in-season veggies, freshly made salad dressings and it was just all the things I LOVE and really miss being so land locked here in Central Texas. 8/10. Friendly, helpful, efficient 8/10 Restaurant-fun, clean, quirky as I remember it.. cows hanging on the ceiling. 9/10 Food- I had the Crispy Rice Salad with tofu. -And a large side of the couscous (I LOVE that couscous... its creamy, light, the texture is fun and its super as a side or adds a boost to any salad or sandwich). -the salad greens crisp, rice was an amazing crunch. -dressing was soo good! Ps: LOVE how the dressing has its own "home" in the to-go container. -points taken off for the tofu.. it was SUPER salty. Not sure if that is always the way or it was just a bit heavy handed today. It was not edible (bummer). The salad and the large couscous lasted me 4 meals. They pack a LOT of salad in that to go container. Is it worth for "just a salad or sandwich" here. YES! You will realize how GREAT good high sourced veggies taste when you eat here. Im so glad there is a piece of Cali here in Austin! I haven't had this level of greens in over 3 yrs since moving to ATX.
