The Best Pad Thai ($18): Thai-style stir-fried rice noodles with egg, dried sweet radish, chili, garlic, crab meat, bean sprouts, and chives, topped with fried tempura shrimp, crispy shallots, tobiko, peanuts, and lime. I love pad thai, and this version delivered! The flavors were quite concentrated, so I recommend mixing the noodles thoroughly before eating. While the shrimp tempura was crunchy with a nice batter, I personally prefer the traditional proteins -- beef, chicken, pork, or tofu. BBQ Brisket Clay Pot ($19.50): A Thai-Chinese style clay pot featuring garlic, ginger, smoky brisket, onion, mushroom, Thai jasmine rice, green onion, sweet soy sauce, and chili garlic sauce. The combination didn't quite work for me and I wasn't a fan of the flavors, though my husband absolutely loved it. It's not as flavorful as the pad thai so we had to use the sauce they provided.

I watched an absolutely devastating Spurs game on Saturday. Imagine watching all your hopes and…read moredreams being taken from you. It was a tragic night. On the flip side, the Shrimp Po' Boy I got at Strut & Dorothy was sensational. Usually when the Armadillo Den is packed out like it was last Saturday for the Spurs and Knicks Game 5 plus a World Cup Saturday, these food trucks parked inside are buzzing trying to get as many orders out as possible. Though it took a while to place an order with the huge line, once my order was placed, it was ready very shortly after. The guy running the truck apologized for the wait, which felt unnecessary because they seemed to be on top of it, but I appreciate the kindness and customer service nonetheless. Pricing is about what I expected for a food truck: $14 po' boy and $7-8 for fries served with ranch or bleu cheese. The po' boy with all the fixings was exactly what I needed to calm my hunger and nerves while watching the Spurs collapse. It wasn't the glorious night I wanted, but the po' boy was the bandage on the wound. RIYL: The most impressive seafood served in a food truck in Austin

They were out of chicken so couldn't make a couple of the sandwiches, one which we wanted to try. Then we asked for another sandwich and they said they don't make that sandwich anymore and we must be looking at an old menu bc they "hadn't had that sandwich in a while". Ok, that happens, but we were looking at the menu on their own website. Oookkk. We asked what other sandwiches were available and they said 2-3 of the other sandwiches on the menu so we went with one of those. The total for 4 sandwiches was 59. That felt high to me but I know prices are up everywhere so I figured, if it's a good sandwich it'll be worth it. We showed up to pick up our order and they had a menu posted with a bunch of other options. I was annoyed now, bc the other options looked better than what I ended up ordering but he didn't mention any of those on the phone. Overall the sandwiches were just ok. Not enough filling for the bread and was dry. We ended up adding sauces at home. Overall I was disappointed and would not go back.

The to-go box was packed with food, easily enough for two meals for me! At around $18, I was happy! I really enjoyed the flavor a lot... it was complex and super spicy. I loved the fried basil, and the cool cucumber was a nice touch for balance. The ground pork was seasoned very well, but overall it was just a bit too fatty for my preferences. The rice was likewise just a bit too oily, leading me to feel a bit too satiated after eating it. Regardless, it definitely hit the spot and I'll be back to try other dishes!
