I stopped going here for a little while because I noticed the work started to get a little sloppy and my nail polish was taking several hours to dry. I decided to go back and try them again. I got the gel manicure and a polish change on my toes. The process of the gel manicure was nice and I like the shape of my nails. However, the polish near the cuticles look terrible and sloppy. Also, when trimming my cuticles she clipped entirely too low and now the area around my cuticles hurt. This is another reason I stopped coming here, it was not a one time thing. As for my polish change, I wore sandals for about 3 hours after I left. I went to the gym and when I finished my workout, my socks were stuck to my socks and all of the polish was smudged. I'm not sure why the polish done here takes so long to dry. I have never had this problem anywhere else. After a second chance, I will not be returning to this shop. read more

I really love this place. The atmosphere is nice and modern, it is very clean, and the staff is very nice. I've been here twice, so far. I had Simon and Vee the last time I came. We had a great conversation. I am always reluctant to go to nail salons where the staff is just nosy, and they don't allow you to relax. The conversation we had wasn't forced. I called on Friday evening around 620pm to see what the latest is that they took a walk-in. I asked because they close at 730pm. They told me to go ahead and come in. I got there around 645pm. I got a Pedi. (Sole Satisfying). Regardless of the closing time. They took their time. Didn't rush my pedi and do it sloppy. They did the whole treatment and painted my nails so well. Well, I went to have my nexgen removed and get a simple gel manicure. Not only did the guy cut my cuticles, I was bleeding, then he wrapped my cut finger in acetone....talk about PAIN! No acknowledgement or apologies...just acted like the blood and inflammation was normal. Then, he cut my fingernails all different lengths, on each hand?!? After a two hour manicure and polish, I was ready to goooo! I'll be returning to my regular place, which was closed for the 4th of July week. I have tried Henry as my friend introduced me with him for my pedicure. My first time, but i love his job. He was so talent and very fast. He took his time and super patient. He is the best manicurist i have ever seen. He removed all my ingrown nails. My toes nails weren't hurt any more. Polish was so perfect, he didn't have to clean again at all after finishing his polish. Also, he gave me a great 10' massage. Have gone here a few times good establishment but horrible post manicure. Last Sunday I went and got nexgen tip as I normally do and not only did it take 45+ minutes but it also costed $52 not including tip. I moved past all that and realized it was just the price I had to pay. A couple days go by and I realize they are flimsier than all the other days; after 9 days 3 nails were cracked and the rest were peeling up from the bottom and falling off without me even touching or messing With them ended up having to take all off because too many were missing and rest were about to fall off. Took a chance yesterday and cheated on my regular nail salon. Boy, was I more than pleasantly surprised! We got in immediately (at 6pm on a Saturday). The massage chairs are new and absolutely wonderful. The technicians were friendly and the shop is absolutely gorgeous! I couldn't get over how aesthetically pleasing the space was! I have a long time nail tech(at another salon) that I have been going to for 10 years! I have followed her to different locations. She does amazing work and she's the only one I trust with my nails. She's very busy so I have been going to Gloss since they are close to my house for my pedicures only. Well today was my last visit!! While the girl was doing my pedicure she commented on my nails and how terrible they looked (which they don't). She said I obviously didn't get them done there and I should because they looked that bad. WTH? I found that extremely unprofessional. I don't know what has happened to this place. They have had so much turnover and obviously don't have the right people in place currently. They have lost me as a customer. I went to this nail salon about two months ago and honestly i regret it so much i wish i never went. the only other time i went here was about 8 months ago and it was also a bad experience. i got an acrylic set with what im assuming was a very inexperienced nail tech or she just wasnt good at acrylics... they werent filed well so most of them werent even (i got almond shaped nails) but i gave her the benefit of the doubt and thought maybe she just wasnt the best at acrylics. so i give them another chance a month or two ago... i went in just for tips and nexgen which usually takes about an hour maybe an hour and a half. it took 2 and a half hours... it was ridiculous and my friend had somewhere to be. so since we drove together that made her an hour late. but what was worse was the actual nail service. anyone that gets nexgen knows its 3 coats of powder. this lady put 5 coats on so if you can imagine how bad it looked.. it looked terrible. i had to ask about 4 times for her to file them down until someone else had to do it. now its 2 months later and my nails have never been in worse condition. theres a noticeable indentation line where they filed my actual nail down too much so they are very weak and fragile. most of them have broken half way down my nail bed. they look awful and unhealthy now and i couldnt be more upset with them.... just a warning to anyone considering coming here. read more

Called a little after 10 am on a Saturday morning and they were able to take me at 11 am for SNS dipping powder manicure. They got me in as soon as I arrived. Evan did my nails and never made me feel like he was rushing. I have been getting my nails done with SNS dipping powder for a while, so I knew what color I wanted. When I arrived they didn't have that color. I was happy to pick another color this time, but one of the ladies said she had some at home that she just hadn't brought in yet and would go get it to see if my color was in what she had. I told her it wasn't necessary, but she insisted and it ended up that she did have my color! I was amazed that they would go to that trouble. Found this place tucked away next to Tom Thumb. The space was really cute, big TVs, comfy chairs with back support pillows. The people were all very friendly and helpful. I just went in for a regular manicure, nothing fancy. My tech was super thorough with her work, she carefully shaped my nails until they were the right shape and had me go over her work making sure I was happy before continuing on. Her paint job was perfect, and despite my clumsiness, nothing has chipped yet and it's been 4 days :) When I went to pay, it happened to be during their special Mon-Wed deal so I got an additional 10% off. I came here for the first time last weekend 7/26/16, I came with my roommate and we both wanted a pedicure and I got a nexgen manicure. We both got the Cosmo Pedicure, which was really amazing and I highly recommend it!! However, when it came time to get my Nexgen manicure that I was talked into, I was a little hesitant bc normally when I get nexgen it usually peels up on the corners bc it's not done right. Anyways, I had Vivian do my nexgen but she rushed through it bc she had to leave immediately after to get a new cellphone from Verizon. She literally started applying the nexgen and didn't even bother to trim the dead skin around my nails so the color I love but my nails look all gross bc she missed steps. It also is peeling up around the corners and it's only been a week. A good manicure for me normally lasts a month since my nails don't grow super fast. They both did a great job and are now the 2 technicians that I request. The place is very pretty inside and they are very friendly. They also have tons of colors to choose from which is important to me and the services are reasonably priced. The salon also offers a program in which you can collect points if you download the perka app. For every 200 points you earn you receive $10 off, it is a point for every dollar spent.
