Unfortunately, I had an unenjoyable experience here. The lady that did my pedicure ended up cutting my toe in 2 different places with the cuticle clipper. The gel is already coming off after a few days, as well. Additionally, my next gen manicure was just okay. The nails are all different lengths for the most part, and the "square" shape on some of the nails is extremely pointy at the edges. Overall, sloppy work. This salon is also a little more expensive than any others I have visited. The technicians are extremely friendly and I'm also impressed with the front desk service, but it's more important to me to get quality work with regards to this type of service. read more

I went to this place on Thursday to get my nails done. My whole set was completed before a couple of ladies who walked in before me. I was suspicious of this and realized I didn't get the typical cuticle trimming, nail filing/trimming, etc. The tech, Trang, who did my nails just went into the process of gluing the tips and dipping. I was informed days later when I called to inquire that dip powder is not considered a manicure, but yet they charge $35 for a full set? I also didn't get the complementary mini hand massage that I always get at other salons. I don't know if this is customary for dip powder at other salons, but that was what I was told here. Although the set was done quickly, I was initially very happy with the color and the shape my nails turned out. I will give only that much to Trang. No more than 24hrs later (Friday afternoon) the top coat of my nails were completely scratched up. Part of the powder of two of my nails had chipped off. I called on Saturday morning to ask about this. Although I never got dip powder before, I've had others such as gel and colored powder. I know that the top coat shouldn't have scratched like that and the powder shouldn't have chipped. I understand over time, probably. Not in 24-48hrs. Kevin was completely understanding and told me that my nails definitely shouldn't have done that. He told me to come in as soon as I could to get it fixed. I came in at 3pm. Kevin took a look at my nails and understood why I was not happy. He told the original nail tech that I came in to get my nails fixed because they were scratched. Trang proceeded to speak in Vietnamese, accusing me of bumping into things or doing too much. That's why I had scratches like that. I got really upset at this point and spoke up (yes, Trang thought I couldn't understand her. Surprise I'm Vietnamese.) to let her know I haven't done anything to warrant the amount of scratches and chipping that I had. She proceeded to walk back to her work station and complain to her coworker, Evan. Hello, I'm still sitting right here and I can hear everything you're saying. Her friend, Evan, one point even came over to try to fix my nails and also said I caused the scratches because I probably showered and used too much soap. Um, excuse me? So am I supposed to only shower with water? Worst experience ever. Your techs definitely need some customer service training. Don't blame the customer for your obvious lack of skills. You shouldn't be speaking about customers in Vietnamese either. You'll never know who can understand it. The only reason why this place even gets two stars is because Kevin was good at his job. He was accommodating and spent his time making sure my nails were the best when I left. I definitely wouldn't recommend coming here unless you get someone other than Trang and Evan to do your nails. I stopped going here for a little while because I noticed the work started to get a little sloppy and my nail polish was taking several hours to dry. I decided to go back and try them again. I got the gel manicure and a polish change on my toes. The process of the gel manicure was nice and I like the shape of my nails. However, the polish near the cuticles look terrible and sloppy. Also, when trimming my cuticles she clipped entirely too low and now the area around my cuticles hurt. This is another reason I stopped coming here, it was not a one time thing. As for my polish change, I wore sandals for about 3 hours after I left. I went to the gym and when I finished my workout, my socks were stuck to my socks and all of the polish was smudged. I'm not sure why the polish done here takes so long to dry. I have never had this problem anywhere else. After a second chance, I will not be returning to this shop. read more

I really love this place. The atmosphere is nice and modern, it is very clean, and the staff is very nice. I've been here twice, so far. I had Simon and Vee the last time I came. We had a great conversation. I am always reluctant to go to nail salons where the staff is just nosy, and they don't allow you to relax. The conversation we had wasn't forced. I didn't even care about relaxing. Regarding their work, they do a really great job. The prices are average and they offer a wide variety of services. I called on Friday evening around 620pm to see what the latest is that they took a walk-in. I asked because they close at 730pm. They told me to go ahead and come in. I got there around 645pm. I got a Pedi. (Sole Satisfying). Regardless of the closing time. They took their time. Didn't rush my pedi and do it sloppy. They did the whole treatment and painted my nails so well. I didn't leave the salon until 820pm. I was super impressed that even though they were closed already they stayed and gave great service! read more

Well, I went to have my nexgen removed and get a simple gel manicure. Not only did the guy cut my cuticles, I was bleeding, then he wrapped my cut finger in acetone....talk about PAIN! No acknowledgement or apologies...just acted like the blood and inflammation was normal. Then, he cut my fingernails all different lengths, on each hand?!? After a two hour manicure and polish, I was ready to goooo! I'll be returning to my regular place, which was closed for the 4th of July week. Took a chance yesterday and cheated on my regular nail salon. Boy, was I more than pleasantly surprised! We got in immediately (at 6pm on a Saturday). The massage chairs are new and absolutely wonderful. The technicians were friendly and the shop is absolutely gorgeous! I couldn't get over how aesthetically pleasing the space was! Not to mention, we paid $10 less than we do at our regular salon which was a bonus! And this place is 15 min closer to the house. I highly recommend! I have tried Henry as my friend introduced me with him for my pedicure. My first time, but i love his job. He was so talent and very fast. He took his time and super patient. He is the best manicurist i have ever seen. He removed all my ingrown nails. My toes nails weren't hurt any more. Polish was so perfect, he didn't have to clean again at all after finishing his polish. Also, he gave me a great 10' massage. Pedicures are great, but I've been disappointed with my dip powder manicures twice. I've had to go back and get Lynae to correctly do them. They have a huge collection of colors to choose from, no matter the type of manicure you prefer. The techs just need more training. read more

Love Gloss! They give the best pedicures - the foot baths are always lined with plastic for germ free soaking and they are very detailed in their work. Have gone here a few times good establishment but horrible post manicure. Last Sunday I went and got nexgen tip as I normally do and not only did it take 45+ minutes but it also costed $52 not including tip. I moved past all that and realized it was just the price I had to pay. A couple days go by and I realize they are flimsier than all the other days; after 9 days 3 nails were cracked and the rest were peeling up from the bottom and falling off without me even touching or messing With them ended up having to take all off because too many were missing and rest were about to fall off. I'm no dummy when it comes to trying new salons - I know never to go full-out when experimenting new places so I asked for a simple polish change on my toes to feel out the salon. Molly was incredibly nice and helpful when I was overwhelmed picking out a color for my dip powder nails (I went with hot pink w/ a matte finish) Sophie was thorough in making sure my toes got the pampering they needed after a long week! They even have a loyalty program and 10% off services over $16 Monday-Wednesday. I have a long time nail tech(at another salon) that I have been going to for 10 years! I have followed her to different locations. She does amazing work and she's the only one I trust with my nails. She's very busy so I have been going to Gloss since they are close to my house for my pedicures only. Well today was my last visit!! While the girl was doing my pedicure she commented on my nails and how terrible they looked (which they don't). She said I obviously didn't get them done there and I should because they looked that bad. WTH? I found that extremely unprofessional. I don't know what has happened to this place. They have had so much turnover and obviously don't have the right people in place currently. They have lost me as a customer. Just moved to Plano and I am very picky about my manicures. Read the reviews and decided to give them a try. Called a little after 10 am on a Saturday morning and they were able to take me at 11 am for SNS dipping powder manicure. They got me in as soon as I arrived. Evan did my nails and never made me feel like he was rushing. I have been getting my nails done with SNS dipping powder for a while, so I knew what color I wanted. When I arrived they didn't have that color. I was happy to pick another color this time, but one of the ladies said she had some at home that she just hadn't brought in yet and would go get it to see if my color was in what she had. I told her it wasn't necessary, but she insisted and it ended up that she did have my color! I was amazed that they would go to that trouble. I went to this nail salon about two months ago and honestly i regret it so much i wish i never went. the only other time i went here was about 8 months ago and it was also a bad experience. i got an acrylic set with what im assuming was a very inexperienced nail tech or she just wasnt good at acrylics... they werent filed well so most of them werent even (i got almond shaped nails) but i gave her the benefit of the doubt and thought maybe she just wasnt the best at acrylics. so i give them another chance a month or two ago... i went in just for tips and nexgen which usually takes about an hour maybe an hour and a half. it took 2 and a half hours... it was ridiculous and my friend had somewhere to be. so since we drove together that made her an hour late. but what was worse was the actual nail service. anyone that gets nexgen knows its 3 coats of powder. this lady put 5 coats on so if you can imagine how bad it looked.. it looked terrible. i had to ask about 4 times for her to file them down until someone else had to do it. now its 2 months later and my nails have never been in worse condition. theres a noticeable indentation line where they filed my actual nail down too much so they are very weak and fragile. most of them have broken half way down my nail bed. they look awful and unhealthy now and i couldnt be more upset with them.... just a warning to anyone considering coming here. read more

Found this place tucked away next to Tom Thumb. The space was really cute, big TVs, comfy chairs with back support pillows. The people were all very friendly and helpful. I just went in for a regular manicure, nothing fancy. My tech was super thorough with her work, she carefully shaped my nails until they were the right shape and had me go over her work making sure I was happy before continuing on. Her paint job was perfect, and despite my clumsiness, nothing has chipped yet and it's been 4 days :) When I went to pay, it happened to be during their special Mon-Wed deal so I got an additional 10% off. Went in a few days ago to get a pedicure and it wasnt even late but everyone was going home super early (5:30) and my tech was just annoyed the whole time. I tried making conversation but got shut down each time. My friend asked what kind of mask she was using and would not give her more details, and kept repeating "make your legs soft and silky", ok great but we wanted more details. She wouldnt do what I asked for when I requested french on my toes, she did what she wanted and got mad when I flinched after she CUT me! I have four bad cuts and uneven french toes; I know I will not be back. The discounts are not worth the bad experience. read more
