The pedicure was very relaxing, and Peter's attention to detail while doing my powder dip manicure is like none other. My nails are so gorgeous, they shine like stars, and the colors are so vibrant after he polished them, possibly the prettiest my nails have been after a manicure. If that's the case, it should have been clearly communicated before the service--not after, and certainly not in such an unprofessional manner. I was only asking a basic question, not making a complaint. The way Jesi handled this was unacceptable and made it clear that customer concerns are not respected here. I explained that my skin had become raw, my fingers were swollen afterward, and that I was genuinely worried about infection. What made this experience even worse was the response I received afterward. The salon replied claiming that the technician repeatedly asked me if I was okay during the process, which is simply not true. Hearing that after already dealing with pain and damage is honestly incredibly upsetting. It is a horrible feeling to already be injured and then feel like your experience is being dismissed or rewritten. The truth is that the pain and damage became even more severe over the following days. I later showed my nails to my regular experienced nail technician, and she immediately told me that my natural nails had been over-filed, thinned out, and damaged. I clearly stated beforehand that my nails are sensitive. Because of that, I truly do not think someone inexperienced should have been assigned to perform such an aggressive removal service. She told me I should have booked with Rick if I expected a certain outcome. I didn't call to be lectured. I called to have an issue fixed. She refused a refund and only offered to redo the same service I didn't want. After years of frequenting the salon with no issues , I expected them to remove it and offer something I actually liked. Do not go here unless you are absolutely certain of what service you want and know you'll like it. Don't let them steer you into something else, even if they say, "Don't worry, we'll fix it." After shopping around for 5 months and not finding anyone I made an appointment with JJ. On the day of my appointment she called me and asked me to come in earlier, so she wouldn't have downtime between me and the person before me. I came in earlier. My appointment was on a Wednesday by Saturday one of my thumbs was lifting. Sunday the other in one lifted, two days later it popped off. A week after my appointment my pointer finger started lifting. If messaged JJ on Saturday on IG (same way I booked my appointment) about my nail and asked to come on Monday. They were closed. She asked me to come Tuesday, I couldn't because of work. I suggested Thursday. She said she would let me know. She never did, then messaged that she had been waiting for me. She messaged me at 4 pm on Thursday that she could see me at 7. When I didn't show up she called me (first time she called me to try and resolve this). I told her I hadn't seen the message but could be there in 30 minutes. She said she wouldn't wait since its been over a week since she did my nails. Then proceed to basically tell me I shouldn't be mad because she tried to help me. I asked if going forward was there anything that could be done because debating busy schedules and her "help" was a waste of time. She said no. While I was there, a new customer left his wallet behind. The owner (Annie's mom) actually ran after the guy, but she was too late.
